Avatar Aang felt an overwhelming heat all around him. He stood on a weird shaped island that Aang didn't recognize. It was a strange looking one with ash looking sand with scrawny looking, black trees with no leaves on them whatsoever. The grass around the trees were very dull, and there didn't seem to be any birds around. He saw a couple turtle crabs heading towards some big, ragged rocks to crawl into.

Though based on where it was, he could tell it was somewhere by the Fire Nation. He could spot a giant volcano in the distance, the ocean separating him from it. Aang knew that's where the Fire Lord's Palace was.

"Zuko," Aang thought as he just remembered what he was doing just now.

He looked down at his chest, but didn't see any marking on him. It was gone.

Even if he couldn't see it, it still felt like the marking was there. He just hoped the heat he was feeling was coming from the Fire Nation, and not from that marking.

Aang let out a big sigh as if he had been holding it since he got onto Appa to go to Ba Sing Se. He knew he was here for a reason. Possibly because of Avatar Roku. He took a deep breath in and out and stepped into the ominous looking woods. Looking around, the woods gave off a very strange, ominous feeling to it. Aang felt like there was something here besides Avatar Roku. He tried not to think about it as he kept walking around, looking for Avatar Roku.

"Avatar Roku!" Aang called out, "I know you're here!"

He climbed around a couple of fallen down trees and looked around for any sign of Avatar Roku.

Nothing.

Not even a slight breeze or flame.

Aang gave this strange island a weird look, confused as to why he was here.

"Maybe I have to keep going through the woods?" Aang thought to himself.

He shook it off and kept going. Luckily, the trees weren't as thick to go through this time around. Soon, he came across a rock formation that looked like where a waterfall use to be. As he took another look at the waterfall, it looked like there might have been some sort of cave. Once he was spotted it, Aang knew that's what he was meant to find. A pond around it felt just as hot as Aang felt as he walked right up to it. Before he could head over to the waterfall, Avatar Roku's reflection appeared through the pond.

Aang almost stumbled into the pond, but was able to save himself from embarrassment.

"Aang," Avatar Roku greeted very seriously as his voice echoed across the island.

"Avatar Roku, finally!" Aang cried out with a sigh of relief, "I've been trying to get a hold of you."

"Me as well, Aang. It seems you've come into contact with something that's blocking my connection to you."

Aang's onyx eyes widened in shock, not having any idea that the necklace was doing that.

"Wait, seriously?! I wouldn't have put on that stupid necklace if it was going to do that!" Aang cried out, "I don't even have the marking here, what's that all about?!"

"Aang, listen to me," Avatar Roku said to calm him down, "I don't have much time. This connection isn't going to last very long."

Aang relaxed a little and nodded his head.

"This Island... It's very important that you come here right away... The necklace you found is very dangerous... It's the only way you can get rid of it... I sense a very familiar anger coming off of it... Even I can't help get rid of it now that you've put it on... Come here... Or else..."

"Avatar Roku?" Aang said, noticing Avatar Roku was starting to already lose connection.

The pond rippled over his reflection, causing Aang to only see his own reflection now. He was alone on the island.

"Avatar Roku!"

Suddenly, Aang felt a really cooling sensation come over him, that almost felt like he was being soothed by something very familiar and relaxing. He closed his eyes, smiling at who was trying to heal him.

"Katara..."

Back by the tents...

Avatar Aang jolted upright, causing Katara lose concentration and splashed ice cold water everywhere.

"Aang!" Katara cried out, tears flowing out of her eyes, "You're okay!"

She gave him a big hug and a sudden kiss on the cheek. Even though Aang was a bit out of it, he felt a blush come over him.

"Maybe I should leave you two alone," Zuko said, standing there to lend Katara some help.

Aang looked over at Zuko and noticed that he was soaking wet.

"Oh, I'm sorry Zuko!" Katara said, laughing at seeing Zuko all soaking wet, "Aang just woke up so suddenly!"

