I decided to write my own personal ending for John Shepard. I'm not sure if I should add more chapters to this. Maybe I'll come back to it at some point if the Mass Effect 3 extended cut disappoints tomorrow.

Set post-Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC. After Liara's visit, Garrus makes a… fairly significant tactical error. Shepard educates him. Takes place after the events in the Omega-4 relay, since that's... how I played it. Previous FemShep/Liara in ME1. Likewise, this is the same FemShep and Garrus as in previous two fics.

It wasn't something she would have necessarily considered before. Before Cerberus. Before coming back from the dead. Before Reapers and Collectors and a suicide mission that actually might be a suicide mission, this time. Before, Garrus had been Shepard's de facto second in command, and it was never, never a good idea to sleep where you worked. But the rules were different now.
