Foreword: Time for the Z-fighters to meet the new Bansuri.

Dende was looking over the world under the guidance of Popo when he felt Bansuri leave the time chamber and despite surpressing their energy, Dende could sense that Bansuri had gotten way stronger, to the point Dende could confidently say that Bansuri had become the strongest of Earth's defenders at least in raw power.

Dende wasn't the only one to sense Bansuri as anyone that had Yardrat Spirit Control training could sense the surpressed power Bansuri held and while the human z-fighters, Goku and Gohan were impressed and amazed at Bansuri's growth, Vegeta felt a sense of dread. Vegeta remembered that he had earned Bansuri's ire prior to the Namekian going into the time chamber and quietly hoped that Bansuri had either forgotten or decided revenge wasn't worth it. Everyone that could sense however noticed a distinct absence of another energy, Piccolo.

Dende: "...Oh! Piccolo is now part of you."

Bansuri: "Neither of us wanted to be reliant on someone else without a means of doing something ourselves. So, we came to an agreement."

Dende: "Understandable"

Gohan, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha and Chiaotzu teleported to the Lookout and looked surprised then silently respectful towards Bansuri at Piccolo no longer standing beside them. Bansuri gave a thankful nod at the sentiment and gave a questioning look at the group.

Gohan: "Oh! Father is with mother um, 'making the most of things' before the Cell Games, a tournament against Cell for the fate of the planet"

Bansuri: "Ah. And what of Vegeta and Trunks?"

Gohan: "Still training in the Gravity Chamber and trying to get Super Saiyan 2"

Bansuri: "And likely hoping I won't remember Vegeta's poor choices?"

Everyone present gave a look that said that was a fair point before Bansuri smirked, making everyone nervous. Bansuri used his telepathy to make sure his next statement is heard by Vegeta.

Bansuri: "Vegeta? After Cell is dealt with, you and I are going to sort things out."

Vegeta suddenly became pale in the Gravity Chamber, concerning Trunks a great deal before he realized that Bansuri probably said something about how he remembered what his father did and decided to take a break from training. He was getting kinda hungry anyway, Trunks not noticing his father reaching out and failing to call out to his son for more training so he could handle whatever Bansuri was going to do to him.

Vegeta: "...I am so screwed..."

16 was sat on the workbench and looking toward the newly revealed power and the energies gathering to meet this new energy. With Bulma seeming unphased by the sudden disappearance of Gohan, 16 figured she knew what was happening.

Android 16: "My sensors detect a large concentration of energy in that direction. Do you know the cause?"

Bulma paused what she was doing and saw the general direction 16 was pointing in and knew that Kami's Lookout was in that direction from Bansuri informing her where it is earlier on.

Bulma: "Oh, that way would be the Lookout and if you're picking up a bunch of energy from that way, that means Bansuri is out of the training room up there and the others have gone to meet them. Has Vegeta's energy moved?"

16 paused to sense if the energies belonging to Vegeta and Trunks have moved and found that their energies where still in the proximity.

Android 16: "Vegeta's energy has not left the building"

Bulma: "Then it's definitely Bansuri you're picking up now"

As if called into attendance, Bansuri appeared at Bulma's side with a smirk.

Bansuri: "Hello Bulma, Gohan told me about 16's upgrades and that our mechanical friend here is way stronger"

Bulma: "Yep, wanna test his energy absorbing function?"

Bansuri: "Sure, take this outside?"

Bulma: "Yes please and teleport right back so I can run system diagnostics and make sure there's no issues"

Bansuri nodded and beckoned the Android to stand beside him and when 16 complied Bansuri put a hand on 16 and teleported 16 to the Capsule Corp explosives machine testing area. Android 16 blinked and looked around, trying to get their bearings.

Android 16: "We have moved more than a kilometer away from our previous location in under a second. This is teleportation?"

Bansuri: (Nods) "Yes it is. So, are you ready to take a ki blast?"

16 nods and gets into a braced stance with the absorbing domes on his hands facing Bansuri. Bansuri nods at this showing of readiness and produces a ball of energy the size of a grape fruit and wills the orb to move slowly toward 16's absorbing hands. After the ki ball was absorbed, Bansuri teleported 16 back to Bulma and watched as she applied stick on sensors and saw on the computer that 16's power had increased by half their current total. Both Bulma and 16 gawked at the incredible reading from a single energy attack then turned to look at Bansuri who didn't even look winded.

