Hello and welcome to another experimental fanfic of My Hero Academia, in which a new inspiration popped into my head in an unexpected way, which happened in a sudden way, and this new inspiration would be different from the ones I upload recently.

inspired fanfics that I uploaded recently.

This all started when I was surfing my smartphone a few months ago which I accidentally came across an article on Twitter, which it announced an TV anime preview of an ongoing manga, turns the said manga's title is revealed, which is titled Zom 100: Bucket List Of The Dead, and there I decided to check out the manga via Google and got the gist of the plot, which I find myself glued ok it, and just last month the anime premiered, and after watching the latest episode last week, I felt like wanting to make a fanfiction version, and there it suddenly hit me as I decided to predominantly use elements of My Hero Academia while combining the semi-plot of Zom 100.

Since this is an experimental crossover between My Hero Academia and Zom 100, I thought of how to split the characters to give them some equal exposure, so to balance it, and since the main setting would predominantly be in the MHA universe, only a select characters from Zom 100 would be used here alongside the main characters of MHA, and will see how I would mix the two plots together.

However, this fic would be slightly AU, for a certain reason, so expect some changes though it would roughly similar to its source material.

Well then, read on and enjoy!

Ch. 1: Prologue

Ten years ago…

The scene shifts at an apartment, where a five-year old boy, sporting green, curly hair and having a freckled face, is watching a live footage on his computer, where several pro heroes are seen doing heroic deeds like stopping crime and saving people. The little boy is so fixated that he aspires to become a hero himself when he grows up.

The boy is identified as Izuku Midoriya, and he appeared to be an avid fan of pro hero All-Might. As the little boy is watching in awe and admiration, his mother, Inko, smiled as she felt that her son has found inspiration, and there the little boy told his mom that he wants to become a hero like All-Might, which his mom smiled and said he would one day become one.

"Mom! Look!"

"Yes?"

"All-Might is amazing, right?"

"Yes, izuku."

"Can I become like him?"

"I'm sure you would."

"I'm going to become a hero when I grow up!"

"Yes, Izuku."

However, as fate would make itself apparent, the Midoriya family learned from a doctor that Izuku is Quirkless, and told Inko that they should just give it up, and accept the fact that Izuku is just an ordinary boy and can never become a pro hero, which Inko was in disbelief, asking the doctor how is this possible as she and her husband possess Quirks.

However, the doctor said that Izuku is one of the rare cases where he is born Quirkless and tells her that Izuku should just become an ordinary citizen, attend an ordinary school and live an ordinary life, and tells her that this is how life is, nothing more.

Izuku is heart-broken at this as he feels that his dreams will never be achieved and Inko consoled her son, seeing that he is depressed at this and apologized to her son, though all he could do is cry silently at this as he is forced to face the harsh truth and reality.

"M-mom…"

"Izuku…?"

"C-can…I…still be…a hero…?"

"Izuku…"

"…"

"Oh, Izuku! I'm sorry!"

"…"

"I'm sorry!"

In the years that passed, Midoriya's status as a Quirkless became known to his neighborhood, and neighborhood bullies uses their Quirk to torment him, mentally, and physically, to the point of badly injuring him, and as a battered and bleeding Midoriya lay on the ground, the bullies are ready to inflict more harm on the hapless boy, seeing that he could not fight back due to lacking a Quirk.

"Hah!"

"Look at that!"

"He really is Quirkless!"

"He couldn't even retaliate!"

"You're a loser!"

"You should commit suicide!"

"Yeah, you're a failure!"

"A trash!"

The bullies then began kicking Midoriya so hard that negative emotions began building up, as the bullying continues, and at one point one of the bullies began to kick their target on his BALLS, causing him to s cream out in pain, and the bullies laughed at this and tells him to scream even more, as it is music to their ears.

They kicked him there even more as they taunted him for being a geek who couldn't stand up for himself and for being an otaku whop is nothing special.

"Hah!"

"Take that!"

"And that!"

"You Quirkless brat!"

"Just stay down and die!"

"Stay at home and never come out!"

"You'll just be a punching bag!"

"And we'll be enjoying it!"

This made Izuku's childhood life unmemorable and Inko tried hard to make her son realize that all is not lost and that she is sure that something good is bound to happen and that a bright tomorrow awaits him and he shouldn't give up on life.

Inko's love for her son proved to be the factor that made Izuku hold on and persevere the challenges that came and he fought the misfortunes that tried to pull him down, and so far he is able to move past the fact that he is born Quirkless.

