When Jaune and the others arrived in Mantle, they headed straight to the Polendina Household. The house wasn't large, but it was enough to accommodate both Penny and Pietro. Jaune knocked on the door, and Penny answered it not too long later.
"Jaune! It's good to see! Oh! I missed you so much!" Penny said.
"I missed you too, Penny," Jaune said.
"Ahem! I believe you forgot something?" Penny said. Jaune was thinking about what Penny was talking about until it hit him.
"Oh, right. I did promise that after you were able to achieve SSS on a rank," Jaune said. The promise was simple.
Jaune moved towards Penny and kissed her on the lips, but it wasn't just any kiss. It involved the tongue. When Willow and Whitley saw this, they were stunned. After all. Jaune was supposed to be Weiss' boyfriend, yet, here we are, Jaune was kissing another girl.
"Hold on a minute! Jaune, aren't you dating, Weiss? So, why are you locking lips with another girl?" Willow said.
"Right. I guess Weiss never told you that I am dating multiple women," Jaune said.
"No! No, she did not. I will be talking to her later about this," Willow said.
"Huh? I never thought that Weiss will ever share something. After all, she never liked sharing back in the day," Whitley said.
"That's different! Also, I did try to make Jaune mine, but it failed since the opposition were all in a league above me, at least they were, back when I started Beacon," Weiss said.
"Now that's the Weiss I know," Whitley said.
"So, Penny. Where is your father, Pietro?" Jaune asked.
"He's currently out. He is helping the people of Mantle with their tech issues. Since a few weeks ago, the people of Mantle haven't been having a good supply of energy. Therefore, a lot of the house's heating isn't working. And as you know, here on Mantle, heating is essential as it is always cold, well, almost always cold," Penny said.
"Well, are you ready to head back to Beacon?" Jaune asked.
"I am, but I don't want to leave until my father gets back," Penny said.
"That's fine. We'll come back later when your father gets home," Jaune said.
"Don't be silly, Jaune. You can stay here until my father gets back…. You know, while I was with my father for the past week, he told me stories about you that he heard when he looked for you," Penny said.
"Well. What kind of stories did he tell you?" Jaune asked.
"He told me stories of the Arknight," Penny said.
"The Arknight? What is that?" Weiss and Blake asked.
"It is the title that Jaune was given before he became a professor at Beacon. People from outside the Kingdom would tell stories of a knight that would appear when they needed him. He would save them from their dark hour and defeat the darkness that has befallen them. Due to the man being named Arc and wearing a knight's ensemble, they dubbed him the Arknight," Penny said.
"Whoa! Jaune, I didn't know that you did any of that," Weiss said.
"That's because it happened in areas that didn't have good reception with the CCTS. But now that I built the satellite system, those kinds of information on me will start to appear," Jaune said.
"What satellite system? I thought the idea of satellites was abandoned because Dust doesn't work past the atmosphere?" Whitley asked.
"That is true. Atlas gave up on the idea of putting a satellite in space because of Dust's limitation, but with the power source that I created, it wasn't an issue at all. You all should have realised that the signals on your scrolls have been better lately… that's because you aren't getting signals through the CCTS. You are getting it through the satellite system that I launch a few months back," Jaune said.
"So, it was you! I know it! When my father told me about the signal on his scroll being a lot better, the first thing that I thought was that you did something. I guess my assumption was right, even if I didn't have any evidence," Penny said.
"Wait, wait, wait! If you're able to launch a satellite to space, does that mean you can go space?" Whitley asked.
"That I do. Why? Are you interested in going to space?" Jaune asked.
"Since I was a lot younger! It was one of my dreams! The first being a Huntsman, and the second to someday go to space. But the thought of going to space was so farfetched that I just dropped it," Whitley said.
"If you'd like, when we get to Beacon, I can bring you to space along with the others. How would you like that?" Jaune asked.
When Jaune said those words, Whitley faced Weiss and got close to her.
"Whatever you do, don't screw up your relationship with Jaune," Whitley said while shaking her.
"I don't know if I'm the girlfriend or you are. And I don't plan to mess up my relationship with Jaune," Weiss said.
"Anyway. Why don't you all get comfortable until my father comes back? It may take him a few hours as he just left when you guys arrived," Penny said.
"You know. While we wait. Penny can tell us stories about Jaune's exploit outside the Kingdom before he entered Beacon as a professor," Blake said.
