At the top of Ganondorf's Castle, Zelda was currently listening to Ganondorf playing the organ.
"He'll be here soon"! Zelda yelled from inside her crystal prison.
She knew that he couldn't hear her, but she said it anyway.
Suddenly, the door to the chamber opened, and Link and Navi came into the chamber.
Link looked a little tired from all the stairs, and he had a few cuts from fighting the monsters downstairs.
Ganondorf turned around to face him, and dramatically flourished his cape.
"I should've known it would be you kid. Do you even remember that day at the bridge"? Ganondorf taunted.
Soon after the battle began. After defeating Ganondorf, the Castle began to crumble.
Zelda was set free, and Link and Navi joined her in running down the stairs.
They were stopped several times by falling debris and minions of Ganondorf, wishing to fulfill their masters' wishes before death.
They reached the final gate, and Zelda was about to open it when she suddenly disappeared from Link's sight.
He looked around in confusion and had to use his Goron hammer to open the gate. He luckily made it out right as the castle collapsed.
He proceeded to fight Ganon, and almost triumphed, but without the help of the final Sage, Link tragically lost the battle.
Meanwhile, Zelda found herself spinning through a green portal. She landed in a green field, but it was nothing like Hyrule. She slowly stood up and looked at her surroundings. It was dark, but after a few seconds, she realized that it had only been a solar eclipse. She also saw that instead of one moon in front of the sun, there were two. One was pink, and the other was blue. She then realized that she must have crossed over into another world.
She began to panic as she thought of the fate of Hyrule, and whether Link would be able to make it out of the castle. While thinking about all this, the Triforce of Wisdom spoke to her.
"There is nothing you can do about Hyrule now. All you can do is move forward in this new world. Gather information, and maybe you can find a way back" it said.
Zelda took its advice and walked towards a plume of smoke in the distance.
The plume of smoke turned out to be a small house. She knocked on the door, and it was opened by a man around the age of twenty. He looked tired, and his clothes were worn as if he had been working.
The man asked a question rudely, but paused as he looked at her. He then bowed and spoke again, but fearfully this time. The language he spoke was unfamiliar to Zelda, and even her Triforce of Wisdom couldn't help her out. She found herself at a loss and made a motion at her throat, and signaled him to stand up.
As he did he looked at her again, and pointed to her ears, which were much more pointed than his round ones. Zelda laughed and pointed back at his own ears. He seemed to also find this funny, and motioned for her to come inside.
Over the next few months the man taught Zelda to speak and read their language. They eventually fell in love and got married. She found out that this new world was a land of noble mages and common peasants. The man she fell in love with was from a previously well thought of noble family, but had decided to live on his own. His name was Henry Harkinian. He and Zelda then had children, and raised a family. They were able to make up with Henry's family, but their social status was nothing like it had been before.
Several generations later, the Harkinian family had become close to the Royal family, and was able to send their children to a magic school. However, several people still despised the family for breeding with what they referred to as an elf. Even though it was actually a Hylian that joined the family. Due to this, each generation had the pointed ears of a Hylian, and people teased them for it.
This was exactly the way that Zelda's great granddaughter was treated. There was only one person who treated her well, and that girl was also teased, but for a different reason. That girl was Louise, and the two girls were about to be in the same boat even more than they had previously.