And as the years passed, Izuku persevered yet still suffered from discrimination due to being Quirkless, and while he still watch pro heroes doing their job in savings the day, he still kept on admiring pro heroes, especially the number one hero, All Might, as he is trending on both the live news and in social media, which catches the interest of many people within the Superhuman Society.

Now at 14 years old, Izuku Midoriya was on his last year of middle school while attending at Aldera Middle School, where he has been subjected to ridicule and discrimination due to him being Quirkless, and yet he persevere as he kept moving forward, and there one day he got embroiled in an incident where he gets to meet All Might after the latter temporarily captured the Sludge Villain, but is soon escaped.

While alone at a rooftop All Might was forced to disclose to Midoriya his current physical condition and then told the younger boy the harsh reality which is he can't be a hero due to being Quirkless.

"Sorry, shonen…"

"…"

"But because you're Quirkless, you can't be a hero."

"…"

"That's the reality you'll have to face."

"…"

"I'm sorry."

"…"

After that Midoriya dejectedly left, only to get himself embroiled again with the Sludge Villain who has captured Katsuki Bakugo and uses him as a hostage to keep the police and pro heroes at bay, and in the heat of the moment Midoriya rushes through and attempted to free Bakugo, which in turn spurs All Might, who was initially hesitating, to spring into action and defeated the Sludge Villain.

After a few hours, Midoriya was walking home as he wondered if he did the right thing in dashing forward and attempted to rescue Bakugo, and there All Might showed up, in which he told the younger boy that his actions were reckless yet it did spur him to take action, surprising the younger boy as he got complimented by the number one hero.

However, All Might still told Midoriya that he still has to face reality, in which he still can't be a hero because he was born Quirkless, thus Midoriya would have to accept it and attend a normal school, and upon graduating he would have to look for a normal job and forget the dream of becoming a pro hero since this was how the world currently works.

All Might's words were rather harsh, yet justifiable, and hearing this straight from the pro hero he admired since hebwas a toddler was a huge emotional blow, and this caused Midoriya to be emotionally crushed, which he knelt down as he was brought to tears as his dream became just that…an unreachable dream.

Several months later, Midoriya graduated from Aldera Middle School, and while the graduating students were celebrating, something was amiss here, as it appears that Midoriya was the only student who wasn't celebrating, as his parents are not there, as Hisashi Midoriya was at overseas due to being a contracted worker, and that Inko was not in attendance.

This further puts emotional stress on the younger boy as he now pondered on what to do next, as he would have to look for a high school to attend, and this further gave him more emotional stress as almost 90% of the educational institutions are Quirk-based, hence finding a Quirkless, normal school would be difficult at this time and age.

After an hour, the next scene shifts at the door of the apartment complex, where Midoriya opened the door and there he saw Inko sitting on the floor, looking like she is in despair while holding what appeared to be a paper which resembled a legal document. Izuku had a bad feeling about this and approached his mom, where she cried while apologizing to her son for missing his graduation rites as she apologized non-stop.

"Oh, Izuku…"

"Mom…?"

"I'm sorry, Izuku…I'm so sorry…"

"Mom…what…what's wrong…? What is going on…?"

"I'm really sorry…"

"Mom…?"

"Forgive me…"

"Eh…?"

As Izuku looks on, Inko cried while telling him that the entire apartment complex they are staying at has a new owner, in which he ordered all the tenants to leave as he intend to demolish it and replace it with a high-rise mall, which made Izuku stare wide-eyed in shock, as he found out that he and his mom would only have a week to look for a new place to stay.

Moreover, Inko sadly revealed that Hisashi stooped contacting her, and in effect, stooped sending money, which has happened for over the past month, and thus they have insufficient funds to look for a new apartment, and along with the fact that they have no relatives within Musutafu, Inko grimly said that they may have to move to their province, and that Izuku may have to either look for a public school or may have to find a part-time job in order to support themselves.

"Oh, Izuku…I'm really, really sorry…"

"…"

"I'm sorry, Izuku…I'm so sorry…you have been suffering all these years…"

"…"

"I'm really sorry…but you may have to skip high school for now…"

"…"

"Forgive me, Izuku…forgive me…"

"…"

Izuku gritted his teeth as the stress of his unfortunate life is starting to boil over. Finding out that he was born Quirkless is one thing, then being discouraged by the pro hero he admired all these years is another, but being abandoned by his dad and facing the possibility of getting evicted and forced to forego high school is gradually welling up and he would ultimately explode in an emotional way, as he mentally began to question himself what he has done to deserve this.