Katara felt so cold from the healing session, that Aang wanted to hug her some more. Now that he was awake, he could feel the heat start to come back to him. Aang looked down at the marking. Somehow, Katara's healing session this time didn't do very much, but it at least stopped the glowing. It looked like it might spread some more very soon.

"I'm going to let everyone know that Aang's okay," Zuko said to Katara, soon leaving them alone to talk.

Aang soon realized that the sun was already rising. He'd been out since last night, and Katara had been up all night, healing him. He couldn't believe that she'd just done that.

"She must be exhausted," Aang thought.

"Aang, I tried to heal you! I really really tried, but I didn't seem to do very much," Katara said to him, still feeling teary eyed.

"Katara, it's okay. After what just happened, I think you actually helped a lot," Aang told her as he held her soft hands.

"Aang! You're okay!" Sokka cried as Suki, Toph and Zuko joined him.

Team Avatar gave a big group hug, making Aang feel so happy that he had them around for moments like these.

"We were really worried about you, Twinkle Toes," Toph said to him, lightly punching his forearm.

"Katara really went all out with the healing session," Suki said, giving Katara a subtle grin, "You should've seen it."

Katara felt a blemish across her face start to form, but shook it off to get serious.

"Aang, what happened back there in the woods?" Katara asked him, still holding his hand.

Aang gripped her hand back for support, and she knew this was something everyone needed to here.

"I don't know. I just suddenly got a really hot burning sensation all around me, and I... passed out..." Aang explained to them, "When I passed out, I finally got into contact with Avatar Roku."

"Avatar Roku? This is great!" Sokka said to Aang, looking relieved.

"Well... He kind of sent to some strange island right near the Fire Nation. He says that I have to go there and that it's the only way to get it off. Zuko, do you know of an island possibly behind the Fire Lord's Palace?"

Zuko thought for a moment, but then remembered something.

"Yes, actually there is. Sokka, do you have a map?" Zuko asked Sokka.

"I do, hold on a sec," Sokka said as he ran over to his tent and pulled out a big map that he used for the Day of Black Sun.

Sokka opened it up and let Zuko take the lead in this one. Zuko looked at the map of the Fire Nation and pointed at an island right behind the Fire Lord Palace.

"There. This island use to be used to hide treasures, hidden treasures, rare jewels, anything you can think of," Zuko explained to everyone.

"You never told us you had an island full of hidden treasure!" Sokka cried out, "I'm in!"

"Wait, why would Avatar Roku want you to go there?" Toph asked.

"Maybe there's a treasure that could help get rid of it," Aang explained, "He kind of lost connection. That's kind of the other thing, this necklace is blocking my connection to Avatar Roku."

Everyone looked so taken aback by this, especially Katara.

"You're losing your connection to Avatar Roku?! Are you sure this isn't blocking out all of the Avatars?!" Katara asked, absolutely terrified, "This is bad!"

"Katara, calm down," Zuko said, "We'll figure this out. I don't know much about this island very much. This island hasn't been used since Fire Lord Sozin was around. Maybe Uncle Iroh knows more about this island than I do."

"Shouldn't we head over there now? This seems rather urgent," Suki said to Zuko.

"Well, we're on our way there. We might as well stop by and then head over there," Aang told them as he put his robe back on.

Aang started to take down the tents, with everyone helping out. Katara was very worried and wanted to rush over to the island, but she knew they had to know more about this island, so she grabbed her things and helped the others.

Another Chapter!

Avatar Roku was finally able to reach out to Aang! Avatar Roku brought him to some strange island somewhere around the Fire Nation. It seems that there's something on that island that Aang might need that could help him get rid of the necklace. Zuko doesn't know much about this island since it hasn't been used a for long time, so they're almost in Ba Sing Se. Hmm... I wonder what that was all about?? Looks like Aang is going to have to go on another adventure soon!

More to come soon!
