Chapter 1
"I love this town!"
Makarov Dreyar, the third and sixth guild master of Fairy Tail, who had once again crowned as the number one guild of Fiore through winning the grand magic game, cried out to the sky with tears of happiness streaming down his cheeks upon seeing the glorious, new guild building that the people of Magnolia town had made for him and his guild to award their victory and celebrate their return.
"Come on! Let's go check it out!"
Excitedly, the fire dragon slayer of fairy tail, who was known widely as Salamander, Natsu Dragneel, exclaimed before he ran into the guild with Happy, kicking the door open with such force that if the builders had not heavily reinforced it, the door would surely have been blown away.
"Heh, typical." Gray Fullbuster chuckled before going after his guildmate and rival into the guild with the rest of their team and Juvia, who were soon followed suit by all of Fairy Tail, gasping and awing in amazement at the sight of the glorious building.
Once they reached the main hall where the bar was located, their tour came to a halt when they saw Natsu standing in the center with a confused look on his face and his arms crossing over his chest. Following his gaze, the group widened their eyes when they saw an unfamiliar, brown haired young man dressed in a formal black and magenta suit sitting at the bar counter with his back leaning against it.
Before anyone could ask him who he was, having never seen anyone like him before, the young man grabbed the camera that was hanging from his neck by its straps and took a photo of them, making the mages of Fairy Tail blink in surprise before wondering if he was a reporter or photographer from the Sorcerer Magazine. Because they had just won the grand magic game, such a thing would not be impossible.
"Welcome back, mages of Fairy tail." The young man said with a casual air about him as he lowered the camera down and started looking "Nice place you got here. Probably one of the nicer places that I have ever traveled to."
"Thank you… I suppose." Mirajane said unsurely, before she stepped forward with the guild master and asked the young man "Excuse me, but… who are you?"
"And what intention do you have with us?" Makarov asked him in a calm tone. Although he did not look like it, the more experienced members of the guild could tell that their master was being cautious about the young man, who simply smiled friendly in response before speaking up.
"My name is Tsukasa Kadoya, and I am simply here to give you guys a gift." He said and reached his hand under his jacket, which caused some members of Fairy Tail to become slightly alarmed, but relaxed somewhat after seeing him simply bringing out a strange looking card. "Think of this as my own gift to you for winning the Grand Magic Game. You can say that I am a big fan of your performance."
"So… you have been watching us?" Laxus asked as he hardened his gaze a little at Tsukasa.
"Yes, I have, but only to observe. You guys are also not the first people that I have been watching or following around, so try not to dwell too deeply in the thought." Tsukasa said as he placed the card on the bar counter "You card mage should be able to activate this gift of mine. Please watch it at your leisure."
"Watch?" Cana, who could tell that he had just referred to her, repeated, feeling unsure at what he meant.
"Just something that I picked up during one of my many journeys. Should keep you guys entertained for a while, and might even teach you a thing or two about those who fight for their belief and what is right in other worlds out there."
Tsukasa said, causing the mages of Fairy Tail to widen their eyes in surprise at his words before he got up and took another photo of them, smiling a little before reaching his hand out and causing a wall of white energy of a sort to appear in the air next to him.
"Once you have finished watching, just toss the card away. It will return to me automatically." The photographer said before walking toward the energy wall "Have a good time and enjoy, mages of Fairy Tail."
And with that said, he entered the wall that then disappeared, leaving the mages of Fairy Tail slightly stunned. Several members could only stare at the spot, unable to stop themselves from wondering what just happened until Makarov walked to the bar and picked up the card, examining it carefully to make sure that there was nothing dangerous about it.
"Master, what are we going to do now?" Mira asked as she stepped the master to look at the car in his hand, feeling more curious than anything else just like the other members of the Guild.
"Cana, what do you think?" After a moment of thoughtful consideration, Makarov asked the daughter of his ace and handed her the card.
"The card is pulsating with some kind of static magic but… I don't think it's dangerous." Can answered after examining the card carefully, making Makarov nod his head in understanding, having felt and discovered the same thing about the object. "Do you want me to activate it?"
"I don't see why not?" Makarov shrugged "That boy, Tsukasa, said some strange things but… I don't think he meant us harm. Maybe we can humor ourselves with whatever he has in store for us? It's not like we have anything else to do for the meantime anyway, right?"
"Alright then, master."
Cana said, nodding her head to the guild master before she began channeling her magic into the card. At first, nothing happened, making some members wonder if Tsukasa had fooled them, but then suddenly, the lighting in the room darkened, causing the mages of Fairy Tail to widen their eyes in surprise and once again become highly alerted.
Before anyone could say anything, or tell Cana to stop channeling her magic into the card, a light then shot out and shone over the plain wall of the stage on the side of the guild, projecting a recording of a city being attacked by bright green beams of light.
"Wha…"
Earth was facing its greatest crisis of all time!
"Wait, what the hell is this!?" Gray asked in shock as he and everyone watched the video, seeing buildings being destroyed and crumbled by the explosions generated by the beams being fired at them. "Is this live? What the hell is going on?"
"It can pause it." Cana said and did what she had just said, causing the scene to pause "See? I think this is just a recording."
"Earth… and what Tsukasa said earlier, could it be that this is another world?" Makarov asked in amazement, reminding his guild of what Tsukasa had said earlier.
"You mean like Edolas, master?" Lucy asked, remembering the adventure that she and everyone had had in the no magic parallel universe of Earthland.