"That's a wonderful idea!" Weiss said.
"Or I can tell you the stories. I mean, I am the person in said stories. Plus, I can show you some pictures I took after the incidents. But let me warn you, not all the pictures have a happy ending," Jaune said.
"That would make a lot more sense. But are you sure that you will tell us the true story and not the exaggerated stories? I have seen people exaggerate their stories," Weiss said.
"I promise to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth," Jaune said.
"Okay, we believe you," Blake and Weiss said. Whenever Jaune makes a promise, he would fulfil it without hesitation.
Jaune then proceeded to tell them the stories of his time outside the Kingdom. Everyone was surprised that Jaune was self-trained except the people that already knew. They always thought that his father trained him. When listening to the stories that Jaune was telling, Winter gained more respect for Jaune. Whitley became even more of a fan. As for Willow, she understood why her daughter liked Jaune, but she plans to speak to Weiss later about her relationship with Jaune. As for Penny, she was enjoying being in Jaune's company. She even decided to sit on his lap. She was getting bolder and bolder with her actions.
Jaune told stories of his exploits outside the kingdom for two hours, yet not a single person in the room was tired of listening. The more Jaune told his stories, the more respect he gained from Winter and Willow and a little more affection from Winter. Whitley, he was admiring Jaune more and more. He believes that Jaune was a hero that came out of a comic book. And for Blake, Weiss and Penny, they got to hear more about Jaune, the things he went through. This made them fall in love with him once more.
"That's…wow," Blake said. "I didn't know that humans and Faunus co-exist with each other outside the Kingdom. How have I never known that?".
"For one," Jaune said. "Your ex-boyfriend prevents you from seeing such sights. Look at these videos, and you'll understand why".
Blake watched the videos of Adam bringing White-Fang members to a village that is living peacefully with both Humans and Faunus. In the Video, Blake saw Adam try and attack a young Faunus and mother. They would have died if it wasn't for Jaune. Blake was disgusted with what she saw.
"That's horrible!" Weiss shouted in disgust. "How can someone just try and kill an innocent child. What is wrong with him?!".
"Hmm? I'm quite curious," Penny said. "Boyfriend, Jaune. How are you recording all this while fighting? I don't believe that a camera person is with you".
"Oh, that's simple," Jaune said while taking out an object. "This is a drone. I used to use it when I was training outside the kingdom. It would video all the fights I had against Grimm and bandits. From there, I would use the video to see if there is anything I can do to make my movement more efficient and fluid".
"Oh! Like a diary of your improvements," Penny said. "I did see that in some of them, you seem to be less experienced. But you were still strong nonetheless".
While talking, Pietro Polendina finally arrived. Penny stood up and greeted her father at the door. Pietro was surprised to have some guests and even more surprised when he realised that the Schnee family was among them.
"Mrs Schnee," Pietro said. "Is there something I can help you with?".
"No need to be formal, Pietro," Willow said. "You're a family friend. You can call me Willow. And I'm not here for anything; Jaune brought us here to pick up Penny for the new semester of Beacon".
"I nearly forgot about that," Pietro said. "I've been bust lately. And a friend of mine was going to visit soon to get her prosthetics checked".
As soon as Pietro said those words, a knock on his door was heard. When he opens the door, we see an elderly woman with dark skin and long silver hair, which she wears in a single braid down her back. She is of small stature and appears to be hunched over. She wears a full-length dress in the traditional Tabasco style, consisting of a dark blue top with full sleeves and a skirt of alternating light and dark blue layers. But the most prominent thing about her is the prosthetics on her eyes. This was Maria Calavera, aka the Grimm Reaper.
"Uh…Can I help you with anything?" Pietro said. "Have we met before?".
"Cybernetic Optical Implant," Maria said. "You adjust them every ten years or so".
"Maria!" Pietro said with glee. "Yes, with the Cybernetic Implants. Oh-ho, wow. Has it been that long?".
"Hey, Penny?" Weiss called out. "Is your father going to be okay adjusting a cybernetic optical implant? He seems to be quite forgetful. I don't know if he should be operating machines that adjust such delicate equipment".
"Oh, there is nothing to worry about, friend Weiss," Penny assured Weiss. "My father knows what he is doing. He has done it more times than I can count. Maria should be in good hands".
