Ch 84 The Search for Helena

Hogwarts, outside of the Forbidden Forest

It's been a few weeks since they entered the Ruins of the Forbidden Forest. Where they met the Giant that protected the Ruins,

However, they took that experience as a learning lesson. Now prepared, the New Trio and two Marauders stood before the entrance of the Forbidden Forest. Attempting to get past the Giant who guards the Ruins.

"So, run by me again Hermione. What's the plan here?" Cedric asked the bushy-haired Witch, wondering how they were going get past that Giant.

"Right, I'll go over the plan once more." Hermione turns to her Friends, explaining once more what the plan was.

"We know where the Ruins are, Helena's Wand there is evident enough that Helena was there at one point," Hermione explains as they enter the Forest, heading back to the Ruins.

The group tread carefully, keeping an eye out for the Giant that protects the Ruins. "We also know that the Giants that protect the Ruins are true. Last time we were unprepared for what it could do, the second one we don't know where it is, but it's there."

Ginny looks at Hermione, "So, what do we do about them?" She asked, wanting to know how, not reviewing what they learned.

"Considering that the first Giant can take away Magic, the only thing I could think of is drawing its attention to somewhere else," Hermione explained to the group before Cedric spoke up,

"Wait, you're saying that not all of us are going to find Helena." The bronze-haired Wizard said, having a feeling when Hermione explained the plan, they were not going to be together.

Hermione nodded, looking dissatisfied with the plan too. "Believe me, if we only have the right support. Both me and Professor Lupin would come up with something better." She stated,

Remus nodded, also feeling dissatisfied with their plan. "For now, only two can go and retrieve Helena while the rest stay and keep the Giant Dementor thing occupied." The Werewolf then looks over to Cedric, "Cedric, you and Ginny will have to stay here with me and distract that thing."

Ginny nodded, "Understood, Professor." She said, witnessing how powerful Dementor was when they encountered it last time. "But Professor, who do we send to get Helena?" She asked the Werewolf.

"It'll be me and Hermione," Sirius said, knowing the plan. "Me, being her Godfather, and Hermione as her closest Friends. Not that I think you and Helena are close, Ginny." He corrected himself to the red-haired Witch,

"But we need People here to know what happens to us when we enter the Ruins and Mirror," Sirius explains, trusting the three to do this simple request.

Hermione agreed, continuing after the Shaggy-haired Man. "Sirius is right, you three will be our backup in case we take a bit long." She explains to her two Friends. "We have a time limit for three days if we don't come back then…"

Cedric understands what the plan was. "Yeah, we head in, but what about the Dementor? If the distraction works then it won't work for us," The bronze-haired Wizard said, wanting to know what to do when the time limit is up. "Do you want us to get more People to help us?" He asked.

"Cedric's right, it's just the three of us when you leave," Ginny commented, agreeing with Cedric's statement.

Sirius, Remus, and Hermione know there's a risk in letting other People into their little mission. Unfortunately, they don't have any choice. "If we go above the time limit, then you need to find trustworthy People to help us," Sirius stated, wishing they would just keep this between them.

"Alright, seems like we've covered everything," Remus stated, already seeing the Ruins coming up to them. "And we're here." He informed the group,

They all stood behind the bush, looking at the old tree they were at. Beneath it was the opening that led to the Ruins underground,

Ginny looks around, searching for the Giant they encountered before. Her eyes then caught something floating above to the left. "(There, I found the Giant.)" She whispers, not wanting to gain it's attention.

"Regigrim -ZZZ- -ZZZ- Regigrim -ZZZ-" The Dark-type Giant floated to the left, almost like it was patrolling the entrance.

"(It didn't notice us.)" Remus sighs, relieved that it wasn't waiting for us. "(That means we can go with the plan.)" The Werewolf looks at Sirius, placing his hand on Sirius's shoulders. "(Sirius make sure you bring Pup back safe, alright?)" He said to him.

The Heir of Black nodded, getting serious about bringing Helena back home. "(Don't worry, we'll make sure that Helena comes back safe, you got my word, Remus.)" He said,

Remus got up from the ground, turning to both Ginny and Cedric. "(Alright you two, are you ready?)" The Werewolf asked his former Students.

The two nodded, getting up to join Remus in distracting the Giant. Remus, Cedric, and Ginny got into position to the right side while Sirius and Hermione got to the left, ready to move.

Remus saw the two in position, ready to run straight for the Ruin entrance. "Okay, they're in position. Let's make some noise, you two." He looks over to his former Students.