"I mean… the place is called Earth, and the design of those buildings are really different to ours." Makarov nodded his head in confirmation, taking the card from Cana to give it another look. "We might be looking into an event that happened in the past of another world, one that Tsukasa recorded and gave to us."
"But why?"
"Well, he did say that it was a reward to us for winning the Grand Magic Game." Mira answered Levy's question before smiling brightly "Well, I don't know about everyone but now I want to watch the rest of it?"
"Me too! Whatever this was, I want to see how it went." Erza said with a smile, and soon the rest of the guild agreed with her before hurriedly grabbing their seats around the bar, with Mira and the barmaids starting to serve food and drinks to those who ordered them.
"Alright, let's do it then."
Once that everyone had made themselves comfortable, Makarov handed Cana back the card, and the card mage casted a spell that made the card float in the air and projected the recording from before, resuming it, showing a great fleet of spaceships that was the ones firing upon the building below.
"Woah…" was the only thing that the mages of Fairy Tail could utter out of sheer astonishment at the sight of the fleet, but soon came to the realization of what they were doing, causing a few to widen their eyes and gasp in horror as the destruction continued.
The overwhelming forces of the Zangyack Empire, which seeks to rule the entire universe, was on a campaign of destruction, driving the people into the depts of fear!
The mages of Fairy Tail gasped, as the narrator confirmed the shared thought that everyone was having with his statement, watching as strange, but humanoid beings were matching across the destroyed streets in advancement upon the city that their ships were attacking.
"Oi oi, is anyone fighting back?" Gray could only ask, and his question was answered when a red cloak appeared on the scene.
But the Earth possessed forces that could stand against this abominable evil! The defenders of love! Of dreams! Of peace!
"Alright!" Natsu cheered out when the scene zoomed out from a warrior dressed in a full red and white bodysuit and a helmet with a blue visor, appearing to be the leader of a battalion of warriors dressed in a similar manner to him, with each suits having a different designs, yet many primary colors, mainly red, blue and yellow…
"So these are the forces that stood against the evils of this world." Makarov said with a smile, even though deep down he could not help but feel worried for those noble warriors, as there were only so many of them while the Zangyack empire had shown a tremendous military force.
The thirty four super sentai who dedicated themselves to protecting the happiness of the people!
"Let's go! Kick their asses!" Natsu roared in excitement as the battalion of warriors unsheathed their weapons and charged fearlessly into battle against an overwhelming army of Zangyack soldiers, utilizing flawless skills and powerful abilities to even the odds, causing many mages of Fairy Tail to gasp in amazement and cheer for them. "Holy shit!"
"Are those… magic?" Lucy could not stop herself from asking as they watched a red warrior unleashing a wave of flame from his hand in a similar manner to how Natsu could breath his fire, annihilating a group of Zangyack soldiers with ease.
Soon, a group of five sentai, as they were called, dressed in suits with bird motifs flew into battles, bringing down many enemies along the way to assist their fellow sentai fighting below.
"It could be… but it could also be a form of powers of their own. Remember, this is a different world, so they could be very different from ours." Makarov answered.
"Those are ninjas!" Natsu exclaimed in excitement with one hand pointing at the scene when another group of sentai used their techniques to dash across the fields, destroying Zangyack soldiers with overwhelming speed. "Let's go! I am loving this already!" With that said, he and Happy shot up and struck a pose with his scarf wrapping around the lower half of his head, covering his face in a manner similar to that of a ninja.
His excitement and smile, however, soon faltered when the first red ranger looked up and realized he and his fellow sentai were being loomed over by the fleet of flying warships, which then fired upon them right after they had defeated the entire army of foot soldiers.
"Oh no!" Mira gasped, covering her mouth as explosions swallowed the sentai rangers. Only after the scene returned and showed that they were relatively unharmed, with fighting spirit seemingly still burning strong, that she allowed herself to breathe out a sigh in relief.
At the same time, however, Mira had begun to stat feeling worried for the rangers, with many sharing the thought with her as they did not know how they were going to deal with those battleships.
"Everyone! We must combine the power of all super sentai, and defend the Earth!"
The red ranger leader said as they all gathered around him, not even needing to think twice as they all looked up and started glowing in an ethereal yellow aura before becoming beams of light that then rocked up in the sky.
"Fire!"
Once that they were high enough, with the command from their leaders, the sentai unleashed their powers in the form of an immense explosion, which then traveled across the sky and destroyed every battleship, at the same time lighting up the entire side of their planet.
The scene causedthe mages of Fairy Tail to become completely speechless, with the only thing that could do was gasping in shock and amazement as they looked at the scene with their eyes as wide as dinner.
But the warriors of the super sentai were no longer able to fight, and became the heroes of legend…
"I see… so they sacrificed their powers." Makarov said solemnly after hearing the narration from the narrator of the recording "I guess that… for them, it is a small price to pay to protect their world from harm."
"I hope that they are alright." Mira said "I mean… that explosion just now was unlike anything I have ever seen."
"It is, Mira-chan. It is." Erza nodded her head in agreement.
Since then… Many years have passed.
The scene then zoomed out of planet Earth, and focused on a giant red spaceship that was designed similarly to that of a pirate ship, having a giant sword for its bowsprit.
"Woahhhh…. What the hell? That ship is cool!" Natsu gasped in amazement as the scene zoomed into all the side cannons that the ship had.
"Is that a pirate spaceship though?" Gray asked in wonder, his eyes twitching a little at all the red that he was saying "And I guess we know what the captain's favorite color is."
"Wait… are they… in space?" Mira could not help but ask, making several members of Fairy Tail to widen their eyes in realization.
