Arthur Runs Away (What Really Happened after Arthur's Big Hit) Chapter 2: Arthur Leaves
As you saw in Chapter 1, Arthur saw DW get away with breaking his plane. Now, seeing how his family once again has taken DW's side, he decides to leave the house and wants to leave that night. How does Arthur leave his family, and what happens when they realize he has left? WATCH.
It is 10 at night. Arthur had refused to come down for dinner as he was packing his bags. Since he could not drive, he knew he couldn't take much. However, he had a plan. Take everything you know you need, and then figure out the rest. He packed his clothes into two large suitcases. Thankfully, Arthur has a secret phone number stashed in his sneakers in case of emergencies. Suddenly, Arthur's Bionic Bunny phone rings. Who is it?
Arthur: Hello?
Buster: Arthur? It's me. Listen, I'm sorry for not trusting you. Francine is here with me, and she wants to say something.
Arthur: No. I'm not in the mood to talk. Thanks for the apology.
Arthur shuts off the phone.
Arthur: Apologize. Please
Arthur then sees Pal come into the room with his bowl. No doubt Pal was coming with him, but Arthur had to figure out how to get Pal's belongings. If Pal went with him, his toys would be left behind. Arthur had to act fast. Thinking quickly, Arthur went down to Pal's bed area, grabbed some toys, and walked back upstairs. Since Mom and Dad were asleep, Arthur was unnoticed.
Arthur: OK, now I have the main stuff; I've got to finish packing. FAST
Soon, Arthur packed up everything in his room. Two large suitcases, Two large boxes, and his backpack. Taking his pillow and placing it on top of his luggage, Arthur took a look at his room. He wasn't coming back. Mom and Dad would pay for their favoritism and DW? She was free to be a menace to someone else. Taking Pal and helping him into his backpack, Arthur opened his window door. It was a long way down.
Arthur: Hmm, how am I gonna get everything outside without waking up Mom and Dad?
Suddenly, Arthur had an idea. Reaching under his bed, he found his mini trampoline. It was a long shot, but if it worked, it would help avoid being caught. Arthur tossed it out the window, and it landed right under his window.
Arthur: The suitcases can fit through the window. I can also fit through it with my backpack. But the boxes will be tough. I've got to get them first.
Quietly, Arthur slid the heavy boxes through his window door. They were heavy, but Arthur managed to get them both out. Then he got the suitcases out. Once they were all outside waiting, Arthur went to his closet, grabbed his jacket and flashlight, and silently closed the closet door. Then, Arthur picked up his walkie-talkie and stored it in his backpack. Pal then climbed into Arthur's backpack. Arthur took one last look at his room, turned off the lights, climbed through the window, and closed it.
