Chapter 2: Welcome to BubbleWood!
The road to stardom had begun! The famous talent scout Madame Octavia had chosen our beloved Bubble Guppies as the winners of the contest. That meant they would go to the exotic city of BubbleWood to become youthful music stars. After certain calls, Mr. Grouper agreed to let the guppies go under his supervision, even though he was not very convinced. Now, they were riding in Octavia's limo. The guppies were very excited to arrive in the exotic city.
"Excuse me, Mrs. Octavia...When will we get to BubbleWood?" Oona asked kindly.
"We'll be there very soon, dear. In the meantime, you can take in the view outside...OR...you could watch some TV" Octavia took out a remote control and pressed a button to activate a small television inside the limo.
"Wow! Cool!" All the guppies were amazed.
"Do you think that's cool? It's because you haven't seen anything" She pressed another button and some snacks appeared next to each of them.
"Hey, can we really eat inside the limo?" Gil asked curiously.
"Well of course! No problem!" The octopus-woman said with a big smile. They were happy and ate some snacks. They didn't want to eat much to avoid dirtying the car.
"Kids, remember not to eat too much in a moving vehicle" Mr. Grouper advised them.
"Could this be better?" Gil asked ironically. Octavia simply pressed another button to make cup holders appear next to each guppy "Cup holder? Brilliant!"
"This place has good vibes!" Deema said excitedly.
"You said good vibes...Well..." Octavia pressed another button to turn on some music and a small disco ball appeared to illuminate the inside of the limo "I call this: Disco Mode!" The extravagant woman said funnily.
"She speaks my language!" The blonde guppy commented excitedly.
"Wow, if this is the life of a BubbleWood star, I might like this" Molly said happily.
"Oh darling! This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many exciting things about being famous. And many good things in BubbleWood" Madame Octavia commented.
"Hey, by the way...How is BubbleWood?" Goby asked curiously.
"Well, boy...BubbleWood is a huge city that..." Wallace wanted to explain to the guppy before Octavia interrupted him.
"Ahem…Why don't you let me explain to them? I will answer them in the funniest way possible" Octavia decided to activate the limo's stereo, where a pop melody began to play. The lights began to illuminate the interior. The disco ball improved the atmosphere. Everything indicates that Octavia had a musical number prepared.
Octavia: "Welcome to BubbleWood! Home of Fame and Glamor!
Every star and superstar has written their stories here
Actors, Singers, Models. There is a place for everyone!
If you need to be famous, this is the place to go!"
Wallace: Next Destination, BubbleWood!
Octavia: Oh great! Guppies, here we go!"
Finally, they arrived at the extravagant city of BubbleWood. All the guppies looked out the windows at the big city. Full of famous restaurants, clubs, theaters, cinemas, exclusive areas. They couldn't describe in words what they were seeing. Deema opened the window on the roof of the limo to get a better view of the place they just entered. There were many advertisements of famous people everywhere. The guppies simply couldn't resist the urge to join the chorus.
"All: Everything is amazing at BubbleWood!
Everything here is incredible!
Party, food, fun! There is everything here!
Let's become superstars together
Deema: SuperStars, Yeah! (x2)"
"Octavia: Here the actors present their best performance.
The models look their best in extravagant and stellar clothing.
Musicians strive to create sound art.
Here there are no limits to art and imagination"
Everyone was impressed by the glamor and extravagance of the city. It was notorious that it was a city for popular and rich people. Some of them like Mr. Grouper and Nonny were a little intimidated by how huge the city was and how flashy it was.
"Octavia: Do you want to eat something? We have food from all over the world!
Do you want to have fun? There are parties and clubs everywhere at all times!
But we have come to fulfill the desire of your hearts.
Which is taking your fame to the stars!"
The guppies united once again, but with more emotion and passion than before.
"All: Everything is amazing at BubbleWood!
Everything here is incredible!
Party, food, fun! There is everything here!

Octavia: Oh yeah! Welcome to BubbleWood!
Finally, everyone arrived at the big city of BubbleWood. It was extremely different from the small town of BubbleTucky that they know and love. It was full of people and buildings, as well as having many places of interest. The limo was parked in a main park adorned with palm trees. There everyone got out of the limo.
"Very good, children. Welcome to BubbleWood! Home to the biggest celebrities from around the world. Actors, singers, musicians, everyone has a piece of this place. And soon you will be part of it. Listen, I must prepare some important things to prepare the place where you are going to stay. In the meantime, Wallace will stay with you and give you a tour of BubbleWood. Enjoy the day. They can go explore and eat wherever they want. But we will meet here before sunset. Here I will come to pick you up" Octavia said kindly.
"And when will we start our musical career?" Molly asked excitedly.
