Ch. 3: UA akademī-nai de no dai gyakusatsu

Inside the faculty of UA Academy, the scene shows that the staff members are having mixed feelings about hiring teachers who are Quirkless and that they appeared to be too stingy and feel that they are entitled just because they landed a teaching job here at UA Academy, and as of the moment Shota Aizawa and Present Mic are on a leave of absence due to UNSPECIFIED FACTORS, thus this leaves the remaining teachers here at this time, which consists of:

- Midnight

- Cementoss

- Snipe

- Vlad King

- Thirteen

- Hound Dog

The teachers are also planning to ask the principal, Nezu for a second opinion about hiring Quirkless teachers as Vlad King observed that some of the teachers deem certain Hero Course and Support Course students as DELINQUENTS and deserved to be punished, which the rest of the UA Academy staff members find it foolish and agreed that once Nezu returns, as he is currently at overseas, they would ask him for clarifications over his decision.

"…and therefore, once the principal comes back I am going to ask his opinion about hiring Quirkless teachers…their methods aren't quite suited here in UA…and to think they believe that UA students in hero course are bound to act like delinquents…so what do you say…? Should I bring this matter to the principal once he comes back…?"

"Yeah."

Suddenly a support robot came in and alerted the UA Academy teachers of what is happening within the school building, which surprised the teachers after hearing from the support robot that a plague-like situation is spiraling out of control, in which INFECTED students are turned into an UNDEAD and when a victim is bitten he or she would die and several seconds later they become an UNDEAD and would bite and infected someone and the process is repeated.

"I repeat…this is no drill…what I told you just now is for real…"

"Huh?"

"What?"

"Seriously?"

"You heard me! UA Academy is becoming a horror-themed hell out there!"

"How…?"

"This can't be…"

"What the heck is going on out there…?"

Suddenly the tablet lit and a video call took place where pro hero and UA teacher Power Loader told the other teachers of the current situation, and also said that for some unexplained reason, their Quirks have been ERASED, hence the students are unable to defend themselves from the zombies, which surprised the other teachers, and there Thirteen tried to use her Quirk and to her surprise, nothing came out, thus confirming what Power Loader just said, which further shocked the UA teachers.

"Oh no…my Quirk is gone!"

"Huh?"

"What?"

"Seriously?"

"Its just as what Power Loader said!"

"That can't be…"

"Are you sure…?"

"Let's check it out…"

As the other teachers tried, and confirmed that their Quirks are gone, Cementoss picks up the phone and tried to contact the police, and to his surprise, the emergency lines are busy, and there he attempted to contact the fire department, which the emergency numbers are also busy, which he told his fellow teachers about the situation.

This made Vlad King suspect that something is going on, and there he contacted some pro heroes whom he has some connections with, and there he contacted Kamui Woods, which he managed to reach out and asked him what is the status at the city, reasoning that the police and even the fire station hotlines are inaccessible.

Vlad King stared wide-eyed as Kamui said that several areas within and outside Musutafu are being besieged by zombies, which took everyone by surprise as their numbers increased and that there were no warnings whatsoever, which caused many to get bitten and infected before TURNING.

Moreover, Kamui said that those who have Quirks suddenly lost it thus they were unable to defend and fight back, and revealed that several pro heroes also lost access to their Quirks and were overwhelmed and disemboweled by the zombies, which Vlad King was trembling in disbelief.

"What? Are you serious?"

"Yes! The city is in chaos! The police are being overwhelmed! Most of the people and even pro heroes suddenly became Quirkless and got eaten alive!"

"How is that possible?!"

"I don't know! Even I lost my Quirk!"

"…"

"Right now Mount Lady is leading the evacuation efforts and I'm directing traffic here!"

"Kamui…"

"Listen carefully…!"

Kamui said that right now Edge Shot is trying to contact the army as the police are having difficulty in trying to evacuate the survivors as well as to see if any of them got bitten and infected, and there Kamui told Vlad to have UA Academy barricaded in case the zombies make their way there, unaware of the fact that UA Academy is currently being besieged by the zombies.

"Right now you should prevent the students from going out of UA Academy…"

"Eh…?"

"Explain to them the reason why…"

"Actually…"

"Right now UA Academy has to be the safest place for the students there, so…"

"Wait! You don't understand…!"

"Hello…? Vlad? Are you still there…?"

"Huh? Kamui…?"

Suddenly the call was abruptly cut off, and Vlad King tried to call back but the line became inaccessible, and there the other UA teachers asked him what happened, and there Vlad reluctantly told them what Kamui just told him, which shocked everyone inside the faculty room, as they couldn't believe that Musutafu has been invaded by zombies without warning and that there were no signs that something like this would happen.

