Classes were more normal than one would expect for a Hero school. For this second day, 1-A went through English classes with Present Mic. "All right, everybody. Hands up. Show me some spirit!" shouted Mic, trying to liven up the bored students.

Easy to say, Maeve became Mic's favorite student since she could respond to every question.

Then came lunchtime.

"... Are you crying, Maeve?" Asked Kirishima.

"... N-*sniff*-No" Said Maeve in response. Ever since she came to this world, she wasn't able to buy nice food because of her financial situation. The food in the cafeteria was both amazing and fairly priced, so Maeve could buy food there without problems.

Maeve looked at Lunch Rush, the hero in charge of the Cafeteria. "You are my hero" Said Maeve, a tear rolling down her left eye.

"I'm glad you like the food!" Said Lunch Rush.

Then it was time for the shitshow…

"I'm… Coming through the door like a normal person!" Said All Might, bursting through the door.

'The big guy himself is here… He does look kind of cool, I didn't get to see much when he was peeking yesterday'

The number one hero proceeded to explain the purpose of the class while flexing his muscles. "No time to dally. Today's activity is battle training!" he said. "And for that… You need these!" A click sounded in the classroom, and then from the wall came out cases with numbers.

""Costumes!"" ""YEAAAAAHH!""

A small smile appeared on Maeve's face, she was waiting for this. Her costume wasn't really original, but with the body she is in, it would be a shame not to use it.

"After you change, come out in ranking order to ground beta!" Said the 8th holder.

""YES!""

Maeve entered ground beta. "That's your hero costume?" asked Kirishima.

"Yep, is there a problem with it?" The costume consisted of a black business suit with a red shirt, a black necktie, a pair of shoes that while uncomfortable looking, were quite comfy, a pair of black gloves, and a gray trench coat that went a bit lower than her knees. Every piece of the costume was made with resistant material, and every piece was inscribed with runes.

(A.N: Search up "Bazett Fraga McRemitz" or "Manannan Mac Lir" and look for the Fgo wiki page. The costume is in the first image. God, she's so badass…)

"Just imagine you are a villain, wrecking chaos and allat, then a girl in a damned business suit just pulls up and beats you up," Maeve let Kirishima simmer in the idea.

"... That… is really manly!" Said Kirishima, now more excited about the idea. "Also, what's that in your back?"

"It's a container for something. It's a secret what's In there" Maeve said, indicating the cilíndrical container on her back, receiving an "ohh" from Kirishima.

Maeve looked around the place, looking at everyone's costume… "I guess the norm is skin-tight or revealing Costumes… Though I guess in Yaoyorozu's case it makes sense." Said Maeve, deciding to look anywhere else but the girls. "Holy shit. Ida's costume is so cool." Maeve walked up to Ida, leaving Kirishima who went to talk to the other classmates.

"Hey, Tenya! Cool costume, the armor looks badass." Complimented Maeve.

"Thanks for the compliment, Brennan! Your costume also looks good. Ida is okay, by the way. This costume is kind of like a family tradition," said Ida.

"Family of heroes?" Asked Maeve "Maeve's also fine then"

"Yes. We all share the same quirk. My brother is the pro hero Ingenium!" Said the young hero.

'Huh, I didn't remember that,' "That's really cool"

"Shall we begin, my wards?! It's time for battle training!" Said All Might. He began to explain how the exercise would work, which was basically some kind of protect the point kind of exercise. There would be a Villain and a Hero team, the villain team would protect a fake bomb inside a building, and the Hero team has to either capture both Villains or touch the bomb to win. The teams would be decided by lots.

"Team G…" Muttered Maeve.

"You would be with me then," Said a girl. Her costume consisted of a black leather jacket with a salmon-colored shirt, black pants, and boots. From her earlobes hung a cord with an earphone plug. The girl in question was Kyouka Jirou.

"Well, glad to make a team with you, Kyouka, you can call me Maeve" Said Maeve, extending a hand to Jirou.

"Just Jirou is fine, Maeve" Said Jirou.

"Moving on, first up are… These!" All Might took two balls from two boxes labeled Hero and Villain. "The heroes are Team A, and the villains are Team D!"

