With Soifon
A small figure could be seen laying in bed staring blankly at the ceiling, the only thing that can be heard was the wind hitting the window showing it was going to be a stormy night.
It has been two weeks since the war ended, and everyone was happy and sto eemed be celebrating for the past few days after the war now things were going back to normal everyone was either healing from their wounds.
Letting a soft sigh escape her lips, laying on her back for a few more minutes she turned onto her side that faced the Awall opposite her bed. Stealing a glance at the clock which read 3 am another sigh escaped the captain's lips.
"I should be asleep by now!" She thought in frustration, this was the third time that she couldn't sleep, and she didn't understand why.
The small woman forced her eyes to close but ended up letting them open again. ' Damn it!' she let out another sigh, as she tried to close her eyes again for the hundredth time.
She even pulled her blanket over her head to see if it work but to no avail, it didn't work.
After trying to fight to go to sleep Soifon finally gave up and sat up with an annoyed huff, kicking her slender legs over the bed and letting her feet touch the cold wooden floor.
Hearing the wind hitting her window again she looked around the dark room only light that was shining through was the moon.
After looking at the window for quite some time the small woman stood up from the bed and walked over to her closet and changed into her stealth force uniform and grabbed Sumabatchi before she headed out of her room, and out into her quarters.'
Guess I can go for a small walk and maybe train a bit, it's not like I can sleep anytime soon!' she thought, as she took small steps through her division.
She knew Unohana had told her to take it easy for a while since they had just won the war, and some reapers were still healing from the battle including the braided captain herself.
The captain did get healed and her arm was back thanks to The human girl Orhime which the small raven-haired captain was grateful for, but Unohana had told her to relax since they finally have peace and the older woman told her to enjoy it and let her spirit pressure to come back which took its toll on her because of using her bankai twice in one day.
But the second squad captain didnt know what else to do but train, and knew she would regret it later especially if Unohana figured out that she was training the older captain would probably give her one of her lecturess since she didnt have anything else to do it's not like anyone would want to be bothered at this hour.
She let out a sigh for the tenth time tonight, and let her legs take her to where ever they wanted to take her. After ten minutes of walking. Soifon let herself stop at a clearing that had a large tree with cherry blossoms in the middle.
Letting a soft smile spread across her pale face as she looked at the tree letting her gray eyes soften as she remembered the past then let out a soft sigh as the image of her and Yoruichi rested underneath the tree after training. Letting her smile fade when it was the last time she saw her mentor before the dark woman had left the soul society.
After letting the memory go through her mind for a few more minutes, before letting out a sigh she looked up at the night sky that was glittered with stars and the moon, the wind blew past her blowing her hair back.
She let herself walk up to the tree and set her sword against it since she wanted to do a few kicks and pounces for a bit. The wind started to blow harder but it didnt bother the young captain all it did was made her train harder.
With Itachi
It was a quiet night in the Rukon district besides the pattering rain coming down from the sky, a figure walked down a path of an alleyway his hands in his pockets it seemed like he was looking for something but that wasn't the case.
He had come to the Soul Society a year ago after getting killed by his younger brother and was sent here for some reason.
Itachi didn't know why or didn't know this place much because it is all new to him, but he was slowly learning and figuring out what goes around here he had spotted the big city that had a lot better-looking buildings which he was told it was the Seireitei, by a few souls.
One of the older souls had explained that soul reapers or shinigami, the old soul had explained to him what they did, which their job was to protect the balance of the living world which was called Kakura Town he thought it was similar to how the ninjas do.
But the difference is that instead of Chakura they had Spirit energy, he thought about going to see what it was all about but changed his mind when he was told the shinigami didn't like outsiders much.
Itachi continue to walk through the Rukon district he looked up at the sky which started to clear, he tilted his head he could have sworn he could feel something was amiss but shook it off.
With Soifon
It has been a few hours since Soifon had been training, and now she was just resting against a tree watching the rain clear up and the sun started to rise to show that it was almost morning. She shook her head a bit as she watched the sunrise til a hell butterfly flew towards her.
Extending a finger out for it to land she wondered what the head captain wanted, she watched as the hell butterfly slowly landed on her finger, and it moved its wings letting her know about the captain meetings, she listened to it for a while before letting it fly away to let the other captains know about the meeting.