"Oh wow, so that is what the universe looks like." Levy said with a curious smile "I wonder if ours are the same."
Before anyone could give their two cents or voice their opinions, they were interrupted by a loud squeaky noise.
"HEY! LISTEN! HEY!" The scene then changed into the inside of the pirate spaceship, revealing the speaker to be a bird-like machine creature that had glowing yellow eyes.
"The hell is that?" Natsu asked with a sweat drop "Is that a robot?"
"Obviously, flame brain." Gray answered with a snort.
"What is wrong, Navi?" Asked a young woman who was dressed in a yellow jacket and sitting on a nearby couch with one leg crossing over the other.
"And who the hell is this chick?" Natsu questioned again, this time being joined by several members of the guild as they all wondered who the woman in the yellow jacket could be.
"Hmm, one of the super sentai, perhaps?" Makarov mused with a smile.
"I found it! I found it!" Navi, the bird robot, exclaimed as he flew up and landed on a control panel, his wings flapping excitedly as he looked around the room to continue "It's earth! And the greatest treasure in the universe!"
"Oh right! They are on a pirate ship out looking for treasure, so they are pirates." Gray asked before crossing his arms over his chest and wondering out loud "Does that make them… space pirates?"
"Probably…" Mira said "Still, I hope that they are not like… bad, bad pirates, if they are the super sentai."
"Seriously!?" Asked a young man with messy blonde hair and dressed in a dark blue jacket as he stepped into the scene and pressed a few buttons on the control panel, causing the scene in front of him to show the image of planet Earth. "Woooahhh!"
"My, such a beautiful planet."
A young woman who wore a white dress and pink jacket said as she elegantly put down the cup she had been drinking, causing the blond haired young man to spin around to look at her.
"I am sure it will be delightful."
"Anyone getting a Princess Hisui vibe from her?" Gray asked, looking around the room, with many of the older men blushing at the beauty of the young woman.
"Same here, Gray-sama." Juvia nodded her head in agreement.
"That's just the reason I'd expect from you, Ahim." The young woman wearing the yellow jacket said as she walked up to stand next to the blond haired young man, making him look at her and smile in agreement "All that I see is one big jewel."
"That's always the first thing on your mind, Luka." The blond said with a chuckle.
"None of that matters." A new person arrived in the scene, appearing to be a tall and well-built young man wearing a light blue jacket and had his hair tied back in a low ponytail. "Our target is on that planet."
"Ugh… why am I feeling worse and worse about these guys." Elfman murmured in a low tone. "I know that they are space pirates and all, but still… Are they good or bad people?"
"Try to act cool, again." Luka said with a laugh as she looked at the newly arrived, who simply turned his head to glare at her "I know you are excited on the inside, Joe."
"But would it really be on such a backwoods planet?" This is a treasure worth the entire universe, right?"
"Oi! What does that even mean!?" Natsu asked with a scoff after hearing the blonde haired young man asking that question.
"So they are out looking for the greatest treasure in the universe, which is believed to be on planet Earth." Makarov rubbed his chin and mused with a smile "This is gonna be fun."
"Of course it's there!"
A voice then spoke to the four, and while the person was now shown on the scene, their hand was as it played around with a set of toys in a chest. Surprisingly enough, however, the toys looked exactly the same as some of the super sentai that they had seen in the legendary war earlier.
Then suddenly, the beeping sound of alarm alerted the four, causing Luka to rush over to the control panel and press several buttons. However, nothing seemed to happen, causing her to whine in displeasure before calling the blonde haired young man over to take over her, whose name, or at least title, revealed to be Doc.
"The Zangyack space fleet?!"
The Doc exclaimed in horror when the scene in front of them displayed a fleet of Zangyack spaceships, which was heading toward them at full speed.
"Wha… they survived that!? No way!" Natsu asked in shock.
"That could just be a fragment of their army, remember, this is a space empire we are talking about. Without a doubt they will not send their full force to deal with some… mere warriors fighting for peace." Laxus said in a dark tone, causing a chill to run down everyone's spine.
"Then what the hell the sentai sacrificed their powers for?"
"This is bad! They found us!" Doc uttered fearfully and hid behind Luka.
"What do we do, Marvelous?" Joe then asked with his arms crossed over his chest, as he turned around and looked at the person who had spoken up earlier "One wrong move, and we are done for."
"Then we make the right move."
"Well, no shit!" Natsu scoffed, although he could not stop himself from cracking a little at the remark.
"I wonder what these pirates did to piss off the Zangyack enough for them to send that many spaceships after them." Gajeel then voiced his opinion with a smirk "I guess good or bad pirates, at least they are on the side of the Super sentai."
"I highly doubt it, but we can only hope." Levy giggled.
"I knew he would say that!" Doc exclaimed as all eyes turned to Marvelous, who then stood up and raised one of the toys he had been messing around with earlier, which then revealed itself to be a key. At the same time, he also revealed himself to Fairy Tail as a young man who was roughly the same height as Joe, with messy black hair and dressed in a long, red pirate coat.
"That is what it means to be a pirate, right?"
And with that statement, the scene changed.
"You know what… I kind of like that guy. He seems cool!" Natsu said with an excited grin.
"Judging by the color of his shirt, and if they are really one of the sentai… does it mean he is one of the red?" Levy inquired, bringing out her notebook to quickly note it down, feeling more and more interested at the recording that was being shown to them
"If so... Joe is the warrior, while Ahim is pink and Luka is yellow." Lucy nodded her head in agreement.
"What about Doc then, Lucy-nee?" Romeo asked "Is he like… dark blue or something?"
