But things fall apart, and he finds himself sucked back into the high-stakes world of outlaws and old debts that need repaying. He had crawled out of it before... but he's not sure if he can do it again.

Cloud did join Shinra, but he just did his tour and got out. Once discharged, he moved under the plate, earning gil by doing odd jobs and monster hunting in the wastes around Midgar. On this particular day, it wasn't a monster he found, but a shot-to-hell SOLDIER who wasn't quite dead. A story of building a new life, gaining new friends, and a past that isn't quite done.
