I don't own Kingdom Hearts. It belongs to Square Enix and Disney. Hey, everyone, yes, I know, it is yet another fanfiction in the making when I have others that I need to make others on but this little AU popped into my head when re-reading some of Is Og Ild fanfics hoping the Author will update them some day soon. That made me come up with this new AxelXElsa and Sokai story! Trust me, it'll be worth while, especially for fans of these two ships and Star Wars fans. You'll see what I mean in future chapters for the latter. But anyways, let's go over a few things that happened so no one gets confused.
First, this an post KH3 AU, as you'll soon discover. This time, Kairi held her own in the Keyblade War and didn't end up get struck down by Xehanort. Sora did not disappear by the end the game and everyone had a happy ending.
Sora never visited Arendelle with Donald and Goofy. In fact the events of the film hasn't happened yet. Not to mention, Kairi is the youngest sister of Elsa and Anna.
Trust me, when I say things get only crazier from here. Anyways, without further ado, let's start this fanfic off with the first chapter! Enjoy!
Three months. It has almost been three months after the Keyblade War and Sora's final victory over Master Xehanort. During said war, while having many close calls, things turned out for the best in the end. Everyone under Xehanort's influence had been freed. The three missing Keyblade Wielders that were missing had been found and were reunited. Heck, Axel even managed to get all of his friends back. From back to the teenage days of Radiant Garden with Isa, to the good old Twilight Days with his best friends within the first Organization, Roxas and Xion. Still, no one knew where Axel and Isa's missing friend was, but Sora seemed very confident they'd find her, and the former believed him.
Most importantly, no one had been tragically killed during the war. Kairi had a close call when Xemnas tried to take her, but just before the war, she requested training from Master Aqua. She had been a better Wielder of the Keyblade than she had ever been before. She was no one's damsel in distress anymore. Which gave Sora complete confidence when he, Donald, and Goofy confronted the elder Keyblade Master.
If you had to ask Axel, things were all said and done. Xehanort was gone. All their friends including Naminè were back and the one that was still missing the scientists back on Radiant Garden were looking into it now that the crisis was over and they didn't have anything else to worry about. Sure, Maleficent and Pete were still out there, but they didn't so much lift a finger prior to the war. From what Sora told the others, they were looking for a black box that might not even exist so... as long as they were going on this wild goose chase, they weren't going to be a problem.
So, why was Axel hanging around Kairi as she prepared to meet her long-lost family... "Is that even the right way to say it when she was the one who was lost?"
The former Organization member crossed his arms as Kairi packed up, "So... repeat this over one more time, what are we doing?"
"I told you countless times Axel," The Princess of Heart answered as she placed a set of clothes in her suitcase, "We're going to reunite with my family."
"But wasn't your family back on Radiant Garden?" The fiery redhead pointed out, "You know, back on your homeworld?"
"Well, my Grandma did live there," Kairi admitted as she went through her draws to pick out another outfit, "But I spoke with Ansem, the real one, and he told me that I'm actually not native to Radiant Garden but another world. I was visiting when Xehanort made his move. I actually have older sisters..." She frowned, "The worst part is, I don't remember a thing about them. Just grandma."
Axel rubbed the back of his head, "Okay, did not see this coming..."
Kairi then smiled out brightly, "But one of them recently sent me a letter, said she wanted to meet me after all this time. Ansem gave me the location of my actual homeworld and I want to see them."
"Okay, that explains why your packing," He nodded as he leaned on her bedroom door, "But why am I here?"
"Well, she actually pulled a few strings," The Princess placed the last of her clothes in her suitcase, "And I'm allowed to bring two friends to their castle."
"Castle?" Axel blinked, "Wait, doesn't that make you a legitimate princess?"
"I guess so," She shrugged, "I mean, we are invited to our eldest sister's Coronation in a few days, she's going to be Queen."
"...Okay, let me rephrase the question," The former Nobody nodded, "Why am I here? Why not invite Sora and Riku? Aren't they your closest friends?"
"They were actually my first choice," She admitted as she closed her suitcase, "Sora agreed without hesitation..."
"For obvious reasons," Axel smirked slightly.
Kairi blinked in confusion, "I'm... not sure what you're talking about..."
