Chapter 2
And with that, the recording came to an end.
"Damn! That was amazing!" Natsu cheered excitedly with his fist in the air, with many around him vocally voicing their opinions in agreement. "I wanna watch more of that. Cana, is there more for us to watch?"
"I think there is." Cana nodded her head in confirmation as she walked over to the bar and picked up the card to carefully examine it. "Yeah, the card still has a lot of information stored inside it. I need to actively activate each recording for the card to start playing it, though."
"But how did that Tsukasa guy manage to film those space pirates without them noticing? Some of those shots were so close to them." Gray inquired with Juvia nodding her head in agreement. "Surely they would have noticed."
"Who cares?! We can ask him if he shows up later. Those Gokaiger are strong and cool as hell!" Natsu shot up, making his rival glare at him and said "Cana, bring up the next recording. I wanna see what happens next!"
"I believe Natsu has spoken up all of our minds, hasn't he?" Makarov asked with an amused chuckle, looking around the guild to see that everyone was having a look of mixed excitement and anticipation on their face just like their pink haired dragon slayer. Makarov knew he would also be lying to himself if he denied the fact that he had grown curious of the Gokaiger, and wanted to know more about them… like how they came to obtain the powers of ALL of their predecessors, and what the treasure that they were seeking on Earth was.
Smiling, the sixth master of Fairy Tail looked at Cana and nodded his head to her in approval, making the brunette channel her magic into the card to activate the next recording. At once, the entire guild became silent as many quickly finished whatever they were still doing before turning their attention fully to the projection of the second recording that appeared before them.
The scene began with Doc, who pressed a couple of buttons on the control panel before speaking up while looking at the main monitor in front of him.
"It looks like the Zangyack stationed their command vessel and fleet between Earth and its moon…" The blond informed his crewmates, biting his lips in a worried manner.
"Oh, so Earth is just like our world then. We also have a moon here." Levy said, her head perking up in interest.
"The people there also appear to be just like us too." Lucy nodded her head in agreement before tapping her chin in a thoughtful manner "I wonder if they have magic too."
"Bet you guys that the magic user of Earth is also a super sentai!" Natsu shouted excitedly, though no one wanted to bet with him, as they all had a similar thought in mind.
"They are dead set on invading this place." Luka said absently while leaning back against the table, making Doc lower his head down.
"What to do? What to do? What would you do?" Navi asked while looking around the room.
"Oh, it's that bird again." Natsu said with his arms crossed over his chest "What the hell is he anyway?"
"Wasn't he the one who told the Gokaiger that the greatest treasure in the universe is on Earth?" Romeo asked, reminding everyone of what Navi had said in the previous recording. "I wonder what that is?"
"I wonder if the peaceful lifestyle of this planet's people will be secure…" Ahim said in a worried tone, similar to that of Doc. "It's truly troubling."
"It sure is."
"The people who live here can worry about that sort of thing." Zoe scoffed from the couch, sitting there with one leg crossing over the other and a few cards in his hand.
"He's right! We need to decide what we are going to do about finding that treasure." Luka said as she took her seat in front of Joe "We got caught up in that fight, so the empire is going to be keeping an eye out for us."
"These guys… is that treasure the only thing that they care about?" Gray asked with a sweat drop.
"I mean… they are pirates, right? I have heard that normal pirates love treasure, so the ones that are in space might not be that far off." Mira answered with a soft, amused laugh.
"What matters is that they are good people at heart. They might not look or behave like it, but I am sure when the situation calls for it, they will step forward to do what is right." Makarov said with a grin.
"I guess we better hurry up and find the treasure, so we can sail off this rock as soon as possible." Marvelous said as he stepped into the scene, walking with his jacket flinging over one shoulder. The captain of the ship appeared to have just woken up, as he turned to Navi with a yawn "Hey bird, do your fortune telling thing."
"Fortune telling… so that is how he was able to tell the treasure was on Earth." Lucy said with a raised eyebrow "But is it reliable though?" The stellar mage asked, remembering all the times she had gone to fortune tellers with her friends just for the fun of it.
"There must be a reason the Zangyack is also actively targeting Earth, right? Maybe they are also after the treasure itself." Erza voiced her opinion, something that many members of Fairy Tail had to agree was a possibility.
"I am not a bird! I am Navi!" Navi reasoned in annoyance, but Marvelous just furrowed his eyebrows in annoyance before telling him to hurry up, making Navi raise his wings as the other members of the Gokaiger gathered around him in expectation "Let's go! Treasure Navigation!"
With that announcement and his eyes glowing a series of rainbow colors, Navi flapped his wings and shot up in the air, his head hitting the ceiling and stunning himself.
The mages of Fairy Tail cringed as the impact. That must have heard a lot.
"A person dressed in black will provide the information you seek…" Navi muttered dazedly while floating down and landing in front of the pirates "Something like that!"
"Wait!? Just like that!?" Lucy asked in surprise.
"Classic fortune tellers. Everything that they tell you are just vague information." Erza chuckled and said "At least they have a lead now. Better than just… the treasure is on that planet."
"Yes. It is a planet that we are talking about, after all." Mira giggled while hiding her smile behind her hands.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Joe asked, looking slightly annoyed.
