A/N: Please read and review?
This is a long chapter due to all the action.
Mary Jane clutched her body as she walked down the street in the rain, feeling the sharp pains in her body.
"What's...happening...to me?" she moaned.
She fell to her knees and closed her eyes, as her clothes began to rip and tear up. She then spread her arms out, as four extra ones came out of her, before she put them all on her chest.
"AHHH!" she screamed.
More of her clothes ripped open, turning her pants into cut-off shorts, while her shoes and socks fell to pieces, leaving her bare-footed. Her whole body soon began to change color, as she was slowly mutating.
"NOOO!" she screamed.
All her arms and her legs turned into spider's legs, then her face grew more eyes, before she fully transformed into a Man-Spider, which was what the Jackal's plan was.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man was swinging off towards his home, seeing a few people web-swinging nearby who waved at him.
"Yo, Spidey!" a man called.
"My hero!" a woman said happily.
Spider-Man smiled under his mask, before he landed on a rooftop near his house. He stood up and looked at it, before he saw the lights on in the Watson House were just in the sitting room.
"Huh?" he thought.
He took out his phone, and saw it was only 9:30pm.
"MJ must still be out." he thought. "Her curfew's the same as mine after all. I'll check in with her tomorrow."
He jumped off the rooftop and gilded towards his own house, landing right beside it, before he ran towards the back to change. Once back in his normal clothes, he walked towards the front door and opened it.
"Aunt May, I'm home." he said.
Aunt May came out of the kitchen and approached him.
"Oh, Peter." she said.
She hugged her nephew happily before pulling away.
"I'm glad you're back." she said.
"Because of what's happening?" Peter asked. "About most of the city suddenly getting spider powers?"
"Yes." Aunt May sighed. "Anna told me Mary Jane's among those who has it."
"That's true." Peter assured. "Most of the school's got it. Apart from myself, Gwen, Miles, Harry and a few others that is."
"Well, only of a few of the staff at FEAST have it, but that doesn't include me." Aunt May said. "I just hope there's not more to this. For all we know, they could be a side-effect to what's happened."
"Gwen and I think the same thing." Peter assured. "We'll just have to wait and see."
Aunt May smiled before she turned and walked into the kitchen, but then stopped and turned around in the doorway.
"Since you're back, shouldn't you have some homework to do, young man?" she asked.
"No. I didn't get any today." Peter assured, which was the truth.
"Oh, right." Aunt May said. "Well, since it's nearly curfew, you might as well get washed and ready for bed." Aunt May said.
"I will." Peter said.
He turned around and walked up the stairs, thinking hard about what had happened today, for while he was glad people with spider powers had helped him and the other Web-Warriors out, he still had a feeling there was something more to this.
The next morning, Peter woke up in his bedroom as his alarm went off, which read 7am, before he turned it off and got out of bed.
"Well, after yesterday, I wonder what's happening today in the city?" he thought happily. "I'll soon find out how it is in school when I get there."
He took off his shirt as he left the bedroom to get washed and dressed, ready to start the day. Once dressed, he walked down the stairs, but saw Aunt May watching the News on TV.
"Morning, Aunt May." he said. "Is breakfast ready?"
"Yes, but...I think school might be cancelled today." Aunt May sighed. "Have a look at the News?"
Peter looked up at the TV, which was one of Jameson's News broadcasts.
"I... I never thought I'd say it, but for once, the Web-Warriors have nothing to do with the recent crisis the city's now going through." he said honestly.
Peter looked confused, making him fold his arms.
"Starting from last night, a number of the people infected by this Spider Virus has mutated into monstrous spiders." Jameson explained. "Here's footage of what happened to one of my reporters."
A recording of Ned Leeds began to play, who stood in the city during the rainstorm, clutching his chest.
"AHH!" he moaned.
He fell to his knees as his clothes began to rip slightly, before four extra arms came out of his body.
Peter gasped, lowering his arms as his mouth fell open.
"How horrible." Aunt May gasped.
Ned turned around as his head turned into a spider's, transforming him completely into a Man-Spider.
"Ned?!" the cameraman gasped.
Ned growled and spat venom from his mouth, making the cameraman turn and run off with the camera.
"AHH!" he screamed.
Jameson came back onto the screen, sighing.
"And it's not just him, a lot of people infected have had that happened to them as well, as I've had people phone it in all morning." he explained. "There's a big chance that by sundown or the next morning, or even later, everyone infected with become like Mr. Leeds. So I highly recommend that everyone not infected report anyone who is to the Police, so they can handle this mess. I also hope that someone out there is able to make a cure for this matter."
Aunt May turned the TV off and got up from the couch.
"This is horrible. Quite a few people at FEAST had it, not me or Rio of course, but still..." she sighed. "What about at school? Didn't you say that many people have it, Peter?"
"Yeah, I did, including... Including MJ." Peter gasped. "Apart from me, only Gwen, Miles, Harry, Randy, Sally and a few others, including only one teacher, everyone I know personally at Midtown had it."
"Oh, my gosh!" Aunt May gasped. "I'm gonna check in with Anna; see if Mary Jane came home last night. You do the same with your friends."
"I will, Aunt May." Peter promised.
He turned around and ran back upstairs towards his room, closing the door behind him as he did.
"That settles it." he thought. "This was Jackal's plan; creating this Spider Island to kill me and then to turn Gwen into something like him. He really has gone mad."
He reached under his bed and took out his suit, before he held it up.
"If the Web-Warriors are gonna stop this though, we'll need all the help we can get. And I think I know the best place for us all to meet." he thought.
He took out his phone and dialled Johnny's number, before putting it to his ear.
"If Reed and Sue have mutated, their place is the best to meet up, as I doubt Johnny or Ben can ride the Fantastic-Car." he thought.
Later, at the Baxter Building, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm were standing together in the hangar, Johnny with his arms folded. They were both waiting for the other heroes who hadn't been infected by the Spider Virus, as Reed and Susan Richards had both mutated and were loose in the city.
"Where are they?" he grumbled.
"Give them time, kid?" Ben advised. "You know they'll be here."
"I know." Johnny sighed. "I still can't believe what's happened to Reed and Sue."
"Tell me about it, kid." Ben agreed. "Hopefully Spidey can clear everything up when he and the others get here."
"I hope so." Johnny sighed.
A beeping noise got their attention, making them turn to a scanner, which showed blips heading towards them.
"HERBIE, open the door." Ben instructed.