"Aw, c'mon, it's no secret you two shared a paopu fruit before the war," Her fellow redhead teased her, "Got it completely memorized! He clearly wants to make a good impression on them when you introduce him as your boyfriend."
"Sora's not my boyfriend!" Kairi blushed hard as she dropped her suitcase on the floor.
"Mmmmhmmm!" Axel smirked, "Now how did that old legend go? 'When two people share one, their destinies become intertwined. They become apart each other's lives no matter what.' He then told her sarcastically, "...so, he's absolutely not your boyfriend. Not after you're the one who thrust that fruit into his lap."
After blushing a moment longer, she cleared her throat, "Anyways, like I said Sora didn't hesitate. He'd never miss a chance to visit a new world and make new friends. He said he'd like to meet my family as much as I do." Axel's smirk didn't leave him, as she continued, "When I asked Riku... well, something came up with Master Yen Sid, and he won't be back in time for the Coronation. So, I figured after all we've been through, training to become Keyblade Masters, you'd want to tag along."
"Yeah, the whole hanging out with royalty..." Axel tried to turn to leave as Kairi stood her suitcase back up, "Not my cup of tea... so best of wishes..."
Before he could, Kairi stood in front of him, "Hold on, you get along with me and King Mickey just fine."
"You weren't raised by royalty," Axel pointed out, "And the King I can respect as a Keyblade Master. In fact, why not invite him?"
"Also checking into the matter with Master Yen Sid," The Princess pointed out.
"What about Terra, Ven, or Aqua?"
"They haven't see each other for over ten years, it would seem cruel to split them up now."
"Well, what about my friends? I couldn't even remember Xion until the war, Roxas was inside Sora for over a year with Xion before they finally rejoined us in the Realm of Light. And I still have lots of catching up to do with Isa."
"You know as much as I do those two are sharing new memories with Hayner, Pence, and Olette. And Isa practically requested that I take you."
"You really going to take a request from him?!" Axel asked her, before his eyes lit up, "Oh, what about Naminè?! She's like your sister too, isn't she?! Why not take her?!"
"Actually, we did talk about that but we weren't exactly sure how to explain how she came to be," Kairi admitted, "We thought it best if we waited a bit before she'd make herself known to them. Until then, she's hanging out with Roxas and Xion."
"Well, what about one of your other fellow Princesses, surely they could-" He raised a figure as he tried to find a way around her.
"Order." Was all that Kairi needed to say to make him realize why that was a bad idea.
"Oh, right..." Axel rubbed the back of his head.
"C'mon, Axel, I never asked anything of you anything before," Kairi pleaded, "I need another friend there, outside of Sora, please."
Axel was about to full-out reject her. Him and hanging out with the rich and powerful? Ew! The only reason why he and Isa took the job working with Ansem the Wise was to find their missing friend, and that didn't turn out well with them losing their hearts and becoming Xemnas's pawns. He never wanted to hang out with a political figure, outside of Mickey and Kairi, unless he absolutely had to. He opened his mouth to respond when Kairi gave him a look that Xion pulled on him many times during the Organization, the puppy dog pout. Axel froze, "Aw, crud! My only weakness! Did Xion tell her? Traitor! No sea salt ice cream for her!" Kairi then sniffled, "...unless she does that... guess I really did have a heart when she pulled that trick on me back in the old days..." He sighed in defeat, "...so, when is this thing again?"
Kairi brightened up as she picked up her suitcase, "We leave first thing tomorrow, so I suggest you pack what you need for the next for days. And you don't need to worry about finding a tux for the Coronation, my sisters will set us up when we arrive." She then added, "Just try to not burn everything down."
"Alright, alright..." Axel raised his hands in defeat, "I'll be on my best behavior." He then finally was allowed to leave as he muttered to himself, "I better get packing for this stupid princess family reunion."
As he headed downstairs, he was about to open the door, before Kairi ran past him, "Actually, I should probably make sure Sora does just throw his stuff willy nilly into his bags... or worse... just stuff his stuff in his pockets."
"In fairness, you'd be surprised what you can fit in your pockets these days," Axel lightly thought to himself, as he watched her rush over to Sora's house. He sighed to himself, "At least this torture doesn't start until tomorrow..."
