The Plan To Get Back Together

Leo opens his eyes and sits up. He lets out a loud yawn. Growling, Leo stands up and walks over to his door to slide it open. He looks down the hall and notice Tigress's door was still closed. Leo walks up to her door and knocks on it. "Tigress?" he calls to her.

There was no answer.

"Oh, hey Leo." Crane walks up to him.

"Good morning, Crane."

"What are you doing outside of Tigress's room?"

"I wanted to know if she's in there."

"Tigress isn't here, Leo."

"Where is she then?"

"Shifu sent Tigress and Mantis to help deliver some supplies at a village. She and Mantis left early this morning." The avian answered.

"I see."

"So how come?" Crane asks him as the two heads to the kitchen.

"I was going to talk to her about what happened last month." Leo answered.

"Who are you going to talk to, Leo?" Monkey lifts his head from drinking his tea with Viper at the table.

"I'm going to talk Tigress about what happened last month." Leo repeated. "Once she gets back."

"That's good to hear." Viper smiled.

"We're glad that you'll talk to Tigress after a whole month. We were all worried, especially Tigress." Monkey said, setting his cup down.

"I know. I'm sorry about that." Leo apologized. "But, I'm not going to explain what needed my attention for a whole month. Putting that aside right now, I need to apologize to Tigress when they get back from their mission and I'm thinking it won't be easy after what happened last month."

Leo was right. He still hasn't spoken to her about the Messenger Incident. The young man knew it was his fault. And since they haven't spoken to each other in a month, Leo had to work and train a little harder by extending an extra half hour more through the regular training and meditation times away from them as he did the same thing in the library.

"Maybe, but I don't think you have nothing to worry about." Crane assures him.

Leo nodded his head.

After leaving the courtyard, Viper was slithering down to the Palace Arena. When the green snake approaches the arena, she saw Leo sparring alone and can hear some music playing from his iPhone at the bottom of the steps. She slithers up to the sidelines and continues to watch in silence.

"Ha!" Leo dives forward into a roll before swinging his hand diagonally. He quickly performs a low sweep kick, followed by a spinning hook kick, added a rising upper cut, and he swung his hand diagonally one more time before taking a knee.

As the song ended, the green snake spoke up. "Hey, Leo."

Leo looks over his shoulder and notices Viper by the sidelines with his iPhone. "Hello, Viper." He walks over to her and pause the next song quickly before it can start playing. "Is there something that you need?"

"Yes. I was wondering if you know what to say to Tigress when the two of you start discussing about last month."

Leo sighs lightly and sits down in front of her. "I'll be apologizing for what I did last month. Not only that, I either cut her off or ignored whenever there's available time from training, missions and that vacation we had when all of you were bickering."

"But you also had her worried about you."

"I know." Leo slowly nods his head once, resisting the tone of his voice to be a little sad. "And I guess she's still angry at me for last month."

"Not anymore, Leo."

"What do you mean, Viper? I almost fucking created a damn war that would've plunge China in a thousand-year war because I didn't bother to ask! Who wouldn't be angry at me for doing something like that?"

"So you were upset about it last month?"

"No, I wasn't. What's done is done. I didn't want to talk to Tigress about it in our spare time for the whole month."

"I'm glad to hear that you're not upset about it."

"Thanks."

"Tigress isn't angry at you about the messenger incident anymore. She's gotten over it two weeks ago. But Tigress does hope that you and her can talk about it and patch things up soon. The two of you care and love each other. I saw that you protected her from Fenghunag's attack in that fall and took the slam for her." Viper assures him.

"Thanks."

"By the way, do you have anything else planned besides the apology?"

"I'll take her out to dinner. It's been a while since her and I started dating."

"She'll be happy about it." Viper places her tail on his lap.

"Let's hope so." Leo said. He really hope they can patch things up soon.