As soon as Penny said those words, everyone heard Pietro in the other room where he brought Maria to check her prosthetics. Apparently, the equipment that he needs to do the checks are not functional. Meaning, Maria's implant won't be adjusted until he gets a replacement, which he was to get up in Atlas.
"I'm sorry, Maria," Pietro said apologetically. "It seems like the equipment necessary to make the adjustments aren't available. I'll need to get a replacement back in Atlas".
"Oh, that's alright," Maria said. "I've waited for weeks to get my implants adjusted. I can wait a few more days".
"If you would like," Jaune said. "I can help you with it".
"Oh, yes," Pietro said. "Maria, this here is Jaune Arc. He is one of the most brilliant people that I know. If not the most brilliant. If he says that he can help you with the implants, then it would be true".
"Hmm," Maria said. "If Pietro is vouching for you, then I don't mind if you were the one to help me".
"This shouldn't take long," Jaune said. He then took out a device from his storage and started inspecting the implants. The device would make a sound every time he clicked on it. "Hmm…the issue doesn't seem to be serious, but it was enough to cause the mechanism to be triggered when not needed…There you go, all done. How is it?".
"Oh, my," Maria said. "The transition between being opened and close is much better than when I first got it. Its response is more fluidly than before. Thank you, young man".
"Woah!" Whitley said. "What was that?! And how did that help when all it did was make buzzing noise?".
"Ha-ha! This is a sonic screwdriver," Jaune said. "It is one of my favourite tools".
"A sonic screwdriver?" Pietro asked. "What can it do? I've never seen a tech like that before. After all, who looks at a screwdriver and thinks, 'Ooh, this could be a little more sonic'?".
"It is quite a versatile tool," Jaune said. 'For example, I can unlock doors without needing any keys for it. Or I can hack into a computer with it. Such is the versatility of the sonic screwdriver. And it's also the reason why I don't sell it in any of my stores".
"Fascinating," Pietro said. "I never would have thought to make such a tool".
After a while, Penny was ready to say goodbye to her father. Then everyone headed to the bullhead port. Jaune then decided to store the Quinjet in his storage. Weiss, Blake, and Penny were confused as to why he would do that, but they saw Jaune take out a different airship the next second. This was the Milano. The ship of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
"Uhm? Jaune?" Blake said. "How many airships do you have?".
"Quite a few," Jaune replied. "This one is the Milano. Since Whitley wanted to head to space, I thought why not now? So, I took out the Milano, a ship that can traverse space".
"Are you saying that we're heading to space now?" Whitley said with a gulp. "This is a dream come true! I thought I'd have to wait a while to see space after you promised. I didn't think I would get to see space this soon! Okay… I'm ready".
Everyone was chuckling at Weiss' brother; this included his family. Weiss and her family never thought that the boy who greatly resembled Jacques was nothing like him. They were happy Whitley was nothing like his father.
"Well, since you're ready," Jaune said. "Hop on in. Space awaits".
When they got in, Jaune started doing checks to make sure that everything was operational. Any damages? None. Oxygen? Check. Safety measures? Check. All systems online? Check. Jaune then flew the Milan straight past the atmosphere. Everyone's heart was pounding. They knew that Jaune wouldn't let any harm befall them, but this was space they were talking about. It's never been done before, hence the nervousness.
As soon as they passed the atmosphere, everyone was relieved as all the systems were still functioning. Meaning, whatever Jaune's power source was, it was fully functional. But none of them was brave enough to open their eyes yet.
"You guys should open your eyes," Jaune said. "There is quite a view outside".
When everyone opened their eyes, they saw the planet Remnant. It was beautiful. But it was more so when the sun behind it rose. The shine of the sun made Remnant even more breathtaking. They couldn't help but be mesmerised by its beauty. This was a scene they would never forget.
Once Jaune and the others finished their viewing of Remnant from space, they headed straight for Beacon, since Jaune had others to pick up, such as Ruby, Yang, Neo, Pyrrha, Ren and Nora. When they arrived at Beacon, Jaune saw Ruby with Yang and their family. It seems they couldn't wait for the start of the new semester.
"Hey, girls," Jaune greeted Yang and Ruby. "Summer, Tai, Qrow. What brings you all here?".
"We wanted to see Ruby and Yang start their semester since Summer didn't get the chance," Tai said. "That's why we'll be staying until then. I hope you don't mind".
