Note: I've been wanting to write this kind of story since May, and the inspiration finally came to me! Hope you enjoy this, and hopefully we will 1 day get a sequel movie to give us this kind of reunion!
2 years of being away from home. 2 years of pure hell. The sneaking around, the being forced to hide anywhere that looked safe, the never knowing when she would get to go home. It was nothing but hell.
All the things she had to miss, Kensi and Deeks adopting Rosa, Callen and Anna's wedding. Sometimes, she had felt so guilty and miserable about missing so much, she felt like she deserved to be forgotten about.
Thankfully, she wasn't completely alone in her mission. She had Keane, the dear friend that she had risked her life for a few years ago. She had Nate, the dear shrink and friend. And she had Nell, her much needed helper and refuge. Their support and love helped keep her going, and alive.
Despite all their love though, Hetty was still very homesick.
Then 1 day, something terrible happened, forcing her to run to Morocco, forcing her to hide even deeper then before out of desperation, she called Nell asking for help.
As the days and weeks went on, she was starting to wonder if she was ever going to see her family again. Had she hidden herself too wel to be found? Did she even deserve to be found after being gone for so long?
And still, through it all, she still trusted her family to find her, like they had done several times before.
And then 1 miraculous day, she was found, they had finally found her, and she was beyond relieved.
When Hetty saw Callen for the 1st time in 2 years, she didn't know what to say at first. The shock wore off quickly though, and she went over and gave him the biggest hug, and cried.
'I was starting to wonder if I would ever see you again!'
'I was beginning to wonder that too. But we're all good at finding people in any situation.' Callen replied.
'I'm so sorry for all the time that has passed, everything that I've missed, if I could've talked to you or even come home sooner, I swear I would've!'
'Shh shh shh. It's okay. I understand completely, and so does everyone else. We're all just so thankful you're okay!'
'I missed you so much, my dear boy.' Hetty sniffled.
'I missed you as well, Hetty.' Callen replied, trying to hold back tears of his own.
After 2 gloomy years, the bravest of them all finally got her happy ending: Finally getting to go home.