"Right, I've been practicing a Spell that might help distract the Giant," Cedric said, raising his Wand, ready to cast the Spell.

Ginny took out her Wand and also had a Spell in mind for the distraction. "I'm good at the Bat Bogey Hex. It could at least give both Sirius and Hermione a few more seconds with Cedric's Spell." The red-haired Witch said.

"And with my Patronus, it will give enough time for them to get inside the Ruins," Remus added, the three already set to proceed. "Ready you two?" He asked,

They nodded before Ginny caught a glimpse of something. "Professor, wait," She said, slowly getting up from the brush.

"Hermione! Ginny! Where the bloody hell you went off to!?" A very familiar voice called out for the two Witches.

Hermione's eyes widen while crouching down at who just appeared. "(What is Ron doing here!?)" She whispers a bit loudly,

Ron searches around for the two Girls and the pretty Boy, "Where are the-"

"-ZZZ- Regigrim, -ZZZ- Regi…" The Giant turns around, hearing Ron's voice projecting throughout the Forest. Its eyes caught Ron walking into the clearing, making him its target.

The red-haired Boy's eyes widen, staring directly at the Giant. "W-W-What in Merlin's bloody beard is that!?" Ron panics, drawing his Wand at it.

"-ZZZ- Regigrim, -ZZZ- Regigrim." The eyes flashed red, indicating it was ready to attack.

Ron was whimpering, falling back to the ground as he gazed up in fear.

Just when Regigrim was about to release his Attack, a voice cried out. "Bombarda!" A single Spell was cast on the Dark-type, exploding in its face.

"! Regigrim -ZZZ- Regigrim!" Regigrim turns to whoever cast that Explosion Charm, gaining its full attention.

Ron turns his head, seeing his Sister, Professor Lupin, and Cedric who just cast that Spell. "T-There you are! How dare you-"

"Ron, you idiot! Get out of here!" Ginny cried out to her Brother to leave before he got himself killed.

"Damnit, Bombarda!" Cedric cast another Spell at the Regi, drawing it over to them.

"This way, you bastard!" Remus cried out, waving his arms at it while Ginny cast her Hex at it.

Regigrim's eyes flashed before releasing a Dark beam at the three,

Ron was hyperventilating, not sure what was happening around him. "Forget this!" He spun around and ran back in the direction of Hogwarts, leaving the others behind.

Ginny scoffs, seeing her Brother run off back to Hogwarts. "Typical, Ron always flees when something he couldn't handle appears." The red-haired Witch groans, embarrassed by his actions.

"It doesn't matter now, Ginny," Cedric said, still casting the Explosion Spell at the Giant. "We've gotten the attention of the Giant, it's gone better than expected." The Hufflepuff stated, satisfied that the Giant was after them.

"Cedric's right, let's get going. Those two will take care of things from here on out." Remus said, leading the two away from the Ruins while being chased by Regigrim.

Back near the ruins, Hermione and Sirius slowly step out of the brush after that debacle. "Whether Ron appeared was a part of the plan or not, he has given us enough time to enter the Ruins," Sirius said, quickly heading to the entrance. "Anyways, let's head in before that thing comes back."

Hermione nodded, following Sirius into the ground, entering the underground Ruins.

Upon entering, the two were met by an Ancient Temple of sorts. Pillars had almost fallen apart, plants grew at every crack in the walls and floor, and the tree above them had its roots dangled down from the ceiling.

However, the most attention-grabbing thing present in the Ruins was the giant Mirror on the back wall. It has a faint glow in the glass, as for the glass itself, it was like a ripple in the water.

There were three other small lights, with images of Dragons in them. One was black, the other blue, and the last one pink, all connected to the mirror by a strange Symbol made from gold.

"Amazing, this ruin is over a hundred years old, or even more," Hermione commented, looking around the Ruins. "I've read many books about Ruins, but I've never seen anything like this before." She continued, feeling like she just discovered groundbreaking.

"That I can agree with you, Hermione," Sirius said, knowing what she meant. "It's different from just reading about it." He said,

Hermione walks over to the mirror, remembering something about it being a portal in the book. She placed her hand on the mirror, causing a small ripple. "This mirror, this must be the mirror Helena used to leave our World." She commented,

Sirius looks at the mirror, picturing Helena walking through the mirror. "Helena…" He said, feeling guilty for not protecting her like he promised James.

