Ch. 2: Gyakutai-tekina shokuba to totsuzen no mokushiroku

Three days later…

The scene shows that Inko boarded a rental van once all of her belongings are loaded inside, and from there she left the apartment complex, and about five hours later she moves back to her home province, and the rental movers helped Inko put all of her belongings to her ANCESTRAL HOME, and after that she was left alone, and she sat on the sofa and wept quietly as she could feel that her son is having difficulty in adjusting as he has been through a lot since finding out that he was Quirkless.

"Oh…Izuku…"

Soon her province neighbors who knew Inko several decades ago came and greeted her, and they were surprised to hear the reason why she came back here, along with the fact that Izuku was Quirkless and is forced to forgo high school by working at a company in order to earn money, and this made the neighbors wondering what happened to the rest of the Midoriya family members, as they should be helping their relatives instead of deserting them.

"No way…"

"You can't be serious…"

"Why did your relatives deserted you?"

"What kind of family do you have?"

"I can't believe that they are so callous!"

"Damn them…I can't believe that they actually did this to you…"

"They're so heartless…"

"I'm sorry you had such selfish relatives…"

Moreover, the neighbors became shocked upon hearing from Inko that Hisashi abandoned her and Izuku with no explanation, and the female neighbors told Inko to forget about Hisashi and concentrate on her mental health and assured to her that Izuku would be okay, which Inko nodded in acknowledgement, believing that her neighbors are right.

"Don't you worry, Inko..."

"Everything will be okay…"

"Your son's going to be fine."

"Its not the end of the world for you…"

"That's right…"

"We'll help you recover…"

"So forget your good-for-nothing guy like your husband…"

"Yeah…"

Meanwhile, the next scene shows that Midoriya was taken to another apartment complex that is quite near the Hero Agency that Sekininsha is heading, revealed as the Black Company Agency, where the sidekicks happened to be minor and local pro heroes.

There Sekininsha told Midoriya that from hereon, he would be handling the accounting and the such, and assured to him that he would adjust well and that after three years he would be able to resume school and graduate.

"Eh…? You mean…?"

"Yes. If things are looking good…you might earn a lot, lot more…"

"But…I think this is a bit too much…"

"Oh, it's okay. Don't worry about it. Besides, you need to earn, right?"

"Well…"

"So don't worry about anything. Just leave everything to me."

"…"

"Relax. Everything will be fine."

After Midoriya nodded, Sekininsha then introduced the younger boy to the sidekicks, who all nodded and greeted Midoriya, which the latter bowed to them and sees that the sidekicks are friendly and accommodating as they immediately treated him like a coworker even after finding out that he is born Quirkless and told him that he would fit in this hero agency just fine.

"Welcome to the Black Company Hero Agency. Here everyone here are treated as equals. And you'll fit in just fine. Right, guys?"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

A few days later, Midoriya was starting work, and so far he managed to adjust well enough despite his lack of experience, and initially he was COACHED and Midoriya slowly learned the ropes and he is steadily getting accustomed to his new environment, where Sekininsha encouraged him to do his best, which made Midoriya feel safe and secured and his anxiety somewhat disappeared, much to his relief.

"You can do it, kid!"

"We're right behind you!"

"Be brave!"

"Uh…yeah…"

"If you need something…ask us."

"We'll guide you."

"That's right."

"Thanks."

A month later Sekininsha introduced Midoriya to Gonzou Kosugi, whom Sekininsha told the younger boy that Kosugi would be his TEAM LEADER and he will tell Midoriya what needs to be done, and there Kosugi shook hands with Midoriya as he acted friendly and exhibited a mentor-like aura, which made Midoriya feel at ease.

"Nice to meet you, kid."

"Uh…thanks…"

"And welcome to the company."

"Uh…thanks…"

"Don't you worry. You're in good hands, so relax and don't feel out of place."

"Y-yeah…okay."

"Good. Now then…time we get to work…"

"O-okay…"

The next month passed and Midoriya was doing well, and though the Black Company is actually a Hero Agency, it also served as a corporate office, where Midoriya's hard work earned him in securing a position in the Production Department, a job he finds himself surprised to get, and there Kosugi complimented Midoriya for being the YOUNGEST employee to gain such a position, much to Midoriya's humbled embarrassment.