"Pretty vague…" Luka nodded, giving her two cents.
"But it's not like we have any other leads." Doc said before looking over to Ahim, who smiled and said.
"Black clothes is a start."
"Yeah, good luck with that." Gray chuckled, already having the feeling that a lot of people were going to wear black clothes that day.
"Let's hope they are not going to wander aimlessly around and ask everyone like the last time." Lucy said with a nervous laugh.
They were all incredibly strong and skill, but it's obviously that they had no idea how to talk to normal people. She had also seen a lot of people with awkward social interaction skills, but the Gokaiger really beat them by a mile with how they just showed up and asked the people of Earth if they knew where the treasure they were seeking was.
The scene then changed, cutting to the Gokaiger leaving their spaceship to wander around the human city, walking down the staircase that led them into a park of a sort.
"First, we should find somewhere that a lot of people pass by…" Ahim suggested as she walked in the middle of the group, while the others looked around to spot if anyone was wearing black clothes…
"Hmm… black clothes, black clothes…" Doc hummed while turning his head around, as Luka leaned over a fence to look down at the lower floor below. After a moment, the blond widened his eyes when he saw a man in a black coat standing nearby, and exclaimed with one hand pointing forward "Ah! I found one!"
But it was not just him who said that, as Luka also said the same thing with one hand pointing down to a woman who was wearing a black jacket walking below. Gasping in shock, the two then snapped their heads over to look at each other, with Ahim also having a similar expression on her face.
"I knew it!" Gray said, as the entire guild burst out laughing at the faces the three sentai were making. At the same time, multiple people wearing black clothes also arrived into the scene, causing Doc to drop his jaw in shock and clear disappointment. Joe, meanwhile, just sighed.
"Oh wow!" Mira gasped softly as she hid her smile behind her hand "It seems like everyone is wearing black today…"
"How are they going to look for that person now if everyone is wearing black?" Wendy asked with a sweat drop, as Carla nodded her head to her in agreement.
"What the heck?" Marvelous said with an amused grin, standing with his back leaning against the fence that Luka had leaned over earlier.
But then suddenly, a young man wearing a black uniform arrived in the scene on his bicycle.
"Wait, is it that person?" Lucy asked with her eyes once again widening in surprise, a feeling that was shared by many members of the guild.
"So it is the person that found them, not the other way around…" Makarov said with a thoughtful smile on his face "I guess Navi was right, to a certain degree then."
"Excuse me!" The young man in black called up, making Marvelous turn his head around slightly to see who it was that was talking to him "You guys are those space pirates, right?"
"What about it?" Marvelous asked back with uncaring tone.
"I know something! About the greatest treasure in the universe!"
The Gokaiger gasped in surprise, just as the members of Fairy Tail all did.
"Him? No way!" Natsu blurted out in denial.
"I have to agree with Natsu." Erza nodded her head in agreement. "I know that Navi did say the person in black holds the information about the information that they seek, but there is just no way that someone is just going to show up and tell that to them just like that."
"And why do I have the feeling that kid is up to no good as well?" Gray asked suspiciously.
"He's wearing black… could it be him?!"
Luka asked with an excited smile, and the scene changed again with that, cutting to the Gokaiger walking with the young man in black clothes as he walked down a ferry with boats on both sides of the path.
"You space pirates are amazing!" The young man said excitedly to the Gokaiger while leading his bicycle next to him.
"Did you see the action from afar?"
"Yeah! I saw you transform into all those different super sentai." The young man answered Joe with a nod of his head and an excited smile on his face.
"Super sentai? What are those?" Luka asked in confusion, causing him to come to a sudden stop.
"Ah, so I guess super sentai is an Earth thing then. The space pirates obviously know nothing about them." Erza pointed out, realizing that this was the second time Luka had asked what super sentai was.
"I wonder how they became super sentai themselves. Their sentai theme sure fits with them being pirates, but them being able to transform into other sentai to use their powers… surely it can't be just coincidence." Mira said with her head tilting to the side in wonder.
"Yeah, they have a whole box full of keys. Chance is… they have the power of every past super sentai in their possessions." Laxus nodded his head, sending a shiver down the spine of all those around him. It was unreal for them to think that someone could possess so many powers.
"You mean you didn't know?" The boy asked, looking confused before continuing "GoRanger, Shinkenger, MagiRanger... they are all legendary heroes from Earth."
"Hmmm, there they are, huh?" Marvelous asked, reaching into his jacket to bring the red keys of the sentai group the boy had mentioned, making him look at them in happiness while his crewmates nodded their heads in understanding.
"Then it's the power of those who have protected this planet?" Ahim asked with a smile.
Marvelous, meanwhile, did not look interested in the slightest and stepped forward to ask the boy "So, what about the treasure?"
"Eh? That's…" The boy murmured as he looked down.
"This guy is definitely up to no good." Gray said, reaffirming his point from before "I don't think he has any info on the treasure, or where it is."
"Then what is he after, I wonder." Erza trailed off with a thoughtful look about her.
"Ah before that, Marvelous-san..." The boy said as he walked toward Marvelous, who looked at him in surprise "Can I take a picture of you?"