"Roger, Mr. Grimm." HERBIE said, who was in another room.
The Hangar door opened up, then both men saw one of the Blackbird's and the Quinjet coming in, followed by the three Web-Warriors, who swung into through it. They landed on their feet as the jets both landed close together, before Johnny and Ben approached them.
"Yo, yo, yo, Pete, Gwen." Johnny said. "Good to see ya."
"You two, Johnny." Ghost Spider said, as he high-fived them both. "This is Shadow-Spider."
Johnny held out his hand, which Shadow-Spider shook.
"Nice to meet you." Johnny said, shaking his hand.
"Yeah." Ben said.
"Same here." Shadow-Spider said, shaking Ben's rocky hand.
The Quinjet and Blackbird's doors opened up, then Bruce Banner, Capt. Marvel, Spider-Woman and Thor stepped out of the Quinjet, as Wolverine, Rogue, Bobby, Kitty and Firestar all stepped out of the Blackbird. All the heroes slowly approached Ben and Johnny, Firestar looking around the building, before they all stood together as the hanger door closed.
"Right, we're all here." Capt. Marvel said. "Jess told us it was big, Spider-Man, and after seeing the News, I can understand."
"Same here." Thor sighed. "What has happened to the others is...monstrous. Even brother Loki would never dare do something like this, as far as I know that is."
"So, what's going on, Spider-Man?" Wolverine asked. "When you called Drake you told us all to come, those who hadn't mutated anyway, it sounded important."
Everyone turned to him and the other Web-Warriors.
"Look, I think we all take our masks off." Spider-Woman said. "This place is secure, right Mr. Grimm?"
"Yes, it is." Ben assured. "When Reed and Sue left, it was from their quarters, which is a few floors below us."
"Right." Spider-Man said. "Let's do it."
The Web-Warriors all took off their masks, followed by Wolverine and Capt. Marvel, then Firestar reached for hers, but looked nervous and reluctant.
"You can trust them, Angelica." Kitty assured quietly.
Firestar sighed and took off her eye mask, showing everyone her face, making Miles lean towards Peter and Gwen.
"You weren't kidding when you said she looked like MJ." he whispered.
"We told you." Gwen whispered, teasingly.
Johnny looked at Angelica in shock though, as his mouth was open, before he moved over to Bobby.
"Just who is this?" he asked quietly.
"Our newest member." Bobby replied. "The one I told you about; who has powers similar to you."
"Oh..." Johnny said, turning to Angelica, making him whistle. "You didn't tell me she was hot, and not literally."
Bobby elbowed his chest in annoyance.
"Now's not the time, hothead." he said.
"Okay." Johnny muttered. "So, why'd you want us all here?"
"We need to stop this mess and turn everyone back to normal." Peter explained.
"On that, we can all agree on, Man of Spiders." Thor said. "Those people can't stay like that forever."
"Who th' hell would do somethin' lahke this?" Rogue asked.
"This is the Jackal's work." Gwen deduced. "He was the one who released the mist that happened before this mess began."
"The Jackal?" Bobby inquired, confused.
All but the Web-Warriors were confused turned to them, looking at the four of them curiously.
"You guys ever hear about how I wound up in the hospital for being attacked as Peter Parker instead of Spider-Man?" Peter asked.
All but the Web-Warriors and Bruce nodded, as Tony, Reed, Beast and Bruce himself had told them all - Hank Pym had been too busy to tell the other Avengers.
"He did that t' ya, an' tried t' turn Gwen intah somethin' lahke 'im t' be his lovah?" Rogue recalled, folding her arms.
"Yes." Gwen sighed. "It was so horrible, I..."
She closed her eyes, unable to explain to situation to them all, as Peter wrapped his arm around her.
"He's that obsessed with her, that he created those mutations we've been battling for the past two months." Miles explained.
"Beast told us about that." Logan said. "Even he's disgusted by it. I may be a Mutant, but no one should be turned into a monstrous creature against their will."
"Yeah." Kitty agreed. "It's not like the X-Gene at all."
"And now everyone else we care about, along with most of the city has mutated into Man-Spiders." Peter sighed. "Including my next door-neighbor."
"Mary Jane?" Angelica gasped, covering her mouth.
Everyone turned to her.
"Peter, are you sure?" she asked.
"She never returned home last night, and I was one of the last to see her before I went home." Peter explained.
Bobby and Kitty moved closer to Angelica and touched her shoulders.
"She's the girl who looks like you, isn't she?" Bobby asked.
Angelica nodded.
"Pity there's only 14 of us." Bruce sighed. "T'Challa can't leave Wakanda right now, and Rhodey's suffered the same fate as Tony."
"T'Challa's the Black Panther, isn't it?" Peter inquired.
"Yes." Bruce nodded.
"15 actually, Bruce." came a woman's voice.
Everyone turned and saw Jennifer Walters coming towards them all, making Bruce run over to her. She was wearing the same outfit Peter and Gwen had seen in a picture of her when they turned down the offer to become full-time Avengers.
"Jen, what are you doing here?" Bruce asked.
"I came over to help, cousin." Jen said.
Peter and Gwen's eyes widened as they turned to each other.
"That's She-Hulk?" Gwen muttered.
"Whoa. She looks a lot different in person." Peter whispered.
"Touché." Gwen agreed quietly.
Bruce and Jen approached the other heroes, Logan gasping slightly.
"Hey, I know you." he said. "I saw you on the News. You're Jennifer Walters?"
"I am." Jen answered. "I'm glad to meet some of my cousin's none Avenging hero friends, especially those who've had to suffer at Bolivar Trask's hands, which I helped put away."
"You're the woman who put Trask behind bars?" Bobby inquired. "We saw you on the News."
"Yes." Jen nodded.
"Wow. Didn't recognize ya." Bobby said.
"None of us did." Logan said.
"But...how can you help?" Kitty asked.
Jen grinned, before her body changed completely green like the Hulk, including green hair, but she was less muscular than the Hulk was, shocking all but the Avengers in the room.
"Whoa!" Ben gasped. "She's like you."
"Guess us Storm's aren't the only ones who have powers in the same family." Johnny joked.
"Anyway, Jen, how'd you get here?" Bruce asked. "And what are you doing here?"
"I was in the city to visit you, but when I heard about this mutating spider people mess, I had to check-in." Jen explained, turning back to normal. "I tracked you via your phone."
"Cleaver." Bruce said. "Glad to have you here."
