Night (seventh day after collapse)

The Jedi masters, Mace Windu, Agen Kolar and Kit Fisto arrive, accompanied by Senator Amidala. Holding the vault he had found in the Chancellor's chambers.

Master Windu thought and said "whatever is there, you feel the dark side inside... there is no doubt."

No one on the council knew what was inside or how to proceed to open it, the vault was protected with Sith alchemy, like those used a few millennia ago in the Sith empires.

"What is in there is of utmost importance to the Chancellor," Yoda said with his raspy voice, while Obi-wan tried in some way, but it was not possible either.

Sidious, through the dyad he formed with Anakin, learned how his vault had been discovered in his chambers.

He felt anger, because of what was happening and the situation he found himself in.

In that vault there were very important things, especially things that belonged to his master Darth Plagueis, holocrons, scrolls and the documents of the creation of the clone army and guidelines of order 66.

He had protected them with a Sith spell, and he knew that Anakin would come to talk to him, and it was something he would take advantage of once again.

Analyzing the situation in more detail, he knew that Anakin was not going to help him escape unless they had the necessary evidence against him, due to the sentimental promise he made to Amidala and the irritating Master Obi-wan Kenobi.

He would use his cunning, pretending to once again be the gentle Palpatine that Anakin knew and admired like a father, making him believe that he was sorry for his actions, reconsider stopping being a Sith and stop his plans against the Jedi Order.

Everything is to become Emperor of the galaxy. And the only way to achieve this is to convince Anakin that he wanted to change... and when he least expects it, the Jedi himself would free him when he was convinced of his redemption.

Seeing Palpatine, Anakin is surprised. She had an appearance, or rather one of sadness, to which Anakin took him by surprise, not seeing that she was filled with anger and hatred towards him.

"I'm glad you're back Anakin... I've thought a lot about this place, and I think you're right."

"What do you mean, Chancellor? I don't understand."

"I don't want this anymore... I can't stand this condition he found me in"

Anakin didn't know what Palpatine was referring to, but he sensed that there was genuine discomfort in him.

"Chancellor, we have found something in your chambers and we believe that you have something that will put you in a delicate position before the Senate. And perhaps you will have many problems with your public image"

Anakin said and Sidious swallowed the anger he felt, but continued with his deception.

"It's a vault in his chambers and we believe there is evidence against him."

"What do you want from me? Is that why you came?... I think I deserve it Anakin... I've done bad things for a long time... before I was a Sith" Palpatine adopted a position of discomfort, holding his head with hands, pretending to feel bad.

"Are you willing to change...?" Anakin asked hopefully.

"I think so, but I don't know how and much less do I think anyone can help me with that... or can they?" I turned to look into his eyes, and they weren't yellow. "You know, Anakin, I didn't lie to you when I said I had feelings for you... if I had had a son, I would have liked him to be like you."

Anakin felt strange about this change in attitude, he didn't know how to respond to this "Chancellor, if you really mean it, I can get you out of this situation... I will teach you to use the light side and stop being a Sith, there is still hope." He sat for a moment next to him, and Sidious felt that he had already fallen for his deception. "Chancellor...I...like I said I can teach you how to use the light side, you don't have to be a Sith."

Sidious smiled inwardly, he knew that he already had it, that sooner or later it would fall into his hands, and his plans would be about to happen with the chosen one of the Jedi at his side.

"Anakin... you are a good person and a good Jedi, but I doubt the Jedi council and everyone else will agree with that" He said with a voice full of sadness, trying to generate empathy for him.

"Don't worry about it, I made sure it wasn't a problem."

Sidious pretended to accept that he would do whatever young Skywalker told him, but at any moment he would make his move to get what he wants.

Almost two more hours passed, Anakin had not returned and Obi-wan was already starting to worry.

But at that time Anakin tried to teach Palpatine some Jedi principles... such as selflessness, empathy and compassion, they even meditated for a few moments.

Sidious felt something in him, feeling deep inside, that although he didn't want it... that damn light he already had, seemed to be maximized with every step he was learning the teachings of the light side. He felt something he had never felt before, and how his powers on the dark side were altered.

He broke his concentration and told Anakin that he couldn't take it anymore, and that they had better continue later.

Anakin could feel his memories through the bond they shared "Why did he murder his parents?

Palpatine adopted a look of sadness and pain, he had to trick young Anakin into convincing him that what happened was an accident and was not intentional.

"What happened with my parents was something different, it was not intentional, it was more of an accident. I had a very strong argument with my father, and at that moment I lost control. In those years I was in a very difficult stage... I did not control well my emotions... I am very sorry for what I did with them Anakin, my mother was the victim that hurts me the most" he said with a voice that inspired compassion and pain.

Anakin without saying another word, said goodbye to the Chancellor, to rest a little. And Anakin was a little excited to have the opportunity to save them all.

I'll use this to my advantage once again... I already have an idea how to take down the Jedi, Sidious thought with dark joy in his yellow eyes.

Anakin had returned to his wife Padme's residence, and when he entered he saw her and hugged her

tightly, but he noticed something strange about her. A kind of fear or rather doubt.

"What's wrong, Padme? You look alarmed," Anakin said, sensing his wife's concern.

"Anakin... Obi-wan told me something that scared me... that you and the Chancellor had a connection in the force, tell me what it is? I'm afraid for you."

Anakin separated from her, feeling some annoyance at her question. "Padme is nothing... nothing bad, you have nothing to worry about." He said it with clear annoyance.

Padme, understanding his upset reaction, worried, "Why are you upset? I'm asking because I'm afraid for you… he's a Sith."

Padme was scared, her fears were greater, she didn't know what was going to happen or if Anakin was in danger. "Is he dangerous for you?"

Anakin denied "no, but our abilities are connected and other things..."

"What thing?"

"Master Yoda didn't tell me this, but he mentioned that it could be catastrophic for a Jedi and a Sith to be linked by a force bond as strong as a dyad."

Padme felt more and more frightened, and thought it was something she and Obi-wan had to resolve as soon as possible.

"Anakin we have to take that away from you as soon as possible... the Jedi must know a way to..."

Anakin didn't understand his strange reaction. "Why are you acting like this? There's nothing wrong with me... besides, the Chancellor isn't bad anymore, he... he wants to change and I'm going to help him."

Padme was left speechless by such shock at what was said, "What are you talking about?"

"I talked to him, and he told me that he doesn't want to do this anymore... and he wants me to help him. He doesn't want to be a Sith anymore."

Padme shook her head emphatically and shouted furiously, "How do you believe him...! Anakin is cheating on you!"

Anakin sighed in annoyance "it's called a dyad of the force, that's what the connection is called, or at least that's what Master Yoda called it." Padme was left speechless at his revelation "It is a union of the force, which is as strong as life itself. It has not happened in thousands of years... until now. Anakin began to feel a strong darkness once again, and almost a yellow flash in his eyes "Don't talk like that about the Chancellor again... he was just deceived by that Sith who took him as an apprentice... he has always been like a father to me." , and he wants my help."

Padme didn't believe Palpatine anymore, but Anakin just came out with a noticeable anger.

Palpatine pretends to redeem himself from his dark and evil nature, intending to trick Anakin into freeing him on his own. Poor Anakin... he really wants to help Palpatine, however Palpatine will only use him as an instrument to destroy the Jedi order.
