Luz and Amity spent the next few days researching, searching the boiling isles for a way to allow them to have a baby. The library yielded no results. Neither did the market nor the black market. Heck even searching an ancient ruin full of death defying traps yielded nothing. The two witches were stumped sitting at their kitchen table." said before sipping her coffee. "Well we looked everywhere for an answer and nobody had one. Luz let's face it, we might have to consider finding a donor." Amity said, comforting her wife. " But I wanted our baby to be the best of both of us. Amity, we have to be missing something. Can we give it till the end of the week?" Luz said, giving the cutest puppy dog face. " Alright we will give it to the end of the week. You know I can't say no to that face." Amity said before taking a sip of her Coffee " Of course I do
sweet potato. Now I'd love to stay and chat but I've got errands to run to love you." Luz said, blowing a kiss to her wife as she went out the front door. Amity finished her coffee, looked down at her watch and realized. "Oh crap. I forgot I'm supposed to meet up with Dad today." And with that the young witch made her way out the door and was on her way to blight industries…
Blight industries 2 hours later…..
Amity made her way through the abomination factory. Blight industries had undergone a massive transition in the years since the fall of Belos. Following Their divorce Alador assumed control of Blight Industries as its new Ceo. He was first approached by Raine with a proposal to work on technology to remove the coven sigils. It had taken a few years but with the help of expert healers like his own daughter Emira as a research assistant they had found a way to remove the coven sigils. While it was a big success
there was more work to be next goal was to track down, dismantle and repurpose the abomatons and other abomination based weapons he had spent the good half of 20 years constructing, the bulk of which went to the emperor's coven for the purpose of hunting down wild witches and enforcing his will. As Amity made her way through the factory dozens of abomatons were on assembly lines having weapons removed. Alador was seen with a group of investors. " As you can see Blight Industries has come a long
way these past 10 years. We have completely transitioned from weapons production to construction and transportation. The abomatons you see once weapons used by the emperor to destroy are now being used to build a better future for all witches and demons." Alador said as one of the investors asked'' Okay but what new products do you plan on introducing to the market." Alador unsure on how to answer, said " Our engineers in research and development are tasked with developing new abomination tech."
Alador said as he noticed Amity approaching. "Here at Blight Industries we employ many young bright innovative abomination engineers such as my daughter Amity. '' Alador said, looking at his daughter as if to signal "get me out of here." Amity made her way to her dad saying "Excuse me folks I need my father for some private matters." and like that the two made their way toward Aladors office. The office had formerly been it was Nice to be in control of the company that bore his name he wasn't the most
comfortable with being the face of the company. All the meetings with the board, talking with investors it just wasn't him. He Just longed to spend his days in his workshop and tinker away on abomination but he knew he had a responsibility to the workers of his company. As Alador sat down at his desk he turned to his daughter to say"Thank titan you showed up, that meeting was dreadful." Amity, looking at her father, responded " No problem, those investors can be quite annoying." " I know. I have no idea how
your mother dealt with them. They frustrate me to no end." Alador said as he went for a bottle of hard apple blood stashed in his desk."So dad I have good news. I've got a new invention to get those investors off your back." Amity said as she handed the blueprints. Alador analyzed the blueprints thoroughly and smiled." Wonderful sweetie, absolutely wonderful." Alador said as he went in to give his daughter a hug. "Thanks dad, I knew you would love it. Now if you don't mind I need some advice." Amity said as
she sat down in a chair in front of Aladors desk. " What is it sweetie? You know I'm here whenever you need me." Alador said, looking slightly concerned. " Well you see it has to do with me and Luz. We were at Gus's birthday last week when we found out Willow and Hunter are having a baby." Amity said having a glass of appleblood herself. "Really well that is good for them." Alador said as he went for another glass." Yes it is but when we got home Luz got the idea that the two of us should have a baby of our own."
Amity said as she had another sip of appleblood." And I take it you aren't so sure about it?" Alador said to which Amity replied. "Oh no I want a baby too, but Luz wants it to be OUR BABY. As in she wants no male donor. But the problem is we haven't found a magical workaround and I'm not so sure we will and I don't think Luz will accept it." Amity said, finishing off her appleblood." I see. Well I might have a solution." Said Alador putting away the bottle of appleblood." Really!" Amity said, jumping out of her chair.