The shaggy-haired Wizard turns around, lowering his guard before seeing glowing red dots in a triangle staring down at her. "Um…Hermione, did we forget about the second Guardian?" Sirius asked, seeing a pink orb with Fairy Wings descending from the ceiling.

"That's right! It slipped my mind, where-GAH!" Hermione shouted, being caught off guard by the second Guardian. "I-It was here the whole time, waiting for us!?"

"Regi…Regifae -ZZZ- Regifae." The new Guardian's eyes glowed, staring down at the Wizard and Witch,

"I don't think it was waiting for us," Sirius informed the young Witch. "It's more like, it was waiting for any intruders to appear." The Wizard stated, seeing a small orb floating in front of the Giant.

"Regifae -ZZZ- Regifae." Regifae floated back, releasing pink winds at the intruders

Sirius's eyes widen, turning to Hermione. "Hermione!" He pushes her to the ground, near the mirror. He leaps forward, dodging the pink winds,

Hermione was inches away from the rippling glass, prompting her to look at Sirius. "Sirius, come on!" The young Witch calls for the Wizard,

Sirius tried to cast some Spells at Regifae, however, when he tried his Wand was working. "W-What? My Wand, it's not working." He said, never experienced anything like this before.

"Sirius!"

Sirius turns around to Hermione, standing near the mirror. "Go! Find Helena, I'll catch up with you, Hermione."' The Shaggy-haired Wizard shouted, dodging another pink wind.

Hermione looks around, unsure what to do at the moment. She then took a deep breath then looked at Sirius, "Okay, when I get to the other side, I'll look for Helena."

"Right, I'll catch up once I deal with this," The Wizard said, running towards a Pillar. "Just say hi to Helena when you get there for me." He smiles, seeing Hermione nods.

"Regifae -ZZZ- Regifae…" The Guardian turns around, seeing Hermione ready to step into the mirror. "Regifae!" The Giant floated up, its body began to glow.

Sirius took note of Regifae's attention was drawn to Hermione. He quickly turns to the bushy-haired Girl, calling out to her. "Hermione, watch out!" Sirius warns her.

The young Witch was about to step into the mirror when she heard Sirius call out to her. She turns around, seeing a pink beam hurling straight for her.

Hermione gasps, not even thinking for a second to jump into the mirror. She manages to leap inside the mirror in a split second, the beam hits the stone stairs before it gets a chance to strike her, but the attack causes her to drop her Wand to the ground.

Sirius smiles, seeing an opening for him to take. "No better time than the Present!" He made a run for the mirror, swiftly maneuvering Regifae's detection.

Regifae took note of Sirius, getting past it before attacking him. Sirius dodges each attack. It took at least a few minutes before

Sirius laughs, turning to the mirror. He looks back at the Giant, smirking at him. "Just a few minutes late, sucker!" He turns back to the mirror, leaping right inside, unaware that the mirror has bounced his Wand out of his hands.

Regifae's Attack once again hits the stone stairs, missing the Wizard by a hair.

Hoenn, Rustboro City

It's been a few months since the Masquerade Ball, and during those months many things have happened. The Dewford Town, Fortree City, and Sootoplis City's Gym Leader have decided to retire, with this, Blanche has called in Brawly to replace the previous Dewford Gym Leader and someone named Winona to take over Fortree City's vacant Gym Leader spot.

Juan has planned to retire for quite some time, wanting to focus on his artwork. Wallace took over once he returned a few weeks later after his announcement.

Speaking about Wallace, he came back quite accomplished. He won about three or more Contests, and his accomplishments were recognized by the Contest Committee made a special Contest that mimics Wallace's Journey, dubbing it the Wallace Cup.

Among other things that happened, Headmaster Kieth has decided to retire as Rustboro City's Gym Leader. He's still the Headmaster of the Pokemon Trainer School for the time, but the Rustboro Gym Leader position has been filled by Roxanne since she studied under him.

For Helena and N, Professor Ceder has been studying the Ancient Past of the Hoenn Region. Helena and N assisted him, gathering information from books, and often visited Mt. Pyre due to two elderly couples possessing two Stones from Ancient Hoenn.

Helena has taken over the Class whenever her Mentor was out to Mt. Pyre to gather Data. Adam often sends the data back to Helena so she can study it herself since it's a part of her subject of study.

Through Professor Ceder's Data and Ancient writing, she came across something intriguing. She discovered that, like Hisui there were Pokemon who had an Ancient Forms of Pokemon in her Home Region as well.

