"O-Oden?"

Kagome wanted to flee the booth since her head was hurting at the sight of the delicious-looking food, but her mouth was rapidly filling with drool that she had to stuff another handful of rice to chew it away.

It was a bizarre feeling.

"Don't be shy," All Might smiled, "Dig in! But you must use utensils. You'll burn your hands if you don't and you can't use weapons with injured hands." His eyes shone in victory when Kagome hesitantly picked up the chopsticks, clearly not used to using them at all with how shaky she was.

She poked around a bit, finally picking up a fish cake and shoved it her mouth. Her expression was dubious for the first thirty or so seconds until her eyes seemed to brighten and her pale cheeks reddened quite visibly.

"Ha! Do you like it?" All Might went for his rice, prepared to sacrifice all the oden for Kagome as she plainly needed the nutrition. She had listed her diet earlier, but either she did not eat regularly, her food was spoiled, or she just bluntly lied.

Kagome did not answer as she chomped on a boiled egg, barely chewing and swallowing before shoving potato into her mouth. She licked her lips, not caring about the mess the broth was making on the table beneath her shaking chopsticks.

"Slow down before you choke," All Might chuckled nervously, her image reminding him of a starving dog who had not eaten in weeks. He had no idea if she would snap at him if he physically intervened and he would not test it while they were in public, "No one is going to take it from you, Young Kagome."

"I..." She suddenly muttered, "I feel like I've had this somewhere before," Kagome looked depressed even as she kept eating but at a slower pace, "I don't know where."

All Might looked solemn for a moment as he closed his eyes, unsure if this was a good idea or not, "Would you like some sake?" He asked in a quieter voice.

Kagome stared at him, her face now blank as she munched on a daikon radish and he stared back awkwardly, quickly regretting his choice in offering her any alcohol at all.

"...Are you trying to get me drunk...?"

"Please come again!"

All Might waved at the owner as the two made their way out, leaving from the back door so as not to gain any attention from fans and media.

"I suppose it's time to go back, huh?" All Might sighed, knowing his time would be up in an hour or so and that would be about enough time to get the girl back, have a small chat, and get out of the public's view, "Let's go, Young Kagome."

Kagome simply nodded, following the large man as she glanced back at the restaurant, memorizing the details and smells, knowing she probably would never come here again.

It had been a strange, but... nice time.

"Hmm," All Might blinked as he looked at a window of a store, seeing it was more than just a clothing store, "Young Kagome, I had noticed you wear those prayer beads around your arm, but you seem uncomfortable with it," He grinned, "This is a store for accessories and small side equipment for Heroes! I'm sure we could find something to make it more comfortable for you!"

The Miko blinked before letting out a noise as she was gently pulled into the store by the No. 1 Hero, though she made no real vocal protests against All Might.

It was only ten minutes later and the two were standing outside again and Kagome was staring down at her new tekko glove, feeling her chest fill with something she something she could not describe.

She did not want this day to end.

But it did not long later.