"Not bad, kid."

"Uh…"

"You sure impressed me a lot."

"That's..."

"You may be the youngest…but you snagged such a good position. That's quite a feat."

"You think so…?"

"Of course!"

"Th-thanks…"

The new environment he is in made Midoriya feel at ease, yet he wondered if his mom is doing fine given that she is now back to her home province and this made him wondering if Inko is fine despite her lack of financial resources, and this made him determined to do everything he could to help ease his mom's financial burden.

Another month has passed, life at the Black Company Hero Agency is just the same…business as usual, yet Midoriya kept on doing his job, as he was able to earn quite decently and so far things are okay without problem or anything troublesome, though he soon caught a glimpse of some of his fellow employees, who were also pro heroes with professional Hero Licenses, and this made Midoriya wondering if he had a Quirk, would he get to be a pro hero, which he realized that he has to accept realty.

He then stood up as he is set to submit a paperwork to Kosugi as they are due at this time. Just before his meeting with Kosugi, who is the Department Chief, Midoriya accidentally collides with Saori Ohtori, an employee from the accounting department of the Black Company Hero Agency. He then apologized while helping her pick up the documents that fell on the floor, though she smiled and assured to Midoriya that it is okay and he has nothing to worry about.

"S-sorry…I didn't…"

"Oh, it's okay."

"R-really…?"

"Yes. It's fine."

"…"

"So don't worry about it."

"Uh…okay…"

"Good."

There Midoriya glances at Saori, where he was taken aback by her beauty and charms. Saori is shown to be a young woman of average height and well-endowed figure. Saori is revealed to be a 21 years old, though her appearance gave others the impression that she looked like an 18-year old woman, which makes her look youthful.

Her appearance shows that she has sleek, long black hair that reaches her mid-back, and a pair of charming red eyes, often seen with red lipstick during working hours. Her office outfit consists of a form-fitting, red-violet sweater, a dark pencil skirt, a pair of opaque brown tights, and cream-colored pumps for footwear. She is described to be beautiful which Midoriya immediately developed a crush on her.

There Saori kindly provides Midoriya with some insights into the business and wishes him luck on his current day.

"So you got the gist…?"

"Well…yeah…"

"Then you're good to go."

"Oh…okay…"

"Don't worry. I'm sure that you'll be able to pull through."

"I see…thanks."

"You're welcome. Best of luck to you."

"Y-yeah…"

The following month, after his current day at work, Midoriya attends a company gathering at a bar. They inquire about Midoriya's college experience and other topics, only to realize that he only finished middle school and that he is Quirkless, though they acted friendly towards the younger boy as well as assuring him that he is worth something despite not having a Quirk.

"Huh? Seriously?"

"You just finished middle school and had to skip out on high school?"

"And on top of that…you're Quirkless…?"

"Uh…yes…that's right…"

"That's pretty rough…since your previous tenant sold his complex and the new owner just kicked you and your mom out…"

"Good thing the boss found out about your predicament…and now you're here…"

"Feel lucky…you get to change your fortunes…"

"Y-yeah…"

While dining at the bar, Midoriya notices Saori and resolves to make a positive impression on her by working diligently, hoping that she would notice him and then they would strike a conversation so that they would get to know each other better, as he wished that at least he would get to go on a date with her if only once.

Unexpectedly, as the following weeks passed, leading to a month and a half, Midoriya sensed something that made him feel a little wary as everyone's demeanor undergoes a transformation, and they become mindless worker drones. Midoriya notices their peculiar behavior in the workplace and wonders about the cause, yet he still continue to work as he needed to earn more money so he could help his mom who is still residing at her home province.

Despite enduring numerous sleepless nights on the job, Midoriya returns home feeling exhausted, and he unknowingly began to subconsciously feel his morale decreasing to the point of seemingly forgetting that he is a minor and seemingly forgetting that he still has a mother, as he subconsciously began to believe that he is living alone.