"I said it might. So a few years before you were born I had an assistant engineer at blight industries. One day she comes to me and tells me she would be taking a leave of absence. I asked her why and she told me she was having a baby. At the time I was curious bec she never made mention of a spouse or boyfriend so I asked her who is the father? She then explained to me she had agreed to be the surrogate mother for the park's family. Naturally i wished her the best and told her that her job would be waiting
for her when she got back and if she needed anything i was a call away. The pregnancy you can guess did not go well. She dealt with illness and numerous health concerns that almost took her life. She got lucky, the child not so much. From what I remember it came a month early and died a week later. She came back to work very depressed and I told her to take more time off to get her head right. So a few years pass and one day she comes in all excited. A type of excitement I hadn't seen in a while. So I go to
ask her what is going on and she tells me the parks had a daughter and they asked her to be the godmother. I was so happy for her that I asked how it happened. She didn't know how just that the two had a baby. She hadn't heard of anyone else volunteering for all she could say was it was a magical event." Alador said as he wiped off his goggles. Amity was stunned. Was her childhood friend a product of some kind of magic spell or potion this whole time. How did she not know about it? " Is that all you know
dad?" Amity said as she began to feel the excitement." That is all I know. If you want the answer you'll have to ask Willow's parents." Alador said as he put his goggles back on. The Parks residence 30 Minutes later….
"Harvey! There is someone at the door." Gilbert parks said as he was busy cleaning out him and his husband's closest. "Okay i'll get it." Harvey said as he left the kitchen and opened the front door." " Hi Mr. Park." Amity Blight said as she dusted off her clothes. "Oh hi Amity haven't seen you in a while Willow and hunter are out house hunting i can let them know you came by." Harvey said. " Oh no mr. Parks I'm not looking for Willow or Hunter I needed to ask you two something may I come in?" Amity said. "Of course, come in and sit down in the living room and how about I make some tea." Harvey said as he made his way back into the kitchen. Amity sat down in their living room and took
a look around. The walls were covered in pictures as far back as Harvey and Gilbert's youth to as recent as Willow and Hunter's Wedding. "Amity is that you, it's been too long. Gilbert said as he made his way down the stairs. The old witch had lost what was left of his hair and now spotted a full chrome dome."Good to see you too Mr. Parks." Amity said, giving the old man a hug. " Please Mr. Parks is too formal, just call me Gilbert." He said as he went to sit down. " Alright tea is ready, amity 1 lump or 2?" Harvey
said as he brought out a pot of tea. " 1 lump is fine." Amity said as she took the cup and thanked the two of them for the tea. "So what do you need to ask us?" Harvey said as he took a sip of tea. "Well if it isn't a bother I'd like to know how willow was born?" Amity said. The question caught the both of them off guard and had Harvey spit out some of his tea. "Why do you want to know?" Asked a still stunned Gilbert." Well you see me and Luz were looking to have a baby of our own and we haven't been able to find a magical workaround and my dad told me the story about his assistant so I came to ask you what happened next." Amity said as she went to take a sip of tea."Well after you
know what, me and Harvey realized we would need to find a new surrogate mother. However nobody was willing to after what had happened to the previous one so we were stumped. Until one day while looking for a new candidate in the market a strange man approached us with an offer. A way for us to have a child without a surrogate mother. We were nervous at first bec it sounded like wild magic and we didn't want to get in trouble with the law. He told us we could either take his offer or spend the next few years
looking for a new surrogate mother. Realizing we had little options we took him on his offer and for 800 snails he handed us a book and a bag of ingredients. Reading the book it entailed the recipe for a pregnancy potion. However neither of us had any real experience working with potions and bringing it to a master brewer could get us caught so we had to learn on the fly. After a month of practicing on other basic potions we gave the pregnancy potion a try and about 9 months later Willow was born." Gilbert said as he
went for his cup of tea. "Okay so who took the potion and how did it work on guys?" Amity said as she was genuinely curious. " Well I took the potion and trust me when i say this you don't wanna know how it works for guys." Harvey said before having another sip of tea."So do you still have the book and could we borrow it?" Amity said. Harvey and Gilbert looked at each other and began to laugh. Amity was slightly confused. "Amity you don't even have to ask of course you can have it. Gilbert, do you remember
where you put it?" Harvey asked his husband . "I believe it's in the attic I'll go take a look." Gilbert said and within 5 mins he brought a tattered old and worn out book titled strange potions of the boiling isles. " I wonder why I couldn't find a copy?" Amity said as she looked over the countless pages crammed with all sorts of strange and wonderful potions. "Easy when Belos banned wild magic he also cracked down on any and all information pertaining to wild magic. This book was one of those items deemed illegal. I
wouldn;t be surprised if this was the only copy left in the entire demon realm." Gilbert said as Amity opened up to the page she was looking for the pregnancy potion." with one posset of this potion any man or woman shall be able to hast a child with whomever they would." Amity read from the opening sentence. "For the potion thou seek thou
shall want 1 vile of titans blood, a vile of blood from each parent, a griffens feather, the tooth of a giraffe 1 fire bee and a trash slug egg." Amity read and she was hooked. " Those ingredients shouldn't be too hard to find. I can't thank you two enough. This will make the perfect surprise gift for our anniversary." Amity said as a big smile stretched across her face. "Oh it's no problem Amity, we are more than happy to help you two." the parks said. " Well I better get home and hide before Luz shows up. Congrats on becoming grandparents." Amity said and with that the young witch made her way home.
