Author's Note: Here we go with the latest chapter of Runaway Love!

Thank you to Blood for Ink for the generous amount of reviews, I hope you enjoy more of these chapters. And to answer your question, there is no body found at Sweetwater River. Also, thank you to Boris Yeltsin and Crimson Commander688 for the reviews; I'm glad that you're happy to see this story updated. It does feel good to be back. Hopefully, this chapter and the next ones will be a bit longer.

Anyways, on with the new chapter!

Riverdale doesn't belong to me; all rights go to the CW & Warner Bros. OCs belong to Boris Yeltsin.

Chapter 83

"This is how my dad had his Jason Blossom and Polly Cooper suspect board, before it was trashed." Kevin said.

He, Jughead and Betty are in the Blue & Gold office, going over a mock-up of Sheriff Keller's suspect board. It contained photos of Jason, the Blossom family, Polly, the Cooper family, newspaper articles, Sweetwater River, names and photos of other Riverdale residents.

"Any leads on who did that and what they were looking for?" Jughead inquired.

"Nope," Kevin replied. "No fingerprints. They stole a bunch of files, background checks, and all the video and audio tapes of police interviews."

Suddenly, the door opens and Trev Brown, Valerie's brother peeks in.

"Hey, Betty." Trev greeted the blonde with a friendly smile.

"Trev, hi." Betty responds.

"Sorry to interrupt," Trev began to say.

"Oh, no, uh…it's okay." Betty insisted. "We're just uh, working on…"

"Our suspect board," Jughead interjects.

"Well, I just wanted to make sure we're still on for tomorrow." Trev said.

"Absolutely," Betty answered. "It's a date,"

Kevin looks mildly intrigued, while Jughead looked puzzled.

"I mean, I'll, I'll see you then." Betty clarified.

"Bye, see ya." Trev grins and walks off.

"Bye," Betty turns to face Kevin.

"Going on a date with Trev? Does Mama Cooper know about that?" Kevin asked, skeptically.

"Kev, I'm not on house arrest." Betty replied.

Kevin gives her a look.

"Okay, she's out of town at a Women in Journalism spa retreat." Betty admits. "Anyway, it's not a date-date."

"You just called it a date." Jughead points out.

"That's just my cover. Really, it's an intelligence gathering mission." Betty insists, as Jughead rolls his eyes and Kevin just smiles knowingly. "We should focus on the one thing. We have access to what your dad doesn't…the kids at Riverdale High." She addressed Kevin.

"You know, maybe Trev knows something about Jason and Polly, he didn't think was important."

Jughead mulls over it.

A/N: Okay, so this chapter was a bit longer, not too short. Hopefully, the next ones will be longer though.

I had previously mentioned that Archie won't be competing with Reggie for the football captain position, however it's Jock that's going to be competing with Reggie.

So, in the next chapter; Jock tries out football and Hermione turns down Fred's offer for a second date.

More to come!