"Yeah." Carol agreed. "We could use the extra help."
"So, how exactly has everyone mutated?" Jen asked.
"The virus has slowly mutated their DNA, turning them into the Man-Spiders they are now." Gwen deduced.
"Well, how come not everyone has been infected then?" Jen asked.
"Yeah, how come we weren't infected and gained Spider Powers like everyone else?" Kitty questioned.
"Well, for us Spiders, it's obvious, our spider blood must've made us immune." Peter began.
"He's got a point." Carol admitted. "That would explain why you four haven't mutated like everyone else with spider powers recently."
"But still, whut 'bout th' rest o' us?" Rogue asked. "How come we weren't infected with th' virus lahke everyone else?"
"Well, we know it can't be the X-Gene." Bobby deduced. "Otherwise none us X-Men would've got it."
"Well, I have a theory." Peter said. "There's a chance everyone here was not infected for a reason."
"Wait, I think I get it." Bruce said. "Since Jen and I have radiation in our blood, it kept us immune like how your Spider blood made you four immune."
"Yeah." Jessica said, seeing Peter's point. "Everyone here must been immune somehow."
"My body." Ben realized. "Since I'm made of rocks, it didn't enter my bloodstream. Ha, never thought I'd be glad to be like this."
"I was flying through the sky when the mist was released." Johnny recalled. "I must've been out of the blast radius."
"And Bobby, Angelica and I were all at the X-Mansion." Kitty recalled. "We must've been out of range too."
"My healing factor." Logan grunted. "It must've cured me from it."
"And I'm not a mere mortal like you lot - no offence." Thor realized. "I guess it wouldn't work on me."
Rogue and Carol both looked at each other.
"That only leaves us." Carol said.
"Somethin' from yer powers must've shielded ya, an' since ah have a copy o' yer powers, it worked f' me too." Rogue deduced. "Ah mean, ah was out with Remy when it spread an' he got it, but ah didn'. There's no othah explanation."
"Well, this explains why we weren't infected like everyone else." Gwen realized.
"And our friends who weren't infected, they must've been out of the blast radius as well." Miles deduced, remembering Harry, Randy and Sally didn't have powers.
"Of all the things this Jackal's done, this is the worst." Logan growled.
"And I used to look up to him." Gwen sighed, hugging herself.
Everyone turned to him.
"He used to be our science teacher." Peter explained. "That's why it hurts her slightly."
"Man, that's awful." Angelica noted.
"Not to mention gross." Kitty said disgusted. "It's like the Prof. dating one of his students."
"That'd never happen." Bobby assured.
"Yeah. He was engaged once, remembah, Kitty?" Rogue said.
"Oh, you know I mean." Kitty sighed.
"Right." Jessica said. "We have to find a way to cure everyone and quick. There's a chance the change back might not work if they stay that way too long."
"Well, still, if I'm gonna work on a cure, I'll need help." Bruce sighed. "With the other scientific heroes all mutated, I'm on my own, and that's not gonna help things."
The heroes all looked amongst each other, before Peter and Gwen turned to each other.
"Dr. Connors." they said together.
"Who?" the others all said together.
"Dr. Curt Connors." Peter explained. "He's a teacher at Empire State University."
"And he's helped us out a few times in the past." Gwen explained. "He owes us his life."
"You trust him?" Carol asked.
"We do." Peter assured.
"Right." Carol said. "I think-"
"Wait; who died and made you Boss?" Johnny asked. "I mean, with Reed and your leaders and the leaders of the X-Men mutated, why should you be in charge."
"Because I'm third-in-command of the Avengers." Carol explained.
"And there's no point arguing." Thor said. "My and Clint once had an argument about that when Steve and Tony were away. When they came back, they told us all Carol is the leader in their absence."
"Okay, fair enough." Johnny sighed.
"Hey, I'm not arguing." Logan said. "With Cyke and Storm out, I'm in charge of the X-Men. But in this case, I think Carol's a better leader."
"Thank you, Wolverine." Carol said. "Right, I think one of Spiders should go with Bruce and find Dr. Connors, since they know him the best."
Peter and Gwen looked at each other, as Miles and Jessica both turned to them.
"Peter, I think it should be you that goes." Gwen said. "He trusts Spider-Man the most since you saved his life after the...you-know-what."
"Okay." Peter sighed.
Everyone frowned slightly, wondering what they were talking about, with Miles being the only one to know, as Peter had told him about the Lizard incident.
"I'll go with them." Kitty said, walking forward. "I'm a computer nerd, so I might come in handy. I can also do what Peter and Bruce tell me if they need an extra hand."
"Okay." Bruce sighed.
"Right, it's settled then." Carol said. "When Peter, Bruce and Kitty go to Dr. Connors, the rest of us will split up and try to contain the Spiders out in the city."
"That means no killing, Logan." Rogue said sternly.
"I know." Logan sighed.
"Carol, if I make a suggestion." Jessica said.
Carol turned to her best friend.
"I think each team should have a Spider or Logan in, since his nose and our Spider-Senses can detect warnings." Jessica suggested. "Since Pete's gonna be with Bruce and Kitty, working on the cure, they'll be warned too if something happens."
"Good idea." Carol agreed. "In this case, that might be useful. Everyone agree?"
"Agreed." everyone said together.
"Right, so Bruce, take Peter and Kitty in the Quinjet and find Dr. Connors." Carol instructed. "The rest of us will divide into teams of three and focus on containing the Man-Spiders. Those who can fly or glide won't need aid, while the others board the Blackbird."
"That'll be me, the Thing and She-Hulk." Wolverine said. "Everybody else won't need it."
"Right. That covers one team." Carol said. "Jess, you take Rogue and Johnny with you."
"Understood." Jessica said.
"Righ'." Rogue said, as Johnny nodded.
"Gwen, you and Thor come with me." Carol said.
"Right." Gwen said.
"As you wish." Thor said.
Miles moved over to Bobby and Angelica.
"Guess that leaves us?" he deduced.
"Yeah." Angelica agreed.
Carol turned to the trio.
"You sure you can handle this?" she asked, approaching them. "Jess told me about you, Miles, about how she and the others have trained you."
"Hey, I'm ready." Miles assured. "I had to save Gwen from Jackal when she was kidnapped due to Pete being in the hospital."
Carol turned around to them both in shock.
"It's true." Gwen assured. "I wasn't in costume at the time."
"He still has much to learn, but we know he can handle this." Peter assured.