"…and that's what Kamui Woods said, so…"

"Huh? So it's happening outside UA Academy as well…?"

"What? That can't be!"

"Seriously?"

"Its just as what Kamui Woods said! The city as we speak is currently in chaos!"

"That can't be…"

"Are you sure…?"

"How did that happen…?"

Recalling what Kamui said a while ago, Vlad attempted to use his Quirk to see if it came back, and to his shock, his Quirk still did not function, and he told the other teachers about it, which they also attempted to try it out, and they all became concerned as they remained Quirkless, and this made Vlad get seriously worried as they may have to rely on their wits in order to address the current situation.

He told the other teachers that they may have to make do with what they can find and use, and said that if what Power Loader said a while ago is true then there is no alternative other than reluctantly use violence if needed in order to protect and save the students, which the teachers nodded in agreement as they realized that Vlad King is right about this.

"…and therefore, once we leave this room we'll have to save the students who are alive…but in the event that they have bite wounds…it means one thing…are you willing to do that…?"

"Yeah."

Suddenly, a UA student barges in, and there the teachers saw him in a very BLOODIED STATE, as his UA Academy school uniform was in tatters, his upper body shows that he was bitten all over which also shows that majority of his internal organs were bitten away while losing a lot of blood, and there Midnight and Thirteen tried to help the dying student as he told the two teachers what happened just now.

"What?"

"Are you sure…?"

"Y-yes…"

"This can't be…"

"It's serious than I thought…"

"From…what I saw…almost…everyone…got bitten…and…"

"Easy…"

"Calm down…"

"…"

Snipe and Hound Dog stared wide-eyed in shock as they saw the student's body had a lot of bite injuries, which made it look like he was an antelope being disemboweled by a pack of wild dogs as his innards, such as intestines and even his liver, were partially exposed and consumed, and as Midnight and Thirteen tried to stop the bleeding, the student began to vomit blood before CONVULSING, and moments later he expired.

The two female teachers were saddened as a student died in front of them as they were supposed to protect the students, but then Hound Dog recalled something and became concerned as he forcefully pulled Midnight and Thirteen away from the dead student as he told everyone to back away, telling everyone the bad feeling that he got the moment he saw the student came in with such injuries before dying.

"Hound Dog?"

"What's wrong?"

"Get away from him!"

"Huh?"

"Why…?"

"He can't be saved! Get away from him!"

"!"

Suddenly, the dead UA student began to stir, but he moaned quote audibly before slowly sitting up, where the UA teachers saw that the student is wobbly getting up and that he no longer has visible pupils, as well as he is acting like a real zombie, which he began to walk towards the nearest prey in his line of sight, which Hound Dog told the others to get back and avoid getting caught no matter what.

Snipe then responded by drawing his gun and opened fire, shooting the now-zombified student yet nothing happened as he continue to head towards the nearest target, and there Cementoss suddenly thought of something and he grabbed a metal chair and struck the zombified student on the head, which momentarily halted the zombie.

Snipe got the gist and aimed his gun and shoots the zombified student on the forehead, its bullet penetrated the skull and struck the brain, and thus killing the UA student and there Cementoss told everyone that the moment they encounter a zombie they should aim their attack on the zombie's head given that it is the VULNERABLE SPOT.

"…and that's what we're going to do…if we encounter a zombie…and if there's an opening…attack the head immediately and that zombie is defeated. Got that?"

"Yeah."

Suddenly another UA student came in and she was terrified and there Thirteen check to see if the student has any bite injuries, and seeing that she is healthy and unharmed, Thirteen calmed her down and asked what is happening, where the student told the teacher what is going on, as other UA students attacked her classmates as they began to bite and EAT the other students and said that more and more UA students appeared and looked like walking corpses eating any persons they could get their hands on.

Vlad King became concerned and there he told Thirteen and Midnight to find any students who are unharmed and have them evacuated from UA Academy, and at the same time he reluctantly told the other teachers that if they encounter any UA students or teachers having any bite injuries, they would have to be taken out PERMANENTLY, which the UA teachers reluctantly nodded as they realized what Vlad King meant.

"Yeah."

Hope you liked this chapter, as the UA faculty staff members get a chance to shine, though not in a good way as they learned too late that aside from UA Academy, the city got fell by the sudden zombie pandemic…and now the UA faculty staff members are in a pinch as they suddenly became Quirkless.

Though Midoriya and the others are absent, they will show up again in the next chapter…