"I really need to stop turning in so early," Axel grumbled to himself as the day seemed to become tomorrow in mere moments. Now, they were no longer on the Destiny Islands, they had traveled to this strange new world, by GummiShip. Now, as they made their way to Arendelle's castle, the two redheads were accompanied by the three-time savoir of Kingdom Hearts and Kairi's 'total not boyfriend' Sora.
The boy's grin hadn't seemed to fade even when they left the islands. Unlike Axel, he was more than eager to meet and befriend Kairi's sisters. Seriously, there had yet to be a day when someone he wouldn't just meet and who hadn't tried to kill him ended up becoming his friend. Heck, he made friends with those who DID try to kill him in the past and ended up bringing out their very best. It was almost impossible for someone to deny friendship with the spiky-haired boy.
Just as well, he guessed. He may very well become in-laws with them. He glanced at Axel as he carried his bags, "I don't see why you're so upset with coming here, Axel. I'm sure Kairi's sisters are going to be the very best."
Kairi giggled as the former Nobody glanced at him, "Easy for you to say, you're already friends with many royals. And that's not counting the King or Kairi."
"Relax, Axel," The Princess of Heart reassured him, "I'm sure you're just a day away when you're sharing sea salt ice cream with them. They'll love you..." She then glanced to Sora, "...both of you."
Sora looked away slightly bashful as they approached the gates, and Axel couldn't help but notice, "Yeah, nothing says love like a closed gate to the general public. Especially since we're coming here."
"What is with that," The original Keyblade's Chosen asked, "Why did they close the gates to the world?"
"Well, my sister told me from her letters that our parents had closed the gates since she was a little girl," Kairi answered before admitting, "She doesn't know why though, but I'm sure my father had his reasons."
"Maybe, it has something to do with you vanishing from Radiant Garden," Sora thought aloud, "Maybe he was afraid of losing your sisters too."
"I guess that's possible," Kairi shrugged before smiling, "He didn't know that I ended up on the islands where I would me my two best friends and have the best journey of our lives." Sora chuckled as Axel rubbed the back of his head, Kairi shook her head, "Except it doesn't matter, we're allowed inside before the gates are open to the general public in a few days. It'll be great."
"Yeah," Sora nodded in agreement.
Axel merely sighed in response before noticing some of towns folk give them strange looks. Guess their fashion sense was a bit futuristic compared to what everyone was wearing. Sora didn't seem to notice. Maybe he was used to it considering he'd always traveled with Donald and Goofy to the other worlds and got these kinds of looks all the time... that or he had always been that oblivious.
As the entrance to the castle was only a few footsteps away, Kairi turned to them, "One last thing, I haven't really mentioned to her of what happened with Xehanort and the Organization the past few years. I'm honestly so sure these people are fans of..." She then whispered, "...magic..." She then spoke up more clearly, "So, I thought it best we don't start off mentioning our adventures in the other worlds..."
"Like me kidnapping you to bring back Roxas," Axel stated, "Then losing you to the Organization so they could use you against Sora."
"And getting involved in the Keyblade War for the fate of the Realm of Light," Sora added, "Or any mention of the other worlds and the Keyblade."
"Pretty much," The Princess of Heart stated, "I figure we can talk about that much... much later. For now, just let them you're some of the best guys I know. K?"
"No problem," Sora nodded.
"Got it," Axel shrugged.
Kairi then turned back to the castle before taking a deep breath, "Well, here goes nothing."
As Kairi led the two to the castle, one of the guards stopped her, "Halt, if you're here for the Coronation, then you're early. Gates aren't open for a few days."
"Actually, we were invited to come earlier," Kairi spoke up as she set her suitcases down to pull out her letters, "See?"
Handing her the letters over to the guard, he examined them before his eyes widened in shock, looking back to her, "Princess Kairi?!" The other guards nearby as then all knelt before her, "You're royal Highness!"
"Oh, boy," Axel muttered as people really began to notice them, "Here we go..."
"Oh, there's no need for that," Kairi tried to reassure the guard.
"No, this is necessary," The first guard told her, "We word said you vanished from Radiant Garden, our former King and Queen, may they rest in peace, tasked us to search for you. We failed. And we are so very sorry."
"It's fine. Honest," The Princess of Heart reassured him, "I was fine." She smiled to both Sora and Axel, "I ended up safe among friends."