"Maybe, but we don't see the same two colors sentai in one team previously, so maybe that is just his choice of color for his usual outfit." Lucy answered with a smile, and with that the recording continued, revealing Marvelous in his sentai suit standing behind the helm of his ship.
"Oh! So they are really super sentai!" Natsu exclaimed in excitement "Cool!"
"So… does that mean they are good pirates?" Gray wondered out loud.
"Does it matter? They are gonna kick those asses now!" Natsu grinned as he cheered loudly along with his Exceed.
"Ready the cannon!" Marvelous commanded before grabbing the wheel, turning the ship to dodge a barrage of laser beams from the Zangyack spaceships. "Port side galleon cannon!"
With another command and a response from Doc, the ship fired a barrage of cannon at a nearby battleship, destroying it instantly. Snorting, Marvelous then turned his ship toward Earth, and rammed through a Zangyack battleship with the giant sword bowsprit of his ship, cleaving it into two before the two halves exploded.
"Holy shit! You go, space pirates!" Natsu and several mages of Fairy Tail cheered excitedly, their hands clapping in the air for the pirate sentai as they headed toward Earth while leaving behind them the destroyed battleships of the Zangyack.
"Playtime is over! Fire at will!"
A humanoid, blue being whose entire body appeared to be a shell of armors or some sort, whose sheer appearance made the mages of Fairy Tail gasp in shock, commanded, causing the entire fleet to fire at the space pirate ship, generating an explosion that seemed to swallow the entire vessel whole.
Before anyone could voice their concern for the sentai group, a giant, mechanical being emerged from the explosion, wielding in their hands two giant blades that appeared to be split from the bowsprit of the ship charged at the fleet, cutting down one ship after the other with relative ease.
"WHAT THE FUCK!?" Natsu and several of his guildmates exclaimed in utter shock.
"Is that the ship!?" Erza asked in disbelief "How did that ship turn into…?!"
"Who the hell cares! This is the greatest thing ever!" Natsu interrupted Erza and roared in pure delight "GO GO GO SPACE PIRATES!"
"Alright!" Luka, who was in her yellow ranger suit, said as she stood behind her own control panel after the ranger had finished taking down the Zangyack fleet "Onward to Earth!"
"I really hope that the treasure is there!"
"Alright, so Doc is green." Levy nodded her head, writing it down in her notebook after hearing the green ranger talking with his hands resting on the wheel of his control pit.
"It's there, alright!" Marvelous snorted and then turned the wheel, causing the giant robot to turn around and transform back into its ship form before flying toward the Earth.
The scene then changed, returning to Earth and showing the everyday people of the planet, just minding their business until the shadow of the giant sentai spaceship was casted over them, causing them all to look up in shock and wonder. The five pirates then jumped off their ship, using grapple ropes to zip down safely until they landed on a close building overlooking a group of people, who continued to stare at them in shock.
"Pardon the intrusion, Earthlings!" Marvelous then stepped forward and spoke through a speaker to amplify his voice "We are the pirate sentai, Gokaiger."
"Gokaiger… I wonder if I spell it right." Levy said as she wrote down the name in her notebook before showing it to Lucy to ask her opinion.
"So… they showed up in front of the people of Earth and introduced themselves to them just like that." Gray snorted, trying his best not to laugh at the goofy situation the Gokaiger had put themselves in "Alright then."
"And I am Captain Marvelous." Marvelous continued to introduce himself, ignoring the fact that the people standing below him were utterly confused about what was going on. "We've heard the greatest treasure in the universe is on this planet… So why don't you tell us where we can find it?"
"Like they are going to know what it even is. At least be a bit more specific than that." Gray laughed as the rest of the guild chuckled in amusement at the face the people were making while looking up at Marvelous. Obviously, none of them knew what the captain of the Gokaiger was talking about.
"And you better not try to hide it!" Luka said with an annoyed glare to the people of Earth after yanking the speaker from Marvelous, but she immediately got the same thing done to her by Ahim, who stepped forward and took the speaker from her to say.
"Well met, everyone!" She greeted, in a much more polite and elegant manner than both Marvelous and Luka "Now then… that commoner, there!"
She said, pointing her hand at a man standing below, who then pointed at himself after looking around to make sure that he was the one she was addressing.
"Yes, you." Ahim confirmed "Have you heard anything?"
"No, nothing at all."
The mages of Fairy Tail roared in laughter at the man's answer, which he delivered with a very straight face and pure honesty.
"Not even a hearsay?" Ahim asked.
"I am sorry but, I doubt anyone on Earth knows what you are talking about."
"Ain't that a surprise." Gray said, still trying to calm down from the laughter that he had just had, but it ended up getting more intense and prolonged when everyone in the group of Earthlings nodded their heads simultaneously in confirmation of what he had just told Ahim.
"Oh, dear…" Ahim murmured in disappointment, but because she was still holding up the speaker, everyone could hear it.
"So much for the plan." Joe grumbled as he stepped forward to ask Marvelous.
"See!? I told you guys!" Doc whined in clear disappointment, while Luka looked like she was trying her best not to explode in anger and displeasure, especially when Doc suddenly grabbed her and shook her repeatedly, causing her to scoff in annoyance and elbowed him hard in the stomach.
"Hey, she kinda remind me of Erza!" Natsu said while laughing maniacally, but immediately shut up when Erza turned her head and glared at him with a deadly aura.
"What does that mean, Natsu?" She asked, and the pink haired dragon slayer could only respond with some furious shakes of his head.