"Ohh, this will be fun to watch." Said Maeve

"Yeah, even from here you can see the animosity Bakugo has for Midoriya. This should be a fun watch." Said Jirou.

"How about we familiarize ourselves with each other's quirks while we wait?" Asked Maeve.

"Good idea. My Quirk is" Earphone Jack". I have these earphone plugs and cords hanging from my earlobe, I can connect them to things and hear through them, I can also project my heartbeat as an attack, and I can extend them and move them at will. In general, I can hear better than most." Jirou said.

"That sounds useful… Mine is called "Runecraft", I can inscribe runes into anything, and these runes will have certain properties, like putting something on fire, or enhancing someone's strength, speed, or durability. Really I can do a lot of things with these runes." Maeve took a marker from the inside pockets of her trench coat. "I can either draw these runes with my fingers for a duration of 30 seconds or draw them with a marker for a longer duration," Maeve said.

"... Wow, that is incredibly versatile. would it be okay if you use some runes on me? Something that can make me hear better maybe?" She asked.

"I have a limit of 20 runes at a time, but I only ever use 8 at all times, so it shouldn't be a problem. Give me the plug." Maeve said, and Jirou extended her earplug to Maeve. She then wrote the Hagalaz rune on it. "This rune enhances basically everything related to the appendage or object inscribed in. Should we wait for our turn to test how it works? I have never used runes to enhance an extra appendage." She said.

"Yeah, let's wait. I'm really looking forward to this fight." Kyouka said with a grin.

The fight between Bakugo and Midoriya went exactly how the Anime version did. "Seeing Midoriya's arm like that wasn't pleasant…" Maeve said.

"Yeah… I think I'll have nightmares of that." Jirou said.

"Then for the next fight, we have! Team G as the Heroes and Team J as the Villains!" All Might said, showing two balls with the letters G and J.

"Guess it's our turn, Maeve." The punk girl said.

"Let's go, we'll test how the runes work with you when we get there, " Maeve said.

"So they all work?" Maeve asked.

"Yeah, I can definitely hear way better than normal. My heartbeat attack should also be way stronger" Jirou said. She currently has six runes on her body. Four Hagalaz runes on her earplugs and ears, and two Isaz runes on the soles of her boots. Maeve had the usual eight physical runes plus two Isaz on her shoes.

"BATTLE START" Resounded the voice of All Might.

"Let's go!" Said Maeve, receiving a nod from Jirou.

Jirou inserted one of her jacks into the building. "I hear two people on the 5th floor, one of them is moving. I think they are standing in the hallway of the room with the Bomb. The other presence is staying in the room." Jirou said

"Probably Kirishima is staying in the room as a last defense. We should expect traps from Sero" Maeve said. "How do we approach this? We could either just go through the door, or I can carry you and jump to either the 4th or 5th floor." Said Maeve.

"You can jump all the way there?" Asked d Jirou, receiving a nod from Maeve.

"I should first get rid of the window, then I can carry you up." She said.

"Hmm… Let's do that then" Said Jirou.

Maeve and Jirou moved to the back of the building, then Maeve jumped to the 5th floor using Algiz, and Isaz to mute the sound they would make. 'Hmm… I can see a hallway with another away perpendicular to it… Sero should be there.' Maeve proceeded to quietly remove the Window. Then she jumped back down, using Slow Falling to lessen the fall. "Window removed, I couldn't see Sero, but that should be because he's in the Hallway perpendicular to the one I entered," Maeve said.

"Great, how do we do this, then?" Jirou asked.

"I'll carry you, then I'll land on the doorframe, easy as that. You don't mind a princess carry?" Maeve asked.

Jirou thought about it for a moment. "... Yeah, it's no problem." She said. Maeve then proceeded to carry Jirou, then she took a couple of steps back, and jumped, landing soundless on the doorframe. "There we go, talk quietly," Said Maeve in a low voice setting Jirou on the ground.

"Ok…" Jirou put one of her plugs on the wall. "They are in that hallway," She said, indicating with her finger.

Maeve nodded. "... I'll take out whoever is in the hallway first, meanwhile use your heartbeat attack to mess with the one in the room," she said, receiving a nod from Jirou.

