I stand amongst the shadowy fog, the malice-infused monster had awakened. Hopefully, it wouldn't sense me, or that's what I had thought. Its glowing amber eyes stared directly into my soul, I can sense the evil intentions behind its glare. The monster stood up and howled, its low growl had pierced directly into the very fabric of my being. I turn around and start running.

I don't care if it can see me, I thought with my heart pounding, I need to get out of here. I ran as far as I could, the leaves and twigs crunching beneath me. Thunder is roaring in the forest, and I feel the rain pouring on me. I hear the monster running behind me, and I dove into the bushes. Thank the stars above! It lost track of me and turned around.

I climbed my way out of the bushes, hoping to return back to (Hometown) before the monster devours my flesh. Crack! A stick had cracked underneath me, and the monster turned around. Its glare directed at my very being. I didn't think twice and just ran for my life. Away from that malice-fueled beast, and back into (Hometown).

The monster is still in my pursuit, and it's still after me. I run as fast as I could, my heart pounding and shortness of breath. I'm almost there, back to (Hometown). The brilliance of the golden lights on the plaza shine from the town gates. I stumbled onto the ground suddenly, and I look down at my feet. My ankle is twisted, and I'm caught on part of the tree trunk. A sharp pain shoots up through my leg.

It caught up to me, and I looked up at the monster. I was so close, yet so far. I closed my eyes as I accepted my fate.

Crash! The thunder booms outside as (Y/N) opens her eyes from that ghastly nightmare. She is covered in a pool of her own sweat, and her heart is pounding. It was just a bad dream, she thought as she sat up on her bed. (Y/N) grabbed her phone from the nightstand, and she turned it on. It's already three-thirty in the morning, and rain is pouring on the roof.

It's been so long since that incident happened. (Y/N) had snuck out of her bedroom window in the middle of the night. All because of a dare from Jay and Kody, she was to walk in the woods and prove that the monster wasn't real. They were dead wrong, and she nearly died from it. If it weren't for Apollo... Well (Y/N) didn't want to reminisce on the past just yet.

The brilliance of the bright screen nearly blinded her, and (Y/N) needed to get her mind off of that frightful nightmare. She enters her pin on the lock screen, and it goes directly to the Youtube app. The video was already finished, and thank goodness that damn autoplay is turned off. It seems weird to everyone else, but watching videos helped (Y/N) fall asleep. If you asked, she wouldn't be able to articulate why. But it just works, and it's better than nothing. At the very least.

(Y/N) closes down the Youtube app for right now, and it goes straight back to the home screen. It's a cute galaxy wallpaper, and she liked it well enough to have it as the wallpaper. She has a different image as the lock screen wallpaper, and it was her pride flag. The colors of the flag each have a special meaning to (Y/N), and she was full of pride whenever she saw it.

I suppose I could scroll through Twitter really quick, (Y/N) pondered to herself, it might help me fall back asleep. She opened up a folder called "Socials", and it basically contained her social media apps. Twitter, Wattpad, and Pinterest are her main ones. But she does have other social apps, that she doesn't use as often as the main three.

She opens up Twitter and it goes directly to her timeline. It's filled with random memes and artwork, as (Y/N) mostly follows other artists on Twitter. She snorts at the memes that she actually finds funny, and scrolls through Twitter for quite a while. Until her eyelids get heavy, and she drifts back to sleep.