"What's all this about?"
"Well I mean, it'd be a nice memento of meeting you."
The boy said as he brought out his phone, holding it up in front of him and turning it from Joe to his captain.
"Can you kind of pose like you are going to transform?" The boy suggested, and the blue ranger had a scold on his face as he raised an eyebrow at the point, having seemingly realized what he was trying to do while Marvelous just smirked in amusement before doing just as he had requested
"Like this?"
"That is a very specific pose to do…" Mira said while tapping her chin in wonder before widening her eyes in realization "Could it be… that he is after the keys?"
"Marvelous is not going to fall for it, right?" Romeo asked.
"I don't think someone like him is going to fall for that easily. Plus, Joe looks like he has caught on with his act as well." Erza pointed out with a nod of her head.
"Right, could you stick the key out a little more?" The boy asked while slowly drawing closer and closer to Marvelous, until eventually he was standing direct in front of him. In a quick movement, the boy lowered his phone and shot his hand out toward the key, but Marvelous instantly reacted to it and caught his wrist, moving his hand out of the way faster than the boy could react.
"Nice!" Natsu cheered out loudly with his Exceed with their hands in the air.
"Told you." Erza said with a satisfied grin.
"Nice try, kid." The red ranger said as he pulled the boy to him and wrapped his arm around his neck in a headlock, with no member of the Gokaiger looking surprised but Doc. "What's the big idea? Answer me?"
Marvelous asked while holding the boy still, not bulging even a little no matter how hard the boy was struggling to break free.
"Let go off me! Get off!" The boy grunted as he wrestled with Marvelous, who then did what he said and let him go, causing the boy to lose his balance and ram straight into Doc, knocking the poor man down flat on his back.
"Ouch!" The mages of Fairy Tail cringed again at the impact, looking pitifully at Doc who was whimpering in pain on the ground.
"That must have hurt a lot. I hope that he's okay." Lucy stated with a soft, nervous laugh. Being someone who was constantly on the receiving end of her guildmates' eccentric antics, Lucy knew better than anyone what Doc must have felt, even though the Gokaiger looked far from it.
"How am I going to know anything about the greatest treasure, stupid!" The boy shouted to Marvelous in annoyance before hoping quickly onto his bike and rode off.
"And just like that he's off." Natsu snickered.
"So he was after the keys right from the start." Makarov said while stroking his beard thoughtfully, something that he realized he had been doing a lot today "I wonder why?"
"I have a feeling it's not because they hold the powers of the legendary heroes of Earth, is it, master?" Mira asked, and the guild master of Fairy Tail nodded his head in agreement.
"Speaking of… can he transform if he has the keys and their transforming devices? I honestly don't think a normal kid can wield those powers untrained but still…" Lucy pondered her thoughts aloud, making the members of her guild look at one another in wonder.
"Can't let you guard down for a second." Marvelous said as he and his crewmates watched the boy ride off.
"But I am pretty sure that you did." Joe chided, making Marvelous turn around to look at him before gasping loudly in realization.
"Oh no." Lucy said with a sweat drop.
Immediately, the captain shot his hand under his coat to check and after a moment, he found out that one of his keys was clearly missing, as a quick scene from when he was head-locking the boy showed that he had taken the chance to sneak his hand under the coat and steal one of the keys, which appeared to be the key of the Shinkenger red senshi.
At that, several members of Fairy Tail had to hold back the urge to facepalm, while others had a dumbfounded look on their faces.
"That little-!"
"Falling for that old trick. Not so marvelous now, captain." Joe said with a small, mocking smirk, causing Marvelous to look up and speak to him with a smirk.
"I'm gonna track that brat down and keelhaul him!"
"Oi oi! You didn't mean that for real, did you? I mean… he's just a kid." Gray said, as he and his guildmates watched Marvelous stomping away still with a smirk on his face. On his path, he elbowed Doc to get him out of the way, causing the poor doctor to fall down on his back again.
"Poor guy… at this point I think this is normal for him." Mira sighed with an amused smile on her face.
As Marvelous started searching for the boy in black clothes, it did not take it long for him to notice that Ahim had been following him around, causing him to come to a stop and looking back to ask her "Why are you following me?"
"I was worried about what you might do to that child." Ahim answered.
"What exactly did you think I was going to do?" Marvelous asked another question, this time fully turning around to speak to her.
"The guy did say he would keelhaul him. Someone like Ahim would definitely be worried." Macao said while chuckling in amusement with his friend, Wakaba.
"Let's hope that he's only kidding." Makarov laughed before taking a sip from his drink.
"Do what you want…" With that said and a roll of his eyes, Makarov walked away and continued searching for the kid, with Ahim following closely behind him.
At the same time, the scene cut back to the three rangers who had made themselves comfortable under one of the boat.
"I think Marvelous really liked that kid."
Joe said, making the mages of Fairy Tail widen their eyes in surprise, having not expected the blue senshi to say something like that. Their surprise was also shared by Doc, who gasped loudly as he turned around to ask Joe.
"Why!? Did you see how mad he was?"
"He probably enjoyed having his ranger key stolen so handily." Luke pointed out.