Maeve walked and peeked into the hallway, Sero was there with his back turned, and beside him was the entrance to the room. Maeve positioned herself in the hallway and prepared for a tackle. With her fingers, she counted for Jirou. '3…2…1' Maeve used Algiz to propel herself and tackled Sero.

"Ack! From where?!" Yelled Sero.

"Stop there, Hero!" Yelled Kirishima from the room, but before he could jump into action, a loud sound reverberated on the floor, "Ahhh! My ears!" Kirishima yelled, clutching his ears with his hands.

Maeve rapidly used the cuffs to capture Sero.

"Sero is out!"

Maeve turned her attention to the bomb room, Kirishima was still clutching his ears from the sound, and the room was covered in Sero's tape. 'Too tricky to go for the bomb, I should take out Kirishima then' She thought. "Jirou! Enter the room and go for the bomb! I'll hold Kirishima!" She yelled.

Maeve propelled herself at Kirishima, intending to hit him in the stomach, but he hardened his arm and covered it before she could hit. "Agh! You hit hard!" He yelled. Maeve then went for a kick from the side, which was barely blocked by him.

Kirishima went for a punch in the face, but before he could hit, Maeve grabbed him by the arm and threw him to the side. He quickly stood up and charged at Maeve and again tried to deliver a punch, which was blocked by her arms in an X, before he launched another punch with his left, which landed on her cheek.

The attack was rapidly emulated by Maeve, who attacked with her right arm while she grabbed Kirishima's right arm with her left hand.

Meanwhile, Jirou was struggling to reach the bomb, but she was almost there.

"I wanted to fight you for a while, Maeve!" Kirishima said, delivering a right jab, which was blocked. "You are amazing! So manly!"

"You should be careful saying stuff like that to women!" Maeve said, doing a left hook, which was also blocked. "Good thing I don't mind! I also wanted to fight you!"

Maeve punched Kirishima, activating Hagalaz for extra strength. "You got stronger?! That's crazy!" He said with a big grin on his face. He tried to punch her in the stomach, but his arm was grabbed, and Maeve used the opportunity to punch him in the stomach. "Ack!" He yelled and was sent back.

He tried to stand up but was stopped by the sound of a horn.

"BOMB HAS BEEN CAPTURED! HERO TEAM WINS!"

"Hahh…" Maeve plopped on the ground. "That was great!" She said.

"It was! I'm so glad I got to fight you!" Kirishima said.

Maeve gave him a peace sign, then looked at the Jirou. "How are you doing there, Jirou?" She asked.

She had multiple pieces of tape stuck to her body. "Peachy," she said in a sarcastic tone.

All Might suddenly entered the room, carrying Sero. "Well done, younglings! That was a great battle! Let me take you back to the observer room." He said, before taking Kirishima and disappearing from the room, then appearing again and taking Jirou and Maeve.

By the time All Might delivered the two to the monitor room, everyone was already excitedly talking with Kirishima and Sero, before their attention was channeled to Maeve and Jirou. All four of them lined up.

"Then, young heroes. Who was the M.V.P in this battle?" Asked All Might to the class. A hand was raised.

"Yes, Young Asui?" All Might said.

"It would be Brennan. She devised a simple but effective that took advantage of the field, opting to jump straight to the 5th floor without being noticed." She said.

"Well said, Young Asui! But don't count Young Jirou out just yet! Young Brennan could not have done the same strategy if it wasn't for Jirou! Her hearing was vital for early reconnaissance, while also giving her enough time to capture Young Sero without being bothered by his teammate!" The 8th holder said.

'This "young" thing is getting old fast…' Maeve thought.

"Well done, young heroes! Now, for the next battle!..."

Maeve was currently watching the fight between Mina and Yuga versus Rikido and Denki. "Just because his cape got burned…?" She said.

"That may be a bit of an exaggeration… I wonder if he's ok? That scream was chilling…" Jirou said.

"By the way, how big was the enhancement with my runes? I'm still trying to figure out that part of my Quirk" Maeve asked.

"Hmm… I feel like I could have heard Sero and Kirishima without your runes, but not as clearly as with them. The clarity was honestly amazing, I could hear even their softest steps, a bit more, and maybe even their heartbeats" Kyouka said.

