In the dark of night on the archipelago, out on the waters of a calm and quiet sea sailed a fleet of Dragon Hunter ships. The vessels were currently crawling with hunters that were just returning home from their latest hunt.

Down in the wooden depths of the ships were several captured dragons. The winged reptiles snarled and roared in aggression, wanting to be freed from their cages. One of the hunters, who was guarding the dragons, walked over to a cage that held a green and yellow Deadly Nadder before banging his axe against the cage's dragon proof bars.

"Hey! Quiet in their, you pests!", the hunter shouted before walking away.

The Nadder growled at the man as he walked away.

Back up on the decks of the ships, hunters were keeping an eye out for any Dragon Riders who would try to free their latest catch. They watched the dark skies when one of them spotted a spectral glow in the distance. A very specific glow that belonged to one dragon.

A Flightmare.

The hunter smirked, thinking that he had hit the jackpot before turning to his comrades.

"Head a course to the light!", he shouted. "We have a Flightmare to catch."

As the ships began to head towards the glow, the hunters were unaware of two winged shadows silently flying over them. Once they were sure they were in the clear, the figures quietly landed on the deck of one of the ships before delivering a blast of fire to the deck, sending a few hunters flying into the water.

"What the-? Raid-!", a hunter shouted before being sprayed with a blue mist, freezing him in place.

From there, all hell broke loose.

The ships were soon under attack by a flock of thirty dragons!

Flightmares froze the remaining hunters, Timberjacks tore the sails of the ships, Deadly Nadders destroyed the catapults and ballistas, and Gronckles shielded the other dragons from Dragon Root arrows. During the battle, two ships tried to escape, but they were stopped by a group of Scauldrons. The large sea dragons then swam around the fleet of ships to prevent anymore ships from escaping.

As the battle raged on, more hunters ran out from the lower decks to fight off the onslaught. In their haste, however, they had left a hatch open, allowing a cloaked figure to slip inside.

Below the ship, the figure looked around the area to check if there were any hunters still in the hull. When they were sure the coast was clear, they crept over to the cages before stopping in front of the Nadder's cage. The dragon growled at the figure, telling them to back off.

"Shh...", the figure whispered in a soft voice. "It's okay. We're gonna get you out of here."

The Nadder stared at the figure in shock and confusion. Why would a human want to help her?

"Okay, Camo. You know what to do.", the figure said, looking to the right.

Suddenly, a hissing sound was heard and a creature revealed itself before the caged dragon. The creature, which was a Titan Wing Changewing, then spewed its green acid on the bars of the cage, and in no time at all, the bars broke and fell off the hinges. The Nadder looked at her saviors in disbelief as the two made their way to free the other dragons.

Once the figure was done, they took note of the dragon species that were captured. There were other Nadders, as well as Monstrous Nightmares, Gronckles, Hideous Zipplebacks, and a few Thunderdrums.

"Perfect.", the figure said, watching as the dragons flew out of the ship, before they headed to the next one.

Outside of the ships, another figure was up high in the air, watching the carriage unfold while sitting on the back of a Titan Wing Skrill. When the figure saw all the previously captive dragons fly out of the ships, along with their comrade, they knew their work here was done. The figure patted the Strike Class dragon on the back twice, as if signaling it. The Skrill nodded before letting out a thunderous roar.

The other dragons heard the Titan Wing and flew away from the hunter ships, except for the Singetails. A third figure, who was riding on a Titan Wing Flightmare, gave a shrill whistle and the Stoker Class dragons let loose a blazing inferno, setting the entire fleet on fire! The hunters that weren't frozen screamed as the flames engulfed their vessels and jumped into the ocean to escape their fiery grave. The group then flew away from the area as the hunter ships began to sink, the fires extinguishing as they disappeared beneath the waves.

"Alright, everyone. Good work.", the second figure said in a feminine voice.

The first figure let out a yawn and stretched out their arms before laying down on the back of their Changewing. "Yep, I think we did pretty good.", they added in a more masculine voice. The third figure nodded.

Suddenly, the group heard several cooes and squawks from behind them. They all turned around and came face-to-face with not only the dragons that helped them, but also those that they had previously rescued.

"What do we do about them?", the third figure asked in a smoother feminine voice, gesturing to the flock of forty-four.

"What we always do, we take them to the Mystery Isles.", replied the first figure. "Besides, we have plenty of room."

"Well, then we better get moving before more hunter ships show up.", stated the second figure.

The two females nodded in agreement, and the group lead the flock away from the area. They flew for what seemed like hours before flying into a thick blanket of fog.