"That kid probably reminds him of how reckless he used to be." Joe nodded and told Doc with a small smirk.
"Really? That guy used to be a reckless person?" Gray asked in surprise, having noticed how calm and composed Marvelous had looked both inside and outside of fighting. It was hard for him to imagine that he used to be someone who was just like Natsu.
"If he really was, then something must have happened for him to have such a drastic change." Erza nodded.
"I wonder if it is related to acquiring his ranger power, or the keys." Mira pondered in interest.
Scene changed, showing the boy in black clothes hiding under a bridge with his bicycle next to him, having a look of burning determination on his face as he looked at the Shinken Red ranger key in his hand.
"Hey kid!"
But then suddenly, Marvelous called out to him and caused the boy to look up and see the Marvelous and Ahim looking down at him from above the bridge, with the red pirate standing on the fence with his arms crossing over his chest and a smirk on his face.
"Get him! Marvelous!" Natsu cheered.
Before he could run away, Marvelous had jumped off the bridge and landed in front of him, his hand extending forward to ask for his key back.
"Give it back."
"No! I mean, you guys have no intention of protecting the Earth, do you?" The boy asked, holding the key close to him.
"Oh, he stole the key because he wanted to be the one to protect Earth from the Zangyack." Lucy said in surprise.
"That is a noble thought, for someone so young." Erza nodded her head.
"But it is also incredibly reckless." Laxus said and Erza nodded her head to him in agreement.
"No wonder why Joe said he reminded Marvelous of his old self, if he is really that reckless." Levy said with a smile.
"Nope!" Marvelous answered matter of factly as he walked closer to the boy.
"These were created on Earth!" The boy continued to reason "You are supposed to use them to defend this planet!" the boy protests. "I am not giving it back!"
"I don't know where they came from, but they are mine now." Marvelous said in a serious tone "A man who saved my life gave them to me… so that I could fulfill a promise I made him."
The revelation made the mages of Fairy Tail widen their eyes in surprise and interest. What Marvelous had just said pretty much answered them the question of how he and his crewmates came to obtain the ranger keys of the past super sentai.
"Interesting…" Makarov mused with a smile.
"Like I care." The boy said as he held up the key "I am gonna use this power to fight the Zangyack."
"I am afraid that you can't…" Ahim said in a low tone as Marvelous turned his head sideways to look at the boy in disbelief.
"Why do you want to fight so badly?" The captain then asked, his voice lowering down to a much softer tone.
"Because my grandpa was killed in the Legendary War. To save me…"
The revelation caused the mages of Fairy Tail to gasp loudly in shock before becoming quiet, with a heavy atmosphere falling upon them.
Marvelous also had a similar expression, and a flashback of him was shown, revealing the captain being chased by the Zangyack soldiers on a high crane. Before their leader could deal the killing blow, as Marvelous was knocked down by the soldiers, a warrior cladded in all red wielding the same Gokaiger sword arrived and stepped between them.
The senshi then used his own body to block the projectiles that were fired upon Marvelous before turning around to show him a chest full of the ranger keys, the same chest that were seen in the previous recording.
"Our journey ends here." He said "You need to live, for my sake. And you need to find the greatest treasure in the universe! Got it?"
With that said, the man turned around and charged at the group of Zangyack soldiers with his blade at the ready, leaving Marvelous to look at him in shock and bewilderment, just like the look that the mages of Fairy Tail had as they watched the warrior sacrificed his life for Marvelous, fighting off the enemies without fear before explosion swallowed him and everything whole.
"So that's how…" Makarov spoke up in a low tone. On the other hand, he and many members of the guild could not help but wonder who the red senshi was, having a high amount of respect for the man for the sacrifice that he had made without even a second thought.
"I am sick of it." The boy continued to Marvelous "People dying, for my sake…"
Ahim looked at the boy and was about to say something, when suddenly an engine noise caught her attention. Snapping her head around, Ahim looked up and gasped when she saw another Zangyack fleet looming over the city, with soldiers already being deployed from their ships.
"Please, wait!" Ahim called out and ran after the boy, who ran off before she could stop him from doing so. At the same time, the other Gokaiger appeared to have also noticed the invasion, and they wasted no time to go look for Ahim and their captain.
Not too far away, several Gormin soldiers and their leader, a green tentacled gun armed monster landed on the ground and started opening fire on the civilians, killing many before heading off to destroy the buildings while laughing maniacally.
"I love it! I'm gonna keep shooting until everything is leveled! Bang! Bang!"
With each word said, building fell down around the tentacle monster, sending the members of Fairy Tail into an uproar, with many feeling their blood boiling at all the deaths and destructions that the monster was causing just by himself.
At the same time, Zangyack Gormin casually lined up and shot the defenseless people down, slaughtering them like cattle in a slaughter house despite the fact that they could not do anything but run away in fear and terror.
"Those bastards!" Natsu roared in anger, his veins popping as he glared hatefully at the Zangyack troop on the scene, as they just beat and killed whoever that they wanted.
"This is… these people don't even stand a chance." Erza murmured in horror, as Wendy forced herself to look away when another civilian fell down, being hit square in the face by a Gormin wielding a large metal bat.