"That's not a problem," Jaune said. "In fact, the Schnee's would be staying with us as well. It seems little Whitley is interested in a Huntsman career. And he wanted to see some of the things that I've invented".
"Why?" Qrow asked. "Did you make something outrageous again? Please tell me it's not capable of breaking the laws of physics…Even if we are in a world that breaks the laws of physics".
"What? I've created no such thing…." Jaune said while second-guessing himself. "Okay, maybe I made a few things that have broken or doesn't follow the laws of physics. But at least it isn't destroying the world, right?".
"That's true," Qrow said. "But I still worry for the future of Remnant when you're the one in the helm. You don't seem to have the people's common sense, and that's scary since you might do something crazy".
"Coming from you, Qrow?" Jaune said. "That's not a good thing. Okay, maybe I should dial down a bit, but in my defence, everything I do is to make Remnant a better place".
"I know, kid," Qrow said. "But why don't you take a vacation occasionally and let the world calm down from your craziness. And when everything is calm, that's when you hit them with something even crazier. By then, they would have enough rest to be able to process your craziness and accept it".
"I guess you're right," Jaune said. "I mean with the plans that I'm planning to do; a little rest wouldn't hurt. I might even head over to another world to relax".
"See, that's good," Qrow said. "By the way, I also have an announcement to make".
All eyes were on Qrow. It's rare for Qrow to make any form of announcement. Summer and Tai were both surprised as well. They've been with Qrow since the break, and they didn't know what the announcement was about.
"As you all know," Qrow said. "I've avoided staying in proximity with the people I care about for long periods due to my semblance. But ever since Jaune gave me a ring to reel in my semblance, I thought it was time for me to look for someone I can share my life with".
"Qrow? Are you saying what I'm thinking?" Summer asked, and Qrow nodded at her. "Who is it?"
"Jaune knows her well," Qrow said. "It's Amber".
"Let me guess," Jaune said. "You weren't the one that asked her out".
"Yup!" Qrow said admittedly. "She asked me out a few months ago when she got better. Since I could finally control my semblance, I thought that I could finally be with someone without hurting them. One thing led to another, and Amber and I are planning to tie the knot by next year".
"I believe congratulations are in order," Jaune said. "You deserve a good life, Qrow. You've done so much for Remnant. It's about time you find someone that cares about you".
"Thanks, kid," Qrow said.
The following morning, Jaune was giving the Schnee family a tour of the base. Jaune was chuckling at the face of Whitley and Willow when they saw how big the place really was. The thing running in their mind was that Winter wasn't exaggerating how amazing the place was. But that wasn't the biggest surprise. The fact that Jaune had a simulator that could replicate the whole City of Vale in the base was astonishing.
"This place is amazing!" Willow said. "I've lived in Schnee Manor for a long time, but when I married Jacques and lost my father, it felt less like a home with how big it felt. This place, it's so much bigger than the Schnee Manor, but I can a sense of warmth. It feels more like a home than it is a base".
"It doesn't matter how big or small a house is," Jaune said. "A home is a place that you share with people you love. Without love, a house would be nothing more than an enclosure for you to live in, nothing more".
Willow understood what Jaune said. Even when it was just her and her father, the Schnee Manor would feel warm and safe. When he died, that warmth and the feeling of safety disappeared, and Jacques just made everything worse. But she knew she didn't make it any better for her children. This made Willow determined to make a home for her family, not just a house to live in. When she looked at Jaune while he was talking with Whitley, she felt her cheeks heat up. Something about the young man before her made her feel warmth in her chest.
"So, Whitley," Jaune said. "Want to use the simulator to see a real-life replica of some of the fiercest Grimm that I've fought?".
"Can I?!" Whitley asked excitedly. "I've never even seen a Beowolf before, but I get to see some of the ones you fought. That's so cool! Can I see the crazy one that you called an Ancient Grimm?".
"Ah! You're talking about the one I called a Berserker," Jaune said. "No problem. But be prepared. The Berserker isn't for the faint of heart".
Jaune was happy to see Whitley act his age rather than the way he acted in the show. Unbeknownst to Jaune, Willow was watching him closely. When Willow looked at Jaune and Whitley, she felt like the two were father and son having a nice bonding time. Willow then shook her head. She didn't want to think like that since Jaune was the same age as her daughter. Willow just wished that he was older, then maybe she would have a shot at being in his Harem. It's too bad that she didn't know that Jaune didn't care about age. Willow sighed deeply. Jaune heard it.
