Kimberly continues chatting on the internet, hoping to convince some radical group that she wants to do damage. Audrey comes to tell her the bad news.

.

Audrey: Kim, we need to talk.

Kim: Is everything okay?

Audrey: It's Jamal, he's going to be okay.

Kim: Did something happen?

Audrey: Yes, there was an explosion, but the doctors say he's going to be okay.

Kim: Is he in the hospital, I need to see him.

Audrey: I'll drive you.

The evacuation of the American embassy has resumed, it is nearly back on schedule. Barnes wishes he could take a moment to savor this late Afghan afternoon, the last one he will experience here. But he has to continue working, and hope that no more emergencies will emerge. Sadly, that wish will go unfullfiled. Kyle Singer comes with some news.

.

Kyle: Obaidullah broke under Taliban interrogation. He admitted his involvement in the recent attacks, and said he spoke with reverend Adam personally. He also said he was planning to kill Samira Noori.

Barnes: I've heard of her, she's an activist, very critical of the Taliban.

Kyle: Yeah but Obaidullah says he was planning to kill her as a favor to an ally, someone that he still needed.

Barnes: Who exactly?

Kyle: He says he didn't know. Only Razi spoke to this ally, but suppossedly it was someone whose cooperation the rouge faction would need after the occupation ended. Samira Noori has been pretty critical of the current Afghan government, accusing them of massive corruption. What if one of these leaders wanted to silence this critic?

Barnes: We have to leave this country in less than 8 hours, I'm not sure now's the time to begin an investigation into an ally government. But that's not my call, I'll inform acting president Keaton.

At the White House president Keaton is again speaking with president Suvarov. It is in regards to the Ukranian children being held in Russia.

.

Keaton: The world community feels that your side kidnapped these children.

Suvarov: Should we have left the orphans on the street to starve and die? My people took in these children, and we are villified for it.

Keaton: Nevertheless those children should be returned to their families in Ukraine.

Suvarov: And if they have no living families? Believe it or not some of these children have formed ties to their Russian families.

Keaton: Maybe. The United Nations can help sort out which children can be returned and which ones have no living relatives. I know it will be emotionally complicated, I won't pretend otherwise. Perhaps the humanitarian agencies can help these orphans maintain some ties with both families.

Suvarov: Perhaps. But either way we will both be accused of tearing families apart.

Keaton: We'll just have to live with that.

At CTU Jamey Farrell quietly approaches Ryan Chapelle.

.

Jamey: I just found something. The house that Kalil used, its owned by Parsons Industries.

Chapelle: Never heard of it.

Jamey: As far as I can tell its only purpose is to buy local real estate. George Mason is the sole owner of this company.

Chapelle: You're telling me that Mason owned the house that was bombed?

Jamey: Yes.

Chapelle: Well that's probable cause if I ever heard it.

.

Chapelle then orders the guards to place George Mason under arrest. Mason professes his innocence, but is nevertheless led to a holding room.