By then a knock on the door is heard, where a man in his mid-40s is standing there as the apartment door was left open, and there the man bowed as he told the Midoriya family that he happened to pass by and overheard the situation, in which he said that he might offer some assistance in addressing the Midoriya family's current circumstances.

There the man brought out his calling card and introduced himself as Saikō-keiei Sekininsha, revealing himself as the CEO of a Hero Agency office which is located in the center of Musutafu, and there he told Inko that he would like to hire Izuku as his accountant as he claimed that this would be a rather EASY JOB given that all he has to do is calculate and encode some documents and the like, even if Izuku is Quirkless.

Moreover, Sekininsha said that while he would have Izuku work for him in three years, he would earn enough money for him to resume school and that he would be able to afford renting a new apartment complex, which Inko appeared hesitant at first, but Izuku, seeing that their current financial situation would result in them being on the streets by the week's end, and with Hisashi abandoning him and Inko, Izuku reluctantly accepted even though he admitted that he has no experience with accounting yet he is quite good at math, which Sekininsha assured that he will guide him while saying that while most of the staff at the Hero Agency possess Quirks, Izuku won't be discriminated and even said that if the earnings are good, Sekininsha would contact a support item company to make a costume for Izuku that would help compensate his lack of Quirk, which slightly enticed the younger boy.

"Eh…? You mean…?"

"Yes. If things are looking good…I'll contact someone I know from a respectable support item company…see if I could get him to put some devices and weapons so as to make it appear that you have a Quirk..."

"But…you don't have to…"

"Oh, it's okay. Besides, you need to earn, right?"

"Well…"

"So don't worry about anything. Just leave it to me."

"…"

"Relax. I'll shoulder everything."

Seeing that there is no other alternative, as their current financial situation would prevent them from looking for a new apartment complex and that the money they have right now is enough to rent a moving truck to transfer their belongings to Inko's provincial address, Izuku accepted and told Inko that she would have to move back to their provincial home as he would try to earn money working for Sekininsha, and promised that after three years he would afford a new apartment complex where he and Inko can stay and that he would resume his high school studies, which a crying Inko reluctantly accepted while apologizing to her son for the 14 years of burden he had to endure.

"Oh, Izuku…"

"Mom…it's okay…"

"I'm sorry, Izuku…I'm so sorry…"

"Mom…please don't cry…it'll be okay…"

"I'm really sorry…"

"Its okay…please don't cry…"

"Forgive me…"

"Mom…"

Sekininsha just watched as Izuku and Inko exchanged an emotional moment as both cried due to the fact that they would have to live separately; Inko was very emotional, her son was revealed to be born Quirkless and endured a decade of being bullied and discriminated; her husband abandoning her and their son by cutting off communication while he remained abroad; losing their current home due to a change of apartment complex's ownership who intend to torn down the apartment in a week's time, and with their current financial burden, Izuku would forced to forgo three years from attending high school in order to work for a Good Samaritan who is willing to help the Midoriya family.

Surprisingly, Sekininsha willingly offered to shoulder the expenses in hiring and renting a moving truck, and three days later Inko left the apartment complex as she moves back to her home province while Midoriya was taken to another apartment complex that is quite near the Hero Agency that Sekininsha is heading, revealed as the Black Company Agency, where the sidekicks happened to be minor and local pro heroes.

There Sekininsha told Midoriya that from hereon, he would be handling the accounting and the such, and assured to him that he would adjust well and that after three years he would be able to resume school and graduate.

"Eh…? You mean…?"

"Yes. If things are looking good…you might earn a lot, lot more…"

"But…I think this is a bit too much…"

"Oh, it's okay. Don't worry about it. Besides, you need to earn, right?"

"Well…"

"So don't worry about anything. Just leave everything to me."

"…"

"Relax. Everything will be fine."

After Midoriya nodded, Sekininsha then introduced the younger boy to the sidekicks, who all nodded and greeted Midoriya, which the latter bowed to them and sees that the sidekicks are friendly and accommodating as they immediately treated him like a coworker even after finding out that he is born Quirkless and told him that he would fit in this hero agency just fine.

"Welcome to the Black Company Hero Agency. Here everyone here are treated as equals. And you'll fit in just fine. Right, guys?"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"