"Willow, are you okay?" Jaune asked. "Is there anything wrong? I heard you make quite a sigh".
"Ahem!" Willow cleared her throat. "No, nothing is wrong".
"Well then. Should we continue the tour?" Jaune asked. "Whitley is excited to see the rest of the base. Then after that, we can relax in the indoor pool".
"That sounds wonderful," Willow said before realising something. "But I don't have any swimwear".
"That's not a problem," Jaune said with a smile. "We can head to Vale and shop around. I heard from Weiss that you haven't left the Schnee Manor in a long time. It's about time you had some fun with your family".
Willow just blushed at Jaune. When Jaune said those words, it felt like Jaune was her boyfriend rather than Weiss'. It made her heart skip a beat. And his smile. Oum! Seeing his smile made her happy. But then reality hit her. Jaune was Weiss' boyfriend, not hers. However, she was determined to have a nice family outing with her children, plus Jaune.
As Jaune said, he brought Willow and the others with him to go shopping in Vale. Jaune wanted Ruby and Yang to come with, but the sisters thought that it was better that Jaune was the only one that went to Vale with Weiss' family. Jaune understood, and he left for Vale with Willow, Winter, Weiss and Whitley. Since Whitley was sheltered, there were many things that he didn't know about, such as arcades and clubs. Whenever Whitley had a question, Jaune would gladly answer.
Once again, Willow was watching Jaune's interaction with Whitley, and all she could see was Whitley smiling and having a great time, something she's never seen in the Schnee Manor. Finally, after a long time, she saw her family with smiles on their faces, not the cold look they used to have. Willow was looking at Jaune with a bitter smile. She hoped that Jaune was the type of person that she fell in love with, not someone like Jacques.
For the next four hours, Weiss enjoyed shopping with her family and Jaune. When Weiss could, she would ask for his opinion on the clothes she would pick, but she would also see her sister Winter and her mother Willow do the same thing. If this was the old Weiss Schnee, she would have made a scene, but looking at her mother and sister having fun, she let it go.
"So, Jaune," Weiss said. "What do you think? Which one should I take?".
"Hmm…" Jaune was thinking. "The blue one-piece looks nice, but I think the white two-piece bikini looks better".
"Thank you," Weiss said. "I agree with that. How about for Winter and my mother? Which one did you think suited them better?"
"For Winter, I go with the light blue backless one-piece," Jaune said. "And for Willow, I think she looks sexy in the black two-piece bikini".
"Not bad," Weiss said. "So, Jaune. Are you checking out my mother as well as my sister?".
"What…" Jaune said nervously. "I don't know what you're talking about".
"Really?" Weiss said teasingly. "But I saw you earlier looking at my mother's ass. And then you looked at my sister's legs".
"Okay," Jaune said. "I admit that I was, but that's only because they were asking for my opinion. How can I give my honest opinion if I don't check them out?"
"Sure," Weiss said. "Keep telling yourself that. You know, I've never seen my mother and sister smile before. Well, Winter would occasionally, but my mother? Not once have I seen her smile. Now, whenever you're nearby, I would see and her smiling and giggling".
"Okay…" Jaune said, confused. "What are you telling me, Weiss?"
"I'm just saying," Weiss said. "If you being with them makes them happy, then I don't mind. I can even see it in your eyes that you find them attractive".
"I admit," Jaune said. "I do, in fact, find them attractive, but I don't think your mother will see me in that way".
"On the contrary," Weiss said. "I don't think that's true. Earlier, I saw her looking at you when you were with my brother Whitley. In her eyes, I can see happiness and desire. Happiness due to our family now acting like a family. And desire because she desires to be with someone that cares for her".
"Okay," Jaune said. "But why do you think it's me?".
"Simple," Weiss said. "After Jacques was arrested, my mother tried to move on with her life. Find someone that would care for her as she cares for them. Mother met plenty of people, some are even good people, but none of them interested her since the moment they saw Whitley with her, they pretended to be nice, but mother could see past their act. You're the only one that my mother has met that isn't pretending to be nice towards Whitley but actually enjoying their time".
"Uh-huh…" Jaune said. He was about to say something, but Weiss interrupted him.
