This one is based after what we see in the season 5 finale.

After that terrifying encounter they just had with the masked assailants, Lucy and Tim finally dragged themselves through Lucy's door. Luckily Tamara was out for the evening because neither of them had the energy to recount what had just happened, other than being seriously outnumbered, they were both surprised they only came out of it with a few bruises and cuts. They slung thier bags on the floor and sunk down on to the sofa.

Tim pulled Lucy towards him. In that moment he wanted to hold her close. Even though he was still going over the days events in his head he was thankful he didn't let Lucy go by her self, or anyone else for that matter, he wouldn't have been able to be the outsider knowing she was in that much trouble.

Lucy sank into him.

He kissed the top of her head and closed his eyes, just taking in her scent. This was just the beginning. They still had no answers as to what even happened, or what was about to happen, Grey had insisted they went home for the night and to regroup in the morning, he needed 2 of his best back in shape tomorrow ready to fight whatever it was they were dealing with. Tim and Lucy had both reluctantly gone to the hospital, both lucky to escape with very minor injuries. Tim was pulled out of his thoughts

"Thanks for having my six" Lucy whispered to him. She looked up at him and gave a faint smile…

"Thanks for having mine"

She smiled again.

"That was, draining" she said defeated.

He rubbed the cut on her face with his thumb.

"On all the years on the job I've never actually been scared we wouldn't make it out alive… until now' this caused Lucy to shift slightly in his arms.

"I knew we'd get out because, you and me, we have unfinished business" she pointed between them.

This caused Tim to smile.

"Oh we do, do we" he leant forward and kissed her gently as to not disturb the cut on her lip.

"I love you Lucy Chen" Tim looked into her eyes.

Lucy hadn't expected this, in fact she thought for sure she would be the first one to say it. She grabbed both sides of his face and stared directly into his eyes.

"I love you Tim Bradford"

Tim's smile lit up.

" i just had to tell you how I felt, after today, I don't wanna walk into another situation like that without you knowing" Lucy didn't say anything, she was just staring into Tim's eyes.

"I know we've not been together for too long, but I'd regret not telling you if anything happens"

She pulled his head towards her and thier lips collided in what she can describe as the most passionate kiss she's ever experienced, saying that every kiss with Tim was amazing.

They both came up for air and tim rested his head on Lucy's.

"Shower, naked time and sleep?" Lucy asked

"Sure, I'm not turning down naked time"

"If we shower together we can get extra naked time?" Lucy flirted.

"Well, how can I turn down that offer"

He lifted himself off of the couch pulling Lucy up with him. She winced slightly.

"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly.

"Honestly I ache a bit… that guy right at the end got a few punches in my side, thank god John turned up when he did, else we could be having a very different evening"

Tim pulled her in close, they were stood in this very position the day before.

"Sure you want sexy time still?"

"Hell yes, they are not taking that away from me, and also sexy time with you makes everything better" she smiled as she pulled him to the shower.

Later as they were laying in bed, Tim was laying flat on his back with Lucy laying on his chest, he was playing with her hair.

"When did you know"

Tim looked down at her.

"Erm… when did I know what?" Tim said feigning innocence.

"That you loved me"

Lucy looked up and saw tim smiling..

"Honestly, when we were practising being a couple in your apartment, we kissed and something inside me just clicked, I was outside your apartment after and my whole world just changed. I felt bad because I was with Ashley, you were with Chris, I tried to tell myself we were just friends and that's it…. Until we were undercover…. When you went in the shower the door did not completely close and when i looked up i could see you undressing and suddenly these emotions were flooding me. Thats why i asked if you wanted to talk about it because i needed to tell you, but…"

" First of all, why am i now only hearing about this…. And i remember what i said Tim, it makes me cringe to think about it"

"Can I tell you something" he asked sincerely

"Of course" she said excitedly.

"When you kissed me on the plane, I didn't want to stop" he kissed her again.

"Oh I know, thank god we had a job to do because I'm pretty sure it would have not ended there" they both giggled.

"Truthfully though" Tim continued, "I knew there was something about you, the only rookie to break down my walls, that I'd ever became friends with. Shared personal things with. I knew the feelings were there from Back when Caleb gave you his number, I was a bit jealous, I couldn't fathom why?, you were my rookie….then when you went missing, I just about had a heart attack and was worried sick"

"I'm glad it was you that saved me"

"Lucy I told you, you saved yourself, the ring is what helped me find you"

"I know you would have found me if I hadn't left my ring, I know"

They kissed passionately again.

"When did you know you loved me?" Tim asked.

"Truthfully the same as you, something clicked that night in my apartment, I was scared in case you didn't feel the same, so I just didn't say anything. Then when you called me out about Chris after we were riding together, I knew I had to follow my heart, I was terrified because the way you make me feel, I've never felt that with anyone and I'd rather have you in my life as a friend than not at all and I didn't wanna risk that" "glad we did though" Tim said and Lucy smiled up at him.

They cuddled up closer.

"Time to sleep" Tim stated.