Sora grinned as Axel nodded, Kairi turned to them, "I would really like to meet my sisters. I say our reunion is long overdue..."
"Of course, Your Highness," The guard nodded, "Princess Anna has expecting you for some time. We didn't think you'd arrive this early." He turned to the other soldiers, "Open the gates, and inform the Queen and Princess that their sister and her honored guests have arrived."
They nodded as the soldiers proceeded to open the gates, allowing the three Guardians of Light inside the castle. Kairi smiled as she went to retrieve her suitcases, before the guard reassured her, "There's no need for that. We'll make sure your belongings end up in your room."
"It's really no trouble," Kairi reassured the head guard.
"Nonsense," The guard declared as he picked up the Princess's suitcases, "It's our duty." He then instructed the other guards, "See to it the Princess's honored guest belongings go to their guest rooms within the castle."
They nodded as they did as instructed, first taking Sora's, who smiled in appreciation, "Gee, thanks!"
"Huh," Axel couldn't help but admit as another took his, "Guess having a Princess as a friend has its perks."
"C'mon, guys," Kairi turned to Sora and Axel, "Time to meet the family."
With that, the three Weilders of the Keyblade entered inside the castle leaving the people baffled. Axel couldn't help but chuckle, guess its been so long, that this world believed they only had the two Princesses. Boy, if only they knew the whole story...
Meanwhile, Princess Anna paced within the living quarters of the castle. Weeks ago, she had discovered an old address to her grandmother's old home. Out of pure curiosity, she thought of sending a letter over to her. She wasn't that surprised to hear she had already passed away as she was informed by that city's leader, Ansem the Wise. She was shocked to be informed that her long-lost little sister was alive.
After Ansem was kind enough to give her the address where she was currently living, she sent her a letter. And she actually replied back to her. It turns out, that she somehow ended up on some island she never heard of with no memory of Arendelle. Even so, writing back and forward with each other, she actually looked forward to meeting her.
So, she went to speak with their elder sister, soon to be officially Queen in a few days, to see if she could convince her to invite her to the Coronation. Elsa didn't believe her at first, as usually she kept her door shut and told her to go away. But she then showed her the letter from Ansem and the letters she received from Kairi. Slide them right under the door, and she remembered the words she told her, "Elsa... these letters are real... Kairi is alive. And she wants to see us. She can't remember Arendelle anymore and would like to know all about our home. Just... let her in. Heck, let her bring some of her trusted friends here. She should be allowed to come back home... she's our sister after all..."
Sometime later, Elsa must have read the letters and ultimately agreed to allow Kairi back into the castle a few days early. Even to make her feel more comfortable, she allowed her to bring two guests along too. Anna felt so giddy when she wrote the letter to her to inform her welcome back home. She barely remembered memories of Kairi coming home. She was still a baby when Elsa shut her out, and just vanished one day when she went to visit Grandma's old homes when they were still kids. Hopefully, she would make some new memories with her, and together, Elsa could open up to the two of them.
When she heard Kai mention Kairi had arrived sooner than expected, she couldn't believe her own ears. Still, quickly thought of ways to greet her little sister, "Let's see... Hi, Kairi, how's it been?"
She then frowned, "Yeah, no, too plain..." She then brightened up, "Kairi, is that you?! How long has it been?! ...twelve years?"
Not liking that introduction either, she decided to switch tactics. Pretending she was an animatronic, she jolted her limbs, like a machine, "Hi, Kairi. It. Is. Nice. To. Meet. You." Face palming herself, she groaned, "What is wrong with me?!"
After a moment of silence, she turned to a painting of Sir George, "Thanks for the support, George."
Just then, a knock could be heard, as Kai returned, "You're Highness, your little sister has arrived with her friends from the islands."
"Oh, great!" Anna smiled as she straightened herself out, "Send them in."
"Yes, ma'am," Kai nodded as he went to call in for her long-lost sister and guests.
Anna took the final minute, she brush up her dress, making sure she looked good. Took a deep breath, this was it. This very moment could be the key to restoring her broken family... "I wonder if she knows any cute single Princes?"
