Missing:

Two days, and there'd been no sign of Hiccup or Toothless anywhere. The last anyone saw of them was when they'd gone off on their usual morning flight, and when they hadn't come for training, Astrid knew something was wrong. She and the riders went to Stoick first, but that ended up with a dead end; Stoick hadn't seen Hiccup since he and Toothless had gone to bed the night before. That's when the searches started.

The Riders began searching the island, but nothing. They ventured out to the stacks…nothing. The surrounding islands? Nothing. It was as if the two had vanished off the edge of the world. That's when it hit Astrid that they might have been taken by Alvin. She wouldn't be surprised if Alvin had come back for the 'Dragon Conqueror' and caught Hiccup and Toothless off guard.

Astrid rushed to tell Stoick.

"We should fly to Outcast Island right now and save him. Who knows what Alvin might be doing to him?!" She stood within the Chief's house, having told him her suspicions.

"Hm, it's a sound theory, Astrid, but until we can gather any proof I'm afraid we can't just simply storm Outcast Island", Stoick said, and although Astrid knew he was right, it still angered her to hear. They were wasting time. "If Hiccup isn't there, it may cause more problems, and with my son missing that's the last we need", he added.

"Okay", Astrid relented, "then let the riders and me go scout it out. If Hiccup is there, we'll be able to report back within a few hours max."

"That's very noble of you, lass, but it's alright. You kids have done more than enough in the search for my son these last two days", Stoick began to lead her to the door. "Go home and rest. My men and I will take it from here."

"But―" she turned, finding herself on the porch.

"Rest", the Chief stressed. "That's an order." He shut the door, and that was that. Did she see where Stoick was coming from? Sure. To be honest, she'd been pushing rather hard to find Hiccup and Toothless, but she didn't care. If the others were tired and wanted to quit, fine, but Astrid wasn't stopping until Hiccup and Toothless were found and safe.

Resting while her friends were in danger wasn't exactly one of Astrid's strong suits. She gathered up the riders into the arena, and told them the plan.

"Wow, Astrid disobeying a direct order from the Chief? Is it opposite day or something?" Tuffnut said as Astrid checked Stormfly's saddlebag, making sure they had everything they needed.

"No, Tuff. But I'm not gonna just sit on the sidelines while one of my best friends is in trouble", Astrid told him, rather stern.

"We don't even know if he's actually in any danger", Snotlout said. "For all we know, Hiccup and Toothless are on some island taking a vacation or whatever."

"Without telling anyone?" Astrid countered, not all that surprised with his lack of urgency. He couldn't care less about Hiccup's disappearance.

"Maybe they were attacked by a witch and they've actually been invisible this whole time trying to get our attention!" Tuffnut started with one of his theories. "Don't worry, T, I'll find you", he blindly waved his arms around.

"Hey, quit it", Ruffnut complained when Tuffnut either intentionally or accidently, but most likely intentionally, hit her.

"Move, woman. I'm on a mission."

"Are you guys done?" Astrid interrupted, before mounting Stormfly. "I'm going to Outcast Island, with or without you, so who's in?"

"Fine", Snotlout shrugged before getting on Hookfang. "Just because I'll get to kick some Outcast butt", he said.

Ruffnut and Tuffnut hopped on Barf and Belch, high-fiving with some unspoken thing between them, their mischievous smirks the only thing to suggest what it was.

"Fishlegs?" Astrid asked, the only one who had said anything yet.

"If it means we're getting Hiccup back, then yeah, I'm in", he said, and with that, the riders mounted and off to Outcast island.

I'll try to get the next chapter out soon as I can.