"That's good to hear," Maeve said, making a mental note of her classmate's observation.

"By the way, what is in there? I didn't see you use it at all during the fight" Jirou asked, pointing with her finger at the case hanging from Maeve's back.

"This?... It is kind of a "Last resort" of sorts… I really didn't intend to use it in the trial, but I thought it would be nice to get used to carrying it everywhere. What it actually is I will keep a secret though… But maybe it won't be long until I show it," Maeve responded, thinking about the U.S.J. arc that would be coming soon. 'I don't feel comfortable using Fragarach in the eyes of the main villains, but if it comes to that, I shouldn't hesitate,' She thought. 'Cutting power will be crucial for the fight against the Nomu… Though I wonder if a Fragarach would actually kill it?'

Fragarach at its purest is an attack to the heart, which for most enemies would mean an instant death… but Maeve doesn't remember enough about the U.S.J. Nomu to know if an attack directly piercing its heart would actually kill it. 'It should be able to buy some time though…'

~Next day~

Maeve was currently walking towards the U.A. gates. From the distance, she could see a mob of reporters huddled at the gate. She tried to pass through the mob, but when they noticed her, the reporters started asking a multitude of questions.

"How is All Might as a teacher?" "Tell us about All Might as a teacher." "How do you feel having the symbol of peace as a teacher?"

All of these questions were promptly ignored by Maeve, who didn't want to bother with reporters. That was when one of them grabbed her by the arm and tried to pull her back. "... You really did that did you? Are you a complete idiot?" Maeve said.

"How is All Might as a teacher?" The reporter asked.

Maeve grabbed the microphone and turned it off. "If you dare do that again, I swear I'll sue you for assault. If I'm ignoring you it's for a reason," she said, giving back the microphone to the reporter. "Don't bother me. I have classes." With that, she walked to the gate, ignoring the stunned reporter, but not before looking to her right and seeing a mop of white hair, looking straight at the gate. "..." The person, Shigaraki, looked back at her, then back at the gate. Maeve just kept walking to the gate, not having enough heart to deal with what she saw just yet.

"Good work with Yesterday's battle training. I've looked over your grades and evaluations." Aizawa said, then started calling each student to point out things, or just congratulating them in rare cases. "Brennan." Maeve looked at Aizawa. "You did well, though I know you could've done more, considering what I saw during the entrance exam. Maybe you did not think about it at the moment, but I still want you to take that into consideration. Either way, you did a good job in your trial," He said.

"Yes," Maeve responded. 'He's right… Using a lance from Fragarach was not an option at that moment because of the number of runes left, but maybe I could have burned some tape pieces to make it easier for Jirou to reach the bomb…'

Aizawa listed some more students and then changed the topic. "Sorry for the sudden announcement, but today you'll pick a class president." He said.

""Such a normal, school-like thing!""

The class descended into a cacophony, everyone wanted to be a class president. 'I've been in one of these positions of authority in high school before… not fun at all' she thought.

Before the room fell into more chaos, Ida proposed to do a vote to decide the class president, everyone was given a slip of paper to write a name, and then Ida went around taking them and counting the votes.

"... Why do I have two votes?" Maeve was tied with Momo Yaoyorozu.

"I mean, you seem really reliable, I think you would make a good vice president," said Jirou.

'So she voted for me?'

"Well, I'll pull out from the vote," Maeve said.

"Why though? This is a great opportunity. A position like this will reflect well in your future as a hero! You shouldn't just throw it away." Said Yaoyorozu.

"While it is a good opportunity, I really don't have the time to dedicate. Between work, studying, and training, I don't have time. Also, I'm not a big fan of these positions of authority. They are always a big pain in the ass" Brennan said.

"Hmm… well, then Midoriya will be our Class president and Yaoyorozu will be the vice president!" Declared Ida, mildly frustrated. Yaoyorozu looked a bit unhappy with her position, but otherwise took it, while Midoriya was a stuttering mess in front of the classroom.

'He won't stay there for long either way,' Maeve thought, looking at Ida.

Maeve was sitting in the cafeteria with Jirou, Kirishima, Midoriya, Ida, and Uraraka. "This rice is tasty!" Said Uraraka, munching on a bowl of rice.