"Okay." Carol sighed, before turning to Angelica. "But what about you?"
"I'll do the best I can." Angelica assured. "I haven't faced any known supervillains yet, but like you said, you need the extra help."
"Okay." Carol sighed, giving in. "So, is everyone okay with the teams."
"Yes." everyone answered.
"Right, Heroes of Earth, let's do this." Carol said.
The other heroes all nodded, then all but Peter and Gwen put their masks on - those who had too - who turned to each other, as they all ran off.
"That's a pity good battle cry." Gwen noted. "I'm sure you'll think of something, Pete."
"Thanks. Be careful, Gwen." Peter said, touching her arm.
"You too." Gwen said.
They both kissed each other, as Bobby and Kitty - the latter of which stood in the doorway of the Quinjet - turned to each other, both looking nervous and worried, before they parted and put their masks on.
Later, at E.S.U., Dr. Connors was in his lab, looking at a DNA sample on a slide through a microscope, which he'd gotten from Debra Whitman, his lab assistant, as she was among those infected.
"I hope Debra's okay." he thought. "I could really use some help here."
He kept looking through the microscope, seeing the DNA sample on it mutating, when he heard a jet noise outside.
"Huh?" he muttered.
He turned and ran outside, seeing the Quinjet parked right outside. The door opened up, and then he saw Spider-Man, Bruce and Kitty all coming towards him.
"Dr. Connors." Spider-Man said, running towards him. "I'm so glad you're here."
"Spider-Man, what's going on?" Dr. Connors asked.
Bruce and Kitty both ran over towards them both.
"Have you been seeing the News about..." Spider-Man began.
"About how everyone infected with that virus is mutating into Spider monsters?" Dr. Connors finished. "Well, yes."
"Well, that's why were here, Dr. Connors, 'cause we need your help." Spider-Man explained.
"My help?" Dr. Connors said.
"Yes." Spider-Man said. "We need to create a cure for this before it goes too far. The people mutated might stay like that forever if we don't ask fast."
"I figured the same thing, but why me?" Dr. Connors asked. "Aren't there others who can help?"
"Tony, Dr. Richards, Dr. Pym and Dr. McCoy have all be infected and mutated by the virus." Bruce explained. "I'm the only scientific hero who hasn't. I can't do this alone."
"Spidey told us about you, and how much he trusts you." Kitty added. "That's why we came here."
Dr. Connors looked at them all.
"Well, I do owe you my life, Spider-Man." he sighed. "Come on in and I'll show you what I've discovered."
He turned around and led them all into his lab, before he approached his microscope. As he did, Kitty looked around the lab, as Bruce and Spider-Man moved to either side of Dr. Connors.
"Do you have a lab assistant?" Kitty asked.
"I...had, but she's among those who's mutated." Dr. Connors sighed. "I haven't been able to reach her all day. I took a sample from her yesterday, 'cause I had a feeling there was more going on. See what I've found."
Bruce looked through the microscope, seeing the mutated DNA on the slide.
"Whoa!" he gasped, raising his head up. "That is nasty."
Spider-Man looked through the microscope to see for himself, and saw Bruce was right.
"You're right." he agreed, lifting his head up. "That's worse than I thought."
"I know. My wife's among those infected as well." Dr. Connors sighed. "She never came home last night, and when I saw the News, I figured she must've turned."
"What about your son?" Spider-Man asked. "Is he okay?"
"We sent him away to spend some time with Martha's sister." Dr. Connors explained. "I called and told her to keep him until this mess is over."
"Is your wife like you, Doc?" Bruce asked.
"In a way, yes." Dr. Connors answered. "But if she's among those out there, she can't help."
"Then I guess it's up to the four of us to make the cure while the others try to contain the Man-Spiders." Kitty deduced.
"What about Ghost Spider?" Dr. Connors asked. "I mean, you and she promised you'd help me with something, Spider-Man?"
"We did, and we're still working on it." Spider-Man assured. "But right now, she's needed out there."
"What d'you mean?" Dr. Connors asked.
"There's only five heroes uninfected who can sense danger, including me and my team." Spider-Man explained. "Since you trust me the most, Doc, we decided I better come over, while the others work with the other heroes in the city. They're working in four teams of three out there to cover more ground."
"I see." Dr. Connors understood.
"So, what do we do first?" Kitty asked.
"If we're to make a cure, we need to take a look at a sample which hasn't mutated yet." Bruce sighed.
"I don't think my DNA would do." Spider-Man reasoned. "I mean, I'm immune since I got my powers before the virus."
"Unless one of those mutated spiders comes here, we've got no chance then." Dr. Connors sighed.
"And with the others all around the city, we can't count on them." Kitty sighed. "It could take them hours to bring one here."
"What if there was another way?" came a voice, which Spider-Man recognized.
He and the others all looked around.
"Who said that?" Bruce said.
Kitty turned to the door and pointed at it, seeing Anya standing by it, who hadn't mutated yet unlike most of the others infected.
"There." she said.
Spider-Man, Bruce and Dr. Connors all turned around to Anya.
"I thought that voice sounded familiar." Spider-Man thought.
"Who are you?" Kitty asked, folding her arms.
"I'm Anya Corazon." Anya explained, approaching them all. "I'm a student at Midtown High."
"Well, what are you doing here?" Bruce asked.
"I want to help." Anya explained.
"You?" Kitty questioned, pointing at her. "How can you help? You're just a kid!"
"Hey, you don't look that much older than me!" Anya snapped, glaring at her.
Kitty frowned and glared at her, before Spider-Man got between them.
"Hey, let's hear her out?" he reasoned.
"But how?" Dr. Connors inquired. "How can she help?"
"Because I'm one of the many who's been infected by the spider virus." Anya explained. "Look?"
She bent down and jumped up, sticking herself to the ceiling on her knees and right hand, shocking all but Spider-Man, who put on his best shocked face beneath his mask.
"But...if you are...how come you haven't mutated yet?" Kitty asked.
"That's just it, I'm not sure." Anya replied. "When I saw the News, I had a feeling I might soon."
She clamed herself and jumped down from the ceiling, landing on her feet.
"I've been swinging all over the city to find one of the Web-Warriors for help." she explained. "When I saw that jet outside, I figured one of them might be in here, and I was right."
"I wonder why you're not like the others then?" Bruce said. "There must be a reason."
"Yeah." Spider-Man agreed. "Wait, why don't we check it out?"