"Wow, I see someone more determined, eh? Soon, dear. Today we come from a long trip. For now, enjoy! See you soon" The cecaelia guppy retreated and left in the limo, leaving the guppies, Mr. Grouper, and Bubble Puppy in Wallace's care.
"Very good. I'll show you everything this place has to offer. There are parks, shows and countless restaurants. Follow me" Wally said with a big smile.
"Kids, do not separate from us. This is a very big place and I don't want you to get lost" Mr. Grouper advised. The seven guppies obeyed without problems. Even Bubble Puppy, who was the most curious to see such a strange place.
"Very good. There are many popular restaurants around here like McBurger, Koronel Chicken, Pizza Hat, Chinese food, Italian food, there is literally everything you can imagine. There are also many public events such as concerts, artists...Oh and there is a high probability of meeting a celebrity here" Wally showed them the city.
"Oh oh! I want to eat fried chicken!" Gil said excitedly.
"I prefer to eat a hamburger" Goby commented.
"I want pizza!" Deema said loudly.
"I want to try Chinese food" Nonny said quietly.
"I would like to try some vegetarian food" Zooli asked.
"Calm down, kids. We can order something that we all like. We just have to…" Mr. Grouper wanted to propose that idea to calm them.
"No problem. Everyone can order what they want and we can all eat in the same place. I'll just order from every restaurant possible" Wallace took out his devices to order all the meals the children wanted.
"Hey, wouldn't that be too expensive?" Mr. Grouper asked worriedly.
"Don't you worry about anything. Lady Octavia will cover all expenses. It's part of the prize, so enjoy" The snail boy said politely.
"Yeah….Thanks for the kindness" The orange fish said quietly. Finally, everyone was able to eat together. Each of them ate what they wanted. They thanked Wally very much for the invitation. On the city tour, everyone was amazed by the luxury and extravagance of the city. Finally, they arrived at a special place.
"This is the Walk of Stars. This is a huge glamorous boulevard where all the famous people have their names written on each star. Every celebrity has their star in this place" Wallace showed them the prestigious walk.
"Wow! Here are names of super famous people! For example, there's Splash! My favorite Rock and Roll musician!" Deema said excitedly. She and Gil moved their heads like they were in a rock and roll concert. All of them giggled.
"Hmmm….There is the name of D.J Sean...A great K-Pop singer" Nonny noticed one of the stars.
"Owwww…D.J Sean!" The guppy girls said with tones of love. It seems that they loved that singer.
"Oh! Here's Stylee's name!" Goby showed them another star on the ground.
"STYLEE!" All the guppies were amazed to see Stylee's name on one of the BubbleWood celebrity stars.
"(sigh) I wish my name was on this walk of fame" Molly said with desire.
"Without a doubt, Molly. Your name will be there" Gil commented.
"And not just hers. The name of each one of you will be here...The Bubble Guppies are going to have a great musical career. That's what we're here for, right? Very good...It's time to go. Madame Octavia has things prepared for everyone" Wally said excitedly. All the guppies were happy about what they were about to experience together. Mr. Grouper maintained his serenity and ensured the safety of his students at all costs.
Finally, the limo passed by them and Octavia greeted them with great kindness. This time it didn't take long to reach a huge property with a huge garden and a luxurious mansion. It was protected by a security fence, cameras and security systems. They had a huge backyard where there was a large swimming pool. The limo parked in front of the mansion and they were greeted by a pair of tall, muscular lobster men in elegant black suits and dark glasses.
"Welcome home, Madame Octavia. Welcome, dear guests!" Both lobster men said at the same time. They are so similar that they look like clones.
"Bubble Guppies, they are brothers Tim and Tom. Tom and Tim...whatever you want to call them. They are my most trusted security men. With them here, we are all safe" Octavia said happily.
"It is an honor for us…" Tim said quietly.
"...to have you here" Tom ended his brother´s sentence.
"Wow! You two are too alike!" Goby said surprisedly.
"That's because we are brothers..." One of them said.
"….Twin brothers" The second finished the sentence.
"Twins?" Oona asked confusedly.
"Twins are two people who were born on the same day to the same mother" Nonny explained the definition.
"Very good...Come forward. Make yourself comfortable at home!" The octopus-woman showed them the huge property inside. It was a very large and luxurious mansion. It had a huge room with a television room, a games room, a room for video games, a personal cinema, a huge kitchen where there were cooks especially for them. There was an abundance of toys, candy and food.
"WOW!" All of them were shocked and happily.
"This is my big house. Place I call home. I hope you like the gifts I have for all of you. All this is yours. Come on, kids...It's time for you to have fun" Madame Octavia offered them all the things.