"Before you say anything," Weiss said. "I just want you to think it over first. Try and interact with my mother more. If you don't feel like anything can happen between you two, then I would understand. I'll also try and speak with my mother and tell her how I feel about this".
"What about the other girls," Jaune asked. "What would they think?".
"You don't have to worry about them," Weiss said. "You can leave them to me. I'll find a way to convince them".
After Weiss said those words, Jaune sighed. What the two didn't realise was that someone was listening to them. It was a white-haired beauty. This person smiled and went elsewhere in the shop to continue looking for something she could use to show off her figure.
Jaune and the others continued shopping for another hour before they were famished. The group headed to the food court, but Jaune told them they didn't have to order anything since he brought food for everyone. Weiss and Winter were excited, which confused Whitley and Willow since they've eaten food made by some of the most renowned chefs in the world.
"Mother," Winter said. "I know what you're thinking. But trust me, Jaune's food is to die for. Nothing can compare to his cooking. Not even those so-called celebrity chefs".
"Interesting," Willow said. "I don't remember the last time you've complimented anyone's cooking before".
"Once you've tasted Jaune's cooking," Winter said. "You'll understand".
Jaune was smiling at Weiss and Winter. He then took out a Roast Pork glazed in honey, Queen's Apple Pie, Hot Pot, and a Chocolate Covered Checkerboard Cake. The fragrance of the Roast Pork and Hot Pot spread throughout the food court. The people around started to get hungry from smelling Jaune's food. Their stomach was grumbling loud enough for it to reverberate in the food court.
When Willow tasted Jaune's food for the first time, she was in heaven. Her body was shivering in ecstasy. She didn't even care how unrefined the way she was eating. The same can be said for Whitley. Weiss and Winter were smirking at their mother and brother. It was the same thing that happened to them when they first tasted Jaune's food.
"So, mother?" Weiss said. "What did you think of the food?"
"It was delicious!" Willow said. But that word did not sit right with her. "No! not delicious. It was divine! Where did you learn to cook like this? The chefs that Jacques hired come nowhere near your level".
"I was self-taught," Jaune answered. "Having seven sisters' kind of forces you to learn such skills".
After having lunch, they continued having a good time, but this time, Winter suggested having some girl time, meaning Jaune and Whitley would be doing their own thing while the girls do theirs. Jaune and Whitley didn't mind it at all. They decided to have some fun in the arcade.
As for the girls, they went to a lingerie shop. Weiss was thinking of buying a special one for when she and Jaune go on their date. She wants to show Jaune how much she loves him and what's better than giving him her first time. Although, while she was looking around, she saw Winter looking at some rather risqué lingerie as well.
"Say, Winter," Weiss said. "Can I ask if you have found someone special that you're willing to wear such a risqué clothing?".
"About that," Winter said while blushing. "I heard you speaking to Jaune earlier. I heard everything you said".
"Ooooooh!" Weiss said. "You know, I just had a hunch. But seeing you blush, your interest in Jaune wasn't something new".
"I-I…" Winter stuttered. "I may have had an interest in him since we met during the Vytal Festival".
"Seriously!" Weiss said. "That's surprising. When you met him, you acted like a… what's the word".
"A bitch," Winter said. "Especially after I found out that he was dating multiple women".
"Yeah, that," Weiss said. "What changed".
"It was seeing the way he showed his love for the people around him," Winter said. "It was then, for some reason, I started fantasising about him. At first, that's all I thought it was, but the longer I interacted with him, the more I wanted someone like him, except for the womanising part".
Weiss and Winter continued talking about Jaune. Even Willow suddenly started taking part in their conversation. At the end of it, Weiss was smirking while Willow and Winter were blushing. Suffice to say, Weiss was up to something. Jaune wouldn't know what hit him.
After shopping in Vale, Jaune dropped off Weiss and her family back at Beacon, and he had to head out since he needed to bring Ren, Nora and Pyrrha back to Beacon from Argus. Thankfully, this time Ahri didn't mind going through a portal instead of the Quinjet or the Milano.
When Jaune got to Argus, he headed to Pyrrha's childhood home. When he got there, he knocked on the door. Dahlia opened it, and she was happy to see Jaune again.
"Jaune," Dahlia said. "It's lovely to see you again. Come in, I know that you're here for Pyrrha and the others. They told me that Beacon will start soon, meaning you would arrive soon".