"What do we do now, Marvelous?!" Luka asked her captain, leaving Doc to groan in pain while holding his stomach.
"Hmm…" After a moment of looking deep in thought, Marvelous exhaled and then turned to his crew, speaking to them in a casual tone "Let us eat."
"Heh! I like this guy!" Natsu grinned before immediately ordering a bowl of ramen from Mira, making the barmaid giggle amusedly before rushing to make his order.
"jeez!" Joe grumbled in displeasure after the whole crew gasped in shock at the order Marvelous had just given them.
"We don't have any of this planet's currency! What do we do!?" Doc asked, causing Marvelous to stop.
"Hey, don't tell me they are going to steal!"
"I mean… they are space pirates. Isn't stealing what pirates normally do?" Lucy asked, remembering all the stories and news she had read and heard about the pirates. Fiore did not exactly have a pirate problem, but she knew the same could not be said to the rest of the world. "Not that I am looking forward to seeing them do it though."
Fortunately for her and many members, Marvelous suddenly said with one hand raised in the air.
"Luka! Your ring!"
"Eh!?" The yellow Gokaiger uttered in surprise, before raising her hand to look at one of the rings that she was wearing, turning repeatedly between them before exclaiming in shock, as she realized what her captain meant.
"Ohhhh! You can't do her like that, man." Gray laughed as the guild laughed at Luka's expression.
"Well, at least this confirms that they are not your typical pirates then." Lucy said with a smile.
"It could be just a title, or a gimmick of them." Makarov said with a pleasant smile.
The scene then changed to that of a jewelry shop, where Marvelous and Luka sold the ring with a price of ten millions.
"I wonder if that is a lot with their currency." Levy wondered while tapping her chin with the end of her pencil. Ten million jewels were a lot in their currency, but it was hard for her to say the same about theirs.
"This is just a loan, got it?!" Luka asked while counting the money as she made her way down the street, walking among the people of Earth while she and her crew followed behind Marvelous, who was being looked at by everyone around him "I want it back, with interest."
"I am pretty sure that won't happen." Doc shook his head and said, causing Ahim and Joe to look at him.
"He's pretty sloppy about that kind of thing." The blue ranger gave his two cents, as Marvelous suddenly came to a halt, causing Luka to bump into him.
"This planet isn't half bad." Marvelous said after observing the people around him "The food on planets like this is usually pretty decent."
"Then why don't we go all out, at a fancy gourmet restaurant?" Doc asked excitedly as he ran up to stand next to Luka, who beamed at him in agreement.
Immediately right after, the team ended up in an empty and relatively normal looking restaurant, with Ahim, Doc and Luka sitting at the same table while Marvelous and Joe sat in front of the chef, with the red Gokaiger having a smug grin on his face.
"This guy…" Natsu said, trying his best not to crack his grin even wider than it already was.
"I mean… that is reasonable spending right there." Lucy giggled, completely agreeing with Marvelous for picking a normal restaurant to eat at, being someone who spent reasonably to save up for rent.
"It smells great, doesn't it?" The captain asked his crew smugly, making Doc and Luka groan in disappointment. "That curry stuff is delicious!"
"That's great, but…"
"Experiencing the life of a commoner like this… it should be an interesting experience!" Ahim said elegantly to Doc, who was resting his head on the table in front of her.
"She's definitely a princess, alright!" Gray said, with many agreeing with him. So far the way that Ahim talked, moved and did things… it all reminded them of a noble lady, or a straight up princess,
"Wonder how she ended up being with these guys and a Gokaiger." Mira mused.
"So, how do we find the greatest treasure in the universe?" Joe asked, glancing over to Marvelous.
"Don't rush. Your brain won't work right if you don't eat." The captain answered simply.
"Agree!"
"Like your brain ever does." Gray snickered, causing Natsu to glare at him.
"Sorry for the wait!" With that said, the chef began to serve the Gokaiger their curry order, placing the dishes down in front of them.
Before the space pirates could even grab their first bite, an explosion suddenly occurred, causing the mages of Fairy Tail to jump in shock. When the explosion died down, the restaurant appeared to be in shambles, with the Gokaiger looking relatively unharmed, but all of their food had been blown away, with Luka crying out in shock as she watched her money going everywhere.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The yellow Gokaiger shrieked, forcing the mages of Fairy tail to cover their ears despite the state of shock that they were in for what had just happened to the Gokaiger "My money! My precious money!"
"What the hell!? The whole restaurant just blew up in her face and all that she cared about was her money?" Macao asked in surprise "This girl…"
"I mean… she did have the reason to. That is all of their money, right?" Lucy chuckled nervously, watching as Joe rushed out of the restaurant. The rest of the Gokaiger then followed him, with Luka remaining behind to grab as much cash as she could, while Marvelous looked severely disappointed that he had nothing left to eat.
"Hey, what about my curry?!" The captain asked the restaurant owner, who was cowering behind the counter.
"No way! Think about it for a sec!" The man shouted back, crossing his arms in front of him in denial. "More importantly, look over there…"
With a scoff, Marvelous got up and rushed with Luka outside, where they then saw a massive fleets of spaceships flying across the sky above them, firing upon the city beneath them just like what they had done several years ago.
"That's one of the Zangyack Fleet's flagships! The Gigant Horse!" Doc said with fear in his voice "The group we dealt with before must have just been an advance force!"
"I knew it." Makarov murmured as this basically confirmed his thought about the Zangyack "The military force of the Zangyack empire must be far larger than it has been shown so far in the recording."
"If that thing is here, then the Zangyack are serious about conquering this planet!"