It did not take it long for Ahim and the boy in black clothes to arrive at the scene, looking at all the deaths in front of them in horror. Clenching the key tightly in his hand, the boy steeled his nerves and was about to run toward the Zangyack troop, but he was suddenly stopped by Marvelous, who held out his transforming device in front of his face.
"Oi! Don't tell me that he's gonna…"
"I… I think we can trust Marvelous on this one." Despite the uncertainty in his tone, Makarov still finished his statement, causing everyone to look at him in surprise and disbelief.
"I am with gramps on this one." Laxus said "That boy needs to learn his lesson the hard way."
"Yes, and I trust that they will not let any harm come to him." Freed said, agreeing with the leader of their team as Laxus nodded his head to his words "I have the feeling the suit is going to be strong enough just by itself."
"You said you wanted to fight." The captain said firmly to the boy, despite Ahim protesting against his idea "If you can beat him, then you can have the key. If you can't, then you give it back. Deal?"
"Captain, you can't suggest something so absurd!" Ahim tried to reason, but Marvelous appeared to have already made up his mind, nodding his head to the boy and moving the transforming device closer to him.
With a look of determination, the boy took the device from him and used the key to transform into Shinken red, having a similar look to the form that Marvelous had transformed into in the previous recording, with the only differences being the heights and builds.
"So anyone can transform as long as they have those keys and the transforming device."
"But can they wield that power is the real question." Gajeel pointed out as Levy noted it down in her notebook.
"I guess we will see now." Erza nodded her head, as the mages of Fairy Tail straightened themselves up, knowing that the time for battle had finally come.
Drawing his blade, the boy charged at the group of Zangyack soldiers and general, with Ahim calling after and trying to stop him, but she herself was stopped by Marvelous, who grabbed her arm and dragged her back before she could go after the boy.
"Don't stop him!" Marvelous said in a perfectly calm tone, making Ahim turn around and look at him in disbelief. At the same time, the small Shinken Red had engaged the Gormin in battle, putting up a decent fight with his power and weapon.
However, it was obvious to the battle hardened members of Fairy Tail that despite putting up a good fight against the Gormin, the boy clearly had no experience in fighting, let alone wielding such power. He swung his sword aimlessly at everything around him, his footwork was way off and appeared to be driven by pure anger and determination alone.
"What is going on here? Who is that!?" Luka asked in shock as she and the other Gokaiger arrived at the scene, surrounding their captain who was being stared at worriedly by Ahim.
"It's the boy who stole the ranger key." Ahim explained, as the boy fought off the Gormin. He was pushing them back, but it was clear he wasn't defeating any of them. The longer the battle dragged on, the more it looked like they were just toying with him "Captain said he could have the key, should he be able to defeat the enemies…"
"Seriously!? He's just some kid from this planet!" Doc pointed out in shock.
"That's overdoing it a little." Joe joined the conversation and gave his two cents, having a scoff on his face as he spoke to the captain from behind him.
"This guy sure knows how to make an understatement." Gray said with a chuckle "But I like him. He's cool."
"Yes, Gray-sama." Juvia spoke with a soft laugh.
"Eh, Marvelous is way cooler." Natsu said with a shrug of his shoulders, making Gray snort but decided to not say anything.
But Marvelous only stayed silent, watching as the boy charged at the tentacle monster leader of the troop, attacking him with a vertical slash of his blade.
But the blade did not reach its target, as the monster casually just turned around and used the knuckle brass he was wearing to block the sword.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" The monster asked as he casually pushed the blade down despite all the strength the boy was putting into it. The monster then knocked the boy back, sending him reeling before he was able to catch his balance and once again charge at him, but he immediately kicked the boy in the stomach, making him collapse in pain.
Before he could recover, the leader had stepped onto his back, and began to give the boy the beating of his life, punching and kicking him around until the boy was cornered on the top of a nearby building. With a backhand, the boy was sent flying, crashing violently into a nearby building before falling down, grunting in pain as the ranger key and Marvelous' transforming device fell out of his grip, causing his suit to disappear.
The mages of Fairy Tail sighed in relief when they saw that the boy looked relatively unharmed despite the amount of damage he had taken. He had a few bruises on his face and without a doubt all over his body, but the only thing that seemed to be seriously wounded was his pride and his confidence.
"Man, that is some incredibly durable armor." Gajeel could not help but make the comment "Even my iron armor would not last that long and protect me as good as it did to the boy if I was beaten up like that."
"I wonder what is the material that the suit is made of. It looks like silk and yet…" Erza rubbed her chin in interest. She had a little armor that was kinda like that, but even though the materials were more durable than normal clothes despite looking and feeling the same, it was obvious they could not provide her with the same protection.
"Are you alright?!" Ahim asked worriedly as she helped the boy up with Doc, but he only had a dejected look on his face as he looked down in shame.
"I couldn't do it… I don't have what it takes to defend the Earth." The boy said in a low tone.
"Understand now?" Marvelous asked as he walked up and then bent over to pick up the key and his transforming device "You wanna protect this planet, figure out your own way to do it."
"That's right. Even if you have the power to do something, it's not guaranteed that you can do it without any preparation or proper training." Makarov said wisely, making the mages of Fairy Tail look at him, taking his words to their heart. "Sometimes, fighting is not the answer to every problem. There are other ways for that boy to help protect his planet."