"It's good to see you too, Dahlia," Jaune said. "I hope that it wasn't too much for Ren and Nora to stay for quite a while".
"Not at all," Dahlia said. "They were quite lovely. Especially Nora. It's been a long time since this house has been quite lively".
"Well. Dahlia," Jaune said. "If you like, we are having a pool day in the base at Beacon. You can come with us and have fun".
"Hmm…That sounds lovely," Dahlia said. "Are you sure that I can come with you?".
"No problem," Jaune said. "The family of a Weiss is there as well, so I don't see a reason why you can't come".
"Alright then," Dahlia said. "I'll go and get my swimwear. Oh, Pyrrha and your friends are at the back of the house. They're having tea".
"I'll go and speak to them right away since I would like everyone to have fun before we start the next semester," Jaune said. "They'll have to prepare their swimwear".
"By the way, Jaune," Dahlia said while looking at Ahri. "Who's the little girl?".
"This is my daughter, Ahri," Jaune said. He then looked at Ahri. "Come on and introduce yourself".
"H-Hello," Ahri said. "M-My name is Ahri Arc".
"Oh, my," Dahlia said. "You are quite adorable".
Dahlia then pinched Ahri's cheeks. Thankfully, she didn't touch Ahri for long because Ahri looked like she was ready to bite. Dahlia went to her bedroom, while Jaune went to the back of the house to meet with Ren, Nora, and Pyrrha.
"Hey, guys!" Jaune said. "How have you been?".
"Jaune!" Nora said. She then ran towards Jaune and gave him a bone-crushing hug. However, it wasn't enough to actually hurt Jaune. "There is something we want to tell you and the others later".
"Alright," Jaune said. "By the way, back at Beacon, we are planning to have a pool day. Do you guys have any swimwear?".
"We do," Ren said. "Nora said she wanted to go to the public, but when we got there three days ago, it was closed for maintenance".
"Stupid pool," Nora said with a huff. "At least I get to have a pool day at Beacon!".
"Calm down, Nora," Pyrrha said. "Come on, we need to pack all our clothes".
"What are you talking about, Pyrrha?" Nora said. "Ren and I never unpacked. We left our clothes in the storage of the nanite-suit".
"That means I'm the only one that needs to pack," Pyrrha said with a sad tone.
"It's okay, Pyrrha," Jaune said. "If you like, I can help you pack?".
"Thank you, Jaune," Pyrrha said cheerfully. "Follow me. My bedroom is this way".
Jaune and Pyrrha then left. Ren and Nora looked at each other.
"You know," Nora said. "If I didn't know better, Pyrrha looked like she just wanted to be alone with Fearless Leader".
"I know, Nora," Ren said. "Sometimes, I think that Pyrrha can be quite cunning. But, we also know that Pyrrha never planned this outcome".
"The weird thing is," Nora said. "I thought Pyrrha would be embarrassed with Jaune helping her with her lingerie".
"You're right," Ren said. It was then they heard Pyrrha scream. "Never mind, we got it right".
After everyone got their belongings ready, Jaune opened a portal to Beacon. Jaune asked Ren and the others to show Dahlia around since he still needed to pick up Neo. Koneko, on the other hand, would be another day since she was in another world.
Jaune went into the office of Torchwick and saw Neo messing with him.
"Neo, Roman," Jaune said. "It's good to see you".
"Hey, kid," Roman said. "How the hell is this company getting its material and other things. They aren't being listed in the finances".
"Don't worry about that. Anyway, Neo, are you ready to head back to Beacon?" Jaune asked. Neo nodded her head. "Hey, Roman. We're having a pool day at Beacon. Do you want to come with us?".
"Sorry, kid," Roman said. "I'm not the swimming kind of guy".
"Alright then," Jaune said. "Come on, Neo. We need to go and get you some swimwear".
"I already have one," Neo said. "It's already at Beacon. It was something I didn't get to wear".
"That's good," Jaune said. "Come on then".
Jaune then made a portal and brought Neo back to Beacon.
An hour later, the pool inside the base was filled with people. The entire Arc family was there, the Rose-Xiao Long family, and many more.
The pool area was massive since it was meant to train Huntsman or Huntresses for aquatic battles. But Jaune saw no reason not to use it for some fun. He even activated the pool part protocol on it, creating water park slides that are fun and thrilling.