"What do you mean?" Bruce asked.
"Well, if we took a sample of her DNA, we can compare it to Dr. Connors assistant's." Spider-Man explained.
"Then by comparing them and with you're DNA, we might be able to create a cure." Bruce deduced. "Good thinking."
"Indeed." Dr. Connors agreed. "It just might work. You two better roll up your sleeves so we can get started."
Spider-Man and Anya nodded, before they both rolled up their right sleeves, as Kitty picked up two syringes from a table, and handed them to each scientist.
"This might sting." Dr. Connors said.
"I've had plenty of shots." Anya assured. "This is no different."
"On that, we agree." Spider-Man said.
Bruce dug his into Anya's right arm, while Dr. Connors dug his into Spider-Man's, before they pulled them out, to start their work.
Meanwhile, out in the city, Wolverine, Ben and She-Hulk all remained in the Blackbird, as Wolverine flew it around the city.
"How far we gonna go before we can start clobbering those monsters?" Ben asked.
"Until I find a place to land this so we can begin." Wolverine answered.
She-Hulk looked around, as she sat beside him, before she spotted a landing pad on a small building, with several Man-Spiders down below.
"Is that good enough?" she asked, pointing at it.
Wolverine turned to the landing pad and grinned.
"Perfect." he said.
He moved the Blackbird down, then landed it on the landing pad, then opened up the door.
"Let's go." he said.
"Just remember, no killing." She-Hulk reminded him.
"I know." Wolverine said.
They all turned and ran out of the Blackbird, then ran to the edge of the rooftop.
"Looks like this part of the city's swarming with Man-Spiders." Ben said.
"Let's get it on." Wolverine smirked, extending his claws.
She-Hulk glared at him.
"I know." Wolverine assured. "I'll only use these to block their pincers."
"That I can live with." She-Hulk said.
"Let's go." Wolverine said.
They all jumped off the rooftop and landed in the street, She-Hulk and Ben both landing hard, causing part of the ground to rise up around them.
"It's clobbering time!" Ben yelled.
The three heroes separated and began to fight the Man-Spiders.
Ben charged at two then spread his arms out, ramming two in the head with them, knocking them down onto their backs. He then grabbed a third as it pounced towards him, then he spun around and threw it away, which hit a wall and fell unconscious.
Wolverine glared at two as they came at him, holding his claws up as they did.
"Remember, Logan, don't kill 'em." he thought.
He dodged as one shot venom from its mouth at him, then he dived towards it and retracted his right claw, before punching its face, knocking it away. He turned around as the other tried to whack him with one of its right arms, but he blocked it with his left claw, then kicked its belly, knocking it away.
"I can't afford to cut off any arms in case it's their real ones." he thought. "Just use these claws to block and cut through their webs."
He turned around as a third Man-Spider came at him, which then shot two webs from its main arms, which hit and pinned him against a wall.
"Ah!" he grunted.
The Man-Spider came towards him, before he cut the web up with his claws, then he jumped and kicked the Man-Spider away, which hit the ground on its back out cold.
She-Hulk held up her fists as three came towards her, before one shot a web line at her from its mouth. She dodged and then grabbed it, then pulled the web forward, before punching its face, sending it flying away into a car, which it hit. She turned and saw another coming at her, before she turned and raised her left arm up, whacking its face with her left arm, knocking it out, as Ben watched.
"Whoa." he said. "Impressive."
"Thank you, Mr. Grimm." She-Hulk said.
"Guess you really are Bruce's cousin." Ben joked, as he ran towards her.
She-Hulk smiled as Wolverine joined them, before he sniffed the air.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"More of them's coming." Wolverine explained.
"Ha. Bring it on?" Ben smirked, punching his fist. "I'm not scared."
"I mean a lot more, Grimm." Wolverine said coldly.
Ben turned around, and saw more Man-Spiders approaching them, including Lt. DeWolff, her police uniform ripped and teared. She-Hulk looked down the other end and saw many more coming towards them, including Debra Whitman, as she wore her lab coat, while Wolverine saw more jumping down from the rooftop across the street. The three heroes gathered together, before they were surrounded by at least 50 Man-Spiders.
"Ah. This is gonna be a long day." Ben said.
He and She-Hulk held their fists up, while Wolverine held his claws up, all knowing what they had to do.
"Let's do it." She-Hulk said.
They all separated and began to fight the Man-Spiders.
In another area, Ghost Spider, Thor and Capt. Marvel all stood in the center of a square area, surrounded by dozens of Man-Spiders, as several civilians ran off scared.
"I really hope none of our friends are among these people." Thor said.
"That makes two of us." Ghost Spider gulped, thinking of Mary Jane and Anya, her two closet female friends.
"We have to subdue them until we hear from Bruce and Spidey." Capt. Marvel said. "If you see anyone in trouble, get them outta here."
"Yes, ma'am." Ghost Spider understood.
"Don't call me 'Ma'am'!" Capt. Marvel snarled.
"Sorry." Ghost Spider said.
She jumped over and pounced towards several Man-Spiders, as Capt. Marvel flew towards some more, while Thor flew up while spinning Mjölnir around. He looked around as Capt. Marvel punched Man-Spider's chest, knocking it away out cold, while Ghost Spider web-yanked one towards her, then punched its face, knocking it out cold, when he heard something.
"Help!" a woman screamed.
He flew down towards the woman and picked her up, whacking a Man-Spider away as he did, before he flew off with the woman. He looked around and saw an ambulance nearby, which he flew towards, before putting her down, when Jane Foster and another paramedic came out and approached them.
"Jane?" Thor gasped.
Jane stopped dead in her tracks as her collaege took the woman and helped her into the ambulance.
"Thor." Jane said. "I'm glad you're okay."
"I'm glad you weren't infected like most." Thor said.
"Most of you Avengers get this Spider-Virus?" Jane asked.
"Yes. Apart from me, only Carol, Bruce and Jess didn't." Thor explained. "Luckily, some of our friends and allies didn't either."
"I can see that." Jane said, seeing Ghost Spider kicked a Man-Spider away. "Is Bruce doing something about this?"
"He is, with the help of Spider-Man and Shadowcat." Thor assured. "Spider-Man knows someone who might be able to help."
"Right." Jane understood. "Take care of yourself."
"You too." Thor said.
Jane smiled before she got into the ambulance with her colleague, then it drove off, as Thor jumped up and spun Mjölnir around.
