AN: So, it had been a couple of months, but I am now ready to start my sequel to More Than Just Friends! Even though this first chapter would be based on The New Paranormal episode, for the most part, this story won't be based on the Season 2 episodes in particular and would have its own series of events, unlike the first story. Anyway, I hope you would enjoy this new Mollibby story!

Chapter 1

New Neighbors

It was a bright and sunny summer day in Brighton! As the summer days counted down, it was nearly time for everyone to go back to school, so everyone tried making the most of their last few days of summer.

No one was making the most of their summer more than Molly McGee and her now recent girlfriend, Libby Stein-Torres. Their summer started out amazing when they confessed their love for each other after they spent an entire school year keeping their love a secret.

Both, Molly and Libby had been through a lot to gain the courage to confess their love for each other. They went through a lot of drama and heartache, especially with the Ghost Council trying to separate them. In the end, it was all worth it now that Molly and Libby were finally together.

The two girlfriends decided to have a relaxing day together by sitting down in the backyard, enjoying this wonderful summer day. They both held each other's hand as they reminisced on their first summer as girlfriends.

"It has been an amazing summer hasn't it, Libby?" Molly briefly took her eyes off the sky as she turned to face her girlfriend.

Libby then turned to face Molly and smiled. "Yes, Molly! Being your girlfriend made this the best summer of my life!"

"Aww! You're so sweet, Libby!" Molly smiled before she and Libby kissed each other on the lips.

"It's just too bad that summer is nearly over." Libby let out a disappointed sigh.

As Libby said that, Molly remembered that the two of them would be starting their first year of high school in a few days. Despite how there were only a few days of summer left, Molly knew that there was still time for her and Libby to have fun.

"Hey, why don't we ask Scratch if he can spend the day with us?" Molly suggested. "We can all play instruments together and start our own band if you like!"

"That actually sounds like a lot of fun!" Libby smiled. "Let's go see if Scratch wants to join us!"

At that moment, Molly and Libby walked back in the house as they made their way up to Molly's room. Molly opened the door to the attic as she was ready to tell Scratch about her plans for the day.

"Hey, Scratch! Libby and I were wondering if you would like to hang out with-" Molly paused as she was greeted with an unexpected sight.

It turned out that Scratch wasn't the only one in Molly's room. Both, Molly and Libby were surprised to see that Scratch was with four other all too familiar ghosts.

"Aah! It's the Ghost Council!" Libby screamed before backing away in fear.

"They are back for revenge after we killed the Chairman!" Molly started to panic as well.

"Whoa! Relax!" Scratch tried to calm Molly and Libby down. "They are not here to cause any trouble.

"It is true!" Sir Alister spoke up. "We wish to make amends with you."

Surprised by this unexpected turn of events, Molly and Libby shared a couple of shocked looks with each other.

"Y-You really mean it?" Libby asked.

"Indeed." Grimbella was the next to speak. "We wish to apologize for all the trouble we caused you and hope to make amends."

"That's actually really nice of you! I never thought we'd be friends with you guys!" Molly paused as a thought occurred to her. "What about Jinx? Is she sorry for what she had done too?"

"I'm afraid not." Lucretia replied. "After you two destroyed the Chairman, I believe she said something along the lines of wanting revenge on you for destroying the one true Chairman."

Somehow, Molly wasn't too surprised by this. As kind and friendly as she is to everyone, Molly doesn't think she could ever be friends with Jinx anyway, especially after how she killed Libby and dragged her spirit to the Ghost World.

"Alright, listen. Knowing Molly, she would accept your offer of friendship. If you guys are going to be our friends, you all need to have names." said Scratch.

Offended by what Scratch said, Sir Alister replied, "We have names!"

"Wait, have you been referring to us as just, 'The Ghost Council' this whole time?" Lucretia asked, annoyed with Scratch.

With a nervous chuckle, Scratch awkwardly looked away, much to the Ghost Council's annoyance. It was at that moment when the Ghost Council decided to properly introduce themselves to Molly and Libby.

"I am Sir Alister."

"Lucretia."

"Bartholomew."

"And I am Grimbella." Grimbella introduced, causing Molly and her friends to stare at her in confusion. "It's a family name."