"That's true, master." Mira smiled warmly as she nodded her head to Makarov before serving him another mug of beer.
"How?"
"Don't ask me. Figure that one out yourself." Marvelous answered curtly before he started walking away, but then came to a sudden stop as he asked "Hey! Does this planet have any value?"
"Ohh, there it is!" Natsu said with an excited grin, with Gray nodding his head in agreement.
"Yeah… definitely!" The boy answered, having seemingly realized the hidden meaning behind Marvelous' question.
"Then where it is?" Marvelous asked again.
"Everywhere you look." The boy answered after taking a second to think about it. "If your Pirates... then you can damn well figure it out for yourselves!"
His answer caused Marvelous to turn fully around and smile at him. Even Joe had a smirk on his face as his crewmates beamed at the boy.
"Well said, kid. Very well said." Makarov grinned as Marvelous turned back and walked away with the rest of the crew soon joining him, with Joe patting the boy softly on his head before going after his group, leaving the boy completely speechless.
"Alright, Gokaiger! Show us what you guys got this time! Go beat their asses!"
Natsu cheered out as the scene changed to that of the Zangyack troop from earlier, wandering the mostly empty streets of the city searching for another target until they were stopped by the arrival of the Gokaiger, who carried a casual air about them as they looked at their enemies.
"Well, if it isn't those wanted pirates. What do you want?" The leader asked in annoyance, but Marvelous simply smirked in response and brought out his transforming device along with his Gokaiger key.
"We're just looking for something." The red senshi said, and then brought out his key along with his crewmates, who held up their keys in their hands before at once, they performed the transforming sequence, donning themselves in their armors.
"GOKAI RED!"
"GOKAI BLUE!"
"GOKAI GREEN!"
"GOKAI YELLOW!"
"GOKAI PINK!"
"PIRATES SENTAI, GOKAIGER!
An uproar of cheer went off within the hall of Fairy Tail guild as the Gokaiger finished their transforming sequence, bringing out their weapons and charging at the Zangyack troop on the command of their captain, who shot down multiple enemies standing around the leader with precise shots of his gun.
"What a joke! Get them, Gormin!" The leader commanded, and an all out battle broke out between the Zangyack and the Gokaiger, who proved themselves to be just as formidable as they were in the previous recording. Even if some of them were separated from the others, the rangers had no trouble holding themselves against the overwhelming number of enemies, striking and shooting them down with their weapons.
"Ahim!" Joe called out as he tossed Ahim his gun. At the same time, the pink ranger threw the swordsman her sword, cutting down several enemies around him before Joe caught it in his hand and started dual wielding both blades against their enemies.
"There it is!" Erza widened her eyes and watched Joe fight in an excited manner, studying his footwork and paying close attention to every move that he made. Erza herself was a skilled swordswoman, and she had fought against many talented swordsmen in her life, but she had never seen anyone carrying himself and fighting with such grace like the blue senshi, who quickly dispatched another group of enemies with his swords.
"Ahim is good too. She's quite the markswoman." Bisca commented as she watched Ahim leaped over a group of enemies who she had forced to line up in front of her, shooting them all down while being upside down in the air.
On the other side of the battlefield, Luka and Doc fought together against a group of Gormin, following Ahim and Joe's example and swapping their weapons with each other. While not as skilled as Joe, Luka proved herself to be quite capable of handling the two blades at the same time.
The green ranger, meanwhile, fought as clumsily as anyone could have expected, but his conventional style still proved to be incredibly effective against the Gormin, who had no clue how to catch him as he kept jumping, running, and rolling around.
And then the scene went to Marvelous, who took on the largest group of enemies by himself, cutting the ones in front of him and simultaneously shooting the ones behind him without needing to look before they could sneak up and blindside him from behind. Three green armor captains then lined up and tried to shoot him with their blasters, but Marvelous simply used the body of a Gormin as a meat shield to protect himself from the projectiles, before raising his gun to shoot the captains as they charged at him, forcing them back with a casual air about him.
"Hell yeah, Marvelous!" Natsu cheered out loudly alongside Happy, as the entire guild cheered and clapped their hands for the Gokaiger. Soon, the other four rangers gathered around their captain and inserted a series of keys into their weapons, which then started glowing and building up energy as the group prepared to unleash their most powerful attacks.
"HAH!" Ahim and Doc shouted as they fired their guns at the captain on the left, while Joe and Luka leaped into the air and came down with devastating slashes of their blades together on the captain on the right.
The one in the middle, meanwhile, was destroyed by Marvelous, who fired the empowered bullet at him before slashing his blade down, sending a wave of energy that propelled the bullet even faster forward, cutting through the captain before destroying all three of them in an explosion.
"YEAHHH!" Fairy Tail cheered, but their celebration was cut short when the tentacle monster stepped back into the scene and fired upon them, forcing the Gokaiger to rapidly block before leaping out of the way as the leader began to advance toward them while laughing maniacally.
"Don't get carried away now!" The Zangyack leader said "I am not going down like those Gormin!"