"I better get back there and help my friends." he thought.
He turned around and flew over towards the scene.
Ghost Spider jumped and landed on her hands, then she boosted herself up and flipped sideways to her left. She shot webs from both her hands, webbing two Man-Spiders to a wall, before she landed on in a four point stance, then got up and turned as her Spider-Sense tingled. She saw one Man-Spider just inches from her, who tried to slash her with its right arm, but she grabbed the end of it, then threw it over her shoulder, which hit a car's roof and squashed it.
"That's what I call a glam slam." she joked.
Capt. Marvel flew up into the air, before she fired beams from her hands at two Man-Spiders, cutting the ground open in front of them, causing them to fall down into the Subway tunnel. She turned around as another shot venom from it's mouth at her, but missed as she flew up into the air, then she dived down and punched it with both fists, sending it flying across the street, hitting the ground out cold. She landed on the ground, then turned around and ducked as one tried to slash her with its right pincer, before she kicked it away with both feet, making it hit the ground on its back.
"Man. These guys are sneaky." she noted.
She turned to Ghost Spider, who came towards her, as they both stared at about 10 more Man-Spiders - including three woman, as two had torn skirts on, the third a formal dress.
"Just how many people got infected with this virus?" Ghost Spider questioned.
"I have no clue, but I'll give the Jackal this, he doesn't care about who he infects to get what he wants." Capt. Marvel said.
They both prepared themselves, when a bunch of thunder hit the Man-Spiders and knocked them away, making them both look up, to see Thor floating down towards them.
"How was that?" he asked, as he landed near them. "That should keep them out cold for a while."
"Pretty impressive, Thor." Ghost Spider remarked.
"Indeed." Capt. Marvel agreed.
"Thank you." Thor said. "I've looked around, and there are no more civilians in the area."
"Good to know." Capt. Marvel said. "Let's get outta here and check another area."
"Good idea." Ghost Spider said. "If this area's clear, better check the next."
They were all about to jump up, when they heard a noise that made them all turn around.
"Did you guys hear that?" Ghost Spider gasped.
"Yeah." Capt. Marvel replied.
They all heard the noise again, and then turned to see 20 more Man-Spiders, including Capt. Stacy, shocking Ghost Spider, as she recognized her Dad's uniform.
"Oh, no! Dad!" she thought. "This isn't good!"
She turned to her fellow heroes, who were both prepared, but she didn't like the idea of fighting her own father.
"I hope Miles' Dad isn't in his area." she thought hopefully, as she reluctantly prepared herself.
"Be ready for anything." Capt. Marvel instructed.
"Understood." Ghost Spider nodded.
"As you said, roger." Thor joked.
He and Capt. Marvel jumped up and flew down towards the Man-Spiders, as Ghost Spider began shooting web balls at them all, hoping to blind them to slow them down.
At the Daily Bugle's area, Shadow-Spider, Iceman and Firestar were all on a rooftop together right near it, looking around, seeing several Man-Spiders down in the street on either side, with several civilians trapped between them.
"We've gotta get those people out of there." Shadow-Spider said.
"There's an alley over there." Firestar said, pointing at it, which was on her left. "They can escape that way."
"We just have to keep them busy. I can create an ice wall down one end of the street." Iceman said.
"And I create a wall of fire down the other end." Firestar said.
"Okay, but be careful." Shadow-Spider advised. "Remember, those are innocent people. We can't avoid to hurt them more then necessary."
"Ha, Spidey's taught you well." Iceman joked. "That's exactly what he would say."
"Thanks. Come on, let's go." Shadow-Spider said.
He jumped down and spread his arms out, gilding down towards the street, as Firestar flew after him, while Iceman raced after them while making an ice slide with his right hands.
Shadow-Spider dived down towards a pair of children siblings, as one Man-Spider stood over them, this one being a woman as she had a torn skirt on. Both children held each other tight, the sister crying into her older brother's arms.
"Matt, I'm scared." she cried.
"Me too, Marge." Matt said. "I still can't believe what happened to Mom."
Marge cried as she turned her head, as the Man-Spider came towards them both, when Shadow-Spider kicked her away with both feet. The Spider-Monster hit the ground on its side, before Shadow-Spider turned to the siblings.
"You two okay?" he asked.
"Y-Yes." Matt said, as Marge nodded.
"Look, head for that alley." Shadow-Spider explained, pointing at it. "You need to get to safety and find your family."
"We don't know where our Dad is, and... that Spider-Monster's our Mom." Matt explained.
"I'm sorry, but you have to get outta here." Shadow-Spider said. "We're all gonna find a way stop this, I promise. Just go."
Both siblings nodded and ran towards the alley, as Shadow-Spider turned around and webbed up their mother.
"Man, I really hope there is a cure." he thought.
Down the street, Firestar landed and shot fire over at several Man-Spiders, creating a small fire wall in front of them, making them stay still. She turned around in mid-air and saw a few people running towards the alley, as one Man-Spider came towards them, this one wearing a torn jacket and jeans. She flew down over towards the Man-Spider, getting between in and the people, who turned to her.
"I don't think so." she said. "You can this, Angelica."
She thought hard, as she shot small fireballs from her hands the Man-Spider, hitting him all over slightly, making him move back to dodge them.
"Can't hurt him too much as he's a mutated Human." she reminded herself, before she turned to the people. "Get outta here! Go!"
The people nodded, not needing to be told twice, before they turned around and ran off, then once they were at a distance, she stopped attacking the Man-Spider, and flew up higher in the street.
Iceman jumped off his ice slide and landed crouched down in the street, staring at three Man-Spiders, which came towards him. He smirked and shot ice at them all, freezing them up in it up to their necks.
"That should hold them for a while." he said.
He turned around and saw one Man-Spider coming towards him, making him smirk.
"Time for a little slide-show." he joked.
He moved aside slightly, then created an ice bridge along the ground, which the Man-Spider slipped on, before it skidded along its back and crashed into a wall.
"Ha, ha, bullseye." he joked.
"Help! Help!" came a woman's voice.
"Save us!" a boy cried.
Iceman turned around and saw a few people trapped by a fire inside a building, including Harry, a fire which wasn't created by Firestar.
"We're trapped!" a girl cried. "Help!"
"Oh, man!" Iceman gasped.
He ran over towards the fire, then shot ice beams from his hands, which hit and put it out.
"Huh?" some people muttered.
Iceman showed up in the hole and looked at everyone.
