Avatar Aang felt so much better standing at the top of a hill, looking down at the Fire Nation. For once, he actually felt welcomed to stay in the nation.

Fire Lord Zuko finally started to settle things with his Fire Nation Army, making things less intense and more relaxed.

Aang held his staff tight in his hand, ready to take off towards the Fire Nation Palace. Everyone was waiting for him there. He just had to get some air.

He airbended his staff wide open and launched towards it. Feeling the rush of the wind blowing against him just felt so refreshing. It was warmer than usual, but he didn't mind. He never thought he'd be so happy to be in the Fire Nation. He hasn't felt this way since him and Kuzon were friends.

Finding his friends in the Royal Gardens, he landed very gracefully to finally meet up with everyone.

"Hey, Aang," Katara greeted as they gave each other a hug, "Zuko wanted all of us here. He thinks he found something. It might be belong to the Avatar."

"Really?" Aang said back, "That's why he wanted us all here."

"Yeah. Apparently, it was Avatar Roku's," Sokka told him.

Aang's onyx eyes widened, surprised he'd find anything that belonged to him. Although, he was friends with Fire Lord Sozin. He might've left something behind when they were friends.

Now Aang was really curious.

"Maybe we should wait for Zuko before Blabber Mouth gives everything away," Toph said teasingly.

"Him and Mai should be right here soon," Suki told Aang, noticing he was looking around for him.

Soon enough, Fire Lord Zuko and Mai, his girlfriend, entered the Royal Gardens.

"Hey Zuko," Aang greeted, feeling eager to look at the necklace, "Sokka said you found something that belonged to Avatar Roku."

"Yes, actually. There's something strange about it," Zuko said to Aang, "I've never seen this around the Royal Palace before. What's even weirder is that I found it underneath my throne."

"It's even weirder that you've never seen this necklace, ever," Mai said to Zuko.

He took it out of his sleeve and held it out. It looked like a necklace with a fire emblem on it. It looked ancient and a little dried out.

"Yeah, that is strange," Aang agreed, "Maybe there's gotta be a spirit attached to it."

Zuko's golden eyes widened as he eyed the necklace and tightened his grip on it.

"You don't think it's... Avatar Roku, do you?" Zuko asked him, as a sweat drop formed on his forehead.

Aang looked at it once more, definitely feeling something coming off of the necklace.

"Only one way to find out."

The Avatar reached out to hold the necklace. Everyone was on the edge of their seats. Aang held it tight in the palm of his hands, but didn't feel anything different. He twirled it and played with it just to see if that did anything. He flipped over the fire emblem to look at the back. There was something engraved.

It said, Roku.

Aang made a face, took off his air emblem necklace and was about to put on Avatar Roku's necklace, when Katara jumped in to interfere.

"Um, Aang. Maybe you shouldn't do that," Katara said to him, "If a spirit is attached to it, it might be dangerous."

"Don't worry, Katara," Aang said, "If it's Avatar Roku's, then I'm sure it's just him."

Aang took a deep breath in and out as he placed it around his neck. The moment he let it go, nothing happened. Everyone definitely expected something, maybe even Avatar Roku to show up.

"Well, maybe there isn't--"

Suddenly, the fire emblem glowed a red orange similar to a flame, causing everyone except for Toph to shield their eyes. Aang felt a sudden burn coming from the emblem. But before he could take off the necklace, he felt the Avatar State kick in out of no where. The wind picked up all around his friends as he tried to rip the necklace off of him.

"Aang!" Katara cried as she tried to push through the wind.

Zuko reached out to Katara to pull her way through and ran over to Aang. Katara grabbed onto the necklace, but she couldn't seemed to rip it off of him.

"It's stuck!" Katara cried, trying to rip it off, "Zuko, I need help!"

Zuko grabbed onto the necklace, trying to melt it with his firebending. Whatever it was made of, it wasn't doing anything. Even he wasn't strong enough to take it off.

The glowing brightened up, causing Katara and Zuko to let it go to cover their eyes. Then, the glowing stopped.

Everyone slowly opened their eyes and immediately looked over at Aang. He was laying on the ground, feeling disoriented.

The Avatar State faded away.

"Aang, are you okay?" Sokka asked him, worried for his friend, "That glowing from the necklace was very odd, and we've seen a lot of weird things."

"Ye-Yeah, I-I'm okay..." Aang mumbled, rubbing his head, "It was just weird that the Avatar State kicked in like that."

"Aang, where's the necklace?" Zuko asked him, really confused.

Zuko and his friends looked around on the ground, even by the pond just in case it flew off of him. It was no where to be seen.

Aang was about to put on his air emblem necklace, when he felt a slight burning itch around his neck. It's like the necklace was still on him, and yet he didn't see it anywhere on him.

"What's wrong?" Katara asked him with a concerned look.

"Something's burning me," Aang told her as it started to get itchier.

Aang checked underneath his collar. He noticed a weird marking right by his chest.

It was the fire emblem marking.

It looked as if he had gotten a tattoo, but it looked like it was burning him.

"Aang... the necklace..." Katara said with wide, blue eyes, "Ho-How?"

"What happened?" Toph asked as she ran over to Katara.

"The necklace... it's somehow fused to Aang..." Sokka said to her, "It's kind of a cool tattoo."

Katara glared at her older brother, and Sokka backed up a little to give them some room.

"It definitely burns like one," Aang said, jokingly.

"Why would the necklace do this?" Suki asked Zuko, "It seems awfully weird for Avatar Roku's necklace to do this to Aang."

"Are you sure that this is even his?" Katara asked, worried for Aang.

"Yeah... It is. It said, Roku on the back..." Aang said to them, trying to stop himself from itching at it.

"I've never seen this necklace before until today," Zuko said, feeling bad that he even gave it to Aang, "I'm sorry, Aang. I didn't think the necklace would do this, especially since--"

"It's okay, Zuko. Maybe your Uncle might know what this is," Aang suggested, grabbing his air emblem necklace.

"Alright, he should still be staying in Ba Sing Se still. The Jasmine Dragon has been really busy lately," Zuko said to everyone.

"He's still living there?" Katara said back, really worried for her boyfriend, "Isn't there some other way to help Aang? We don't know what this necklace could be doing to him."

"It's the only way. I've done all I can as the Fire Lord here for a little while, so we should go right now," Zuko said, then turns to Mai, "Can you stay here and look after the staff? Make sure everything runs smoothly."

"Of course," Mai said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek, "This seems pretty serious. You get home soon, okay?"

Zuko nodded at her and they packed whatever they had to for the trip. Once Zuko was ready, all of them soon climbed onto Appa. And just like that, they were off to Ba Sing Se. Aang itched at the marking, hoping Uncle Iroh knew what this was exactly. If it was Avatar Roku's, then there was a reason why the necklace fused with him.

Here's a new story!

Finally something about Avatar The Last Airbender! This one is about Aang and Zuko. They go on an adventure to that has to do with Avatar Roku! This fire emblem seems to be important to Roku, and for some reason, it's fused to Aang. Team Avatar is off to see Uncle Iroh! I wonder why that is??

More to come soon!
