sorry about not posting in a while. i am buried in a mountain of homework. anyway here is the next chapter. it is a bit short, but i will update once more within this week.

Hermione walked into the great hall for lunch with her fellow Slytherins. deciding not to deal with Ron, she went and took a seat at the Slytherin table. "ah, what do we have here? is Granger starting to warm up to Slytherin?" Draco smirked. Hermione rolled her eyes. "don't get used to it!" Hermione snapped before turning back to her food.

Astoria and Pansy turned to Hermione and the three of them started to talk about fashion. Blaise rolled his eyes. "leave it to Pansy and Astoria to get Granger to talk about fashion" he remarked.

"speaking of Granger" Theo cut in, shooting Malfoy a meaningful look. "what?" Draco asked. Blaise and Theo shared a smirk. then it dawned on Draco. "no! it's not like that!" He exclaimed.

"it's fine Draco. we all know about your crush on her. it's kind of obvious to everyone except her" Theo reasoned. Draco groaned. "what am i going to do?" he asked, putting his head in his hands. "Never thought i'd see the day where Draco Malfoy needs love advice" Blaise joked. Draco scowled at him. "this is serious!" he snapped. then he turned at looked at Hermione.

She looked perfect like that, just sitting and talking, with the sun illuminating her hair. but the thing he loved most about her was when her eyes lit up when she learned something new. his thoughts were interrupted by none other than Pansy Parkinson.

"Theodore Nott! you must really hate your life because in three seconds you won't have one!" Theo actually looked scared. he pulled Blaise in front him and shrank back. Hermione and Astoria were struggling to hold back laughs.

from what Draco could gather, Theo had accidentally splashed soup on Pansy. the only bit Draco was having trouble with was how you can accidentally splash soup on someone. by now Theo was getting ready to bolt and Pansy looked ready to kill. lucky for Theo, he was saved by the appearance of the headmistress.

"ms Granger, care to explain why you are sitting at the Slytherin table?" they all turned to professor McGonagall, who was standing right behind Hermione. "i just thought that if i were to sit at the Gryffindor table Ron would make a big scene again." Hermione shrugged. "Just for today ms Granger." McGonagall said sternly before walking away.

all the Slytherins gaped at Hermione. "what?" she asked innocently. "only you could get professor McGonagall to give us the morning off and let you sit at the Slytherin table. bloody hell, she would let you get away with murder!" Blaise exclaimed. the others were quick to agree.

"what can i say? being a teacher's pet has it's perks" Hermione smirked. "you did not just say that" Astoria said. "oh but i did" came the reply. "i wonder what would happen if the teachers saw you now" Theo asked. Hermione shrugged before turning back to her food. Pansy turned to Astoria. "ok, this settles it. we have got to have her around more often" Pansy whispered. Astoria nodded in agreement.

Hermione smiled, having heard what they had said. maybe this year wouldn't be so bad. Hermione took that back three seconds later when Ron approached the Slytherin table.