"Quick, head for that alley!" he explained, pointing at it. "You'll be safe there!"
Most of the people nodded and ran off, but Harry stopped and stared at him, as he recognized him from last December, when he recused him and Mary Jane from Sandman and Venom.
"Hey, aren't you-" he began.
"Just go!" Iceman yelled. "This isn't the time!"
He turned around and ran out of the building, shooting ice at some small fires on an overturned car, before Harry ran out of the building and after the other people. As Harry ran along, Firestar looked down at him, happy to know he was okay, as she knew he was Peter's best friend.
"I really hope MJ's not one of these Spider-Monsters." she thought.
She turned and flew off, shooting fire beams from her hands down the street, creating a fire wall, which held back four Man-Spiders. She hovered in mid-air, when Iceman came over and put the fire out with his ice, shocking her.
"What you do that for?" she demanded.
"Watch." Iceman replied.
Firestar glared at him, when Shadow-Spider put his hands on the ground, shooting his Venom Blast towards the Man-Spiders, shocking them all, before they passed out.
"Wow." Firestar said.
"I see Spidey wasn't kidding when you had that power like Spider-Woman does." Iceman said.
"Well, yeah." Shadow-Spider said, rubbing the back of his head with embarrassment.
Firestar spun around and looked around, seeing all the Man-Spiders either unconscious, frozen up to the head, or had ran off - hopefully away from Harry and the other civilians. She landed down near Shadow-Spider, before the three heroes gathered together.
"Everyone's out?" Shadow-Spider said.
"Looks like it." Firestar said. "I can't see anyone expect those Man-Spiders."
"Then this part of the city's secure." Shadow-Spider said.
"Good." Firestar said. "For my first big mission, this isn't what I thought I'd be doing."
"Hey, you're doing fine, Firestar." Iceman assured. "Just remember, you can't burn them."
"I know." Firestar said. "Should we check another area."
"Good idea." Shadow-Spider said.
They all turned around to move, when they heard a web shooting noise.
"Oh, great!" Iceman groaned. "Looks like more of them showed up."
They all turned around and saw he was right, as several more Man-Spiders coming towards them via web lines. They landed in the street, then Shadow-Spider gasped, recognizing one of them as his father, who had a torn-up version of his police uniform.
"Oh, my God!" he gasped. "Be prepared, guys. We'll have to deal with them first."
Iceman and Firestar both prepared themselves, knowing they had to stop them, without really hurting them.
At Central Park, Spider-Woman, Rogue and Johnny were all surrounded by several Man-Spiders, which all slowly converge on them.
"Man, Spidey wasn't kidding about most of the city mutating." Johnny said. "No offence, Rogue."
"None taken, Johnny." Rogue assured. "Jus' remembah, be careful with yer fire. They're all innocent people."
"I know." Johnny assured. "So, what do we do?"
"First things first, we need to make sure all the civilians here and safely out of the way, then try and contain the Spider-Monsters." Spider-Woman said.
"Bit hard to see with this many around us." Johnny argued.
"Maybe from here, but not in the air." Spider-Woman said.
"Ah get whut ya mean." Rogue understood.
She jumped up and flew up, then looked around, seeing two kids lying away, as a Man-Spider stood over them, this one being a woman as it had a torn dress/grown on.
"There's two kids ovah there!" she called, turning to the others.
"Rogue, get them outta here!" Spider-Woman instructed. "Johnny and I will hold them off. Search again to see if there's anyone else afterwards!"
"Ya got it." Rogue understood.
She flew off towards the two children and picked them up as the Man-Spider tried to grab them, before she flew off with them.
"Huh?" they gasped.
"Hang on, ya two?" Rogue asked.
She flew out of the park and saw an ambulance nearby, then put the kids down on the ground near it.
"Ya alrigh', kids?" Rogue asked.
"Yeah." the kids nodded.
Rogue smiled before she looked up at a male paramedic.
"Ya bettah get 'em outta 'ere. It's not safe righ' now." she said.
"I understand." the man said bitterly.
Rogue flinched slightly, before she jumped up and flew back into the park to help Johnny and Spider-Woman.
"Fucking mutie!" the paramedic gritted.
Rogue flew back over the park and looked around for any civilians.
In the park, Spider-Woman jumped backwards and twirled around as one Man-Spider tried to shoot venom from its mouth, making it miss. She landed on her feet, then shot webs from both her hands, hitting either side of the ground near it. She ducked as it shot more venom from its mouth, before she slowly backed away, then slingshot towards it, kicking it with both feet, knocking it onto its back out cold, as she stood on it.
"Whoa! Spidey was right, that does work." she thought, impressed. "Maybe I need to ask him what other moves you can do with these toys."
She turned around as five more Man-Spiders came towards her, before she held out her hands, powering up her Venom Blasts. She then put them on the ground, sending her blasts along the ground, which hit and shocked all five of them, knocking them out cold, making her grin.
Johnny shook his head and looked up, seeing Reed and Susan standing in front of him, as they both wore their Fantastic 4 uniforms, which shocked him.
"Reed, Sue, stop!" he pleaded. "It's me, Johnny!"
His sister snarled and tried to whack him with her right main arm, but missed as he rolled away, then Reed spat venom from his mouth at him.
"Yikes!" Johnny yelped.
He jumped up and kicked him in the jaw, before he back flipped and landed on his feet, staring at his sister and brother-in-law.
"I'm sorry, guys." he said. "I really don't wanna do this."
He jumped and pounced towards them both, punching them in their chests, knocking them onto his back, before he got up and jumped up.
"Flame on!" he yelled, flaming himself up.
He turned around as he floated above the trees, looking around for Rogue and Spider-Woman, but couldn't see them.
"Great! We got separated!" he groaned.
He leaned forward and flew off to find either of them.
Rogue flew down towards one Man-Spider and grabbed his right arm.
"Let's see how ya lahke bein' up in th' air?" she teased, flying up with it.
She flew off slightly before she dropped it down towards the ground, knocking it out cold.
"Guess not." she whispered.
She was about to fly off, when a web hit the back of her left arm, making her turn.
"Huh?" she gasped.
She grabbed the web and ripped it off her arm, before she turned around and saw another Man-Spider looking up at her from below her.
"Well, well, looks lahke anothah lil' spidah wants t' play." she smirked.
She flew down towards it, prepared to punch it, but then stopped in mid-air and gasped.
"No, it can't be?" she gasped, covering her mouth with her left hand.
