Jack Thornton moves to Hamilton just before he begins his senior year in high school in this modern day story. His father, Tom, begins work for a shipping tycoon, William Thatcher. Jack meets Elizabeth before school starts. Their first meeting didn't go well. Will this drive them apart or draw them together?

Elizabeth follows Charles back to Hamilton after he proposes to her in the schoolhouse. Charles and Jack think she has accepted Charles' proposal of marriage. Is this all a misunderstanding? Can Jack and Elizabeth find their way back to each other after her indecisiveness? This story is set in the time frame of the show. However, the storyline differs from it.

"I've met charmers like him before. The flower soon withers on the vine." Elizabeth said those words to Abigail shortly after Lucas' arrival in Hope Valley. About a year of marriage and Elizabeth starts to realize the truth of those words. However, when she finally hits rock bottom, the hand held out to her in love is one of the last ones she would expect.

It is one week before the wedding when pastor Joseph makes a simple statement that plants a doubt in Elizabath's mind as to if her and Lucas are "especially made for each other". But what does it mean? Plans are in place, the dress is made, family and friends are on the way. Is this just pre-wedding jitters… or something more? Part of SNS Heart Challenge for September.

Trips to Aberdeen and Hamilton cause Elizabeth to question her choices and the need to turn her life around. As she attempts to correct her mistakes and make amends to those she has deeply hurt will she be too late, or will true love persevere?

This is PARTS 5 AND 6 of the Wedding Surprise series. Come along and see what Jack, Nathan and Bill have found. As they work to keep Bouchard behind bars, a lots of things happen. Will Nathan find love along the way? Will Jack be able to pick up where he left off in town?

What happens if Nathan did, in fact, know Jack? I hope members of #TeamLucas will give this story a chance, later chapters are very Lucas centric and deal with his backstory. Just because we are rooting for different men for Elizabeth, that doesn't mean we can't give different stories a chance.