"Then why are you guys standing there, go fight them!" Natsu asked loudly in confusion.
"It's not wise to charge head first into battle like that, Natsu." Erza shook her head and spoke to him in a firm tone "34 forces of sentai had had to sacrifice themselves to defeat the first fleet. The Gokaiger will be heading to their deaths if they just go fight them."
"Erza is right, Natsu." Makarov nodded his head in agreement with Erza, making Natsu grit his teeth in displeasure.
"I know… it's just…. They can't just leave Earth to be attacked by those guys, right?"
"Geez, go conquer somewhere else!" Luka shouted after she and the rest had to cower down when several laser beams were fired upon. Despite the explosion and destruction that it caused, Marvelous did not look like he cared, as the captain of the Gokaiger remained standing still with his arms crossing over his chest.
"What are we going to do now!? This is no time to be treasure hunting!" Doc uttered in fear.
"Let's head back to the Gokai Galleon for now." Marvelous gave the order after the whole crew had turned their heads to look at him in anticipation.
The scene then changed, revealing a group of soldiers being deployed down from the battleships, being led by the same being whose body looked like blue armor from earlier. The soldiers then charged at the defenseless people of Earth and started assaulting them, sending them running away in fear while their leader destroyed buildings with just a shot from his gun.
"Master Walz Gil! I, force commander Shikabane, look forward to showing you my prowess!" The alien leader declared as he bowed his head formally to the lead ship, the Gigant Horse before he went back to destroy everything in his way. "There is no use running!"
"That bastard! Come on, where are those Gokaiger guys at?" Natsu asked, tapping his foot anxiously and impatiently on the floor when a group of children, who appeared to be protected and led running away by their teachers, were caught by Shikabane, who laughed slyly as he closed in on them.
Soon, the Gokaiger was once again shown on the scene, advancing carefully to avoid all the explosions and destruction around them. The group seemingly ignored all the people who were crying for help until Ahim heard a soap from one of the children and came to a stop, forcing Marvelous to do the same before the rest of his crew followed suit.
"What's wrong?" The captain asked in concern, before following her gaze to look at the group of children as their teacher was seized roughly by her neck by Shikabane, who then threw her down and stepped on her head.
"Aren't we going…?" Doc asked unsurely as he pointed his hand at the direction of their ship.
"They have my sympathy… this planet is done for now." Luka nodded her head and said in agreement, despite the fact that her tone did its best to not show it, her facial expression certainly showed what she was feeling.
And it was at that moment the mages of Fairy Tail realized it. The Gokaiger were not the defenders of love, peace and dream like their predecessors. They were just that… pirates, whose only goal was to seek out the greatest treasure in the universe. They might not be bad people at heart, but they were never freedom fighters who would just step in to protect the innocents without a second thought…
"And they will become an imperial colony…" Joe added solemnly, following after Luka.
"Just like our home…"
This made the mages of Fairy Tail widened their eyes in shock, realizing the reason why Ahim became a Gokaiger with the rest of the crew.
"So they are also victims of war…" Makarov said with a heavy sigh "Poor kid…"
"No wonder why they are hesitating." Wakaba shook his head "They must know better than anyone the fear of facing such a powerful enemy in the Zangyack."
Marvelous, who remained silent the entire time, walked around Ahim and stepped to the front of the group when Shikabane pointed his gun at the face of one of the children. His face showed the conflict that he was having internally, but not for long.
As Shikabane started changing up his firearm, he was then shot by Marvelous, who wielded in his hand a gun of his own, shocking the commander and his group of soldiers.
"Who was that!?"
The Zangyack commander asked angrily, and he soon got his answer when he saw Marvelous walking toward him with his gun still emitting the smoke of his shot, with his crew following closely at his side.
"Alright!" The mages of Fairy Tail cheered out, feeling both excited and relieved that the Gokaiger had decided to step in and fight.
"So this is what you meant, Tsukasa." Makarov smiled, silently thanking the young man who had given them the recording of the Gokaiger.
"You bastards! Well, if it is not those wanted pirates!" Shikabane grumbled as he and his soldiers walked up to face the Gokaiger "What do you think you are doing?"
"Who knows." Marvelous replied with a casual air about him.
"Probably some idiotic treasure hunt… I will let you off this one time, so get lost!" Shikabane said smugly, waving his hand dismissively at the Gokaiger.
"Shut up, idiot!"
"I-Idiot!?"
An eruption of laughter went off among the members of Fairy tail at the shock and awkwardness in Shikabne's voice upon being insulted so randomly by Luka, who had a smirk on her face when she did so.
"You will be the one getting lost." With a snort, Joe then told the commander, his face showing nothing but confidence.
Moving her hand elegantly, Ahim then gave her two cents, "I am afraid we have no intention of listening to anything you have to say."
"I guess… that is an elegant way to tell them." Lucy giggled softly at Ahim, with many thinking the same and believing that some members of their guild could learn a thing or two about manners from the pink Gokaiger.
"Me too, I hate guys like you!" Doc added, his face devoiding of the fear that he had earlier.
"I guess this guy is not half bad either." Natsu grinned, having his opinion about Doc completely changed.
"It is reasonable to have fear, you know." Makarov smiled warmly at the young fire dragon slayer, who snickered and rubbed his nose in response before turning back to watch the recording.
"Are you people insane?!" Shikabane asked in disbelief as he pointed at them "This is the Zangyack Space Empire we are talking about! Do you realize what you are doing?"