From what she researched, she found out that other than the regular Hoenn Starters there were other Pokemon People brought over from other Regions. These Pokemon were Piplup, Snivy, and Fennekin,

There were also Pokemon with similar descriptions to Modern Day Pokemon, but different compared to them. She managed to uncover a few of these Ancient forms of these Pokemon,

A Hoothoot with white feathers and a Noctowl with blue crystal-like horns,

A Lapras that resembles a small island with plants growing on its shell,

A curse tomb said to house a Hundred and eight souls,

An Aegislash that glows a radiant light,

Finally, a Lycanroc with black and white fur.

With these new discoveries, working in the Trainer School's Laboratory meant for Children and Student trainers isn't the ideal place to do their Research. However, Adam has a solution to this predicament.

"Well, this is it." Adam smiles, standing before a Forested area, just beyond the North Rustboro Gate. "The old Daycare House, has at least five bedrooms, a kitchen of course, three bathrooms, a Battlefield, and a field that connects to the Trainer School." He said to his Students, turning to face them.

Helena stepped forward, looking up at the old Daycare House, it was covered with plants in every small corner. The lawn was filled with weeds and overgrown grass, even the stone path was covered with grass. "The old Daycare looks like it hasn't been used for a while, Professor." She commented.

N was with his Sister, taking a look at the yard. "Is there any reason why the old Daycare is like this, Professor Ceder?" The green-haired Daycare Attendant asked his Mentor, curious how a former Daycare became abandoned.

The blue and blonde-haired Professor ponders, trying to remember why the old Daycare House was abandoned. "I don't recall that much, but I do believe the Headmaster said that this place was rather far for a Daycare before the Daycare was added to the School," Adam explains to the two, walking up to the porch.

"Though that was five years ago," Adam took out the Key to the Daycare House, heading for the double doors. "I'm not sure how time has been good to this place. The wood might be rotten, and titles are broken among other things."

Adam paused as they entered the Daycare, "Oh, and another thing. Do not turn on the lights or other appliances. The wiring might be old," The Professor warns his Students.

"Got it, but considering the look of this place, Professor. I don't think we can use this place until it gets repaired." N spoke, taking note there were some broken windows. "Based on what I see, it'll be a week or so-"

Suddenly, a tree branch fell from the roof, breaking through the flooring. Helena took a look at the new damaged floor and then looked up at the roof. "Make that more than a week, N," Helena commented,

"Eh, you get what you get," Adam stated, shrugging his shoulders before continuing. "In any case, let's clear some things and assess the damages." He said, taking out his Pokeball, and releasing Leafeon to assist.

Helena and N nodded, releasing their Pokemon to assist with the cleanup of the old Daycare.

Helena brought out, Kirlia, Dratini, Hattrem, Eevee, Ponyta, and her newest Pokemon, Snom.

N brought out Zoroark, Archeops, Kling Klang, and Vanilluxe, plus two new Pokemon he added. A Gallade evolved from a Kirlia he found during his trip with Professor Ceder at Mt Pyre, and his final Pokemon on his team was a Ninetales he helped out when the School received poached Pokemon to care for.

Ninetales decided to stay with N after being well taken care of. N at first wasn't too keen on taking her since he still getting used to having Pokemon come willingly to join him, but he's open to learning.

Helena claps her hands, gaining everyone's attention. "Okay everyone, we'll be quite busy this week," She announces to their Pokemon, "This place will be our new home and it's in shambles. The only way to call this place our perfect home is to work together."

Everyone cheered, agreeing with the small pep talk from Helena. They're all determined to make this place a proper home for them,

N turns to his Mentor, curious about something. "Professor, when we finish with this place; is it possible to have the rest of our Pokemon live here instead of the Pokemon Center's ranch?" The former King of Team Plasma asked.

Adam nodded, answering the young Daycare taker. "Yes, this place is still considered a Daycare, so it's very possible to have your Friends live here." The blue and blonde-haired Professor said, "In fact, I believe there's enough room at the back for a small house for your Pokemon,"

The green-haired trainer smiles, relieved that they are able to have the rest of their Pokemon here. "That's great to hear," N said before seeing Helena taking a broom with Kirlia and Gallade assisting her.

"We better go and help Helena, N. We cannot let her do the work on her own," Adam smiles, patting his Student on the back.

"No, I guess we cannot." N smiles, walking over to his Sister to help her to build their new Home,

AN: How do you like it? Hermione will come first because she entered the mirror first and time passes a bit faster. Anyways, please leave a comment or review.