Just then, the doors opened again, to reveal a girl only a few years younger than herself, with her red hair both shorter and darker than her own. Her outfit was unlike anything she had ever seen. Heck, her dress didn't hide much of her bare legs. However, there was no mistake about who this girl was. This was her little sister and the youngest Princess of Arendelle, Kairi. The girl greeted her with a kind smile, "You must be Anna, it's nice to finally meet-"
At this moment, Anna could contain her excitement no longer. She didn't even acknowledge the boy and the man that accompanied her. She rushed at her pulling her into a tight hug as she squealed, "EEEEEEEEEEEEEE! OH MY GOSH! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE ACTUALLY HERE!"
Kairi returned the hug despite her face turning blue as the older friend of her sister commented turning to the boy, "Man, and I thought you got overly excited when seeing Kairi..."
"Hey, she hasn't seen her for over a decade," The boy defended Anna, "Let her have this."
"It's good to m-meet you," Kairi made out before asking her, "C-can I breath now?"
"Oh, sorry," Anna apologized loosened her grip but still had her hands over her shoulders, "How are you? You look good! I love your hair! And that outfit... it's a good look! A tad revealing in my tastes, but I guess fashions different when you've been living on an island all this time." Kairi blinked as Anna seemed to be speaking 1,000 words a minute, "Does it snow on the islands? If not, do you want a build a snowman? ...next winter I mean, because it doesn't snow in summer here. That be weird. Are their any cute Princes back on the islands? Who raised you after all this time? What's it like being raised outside the castle? How many friends do you-"
"Anna," Kairi smiled in amusement as she placed her own hands on her shoulders, "Breath..." Anna took a deep breath, afterwards she asked her, "You good?"
"Yeah."
"You sure?" The Princess of Heart asked.
"I'm sure," The middle daughter of Arendelle answered.
"Good, we've got plenty of time to talk about these things," Kairi reassured her, "I try to answer any questions you may have. For now, I'll say living on the islands have been great. Everyone is so kind and friendly there. And I've made many friends there." She then gestured to the two she brought along with her, "Two of which, I'd like to introduce to you."
Finally taking full notice of the two individuals, she greeted them, "Oh, hi. I'm Princess Anna of Arendelle. Kairi's sister. But I guess you kinda knew that coming in."
"Anna, this is one of my best friends, Sora," Kairi introduced the boy her age.
"Hi, Anna, it's very nice to finally meet you," Sora greeted her offering her hand. The other one snorted, as most wouldn't greet a Princess this way.
However, Anna didn't mind at all, in fact she smiled brighter, "Oh, so you're Sora! Kairi said a lot about you in her letters!" Gladly shaking his hand, "It's nice to meet you to Sora, I feel like I know you already..." A sly smirk appeared on her face, "In fact, if I didn't know better, I say my dear sister seems to have taken quite a liking to you..."
At that very instant, both teenagers faces turned as red as Kairi's hair. Finally, releasing Sora from her grip, Anna turned to the second individual, as Kairi cleared her throat, "And this is my friend I made during that special... class that I've been taking. Axel."
"Got it memorized?" Axel smirked as he lightly tapped his forehead with two fingers.
"Oh, right that elite class," Anna recalled. Kairi mentioned she was taking a special class back on the islands only certain individuals could participate. "So, that creative arts class, what have you been making over there?"
"Oh, you know, this and that," Axel answered, "Memories to last a lifetime."
"Ah~ I see," Anna nodded as she smiled, "Well, I look forward to hearing more about it." She then shook his hand, "It's nice to meet you as well, Axel."
She then turned to Kairi, "Honestly, I was expecting you to bring that other best friend of yours. Riku. Where is he?"
"He couldn't make it," Kairi's smile lessened, "His new promotion required him to be out of town for a bit, but he said he'll try to make it for the Coronation."
"Oh, well, I guess I got something additional to look forward to that day," The young woman blinked before smiling slightly, "I gotta say though, you're all here earlier than expected."
"Well, Sora was able to borrow his friends' ship, and took us here early," Kairi smiled as she gestured to said boy.
"Woah, you can sail the ship!" Anna stared at Sora in awe.
The teenage boy chuckled as he rested his head behind his hands, "Among other things."
"That is so cool!" The older sister of Kairi stared at the brunette in awe.