"He sure has no love for his goons, does he?" Gray asked with a scoff, as the tentacle monster started firing upon the Gokaiger again.
This time, however, the rangers simply brought out a set of ranger keys and inserted it into their transforming devices, changing their suits to different ones and bringing out their associated weapons to shoot down every projectile flying around before it could reach them while standing back to back.
"DEKARANGER!"
After the device finished that announcement, the Gokaiger in their Dekaranger forms turned to the monster and fired upon him at the same time, sending him stumbling back while carrying out in pain before he was forced to drop his weapon. Angered, the monster charged at them, but the Gokaiger brought out another set of keys and transformed again.
"HURRICANGER!"
"Grand Ninja Art: Shadow Dance!" Just as the name of the technique, two shoji doors then closed upon the tentacle monster, whose shadow could be seen being struck and cut repeatedly by the Gokaiger, knocking him around with no chance of counterattack.
"HOLY SHIT!" Natsu cried out in excitement at the display of technique of his favorite motif, ninja, watching as the Gokaiger leaped into the air and kicked the tentacle monster one by one until he was sent flying and crashing into the ground, with the shoji doors opening to reveal the damage he had taken.
The Gokaiger then brought out a set of keys, but unlike the previous ones this set were all red in color.
"SHINKENGER!"
"GAORANGER!"
"MAGIRANGER!"
"GOSEIGER!"
"GEKIRANGER!"
"DAMNNN!" Natsu gasped in amazement.
"So it looks like they can share their keys with one another too. It does not necessarily have to be the red ranger turning into the other red rangers then." Makarov said, as Levy noted what she had just seen down in her notebook. That was an interesting piece of information regarding the overwhelming power that the Gokaiger possessed.
"I think it's time for payback." Marvelous said as he looked at the Shinken samurai sword in his hand. At once, the others charged into battle, with Ahim and Doc unleashing a tornado of fire at the tentacle monster, burning him up before Joe and Luke threw themselves at him, striking and slashing him with a series of martial art techniques.
The monster was sent reeling when the two delivered two quick palm strikes into his gut, before parting away to allow Marvelous to step in and slash him with his sword. With one final, horizontal slash, the monster took his last breath and collapsed, exploding violently behind the Gokaiger as they walked away with their captain.
"YEAHHHH!" The mages of Fairy Tail cheered, feeling an excitement unlike anything anyone had felt before as they celebrated the Gokaiger's victory over their enemies. Makarov himself also had a huge smile on his face as he held up his mug to Marvelous and his crew, causing the whole guild to do the same.
Before they could say or do anything, however, the scene suddenly cut to that of a dark control room, with an ominous atmosphere surrounding its occupants, a group of Gormin soldiers. A one eyed, mechanical warrior then stepped into view, speaking up in a calm, robotic like tone to the one sitting in front of the control panel in front of him.
"At this rate, we will incur master Walz Gil's wrath again." He said "We must do something."
"Leave it to me." A female figure wearing an orange lenses said as she walked up from behind the mechanical figure "This is one of my latest creations. I didn't anticipate having to use it on such a backwoods planet, though…"
"Lemme guess.. these are the big bad of the Zangyack empire." Gray said in a dark tone, noticing a dark figure standing in a corner beside the female in green as she took out a gun of a sort from under the control panel of the ship.
"It seems that they are. And this… master Walz Gil must be the mastermind behind them as well." Gajeel nodded his head. "They certainly have a dangerous vibe about them, unlike those ground troops that they have been sending out."
"What is she doing?" Lucy asked in confusion, as the green female alien pointed her gun forward and pulled the trigger. The stellar mage soon got her answer, when the main ship of the Zangyack fleet opened up to reveal two large cannons, which then fired twin beams of purple lasers toward Earth.
The first beam struck the spot where the tentacle monster had once been, causing his form to rematerialize before enlarging itself up to a ridiculous size. The second beam, meanwhile, struck the three captains from earlier, causing them to grow to the same size as their leader, towering over every building around them as they began to mindlessly wreak havoc across the entire city.
"WHAT THE HELL!?" Natsu and Gray shouted dramatically with their hands in the air above them, looking just as shocked and surprised as the other members of the guild, who could hardly believe what they were seeing.
"This is unreal…" Erza murmured.
"Alright Gokaiger, it's time to call up your ship!" Makarov said, remembering and reminding everyone of the giant droid that had battled the whole fleet of the Zangyack empire in the previous recording. Immediately, the whole guild quieted down, looking at the projection before them in anticipation, with no one more so than Natsu and the younger generation of the guild, who had been looking forward to see their giant mech once again.
"It somehow rejuvenated his biology, on top of growing to that size!?" Doc asked in panic as the Gokaiger stood watching their enemies laying waste to everything around them, their shots causing explosions as tall and as large as they were.
The others, especially Marvelous, did not look worried in the slightest. The captain then brought out his transforming device, and pressed a number of buttons that then caused their ship, the Gokai Galleon, to arrive at the scene from behind the cloud.
"Here it comes." Marvelous said and together, the Gokaiger leaped into the air and grabbed the ropes that came down from the ship, allowing it to pull them up.