"We sure do." Marvelous answered as he and his crew brought out from the back pocket the key that closely resembled their sentai suit, which they then activated, causing the bottom area to flip up and show the symbol of their Super sentai "But when we don't like something, we wreck it. That is what it means to be a pirate, right?"
"Guess that is a cool way of saying… we don't like you hurting those people, so we will beat you." Mira giggled softly behind her hand. "Alright then, Gokaiger. Show us what you got."
And with that, the five Gokaiger simultaneously brought out a second device, which they then flipped open and inserted the key into after pointing it in front of them while shouting out simultaneously "GOKAI CHANGE!"
Twisting the key, causing the upper half of the phone to shine brightly with their respective colors, the Gokaiger then extended it forward and transformed, engulfing themselves in a bright flash of light that then materialized in parts of their suit.
First, it was their black under suit bearing their symbols, and then the outer colored layers with the collars and belt, and last was their helmets, with the black visors being inserted in last.
"Gokai red!"
"Gokai blue!"
"Gokai yellow!"
"Gokai green!"
"Gokai Pink!"
"Pirate Sentai, GOKAIGER!"
With that announcement from the sentai, the whole Fairy Tail erupted with cheers and cries of excitement, with Natsu being the one who was most excited for their transformation sequence as well as their final pose together.
Marvelous then brought out his other weapon, a long curved blade to wield alongside his gun, the rest of the Gokaiger followed suit, bringing out theirs as they all got ready to fight.
"Let's make a show of it!" Saying that, Marvelous then aimed his gun forward and fired multiple shots in quick succession that immediately took out several soldiers standing around Shikabane, who also got shot once but did not fall down like soldiers.
The Gokaiger then charged into battle, with Marvelous and Luka leaping over a destroyed wall to bring their swords down upon Shikabane and the Zangyack soldiers heading toward them, pushing them back with swift and fast sword strikes.
"You Gormin, take care of them!" Shikabane commanded as he faced Marvelous in combat, but the command from the commander was easier said than done as the Gokaiger proved themselves to be a formidable fighting unit, using their environment to their advantage while showing impeccable skills with their weapons.
As the mage of Fairy Tail watched the Gokaiger fought the army of Zangyack soldiers, cheering and clapping their hands for them every time they took out multiple groups, several members could also see that each member's fighting style also showed their personalities clearly, with Ahim being the one who fought most elegantly, while Doc was clumsy with his movement but still incredibly effective.
Joe and Marvelous, meanwhile, impressed them the most with their skills. Marvelous was aggressive yet casual with his attacks, beating the Gormin soldiers in the random ways that they would never be expected, while Joe wielded his blade with the grace and swiftness of the skills of an extremely talented swordsman, defeating one enemy after another with even more ease than the other three.
"Doc!" Marvelous called out to the green Gokaiger when he looked up and saw him being chased by a group of soldiers on the rooftop of a nearby building.
Acknowledging the captain with a nod, Doc then threw him his sword, just as Joe tossed Marvelous his gun, which he then exchanged for them. Dual wielding those identical weapons, both Joe and Doc became even deadlier in combat, bringing down enemies faster than they could start grouping up around the two.
"Amazing!" Erza gasped in amazement as she watched Joe fight with the two blades, cutting down one enemy after another with more graces than any swordsmen she had ever had the chance to dual in her life.
His speed while dual wielding them was also on a level of its own, as he easily cut down the three projectiles being fired at him at the same time before they could reach him, sending them splitting away and exploding behind him in the process.
"Ahim!" Following the example of the two, Ahim and Luka also swapped one of their weapons respectively, with the pink Gokaiger bringing the guns into the fight on a nearby destroyed building, shooting down the enemies around her with the same grace that she had before.
At the same time, Luka dual wielded their swords and slashed violently at the enemies around her, though she did so only for a moment before she threw one of her weapons away. The sword then stabbed into one of the Zangyack soldiers before flying back to Luka, who then swung both of her blades around using long, thin ropes, slashing and cutting every soldier around her faster than their eyes could keep up with the speed of her weapons. Nothing could get close to her from that point on
"holy crap this girl can fight!" Many members of Fairy Tail cried out in shock and amazement, even though it was hard for them to keep up with what she had just done, especially the way she had swung those swords around her in a whirlwind of destruction.
"Jeez, where are these guys coming from?!" Luka asked in displeasure after catching both of her weapons and looking at the Gormin soldiers once that they had formed a tight line of information in front of her.
"Then let's give them one of those!" Marvelous said as he regrouped with the rest of his crew around Luka.]
"Oh, that!?" Joe asked, despite the fact that he did not sound surprised in the slightest.
"I remember that!" Doc joined in, excitedly.
"Splendid idea!" Ahim said, nodding her head to the green Gokaiger.
With that, Marvelous tapped his belt, causing it to turn around and reveal another key. This one, however, bore the figurine of the red ranger who had led the 34 sentai into the legendary war against the Zangyack Empire.
"No way, don't tell me that he's gonna…" Erza gasped, as the rest of Fairy Tail immediately came to the realization of what it could possibly mean.
Simultaneously, the other members of the crew brought out their respective keys, rangers who had fought the closest to the red ranger whose key Marvelous was holding in his hand. Together, the group inserted it into their transforming device and changed their forms and suits with a 'Gokai change' shout.
"GORANGER!" In their new forms, the Gokaiger attacked the group of Zangyack soldiers with greater acrobatic skills, all the while tossing to one another a large, round object that then transformed into a large garbage truck, which then sucked in every soldier standing closest to it before driving away.