Letting out a soft sigh Soifon pushed herself off of the tree she was leaning against and headed back to her division so she can get a shower she didn't want anyone to know that she was out here training even though dhe knew some could probably sense her training.
She slowly walked back to her division she didn't have to hurry because the captain meeting didn't start til about 4 more hours and she didn't care if she was late she thought about probably leaving the Seireitei for a while she did feel restless and she knew others felt it too which was very rare for her to let that be felt.
After reaching her division she heard someone call from behind her stopping in her tracks for the person to catch up to her without turning toward the person" Lady Yoruich!" she greeted in a quiet tone loud enough for the other person behind her.
" Boo, that was a boring greeting!" The dark-skinned woman said once she had caught up to the smaller woman" Sorry, is there anything you need? I got a captain's meeting in a few hours and I was going to get a shower!" Soifon said as she looked at her former mentor but not the way she always did it was a different kind of look it was a mixture of tired and frustrated looks.
But the look wasn't really for Yoruichi it was just Soifon wasn't in the mood for company right now and it seemed like the cat-woman noticed it too. Yoruichi looked at her former apprentice with concern in her golden orbs.
" Is everything okay, Littlebee?" she asked as she stepped beside the younger woman who let out a sigh fighting if she should tell Yoruichi or not, but figured it won't hurt plus she used to tell the older woman almost everything before she left but haven't been.
" Everything fine!" Soifon answered as she started walking toward her division again with the older woman following her.
" Are you sure? I know everyone is relaxing and everything now that the war is over, which you should be doing!" Yoruichi spoke gently she figured that the younger woman was getting back from training.
Giving a small shrug, Soifon thought about what her friend had said " Yes, I know, and yes I'm sure! It's just been quiet for the past few weeks!" She admitted she bit the inside of her cheek she honestly didn't know why Yoruichi was here and she wondered why she wasn't in the world of the living.
" Anyway enough about me!" Soifon began as she flicked her gray gaze to the older woman who looked at her confused.
" What are you doing here anyway? Don't you have other things to do other than come here?" Making the goddess blink for a few minutes.
" I came here to see you of course!"
" Why?"
" Unohana had called me and had me come here to see what is bothering you since you have been restless since the war!"
" So you came all the way here just to see how I am! I can take care of myself I don't need anyone checking up on me! As you can see I am just fine!" Soifon said coldly turning her cold gaze ahead of her before letting out a sigh.
" I'm sorry lady Yoruichi, please forgive me!" She replied once she saw the hurt and confused look on the dark-skinned woman's face. She looked down at the ground she didn't mean what she said she was just frustrated and tired and she did what she knew how to do.
" It's alright, Soi! You know if anything is bothering you, I'm here for you!" Yoruichi said as she walked with the small captain.
Soifon nodded as she let the other woman walk with her she still felt bad snapping at Yoruichi.
" The truth is I haven't been sleeping for the past few days!"
With Itachi
Itachi stopped at a small shop to see what he wanted since he was hungry, he knew the other souls had told him they barely got hungry unless they had a powerful spiritual pressure.
He saw an old lady who was giving out some pork buns to some kids, which made him smile a bit he didn't give much of a sweat tooth but it was something for him to eat.
He waited for the kids to get their food and then walked over to the booth" Oh, hello young man! Would you like anything to eat?" The old woman asked when she saw him approaching.
The long-haired man nodded with a solemn look on his face" Just two sweet buns please!" he answered the old woman, who nodded and went to get his order.
He looked around he was glad that the rain had gone for now he knew it wasn't over yet but it'll come back again tonight.
The smell of the sweet buns had broken him out of his thoughts" Here are your sweet buns sir, is there anything else I can get you?" the old woman asked, Itachi shook his head" No thank you!"
" You know if you get hungry like this maybe you should try to become a soul reaper, you seem to make a good one!" the old woman had suggested as he took the package that the sweet buns were in.
" No, I have no interest in becoming one!" Itachi replied in a tone that left no room for arguments, and with that he paid for his food.
He walked off after giving a small nod of thanks and headed toward the spot he always stayed at.