Despite the lack of rest, he remains determined to give it his all, as he tried to weather everything just to keep earning more money, and while he did managed to earn, he was physically exhausted after every office hours that he didn't have time to go to the bank to send money to his mom, as part of his mind refused to believe that he is being abused in the corporate sense.

As the months have passed, Midoriya's life is like a seesaw, and he is trying to keep himself together even though he is halfway in BURNING OUT due to the exhaustion he got from work. At one point Midoriya is informed about the company's employee-friendly policies, including annual paid vacations, anniversary leave, and mental health days, which he just nodded.

"…and these are the company policies…since this is what the company is about…"

"Yeah…"

"Also included are the packages…like days off, paid vacation and the like…"

"Yeah…"

"And that's about it. You get the drift?"

"Yeah…"

"Really?"

"Yeah…"

However, Midoriya sarcastically highlights other aspects of the job that are far from reality. A year goes by, and Kosugi assigns Midoriya a task to be completed within a week since his fellow employee is temporarily unavailable, and while this irritated the younger boy, he finds himself unable to complain.

By then Satori kindly brings Midoriya some food as he has been working non-stop, even past his lunch break. Midoriya jokingly mentions that Satori is the only one keeping him sane, and there he would try to find time to converse with her, but at an accidental turn of events, Midoriya saw her being summoned by Sekininsha and there she and Sekininsha entered a supply room, where moments later Midoriya could hear Saori moaning in pleasure.

"Mmmmm…"

"Aaaaahhhh~h…"

"Mmmmm…"

"Aaaaahhhh~h…"

"Mmmmm…"

"Aaaaahhhh~h…"

"Mmmmm…"

"Aaaaahhhh~h…"

There Midoriya became emotionally dismayed as he discovers that Saori is actually the CEO's mistress, though he wondered if she did this willingly or if she's being blackmailed to do so, and in the days passed Midoriya would accidentally catch a glimpse of Sekininsha INVITING Saori at the supply room and the two have sex, which changes Midoriya's perspective and wondered if there is anything left here that would help him endure this hell.

Despite the absence of Satori as a motivation, Midoriya wonders why he continues working for the Hero Agency that is merely a front of the production company. He contemplates finding another job but realizes he may not have the time and doesn't want to burden his team, which he unknowingly worsened his mental health and self-esteem.

As several months passed, Midoriya enters his third year, and there he is shown to be increasingly stressed, to the point where he contemplates suicide, but for some reason he was unable to do so, and while resting at his apartment, Midoriya was seeking solace, where he watches TV shows discussing workplace etiquette and the importance of worker safety and well-being.

Once again, Midoriya wakes up feeling sleep-deprived. He wondered if he should report to the Hero Agency or not as he felt that it would be another day in hell, yet he finds himself unable to resist and he contemplate in speaking to Sekininsha and tell him that he wanted to quit while he is still in mental control of himsel.

"Guess I should tell him…I don't think I could take any more of this…"

Then he notices a reminder letter on his door regarding an unpaid fee for his bike space, which he sighed in annoyance, and there Midoriya decides to discuss the matter with the building manager, where he went to his unit complex, and there he calls him out in order to talk things out.

"Hello…?"

"…"

"Are you there…?"

"…"

"Its me! Midoriya!"

"…"

"Hello!"

"…"

Midoriya blinked his eyes as he receives no response and as he attempted to knock on the door, he finds the manager's door open and Midoriya took a peek before calling his name, and to his surprise, the manager has turned into a zombie, which made Midoriya shiver in shock at what he just saw, as the zombified building manager roared as he began to go after his prey, namely Midoriya himself.

"Huh…?"

"Rrrrrrrr…!"

"Wha…?"

"Rrrrrrrr…!"

"H-hey…what gives…"

"Rrrrrrrr…!"

"H-hold on…!"

"Rrrrrrrr…!"

Horrified and terrified, Midoriya ran away, and to his surprise, Midoriya finds himself being chased by an army of zombies, questioning the unfolding events as the zombies roared and moaned as they are chasing after Midoriya.

"WAAAAAHHHH! WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!"

"RRRRRAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"RRRRRAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"RRRRRAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"RRRRRAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"RRRRRAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"RRRRRAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"RRRRRAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"
