For legitimate health reasons and definately not dramatic effect, Edward awoke slowly, consciousness returning in trickles of sound - the solid, steady beeping of a heart monitor - before awareness returned enough to crack his eyes open. Everything was blurred, of course, but even at night the white stuco ceiling was different than Tamaki's Sistine Chapel knock-off dining room roof.

"D'd 't w'rk?" Ed slurred, his consonants almost illegible without any vowels.

"Edward!" His little brother's voice was loud in his ear, and he strained to tilt his head towards it. There was Al, skelletally skinny, but with freshly shorn hair and more color in his cheeks than he had ever seen during his glimpses of his little brother at the Gate of Truth.

"A'phons," he murmured, smiling with relief, "s'rry I'm late."

"Ed, you big dummy! I'm so glad you finally woke up!"

"Me too, Al. Man, I had the craziest dream..."

And so Edward explained in mumbles and yawns his sojourn to the other side of the Gate, and Al accepted it unflinchingly as the truth. After all, it's a crazy world they lived in, and he trusted his older brother not to be fucking with him, though he totally would if he wasn't so out of it.

In return, Alphonse explained how Edward was in a coma back in Amestris until, presumably, his soul returned to his body. He had been given nutrients through a feeding tube and saline drips, but the lack of activity had still caused some muscle loss, which was less than ideal with his newly returned arm in the state it was.

Time passed, as it often does, until Alphonse was mostly better, and Ed was all better, and they were getting ready to part ways for their journies to Creta and Xing, respectively. Edward was still capable of alchemy, unlike one of his other-world characters, so that was already a big plus. And yet, it was time for Winry to see him off at the train station, and when he was about to stutter out his proposal based on the law of equivalent exchange, some stress reaction to his nerves filled his head with the need to be Winry's prince.

Stepping forward, Ed delicately grasped Winry's hands, twirled her, led her in a dip, and kissed her full on the mouth. Gently pulling back, he met her confused and startled gaze with his own, intense smolder.

"Wait for me, Winry," he told her firmly. He pulled her up, and kneeled in front of her. "And when I come home, marry me?"

Winry flushed red, her face lighting up and a sound like a boiling tea kettle escaping her lungs. Ed slowly rose, staying close, and pecked her on the lips. "I love you," he whispered in her ear, and pulled away to hop on the train just in time.

He waved as it pulled away, until one last wrench for the road beaned him on the head, knocking him back into the train.

Tamaki's awakening was less than pleasant, but he told himself a prince could deal with some small discomforts for the sake of chivalry. His body felt heavy, his heart ached, and he felt like he was viewing the world through a layer of sticky, slowing, syrup.

He was sitting on a hospital bed, though the mattress was comfortably cloud-like as opposed to the mythically hard mattresses he had only heard about in commonor-tales. He was propped up by dozens of fluffy pillows, and his teddy bear was comfortably nestled in in snuggie-clad arms. Shifting slightly, he ended up hitting a button resting just under his left heel, and he heard a patter of feet.

The door burst open, bright light from the hall obscuring all but the shadows of his visitors, and rose petals blew in from an automated system of fans that activated only for certain people.

"Tamaki!" "Senpai!" "Hn." Tamaki's Host Club burst into the room, relieved to see Tamaki whole, and well, and Tamaki smiled at his dearest companions.

"Good morning, everyone!"

So, this is it. The end. And it only took... *checks watch* Oh, shit, 6 years! Damn. That's, like, a solid quarter of my life. But I said I'd finish it, and I have. And even with all it's flaws, and the inadequacies I perceive in my writing, I'm so proud that this is done and out there for people to enjoy. When I started this, I remember just wanting to have more completed FMA and OHSHC crossovers, and promising myself that, come what may (barring literal death), this fic would be completed, and it has been. #LifeGoals I guess lol.

Anyways, thank you to everyone who supported me - every follow, favorite, kudo, comment, and even every hit with no further interaction. To all of you who made it this far, it means the world to me. Sending my love, and virtual cookies! (::) (::) (::)