She looked at the Man-Spider closely and realized it was Gambit, as it had her lover's duster coat on, which she would recognized anywhere.
"Remy!" she gasped. "Remy, please don'? It's me, yer Rogue!"
Gambit hissed and shot venom from his mouth at her, but missed as she jumped up and hovered in the air. He looked up at her and hissed, making her cry slightly, before she wiped them with her right arm.
"Ah am so sorry 'bout this, sugah." she said softly.
She flew down towards Gambit and punched him hard in the face, knocking him away, before he hit a tree, knocking him out cold.
"We'll cure ya, Remy. Ah promise." she thought, tears in her eyes.
She jumped up and flew off, before she saw Johnny flying towards her.
"Rogue, you okay?" Johnny asked.
"Yeah, ah'm fahne, it's jus'... Remy's back there." Rogue cried.
"So's Reed and Sue." Johnny said. "I hate having to fight my own sister but I had no choice. Let's find Spider-Woman."
Rogue nodded before they both turned and flew towards their right, seeing her down below, webbing two Man-Spiders to a tree, before they landed near her.
"You okay?" Johnny asked.
"Yeah." Spider-Woman replied, turning to them. "You two."
"Yeah, but-" Rogue began.
"My sister, Reed and Gambit are among those here in the park." Johnny explained. "We had to fight them off."
"I'm sorry." Spider-Woman said. "The quicker we get that cure, the quicker this will end."
Her Spider-Sense suddenly tingled, making her look around.
"You sense something?" Johnny asked.
"Yeah." Spider-Woman answered, before pointing at a treeline. "Look!"
Johnny and Rogue turned to where she pointed, and saw about two dozen Man-Spiders approaching them, including two of Midtown High's cheerleaders, who were wearing cheerleader uniforms.
"This is not going to be easy." Johnny gulped.
"For once, I agree with you." Spider-Woman agreed.
"Let's hope Kitty an' th' others are workin' on that cure." Rogue said.
She and Johnny flew towards the Man-Spiders, as Spider-Woman jumped and gilded towards them.
Back at E.S.U, Dr. Connors had finished analysing Anya's spider DNA, which was mutating slower than Debra's, as he could see on a slide beneath the microscope. Bruce was doing the same with Spider-Man's through another microscope, as Anya lay on a table, with Spider-Man standing next to her, as Kitty stood by Bruce.
"I've finished." Dr. Connors said.
Anya sat up on the table as Spider-Man, Kitty and Bruce all turned to him.
"Your DNA isn't mutating as quickly as my assistant's is." Dr. Connors explained. "There's a chance other people infected are doing the same."
"So not everyone is mutating at the same rate." Spider-Man deduced.
"Exactly." Dr. Connors answered.
"Well, that explains that." Anya said.
"I've gone over Spider-Man's DNA." Bruce said. "If we can somehow use the sample to combine it with a blood sample of those infected, we might be able to cure everyone by having his DNA kill the disease."
Kitty turned to Dr. Connors.
"Your assistant's DNA. We can test it on that." she realized.
"You're right." Dr. Connors agreed. "But then, we'll need to test it on someone before trying to cure everyone infected."
"Well, look, if you need someone to test it on, I'm more than okay if you did it on me." Anya said.
Everyone turned to her.
"Are you sure?" Spider-Man asked.
"You and Ghost Spider saved my papa's life last year." Anya recalled. "It's the least I can do to repay you."
"Okay." Spider-Man sighed. "But we'll have to put you in a containment holder or something in case you mutate before it's ready."
"I understand." Anya assured.
"Good thing the Quinjet might have one." Bruce said. "I'll go get it while the rest of your start working on the cure."
He turned around and ran off, as Kitty approached Dr. Connors.
"Just tell me what to do." she said. "I'll follow your lead."
"Okay." Dr. Connors said. "Come on?"
He led her away to the other side of the lab, as Spider-Man and Anya looked at each other.
"I hope this cure works." Anya said. "Several of my best friends are among those infected and probably mutated."
"I'm glad it didn't happen to you yet." Spider-Man said. "If you hadn't come over and gave us your DNA sample, we might not have been able to work on the cure."
"Can I ask you something?" Anya asked.
"Sure." Spider-Man said.
"Why do you and the others do this?" Anya asked. "I mean, when you got your powers, which obviously had to have been from a different source, why do you use them to help people?"
"Because the man who was like a father to me died because of my actions." Spider-Man explained. "One of the last things he told me, was 'With great power, comes great responsibility'. I didn't use my powers responsibly when I first got them, and he paid the price."
Anya was speechless as she opened her mouth in shock, as was Kitty, who could overhear them.
"Gwen never told me that?" she thought.
"So, you do this to make sure no one else has to suffer like you did?" Anya inquired, getting up from the table.
"Yes. Once Ghost and then Shadow showed up, I told them my story, and they've been doing the same thing." Spider-Man explained.
"Well...that's admirable." Anya admitted. "So, I take it that's what the masks are for, to project your loved ones?"
"Yes." Spider-Man sighed. "They're not to hide, but to project."
Anya smiled and touched his shoulder.
"So, I take it when this first started, all three of you were shocked?" she assumed.
"Yep. I will admit, if it wasn't for the mutations that's happened, this might not have been too bad." Spider-Man said. "Some of the people even helped us out the other day."
"Well, if I'd been there, I would've too." Anya assured. "Like I said, I owe you and Ghost Spider for saving my papa's life. I've even got my own scrapbook about you guys at home."
"Nice to know." Spider-Man said, even though Gwen had already told him.
Anya smiled when Bruce came back in, getting everyone's attention.
"Where's the containment unit?" Kitty asked.
"There isn't one." Bruce sighed.
"I guess I'll have to web Anya to the wall then if she starts to mutate." Spider-Man sighed.
"I understand, Spider-Man." Anya understood. "In the meantime, just tell me what to do so I can help. I'm a Science major."
"Well, we need to start mass producing Spider-Man's DNA so we can cure everyone." Dr. Connors explained. "Let's just hope we can make enough for the whole city."
Anya nodded, before she walked over to a wall where a bunch of lab coats was, before she grabbed one and put it on. She grabbed a few more, then walked back over to the others, before she handed one to Kitty, Bruce and Spider-Man.
"Let's do it." she said.
Everyone nodded, as they began to work on the cure for mutated people, and to hopefully put an end to Spider Island.
To be continued...
