Chapter 38
Back at the domain…
Satoru wasn't expecting this.
In fact, it was shortly after breakfast. The kids had gone out with Sukuna of all people, leaving him alone as he continued to toy with his meal. "Sensei…"
He peered to his left. Megumi stood there rather nervously to him!
"Hey… sorry about the appearance, I can't quite change it at the moment."
Megumi nodded. "Do… do you think I could have a moment of your time?"
The question took him aback, but Satoru nodded to him. "I wasn't really eating breakfast anyways. You ate?" Megumi nodded. "Okay, let's go outside and talk."
They left the domain and went to one of the many wooded areas. Megumi then paused and turned to him. "I… I can't control myself!" he protested. "Ever since this whole thing happened, I… I just can't seem to get a handle on my power… did… did I have trouble before? When I was first manifesting the ten shadows?"
Satoru, smirked.
"Did you ever," he said. "It was rather awkward that every so often, your bedroom would be flooded with rabbits. Frogs were worst but you were going through a phase where you really liked frogs…"
"Sensei…" Megumi growled.
"The fact remains is this, you came out on top over ALL the problems you had with the technique. You learned and figured things out for yourself. The fact that you have changed recently, shouldn't have altered that mindset of yours."
Megumi was silent.
"You must be going through something very difficult at this moment, I'm flattered you came to me, despite looking like this. But at the same time, how do you think I could have helped you? No offense, you're out of my league now. I'm not a dragon and this is dragon stuff that you are dealing with."
He sighed. "You've been the only one I could turn to when things were happening to me. I thought that… perhaps you may have a different perspective…"
He smiled to him. "Take your time to understand what you have, as well. Come to accept it. Like it or not, there is no going back. You're a smart kid, I have no doubt you would have become a great sorcerer without my guidance…"
He turned and saw Megumi freeze. He peered away rather embarrassed to the notion. "I just… I didn't ask to become something else."
"HEY! We finally have something else in common besides being a jujutsu sorcerer!"
He saw a small smirk come over his student. "This is the first time you have acted like yourself in a while…"
Gojo paused, he sighed and nodded in agreement. "Yeah… that's true… still… WHEN IS SHE GOING TO CHANGE US BACK!" he demanded. "I know I said something stupid, I get it, I'm a jerk, but still… WHY!"
Megumi… was laughing now.
Satoru paused as he peered at his student. "You're amused by this?!" he demanded of him.
"It's not every day I see sensei get flustered. Sometimes, seeing you humbled is rather refreshing…"
"Watch it, you're not use to being a dragon yet. I am still fairly certain I could beat your ass still…"
"I rather not find out considering I can't control what I do… still… thanks sensei."
Satoru nodded as Megumi went on his way.

Sukuna and the kids returned a short time later.
Gojo went to see them as Sukuna departed, claiming he needed to get ready for his drinking party tonight. "TOSHI! WHERE ARE YOU, YOU BASTARD!" somehow, Sukuna was determined to find Toshi for tonight.
Just how many people does he intend on drinking with?! Not to mention, who would want to join him for said drink?
Anyways, Gojo turned to his children, but instantly picked up on something. "What happened?" he asked.
Mochi shied away, Rook on the other hand talked a mile a minute as to what happened… Gojo couldn't make a lick of sense out of it. Shin however summarized everything when Rook stopped talking.
"We're being stalked by a sorcerer named Trigun, he is even dressed up as that anime character from the show. The thing was, he was after Mochi." He explained. "He hit on her in the food court, the guy was in his thirties…"
Satoru… was getting pissed.
"WHOA DAD!" Rook shouted.
Gojo snapped out of it, but jumped when he saw the ground was carved into.
Mochi froze but smiled. "Sorry, go on…"
"Sukuna dealt with him, in fact in the mall, he just knocked the guy around, outside without anyone witnessing it, he toyed with him. Did you know there is a move a sorcerer can do that can break the flow of curse energy?" he asked.
"Those are hard to do, it's the timing of everything." He explained.
"Yeah, well… Oji did so with ease, he had Rook watch him and tried to teach him how to do so visually…"
He turned to Rook.
His eyes were sparkling with inspiration. "I HAVE to learn it… I WILL perfect that… it was so cool to see that up close…"
"What about this Trigun guy?"
"Oh, Mochi bashed a wine bottle in his face." Shin said bluntly. "She was going to attack with fire tigers, but opted to go with a wine bottle Oji kept out for such an occasion."
He was rather stunned as he peered at his daughter. "Really? You didn't unleash kittens on him? Or really large fire cats?"
She turned away rather embarrassed. "I didn't want him to see what I could do entirely… at the same time he was an ass… I just wanted to get away from him."
"Which is completely fair…" Rook said. "I was BEGGING Oji to let me belt the guy's face in, but apparently he didn't have enough fun the first time around doing so…" Rook pouted. "I wanted a good shot or two…"
Satoru snickered. "There's always next time, besides. I'm glad you kids are safe… but… weren't you going clothing shopping?"
Shin reached into his pocket. He took out a device from Mechamaru. "He's working on a pocket storage device for the sorcerers with no curse energy. We're testing them out for him today."
"Ah, good. If you kids need anything…"
"Actually, dad, can you help me train?" Rook asked. "I want to test something out but I could use your help."
Gojo smirked but nodded to him.