"If you think that's cool, you should hear some of Sora's other accomplishments," Kairi smiled before she looked around, "You know, I was expecting to see both my sisters here. Where's Elsa?"
Anna frowned for a brief moment, before giving her a sad smile, "Right... I forgot to mention that in our letters..."
"Hmmm?" Kairi blinked in confusion...
Unknown to them, Elsa was currently peaking through the door, and listening to the conversation at hand. When Anna told her that Kairi was alive and wished to meet, she thought Anna mistook a stranger claiming to be their sister probably wanting whatever riches they had. However, when Anna gave her the letters she had received, including one coming from Radiant Garden's own ruler, Ansem the Wise, those thoughts changed.
She remembered the constant visits from Grandma, the many stories she would tell them as children of her homeland she would bring them. Even bringing Kairi along, so that she could learn of where she came from. She never really understood why she only took Kairi but her mother always told her that she had her reasons. Just as well, she likely would have been a threat to them as much as she was to Arendelle if she didn't control the curse.
She also recalled her mentioning their ruler, Ansem. A kind and good man, who wished to know more about the heart. She compared the letter that Anna received back from him and compared to an old one in her father's old study. Their penmanship was identical and the address was accurate. Still, if Ansem knew that their sister was alive all this time, why didn't he contact them sooner? She remember how heartbroken her mother and father were the day that Kairi never came back home. The letters they would pleading to know what could have happened to her; only to be rejected and sent back. Why now after all this time?
Still, Anna was right about one thing, Kairi deserved to come back home. She allowed it, even allowing her to bring two of her friends from the islands to make her feel more at him here. It was only two, she doubted they would cause too much trouble. Still, despite her instinct to lock herself in her room, she had to know this wasn't some hoax. Then she saw her...
...Kairi was home. Her unmistakable bluish-violet eyes and red hair proved that much. She grew so much. Heck, she remembered the day she was born and how she looked at age four before she vanished. It was her. Somewhere in her frozen heart, she just knew that this was her baby sister. Anna was right. She was alive. She wanted to hug her so badly...
...but the fear of hurting her like she did Anna so long ago overtook her. She stared as she watched the reunion outside of the room. She watched her introduce some of her friends. She didn't really pay attention to the names. She was overtaken by her thoughts and fears. She whispered to herself, "Conceal, don't feel. Conceal, don't feel. Don't let it show."
She finally overheard Anna answer, "Look, you were still a baby when it happened, but Elsa and I... we used to be as close as you are with Sora and Riku now. But, one day, the day mother and father closed the gates, Elsa shut me out. I don't think she ever took a step out of her own room."
"Wha...?" Kairi blinked in disbelief, "But... why?"
"Believe me, if I knew, I'd definitely tell you," Anna reassured her, "I've tried to convince her to let me in." Despite, feeling rejected, she chuckled, "But she can be a real stinker."
"Aw, man," The boy Kairi's age rubbed the back of his head, "That's rough."
"Wait, but isn't she the one we gave us the exclusive sneak peek pass to this Coronation of hers," The older redhead pointed out.
"Yeah, thankfully, she listened and gave you the okay to let you three in here," Anna nodded, "But she's still in her room as we speak." Elsa frowned as she lightly tugged her gloves, "She didn't even show up to our parents' funeral when we lost them at sea."
"Anna, I'm sorry," Kairi frowned as she slowly approached her for a light hug, "That must have been hard."
"It's okay," Anna reassured her.
"Well, look at it this way, she opened up to let us in the castle," The boy spoke positively getting her younger sisters' attention, "She opened up enough to let Kairi back home and bring us too. Maybe, somewhere in her heart, she wants to open up. She's probably going through her own fears now but she's working up to courage for the day she does open up that door, and you'll be closer than ever."
Elsa blinked in disbelief, and she thought Anna was positive. Heck, Anna seemed stunned while Kairi didn't look that surprised by her friend's statement. In fact, she smiled like she knew he was going to say something like that. Anna couldn't help but admit, "Huh? I never thought of it that way. If that's the case, I look forward to that day." She nodded, "Thank you, Sora. I can see why Kairi likes you."
"That's Sora for ya," Kairi giggled as she turned to Anna, "I knew you two would get along."