Bulma: "Man...you must have gotten some serious gains in the Time Chamber..."

Bansuri: "I did. By the way, I have an odd request if you would hear it"

Bulma: "Oh yeah? What's the request?"

Bansuri: "After Cell is dealt with I would like to spend a year with Vegeta in the chamber to hopefully curb his arrogence issues."

Bulma: "So that's just a day outside the chamber, right?"

Bansuri: (Nods)

Bulma: "You can have him for 2 days if you can get him to say 'Please' and 'Thank you'"

Bulma gave Bulma a surprised look before looking contemplative.

Bansuri: "...I can't promise a miracle, but I can certainly try"

Bulma: "Eh, good enough."

Bansuri: "...You do know that he's going to be taking a lot of hits, right?"

Bulma: "I figured as much."

Bansuri: "...Risking everyone's lives?"

Bulma: (Nods) "Risking everyone's lives"

Bansuri: "Fair enough, I'm going to teach the new Guardian Dende how to be the best he can be. See you later?"

Bulma: "Yeah see you later"

Bansuri put two fingers to his forehead to use Instant Transmission but hesitated a moment before leaving.

Bansuri: "See you later 16...You too Vegeta"

Bansuri vanished from his spot and a very pale looking Vegeta appeared from around the doorway looking at Bulma with dismay.

Bulma: "What? Yelling didn't seem to get the point across for risking everyone's lives so I'm getting Bansuri to kick your ass"

Vegeta: "...Would saying sorry help?"

Bulma: "Would saying sorry take away Cell's power?"

There was a moment of silence before Vegeta simply muttered sorry and walked away, leaving Bulma to continue working with Android 16 who was currently glad to not have Bulma's ire as Android 16 made a permanent mental note not to aggitate Bulma.

The rest of the week prior to the Cell Games was occupied by training for the humans as well as Vegeta and Trunks, resting for Goku and Gohan, and teaching for Bansuri to give Dende the ability to be the best Guardian of earth he can be. Bansuri had the knowledge of both Kami and Guru to share with Dende and the teaching affinity of Piccolo and Nail with the latter's knowledge allowing Bansuri to understand the best way to teach Dende specifically.

Bansuri: "I believe I can impart the ability to awaken dormant power on to you so you don't need to wait until you're at least 300 to use it"

Dende: "Really?! That's incredible!"

Bansuri nodded and beckoned Dende to stand closer, Dende obeying and getting close enough for Bansuri to place a hand on top of Dende's head. Bansuri smiled at Dende and proceeded to unleash the dormant power sleeping within the younger Namekian, Dende being surprised and instinctively able to tell that he could now perform the Awakening ability Guru had.

Dende: "T-this is amazing!"

Bansuri: "I suspect that all Dragon Clan Namekians have this power within them from birth, it's simply that it takes a while to tap into it without help."

Dende: "Hmm, you may be right about that..."

Bansuri: "...By the way, I have an odd question for you"

Dende: "I will answer if I am able"

Bansuri: "Do you know of an...extra energy within Namekians?"

Dende: "Extra energy?"

Bansuri: "In the time chamber, during times of deep meditation in the last few months in there I felt a spark of something I can't really put into words and I haven't been able to make contact with."

Dende: "I can't really say I've heard of such a thing... Sorry"

Bansuri: "It's alright, it's just something I noticed within myself and within the aspects of the other Namekians I am fused with. I also noticed that this extra energy was slightly more plentiful within the Kami and Guru aspects of myself. When you have time, deeply meditate and focus beyond your ki to see if you can spot this energy in yourself. I also noticed the energy reacts to Guru's power awakening ability so it should react to yours should you find it."

Dende: "Despite the fact I've never heard of this and your Guru aspect isn't certain of it either, I can still try to look into this. Thank you for informing me of this"

Bansuri: "No problem Dende. Care to learn how to fight?"

Dende: "While I'm sure it would be helpful, I believe I'll wait until Cell isn't lurking about"

Bansuri: "Fair enough"

A comfortable silence once again fell on the Lookout, the two Namekians meditating and trying to parse this discovered energy and what it could mean. Will the Z-fighters be able to rid the world of Cell? Or will the world be destroyed by the Gero's masterpiece? Find out next time on Some Help.
