CH 2
The villages help the new comers and got them settle in and help the one who are sick. Then men help with building new homes in area not far from the village while the women tend to the gardens, cooking and feeding the men. Janet notice that one of the women who was helping her and Sam with the sick was giving them all blue colour water
"What that you giving them?"
"This will heal them, I make it up my self"
"What is it"
"Juices from a rear fruit, and juices from plants"
"Ok, thank you"
"You're welcome, my name is Jan"
"That an earth name"
"The tok'ra who was here, when a new baby was born she was ask to give them names"
"Well my name is Janet, please to meet you Jan"
"You to Janet, and your friend over there?" she look over and sam
"That Sam"
"Isn't that a man name?"
"Short for Samantha"
"Ah, I under stand"
"How old are you?"
"I do not under stand age?"
"Where we come from there is three hundred and sixty five days for one year so one earth year is one year old"
"How old are you Janet?"
"I'm thrifty seven years old"
"Well from what you told me I'm two hundred and seven years old" Janet eyes almost pop out of her head
"What, wow, how did you all stay so young?"
"We never grow old, our leader he is almost five hundred years old, he is the oldest out of all of us every one here lives to be thousand years old, the oldest they dies is thousand and four, the youngest is nine hundred and forty two"
"Have you seen many people come here that look old like the Colonel?"
"Yes one of the men with mark on his head, when he came here he was old and now he is young"
"How come this is a small village?"
"There are other villagers, some are in the trees"
"Wow, is there any thing else I should know about?"
"In few days time there is flowers that grow and bloom, they got a sweet smell but when they bloom they let out a sweet smell which cause all the women to find a man and mate with him"
"What all women"
"Only the ones who are not with child, the flower bloom for ten days, the women kiss the man she wants and she takes him to her home, all the couple do is mate and drink in that time"
"Wow, I'll have to inform the colonel this so he can warn every one, is that why they trying to get all the homes build in time before it happens?"
"Yes"
"What about the children?"
"The younger ones are moved to a village not far from here where they stay there for the ten days with the women who are already with child to look after them"
"Ok, thanks, how long before the sun goes down?"
"Long time, you and your people just arrived after sun rise"
"Ok" they carry on looking after the sick then they went out side.
Sam help with the cooking while Janet help Jan with making more of the blue juice since she was almost out of it. Every one stoped when it was lunchtime for food and Drinks. Janet spoke to Jacob and Jake about what she lean so far, they were shock with what they lean. During lunch Daniel check out the wall to find out who the tok'ra was. When he saw the tok'ra name and the marks she left on the wall he was shock when he added them all up. He went to find Jacob and Jack.
"Jack"
"Daniel"
"I know whom the tok'ra is that was here"
"Who?"
"Nigeria and from the marks, she was here for over twenty years before Ra came and got her"
"That must of happen after Selmac was born?" Jacob said
"It talk about green water that the host drank since she was ill"
"Perhaps Jan might know some thing about it"
"Who Jan?"
"The one who talking to Carter and doc" Daniel look around and found them.
"Oh" then turns back to Jack
"Get this she twice old as Teal'c"
"What, no way?"
"Yep"
Jack got all the SG teams together and he got Janet to tell them what he told her, they were all shock and knew that they have a lot of work to do. After lunch, the men went back to work, all of the homes that was being built were all log homes with clay slate roof that some of the women make out of clay and cook each slate. As the sun was starting to go down, all of the men went down to the rived to bath Jack notice how small and shallow it is and he could see fish in it that made him smile. When the men from the village took their clothes off
"Come don't be afraid, we are all men here"
"Yeah well we are use to privacy"
"Don't be you are among friends"
They all took there clothes off and follow the men into the shell river they went up to Jack knee when he was walking in he felt sand under his feet, then they watch the others sit down cross legged and stat to wash them selves. So the others join them, they all sat down cross-legged and they notice the waterfall stop
"What going on?" jack asked, then he felt the water starting to warm up
"What the"
"How long dose the last?" Daniel asked
"Till the sun is gone over the hill then the water will cool down then the water fall will begin again"
"Then where is the water go for the mean time?"
"It goes to other villages, we have set it up so the water can go there before there was build up and when it started following again. It comes out all at once and it use to wipe out our crops till after to tok'ra came and told us what we can do so it won't happen again. She saved our crops and make it easy for the other villages to get water, saving them walking up the hills every day to get it"
"The tok'ra you speak of her name is Nigeria she it the tok'ra queen" the men there were shock when they heard Selmac speck for the first time
"Who are you?"