"Huh, guess this Sora is always this positive," Elsa couldn't help but think. It was almost like he was a guy version of Anna. Guess, he would be alright for the next few days. However, she wasn't she what to make of the other guy. From his gesture, he didn't look like he wanted to be there.
Speaking of whom, he cleared his throat, "Look as much as I like being a part of someone else's family drama, this is more than I care to be a part of. Is there a place where I can get some fresh air? It's been a long journey overhear and I need to stretch my legs."
Anna blinked in confusion, as Kairi smiled sheepishly, "Yeah, I may have had to guilt trip him into coming..."
"Ah, say no more," Anna smiled as she waved her hand, "The old puppy dog pout, huh?" Kairi nodded. Elsa rolled her eyes in amusement, if there were any doubts Kairi wasn't related to them, it was gone now. Anna did that trick all the time when they were children. She had no doubt she taught Kairi the same trick for future purposes. She heard her sister tell the older newcomer, "Just take the stares you came and you'll see the courtyard. Lots of sun, plants, and cute little ducklings for you to get your fresh air and legs stretched with a nice stroll."
"Thanks," The redhead turned her way and walked towards the door.
Gasping slightly, Elsa took cover behind the corner to be out of sight as the man opened the door. As he turned to leave the way he came in to reach the courtyard, he could hear Anna ask Kairi, "So~ What exactly is your relationship with Sora~ Are you really best friends or something more~"
She could hear both the young man and her baby sister stumble with their words, clearly shy and bashful about the subject. Whatever the case, she had got her confirmation that it really was Kairi and made a dash for her room. Unfortunately, her room happened to be the way their other guest was heading. She had to be very careful if she wasn't to be seen. She couldn't afford to be seen...
...it was years ago when they were all still children. Anna knew and loved every bit of her power over the ice and snow. The endless nights they sneak into the ballroom to play in the snow. The countless times they would build Olaf, their childhood snowman, and play together. They hoped for the day Kairi grew big enough to join in the fun. However, one night, there was an accident, that nearly ended her sister's life. She never meant for it to happen. She was just having a hard time keeping up with the overly excited girl. One slip-up to catch her with a pile of snow ended up striking her in the head.
It would have killed her if not for the kind trolls. As a result, Anna would have no memory that Elsa ever had powers and learn the true nature of her curse. Fear would be her enemy. So, as a precaution, her father lessened the staff, closed the gates, and moved her away from everyone. Including her little sisters, until the day she could control it. The gloves helped but they were never enough.
Now that mother and father were gone, she had to take her rightful place as Queen, and yet, she did not much control over her ice magic as she did then. What was worse was that her powers had become stronger as she grew. She just had to suffer through the Coronation and hope she had control enough to get through the day. She prayed that it would be enough.
Soon enough, the second of Kairi's friends turned to the stairs, and she was close enough to the door. It would seem that she was in the clear to enter her room. She grabbed onto the doorknob as she began to turn it. "If that's you trying to be sneaky, you're gonna have to do better than that." Elsa's eyes widened as she turned to see the same man, who smirked, "After all, I practically invented the word."
Elsa was stunned looking back and forth from where she had seen the redhead previously to where he was now. How on Earth to he move so quickly without her hearing him coming? He teased her, "Elsa, right? I know I'm not fancy like you royals are, but even I know it's rude without saying hello to your guests."
After a moment of silence, the future Queen of Arendelle was unsure what to do. Soon enough, she finally opened the door and quickly told him, "Hi! Nice to meet you! BYE!" She practically dived into her room and slammed the door behind her. She slid to the floor, as she sighed to herself, "Oh, that was too close."
She proceeded to hug her legs, if she couldn't do much to interact with these new guests, how on earth she was going to survive Coronation Day? She could only be grateful he didn't find out about her secret...
...to be honest, Axel likely wouldn't have found out... if Blonde hadn't left a trail of ice behind her. Axel smirked to herself, "So that's it..." He lightly chuckled to himself, "Guess this little trip won't be so lame after all."
Well, well, Axel knows Elsa's little secret. So, where will he go from this from here? Tell the others what he discover? Keep it to himself? Tell Elsa she's not the only magical human around these parts anymore?
Stay tuned where the worlds of Arendelle and the Keyblade Wielders begin to clash. And Elsa and Axel meet for real!
