"Derek, you're not interrupting them," Alex said as Derek grabbed the key to his daughter's bedroom.

"I told them to leave the door open and Arabella not only closed it, but she locked it!"

"They need to have a private conversation, Derek," she said, blocking his way out.

"Alex, move out of the way."

Alex smiled a little mischievously. "I can see I'll have to take more drastic measures," she said while snatching the key. She tucked it into her bra.

Derek looked down. "I remember what you like, Alex," he said while reaching behind her and to close the door. He locked it with an audible click.

"Well, look who's forgotten what he was so intent on doing..."

"I just decided I have some time," Derek said, pressing himself firmly against her.

"Well then, prove you remember what I like."

"I intend to."

Soon, a moan of "you do remember what I like," was heard by Rachel and Nick as both Legacy members walked past the room.

"Say something," Philip said.

"Why do you think you need to marry me?" Arabella asked, closing her eyes.

"It's what's right. I have to care for my child."

"And what if I'm not sure I want to keep it?"

Philip frowned. "Why are you thinking about that?"

"I'm still in college. A baby will disrupt everything. I don't want to drop out."

"You won't have to drop out just because of the baby."

"A girl at the college last year had a baby. She dropped out. Before her, there were other girls who had babies. All of them dropped out."

"Arabella, there are many women who start families during college and still finish college."

She looked at him. "I'm still not sure I want it."

"How about if we drop the subject of marriage for a while? I think you need time to think about things."

"Leave me alone!" Arabella shouted when Derek tried to look in on her later that day.

"You're still acting like a child!" Derek said. He came into the room. "I'm your father. I'm supposed to worry about you. Talk to me."

She shook her head. "Get out."

"I'm not leaving." He moved a lock of hair from her face. "I know what being under that curse is like."

"It's not the same! Get out! Now!"

Derek shook his head. "You have to talk about it."

She looked at him with a tear streaked face. "You want to hear what it's like to be mind-raped some madwoman who happens to have been my mother?! Do you really want to hear about how she ordered me to have sex with my best friend and how we couldn't stop until she said so? Do you really want to hear about all of that?"

"No, I don't, but you still have to talk about it. You'll never move past it if you don't."

"I don't want to!" She turned away from him again.

"I'm going to have you talk to Rachel, if that's better."

"I'm not talking to her."

"And why not?" Derek asked.

"I don't know her. I don't like her. I don't trust her."

"Arabella, let me tell you something about Rachel. When I met her, she'd just been seduced by a demon. Her mind was affected. She'll understand what you're going through."

"No. I don't want to see her."

"Derek, if she refuses to talk to me, then it isn't wise to even attempt talking to her at this point," Rachel said.

"Before you were talking about talking to her."

"That was before I learned she doesn't trust me. If she doesn't feel she can trust me, I can't just make her talk to me."

"She needs to talk to someone. She can't keep using Philip as a confidant all the time. Arabella needs someone else to talk to."

"Don't tell me she doesn't like Alex?"

"She needs someone who isn't her friend."

"Are you sure you're not afraid she won't realize you slept with Alex?"

Derek stared at her.

"Nick and I both heard. If she realizes what happened, is it really going to be that bad?"

"It might. I'm not sure how things stand between Alex and I. It's... been awhile."

"In other words, it's complicated?"

"Exactly that."