"It really is!" Said Maeve, a tear rolling down her face. The group was talking about the votes. Midoriya wasn't confident he could be the class president, while Ida was complimenting him about his decision-making in a pinch.

"Ida.. Are you a rich kid?" Asked Uraraka.

"...I don't like people to know, so I try to hide it, but… I am the second son of a family of heroes."

""Wow""

Ida talked about his brother, who was the pro hero ingenium, which reminded Maeve of what was to soon happen. 'I really don't want anyone to know about my knowledge… but it is frustrating how I can't tell Ida about the hero killer…' Maeve will take her knowledge to the grave, she prefers to let the story roll as it should. While letting someone know could potentially save lives, it could also make things harder in the future. Some important canon events may never happen if she lets people know about the future, and that could hinder the main cast's development. 'It really isn't a good idea…'

At that moment, an alarm sounded. "Security level 3 has been broken. All students. Please evacuate in an orderly fashion"

A clog rapidly formed at the exit of the cafeteria. "What's security level 3?" Asked Ida.

"It means someone infiltrated the building!" A third-year student said.

"Ow!" "I can't move!" "Stop pushing!"

'God dammit… I can't move!' thought Maeve.

Ida tried to say something, but it was drowned out by the screaming of the students. 'What happened here?... Ah fuck, it was the media! Now I remember! But how the fuck do I tell everyone?!' Maeve tried to move her hands, but couldn't.

"Idaaaa!" "Uraraka!"

Ida floated up from the mob with the help of Uraraka and stood on the exit sign. "Everyone, Everything is fine! It's just the press! There's nothing to panic about, we're fine! This is U.A.! Behave in a way befitting this great institution!" Ida yelled to the crowd. In response, the crowd rapidly separated and everything went to normal once again. 'He acted fast…'

Back in class, Midoriya resigned from his position as a class president, giving the position to Ida because of his fast thinking in the Cafeteria. "I will accept the job, then!" Said Ida, in his usual intense and exaggerated manner.

"You can do it, Mr. Exit Sign!"

Back outside, after classes ended, Maeve was walking outside of the school, going to work. "Hello," A familiar voice said.

"Yui. Hello." Maeve said in response. "How did your day go?" She asked.

"It went pretty well. We reviewed our performance on the Battle Trial and decided on a class president" She said.

"Ohh, how did you do in the battle? I won mine." Maeve said.

"I also won mine, but it was way too close for comfort… At least I got to try my Hero costume." Yui said in response.

'I want to see her in her costume' Thought Maeve.

"That's cool. Mine was exactly how I designed it. Though it isn't surprising since it isn't anything fancy." The body snatcher said.

"Mm"

"... Oh well, I have to go to work… It was nice talking to you!" Maeve said, waving at Yui while leaving "Adios"

"Bye." Yui waved back, then looked at Maeve who left her field of vision "..."

I wrote this in one day.

Some things to clarify.

Maeve's knowledge of canon goes up to the "Remedial Course" arc, the one after the Yakuza and Eri.

I was originally going to leave her knowledge up to the Joint training arc, but I think it could be fun if I leave her in the dark on the more juicy parts of MHA. If I ever make Maeve know something she shouldn't know, I would appreciate it if you pointed it out in the reviews.

Also, someone in the reviews mentioned how it wasn't clear if Maeve was the extra seat or if she replaced someone. Maeve replace Koji Koda. I'm pretty sure I mentioned it, but I will still leave it here if someone doesn't pick it up.

Thanks for reading, I actually feel pretty good about this chapter, the last part a little bit less than the rest, but Yui and Maeve interactions are always "Good civilization" as Altera would say. If there are any suggestions (especially about the Maeve versus Kirishima scene) then those would be appreciated. This is my first (second? There was the fight against the kidnappers in chapter one, I guess) time making a fight scene, so I'm not used to writing them.

In a moment of motivation, I wrote like 75% of another MHA fanfiction. This one also has powers inspired by another series. The character is also a copy of another, but I decided to change it to a completely original OC and make it an actual Self-Insert, since neither Runic nor Remnant's time master are SI's.