"My name is Selmac of the tok'ra my host name is Jacob Carter"
"Nigeria saved our lives, she told our ancestors about the Goa'uld and what they are like, she was the one who save our ancestors from the one called Ra"
"What, what happen"
"There a story from long ago that our ancestors was taken from a planet, Ra had plans of making them all carry demons in side of there guts, like what you got now" he look at Bra'tac and Teal'c.
"When she saw what he was doing to the young children she knew she had to stop it. When the ship stop she got all the ones she can on to a smaller ship like the two you had and brought them here, she saved their lives. They brought food with them, when the ship was attack she manage to land the ship and every one got off it before it exposed. It took them three days before they reach here and this where the first homes were built. The day the big ship came, she told them to hid in the woods till the ship was gone, that was the last time a ship came till many moons ago when these men ship crash, they been here every since, till you arrived"
"Aaron" Daniel found out that earlier that was the guy name.
"That is interesting and from what Janet and Sam told us and what we saw, your ancestor came from earth"
"How do you know of this?" Daniel told them about what happen years ago when Ra was on earth, every thing. By that time the water was starting to go cold, so they all got out when they all saw towel like cloths and clean clothes waiting for them
"The women wait till we all sitting down before they come and change out clothes"
"Ah, thanks for telling us that" Daniel said.
"Aaron is there a swimming hole or is it all shallow?"
"Swimming hole what is a swimming hole?"
"It a deep hole filled with water where you can swim" Daniel said,
"No we don't have one"
"Ok would you like for us to make one and teach you all how to swim?"
"It fun swimming" Daniel said,
"If you can, thank you" they all walk back to the village to where the women and children are. Jack notice Sam was check soil, so he walked over to her.
"Carter what are you doing?"
"Enjoy you bath sir?" she said smiling at him
"Yes, what are you doing"
"Checking this soil sample, you not going to believe what we got here sir"
"What"
"Fertiliser"
"Fertiliser?" he raised an eyebrow
"Yes sir, that is why the fruit and vegetables are do big and I also found some of this" he pass her a small bottle
"Is that naqadah?"
"Yes sir, not much of it, they use it to blow trees over for fire wood and build homes"
"Ah"
"Jack, Sam come on dinner ready" Daniel called out Sam put every thing away and they walk over to where every one was sitting on the ground eating dinner.
"Carter any chance of making a bomb big enough to blow a hole in the river since it is shallow?"
"Sure, I'll use one of the grenades we got here"
"Ok, work on it tomorrow"
"Yes sir" they got some food and sat down some where and eat it.
"What we need here is picnic tables" jack said to Jacob
"We should talk to Aaron about it in the morning"
"Good idea" Later that night every one got a place to sleep.
The next morning Jack spoke to Aaron and the other elders of the village about swimming hole and picnic tables for our side use, they all agree to the idea. Sam work on the bomb while Jack got SG2 and six to start working on the picnic tables. Just before lunch there was a exposition, every one look to where the water fall is when they saw water rising up in the air and back down again.
"Sam" jacks said next to Jacob
Before dropping the tool and ran over to where the waterfall is with Jacob and some of the others in tow. When he got there he saw the size of the hole; it was thirty meters wide and twenty meters long. they don't know how deep it is. Jack look around for Sam, he was worried about her, then Jacob and some of the others showed up
"Sam" jack yelled out Jacob raised an eye brow cause he has known jack to call Sam Carter or Major
"Over here" they heard her say. Jack ran down the river till he saw her throwing fish onto the side of the bank, she had her boots and socks off and pants rolled up
"Give me a hand with this fish please" as she throw another two more out of the river. Some of the men went in and help Sam collect the dead fish. Then take it into the village
"Well at left we got fish for dinner" Sam walked out of the river, she saw the look of worried over Jack face.
"Are you ok?"
"Yes sir"
"I was worried after that exposition, I though"
"Hey" she put her hand on his arm
"Every thing is ok, I'm fine, really"
"That good, I was" then he pulled her into a hug. Sam saw her father smile at her and got every one to leave them alone for few minutes.
"Every thing is going to be ok Sir" he pulled back
"Call me Jack"
"Sir"
"I'll make that an order" she smiled
"Ok Jack so long as you call Me Sam and you better order the others so the same if we are going to be here a long time" he smile,
"Sure, nice hole"
"Thanks, we better get back to work"
"Ok see you at lunch"
"Ok Jack"
He walk back to where their homes were being built, while Sam put her socks and boots on before heading back to the village. Over the next three days eighty homes were complete since they had more help from other villages when they heard about them arriving on the planet. They even use parts of the two-tel'tac to help make goblets, plates, knifes for cutting fruit and vegetables up.
