Chapter 24 Unexpected deliveries
Tony's point of view
6 months after Pepper returned to my side, I received a letter from the Child Protective Services department of New York.
"Pepper… can you read this?"
"Of course Tony"
"I know I can read, but I am currently failing to understand what's going on here, and I need someone I trust to read this for me and explain it because I'm missing something or my eyes are betraying me…"
"OK Tony, no problem. How about I read it out loud?"
"Sure"
"OK here goes, Dear Mr Stark,
My name is CPS Officer Colette Patterson. I am the social worker representing your case. As I am led to understand it, from the information I have procured you had a relationship with Maya Hansen. She left because she hated your cats and because she was keeping a secret. You have a daughter with her. The child is called Maria-Rose Stark. She is 8 years old, and she is in foster care. "Hey big guy,
It's momma. If you're watching this, I'm no longer around. Your dad is Tony Stark. Richard Parker is your stepfather… he adores you. If anything happened to me, and you're not living with your dad then you're living with the Parkers. My advice is to watch out for May. Sometimes she can be a real tartare.