Marvelous himself wasted no time getting into his cockpit, driving the Gokai Galleon toward the group of gigantic monsters before opening fire upon them as soon as they were close. Sending two out of the three giant captain reeling, the red ranger then turned his ship around and rammed into the third one, knocking him away while carrying out in pain before unleashing a barrage of cannonballs upon the tentacle monster, sending him crashing into the ground.
"You guys ready?" Marvelous asked, and after receiving the confirmations from his crewmates, who were sitting in their respective cockpits, the captain announced "Alright, let's pull out the showstopper!"
With that said, the hull of his ship opened up to allow a group of vehicles to emerge from one another in a similar manner, with the bule spaceship being controlled by Joe being the last one of them all. Unleashing another attack upon the group of giant monsters, the ships then shot into the air and surrounded the Gokai Galleon, morphing and changing its mechanical parts into arms and legs for a torso, which was turned into by the red spaceship.
"GOKAIOH READY! Full sail ahead!"
The mages of the Fairy Tail could not get any more excited at the sight of the Gokaioh, cheering out so loudly the walls of the entire building itself rattle under their roars.
The Gokaioh then descended upon its enemies, wielding two long pirates blades in hands. The moment that it landed on the ground with a surprisingly softer impact than anyone could have expected, the giant mech leaped over the tentacle monster and its remaining soldier, slashing them each with both blades before landing behind their back.
The two monsters then lunged at the giant mech, but the Gokaioh swiftly forced them back and kept them well outside of reach using its twin blades, slashing and cutting the two monster while the ground beneath them exploded and shattered at every force of their strike.
"I will rip you to shred!"
The tentacle monster shouted angrily and jumped onto the Gokaioh from behind, but the whole mech opened up and revealed a series of cannon, with the largest of them all coming out of its chest. With a mocking laugh from Luka, the cannon unleashed a barrage of cannonballs at the last captain, who stood no chance against the attack and was destroyed in a violent explosion.
"What was that!?" The leader asked in disbelief, but the Gokaioh simply ignored him to turn around and point its weaponry at him. At once, the Gokaiger brought out their keys and inserted it into their wheels, causing the whole mech to start glowing with power.
Cannonballs were then loaded up into the main cannon within its limbs, and the Gokaiger unleashed their finishing attack upon the monster, giving him no chance for a counterattack as their cannon repeatedly fired upon him. Once the assault ended, the monster let out an agonizing cry before collapsing, dying in an explosion that was similar to the previous one.
"YEAHHH!" The mages of Fairy Tail cheered and celebrated with one another as the Gokaioh emerged victorious over its enemies, their hands pushing their mugs into the air to give the Gokaiger a toast. Even the more serious members of the guild could barely contain their excitement, and joined the others in celebrating the Gokaiger's second victory.
The scene then changed, showing the Gokai Galleon sailing into the sunset. Doc and Ahim could both be seen watching the sun descending slowly over the horizon from a window, marveling at the breathtaking sight before them.
"This planet's sun is so beautiful…"
"Yes." Ahim smiled and nodded her head in agreement.
"What do you suppose happened to that kid?" Luka asked in curiosity as she walked over to sit down in front of Joe, who appeared to have returned to his card game.
"Who knows." The blue ranger said absently, looking to have returned to his old self once again.
"Captain said he was going to keelhaul him," Ahim said with a smile as she approached the pair, with the scene swapping to the captain who was standing on the very top of the bowsprit, a smile on his face as he gazed at the sunset "but he seems to have had the boy's best interests at heart the entire time."
"Trueee!" Natsu laughed, wholeheartedly agreeing with Ahim. "That is why he is the best!"
"That, I must agree with Natsu. There is much to that young man than just a cocky captain." Makarov nodded his head with a wide grin on his face "You kids could definitely learn something from him and his crew, so you better pay attention!"
"Yeah yeah, jiji!" Natsu rolled his eyes, but ended up smiling broadly nonetheless.
"I wonder about that…" Joe said with a small smirk.
"Are you sure you are not giving him too much credit?" Luka asked, causing Ahim to gasp softly in surprise, but sigh in relief when she saw the pair was trying to hold back their laughter.
Doc then walked over to them and asked with a sense of interest in his tone, "By the way, I guess that prediction about a guy in black was wrong- ?"
"I mean… I am not so sure about that." Makarov said while shaking his head, having a meaningful smile on his face as he looked at the Gokaiger.
"Yeah, from that boy, the Gokaiger has learnt that Earth is worth their protection." Mira pointed out with a nod of her head to the master "Even if that boy is not the person that they are looking for, he's certainly given them a treasure in its own way."
"Not necessarily-sarily!" Navi spoke up with an audible noise of gulping "I'm sure that he was there."
Navi's statement caused the mages of Fairy Tail to widen their eyes in surprise, before the scene cut to that of a cloaked figure who was watching the Gokai Galleon sailing away from afar. They then pulled the hood of their black cloak back, revealing themselves to be a young man with brown hair with red highlights, with his chest carrying a symbol that was similar to that of one of the transformations they had seen Ahim donning on herself earlier.
"That is… Magiranger!" Levy blurted out after checking her book, and the scene once again faded to black with the mysterious young man being the last thing that they saw.