"OH YEAH!" They all ran excitedly to take the gifts and start playing with them. Gil and Goby were happy to start trying out all the sports equipment there was. Molly enjoyed a good time with karaoke. Deema was delighted with the costumes and costumes section. She modeled all types of clothing. Oona was happy with the dolls and stuffed animals section. But of all the objects she could choose, she decided to keep only one thing, a small brown teddy bear that she could hug with a lot of love. Nonny enjoyed the detailed dinosaur toys and compared them to an encyclopedia. Zooli was happy with the toys and stuffed animals. And Bubble Puppy, well, all you needed was a toy bone to have fun.
"Hey, kids...Be very careful...Oh wow...Aren't that a lot of gifts?" Mr. Grouper said surprisedly.
"Relax, Mr. G! They are music stars, they deserve all this" Octavia said before drinking a cup of juice.
"But they are children. They are not famous yet...At least not that famous" The big fish said worriedly.
"It's true, they are not famous...yet...But they will be soon. Let them have fun. They have earned it" The octopus-woman said in a relaxed manner.
Everyone enjoyed what Octavia offered them. They played like never before, until they felt very tired. That's where the hostess of the place decided to take them all to a large bedroom.
"This is where you guys are going to stay. Many beds and plenty of space for each of you. Over time, you may decide to have your own rooms. But for now, you can stay here. I hope you rest well, children. Because tomorrow will be your first day at work" The cecaelia woman said excitedly.
"First day of work? I thought only adults work" Deema asked confusedly.
"Oh hohoho…It's a way of saying, dear. I mean tomorrow we'll start with the fun part. It's time for them to show everyone their talents. You do your thing and I'll take care of the rest. Alright, have a nice night, Bubble Guppies!" Madame Octavia said happily.
"Good night, Mrs. Octavia!" All the guppies and Mr. Grouper said at the same time.
"Arf! Arf!" The woman simply closed the door and turned off the lights. In those moments before going to sleep, the guppies began to talk to each other.
"Today has been one of the best days of my life" Molly commented happily.
"Without a doubt, Molly. We met BubbleWood! We ate everything we wanted and played with everything we wanted!" Gil added excitedly.
"Not forgetting all of Octavia's gifts. They are wonderful" Zooli said.
"Hey, if this is the life of a famous person...What a good life!" Deema said funnily.
"Hey...do you think this will last? I thought we would only stay a few days and return home" Oona said nervously.
"Come on, Oona...Don't worry about it. As long as we're together, everything will be fine" Goby calmed her a bit.
"I'm glad it was a great day for you kids. But...I have to tell you something important. Here it seems that you can have everything you want, but you must have limits. Please try not to get carried away by everything this place offers you. We must not forget simplicity, education, good manners and humility" Mr. Grouper advised them wisely.
"We understand, Mr. Grouper!" All the seven guppies said at the same time.
"Alright (yawn) It´s time to sleep, kids…Have a great night" Mr. Grouper said before closing his eyes.
"Good night!" All the guppies fell asleep in their respective beds. In that place it was very calm. A short time later, Mr. Grouper felt that someone was close to him.
"Mr. Grouper….Mr. Grouper…."
"Huh?" Our favorite teacher opened his eyes and saw Oona next to him with her teddy bear. She was clinging to the stuffed animal "Is something wrong, Oona?"
"I...I can't sleep...I'm scared to spend the night in a place I don't know...Can I sleep with you, Mr. Grouper?" Oona asked him nervously. The mentor thought it over, but he didn't want her to be scared all night. So he decided to make space for her in her bed, inviting her to snuggle close to him, giving her a healthy distance.
"Come, Oona...Rest here...With me, nothing bad will happen to you" He said that with a very fatherly tone. Oona lay down next to her, giving her space while Mr. Grouper had his back to her "Good night, Oona"
"Good night, Mr. Grouper" Oona began to fall asleep little by little. The teacher did not expect that his student would hug him from behind and fall asleep. He could see the smile she had. She was safe near him. Our orange fish looked at her with happiness, seeing how she trusted him as if he were a dad.
Curiously, as he began to fall asleep, he noticed how each guppy began to snuggle close to him one by one. Until the seven guppies slept in the same bed as Mr. Grouper. The teacher understood that they were still small children and needed his presence in a place unknown to them. Despite all the luxuries, only he could give them what material objects did not: Love and security. Without much thought, Mr. Grouper fell asleep with all the guppies sleeping around him. Everyone needed energy for everything that awaited them tomorrow.
We arrived at BubbleWood! Wow...if I earned a coin for every time I mentioned that name...I could buy myself at least a sandwich hehehe. This chapter was full of references to Hollywood (well, even the name of the city is ironic). We will see how the musical career of our protagonists officially begins. Let's hope all these luxuries don't deter our favorite guppies, huh