Seeing that his force was losing, Shikabane re-joined the fight, charging at Marvelous but the red ranger simply and swiftly dodged all of his attacks before bringing out another key with his team.
"GOKAI CHANGE!"
"They can turn into other sentai?!" With that, Natsu could no longer control his excitement anymore and uttered loudly in shock as the Gokaiger swapped to the sword wielding samurai sentai he and everyone had seen only briefly during the war after their device announcing the name of their sentai group, Shinkenger.
"And judging by the look of it, they can use their powers and weapons as well." Makarov said in amazement, watching as the Gokaiger in their Shinkenger form took down another group of soldiers before bringing out another set of keys to transform into Magiranger "Magi… wait, magic!?"
"They can use magic in that form?" was the only thing that Lucy could utter as the Gokaiger casted a barrage of elemental spells of their respective color at their enemies, blowing them all away and leaving only Shikabane remaining behind.
"That was a nice display, but I am sick of it!" The commander said as he raised his gun, with the Gokaiger not looking worried in the slightest "Goodbye!"
With that said, he fired upon the Gokaiger, not just from his gun but every other part of his armor, which revealed itself to be a weapon of its own. The combined assault generated a powerful explosion around the Gokaiger, but Marvelous, whose weapon was tossed into the air and then transformed back into his pirate sword, leaped into the air and then shot down to slash Shikabane along with the rest of his crew, attacking him one after another, bot giving him even the slightest chance to breathe.
"Let's end it!" With a strong kick, Marvelous knocked Shikabane onto his back, and brought out from his buckle his Gokaiger key with the rest of the crew doing the same thing with theirs. Bringing up their swords, the group inserted their keys into the lock that swung down after pressing a button on the other side and turned it, causing the blades to glow brightly with their respective colors.
"Here we go." Erza said as the mages of Fairy Tail held their breath, knowing just by the look of it that the Gokaiger was about to unleash their strongest attacks yet.
"FINAL WAVE!" The sword itself announced, as the Gokaiger readied their weapons for the attack, with their weapons building up more and more energy until Marvelous and the Gokaiger unleashed it, slashing their swords down one after another and unleashing five waves of crescent shaped energy at Shikabane, causing the commander to cry out in pain and horror before falling down and meeting his end in an explosion of power.
"YEAHHH!" In that moment, Fairy Tail erupted with loudest cheer and cries of excitement for the Gokaiger, one that could be heard from all over Magnolia as the sentai group triumphed over the commander of the Zangyack empire.
"Gotta admit. They made it look easy." Gray said with a smirk, with Juvia nodding her head to him in agreement.
"I have a feeling it will only get harder for them from now on as they fight the Zangyack, but yes… they really are strong with that incredible power of theirs." Mira smiled before tapping her chin in a thoughtful manner "I wonder how they were able to get their hands on such powers, or is it something that comes normally with their sentai power."
"Maybe when the ranger sacrificed their powers, those powers did not disappear but transformed themselves into those keys that the Gokaiger had." Erza theorized, which Mira could not agree more. "I wonder if the Gokaiger has all the keys, or just some of them."
"Well, they must have a lot of them, judging by that chest we saw Marvelous with earlier." Levy pointed out, making her guildmates widen their eyes in realization as they remembered the chest that Marvelous had at the start of the recording.
"Well, now we have done it." Luka said with her chin resting on the palm of her hand "The empire is going to be out for blood now."
"Ehhh!" Doc gasped.
"I guess so." Marvelous agreed, causing the fearful green Gokaiger to rush over to him and grab his shoulders.
"This is bad, Marvelous. We need to ditch Earth as soon as possible."
"Well, there he is again." Gray chuckled with a roll of his eyes "And I thought he was pretty cool earlier for standing up so confidently like that."
"Same." Natsu laughed.
Before Doc could continue to try to convince him to leave, Marvelous shot his hand out and grabbed his head to make him stop, before turning around to look at the group of children and teacher from earlier, as they stood there and gazed at the group in amazement.
"How may we help you?" Ahim asked politely as she walked toward them, while the rest just stared at them in wonder.
"Thank you!" One of the children said.
"Thank you for saving us!" One of the teachers lowered her head gratefully to them, but Marvelous simply walked away without even saying a single word to them.
"What are you talking about?" Joe asked with a smirk, before following his captain, leaving the group of children and their teacher utterly confused.
"I mean… I have the feeling that they are being noble and probably don't want to take the credit, but still…" Lucy said unsurely, not knowing if the Gokaiger was trying to act cool, or if they just did not care at all with what they had done.
"We are just space pirates. We are here looking for treasures." Luka said absently before walking away, leaving only Ahim behind to gaze longingly at them for a moment before walking away as well.
"Then why did you fight against them?" The other teacher asked, causing Ahim to stop in her tracks.
"That's because…"
"My curry rice." Marvelous stopped and answered before Ahim could do it while looking over his shoulder, although his answer was met by surprise even by his crew, except for Joe "Our lunch was ruined, so we were in a bad mood. That sounds about right."
"To be fair, he did look really pissed off when he realized his meal was gone." Lucy said while chuckling nervously.
"I mean… I would too." Natsu grinned and then went right back to eating rice curry, which he had ordered from Mira after seeing the Gokaiger ordering it. The food appeared to be one of the many things that their worlds shared with one another.
With that said, the whole group began to leave, with Ahim smiling brightly before going after Marvelous, Joe and Luka, with Doc remaining behind to assure the children that they had no reason to thank them. With a bright smile, Doc then turned around and walked away, leaving the children and their teachers even more confused than before.
And with that, the recording came to an end.