"Well, it's nice to officially meet all of you!" Molly smiled.

"And you as well, Molly!" Sir Alister replied. "However, this isn't the only reason why we are here. You see, with the Chairman gone, we need a replacement. We need someone else who can rule over the Ghost World."

The rest of the Ghost Council soon revealed that they were holding the Chairman's cloak. Seeing it again gave Molly and Libby chills. After what they went through in the Ghost World, they hoped they would never see anything relating to the Chairman again.

"Okay! I see what is going on here!" Scratch floated over to the Ghost Council, assuming that they want him to be the new Chairman. "While I am honored, there is no way I would take the position and have all these boring responsibilities."

"We're not talking about you!" Bartholomew yelled. "Why would we ever hand over the responsibilities of a job as important as the Chairman to an irresponsible ghost like you?"

"We decided that someone else is more deserving to be the Chairman." Lucretia explained. "Or should we say, Chairwoman."

The four ghosts soon floated over towards Molly before handing her the Chairman's cloak. This surprised Molly. She couldn't believe that the Ghost Council trusted her to rule over the entire Ghost World.

"M-Me?" Molly stuttered. "I don't understand. I'm not even a ghost."

"No, but you have briefly became a wraith when you entered the Ghost World." Sir Alister explained. "You were the one who stood up to the Chairman before you destroyed him. Put on his cloak, and you are able to revert back to your wraith form."

A look of hesitation briefly appeared on Molly's face before she gathered the courage to put on the cloak. Once she put on the cloak, she felt her body become transparent once again.

"Molly! You're in your wraith form again!" Libby explained, surprised by what she was looking at.

"Sweet baby corn! Libby, you're right!" Molly exclaimed, happy to see herself in her wraith form once again.

"I still don't understand. I thought you would have been big and intimidating like the previous Chairman." Libby pointed out.

"Unfortunately, Molly had only been a wraith for a short time." Grimbella explained. "She is going to need some time before she is able to fully use the Chairman's powers."

Molly merely shrugged her shoulders in response. "Oh well! I kind of liked my regular wraith form anyway! Wheee!"

Molly cheered as she flew around the room in excitement. This went on until Molly heard her mom's voice from downstairs.

"Molly. Scratch. Libby. Can you please come downstairs for a minute. You might want to see this." Sharon called out from downstairs.

Curious with what her mom wanted, Molly took off the cloak, reverting her back to her human form. She then handed the cloak back to the Ghost Council.

"Listen, I appreciate the offer, but I need some time to think about being the new Chairwoman." Molly explained. "I'll get back with you guys after I see what my mom wants."

With that, Molly, Libby, and Scratch made their way downstairs. As she walked downstairs with her friends, Molly tried to process what the Ghost Council asked of her. The idea of ruling over the Ghost World was intimidating to her, but she would worry about it later.

Once Molly, Libby, and Scratch reached the bottom of the stairs, they found Pete, Sharon, and Darryl looking out a window.

"Hey, what's going on?" Molly asked, curious.

"Molly, it seems that there is a moving truck outside." Pete explained.

"Yeah. It looks like we are getting some new neighbors." Darryl added.

In response, Molly let out an excited gasp. "Moving truck? Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" Molly looked out the window as well to see that there was a new family moving into the neighborhood. "There's a new family moving in!"

"How wonderful! We should go meet them!" Sharon said as she and the rest of her family stepped outside.

"Come on Libby! Let's go meet out new neighbors!" Molly grabbed Libby's hand as she stepped out the house as well.

Meanwhile, the new family who just moved in began taking boxes out the delivery truck as they started to settle in. They nearly got all of the boxes out when a sound of a whistle caught their attention. Surprised by this, the new family turned to see Libby, along with the McGees as they all burst into song.

"Welcome our new neighbors to our neighborhood! We brought you lots of goodies just like a neighbor should! Hey!"

They all sang in perfect sync, except for Libby since Molly only taught her the lyrics just a few seconds ago. As the song came to an end, Pete stepped forward to introduce himself to the family.

"Pete McGee! City planner and unofficial welcome wagoneer. This is my wife Sharon, and our kids Molly and Darryl!"

"Great to meet you! We're the Chens!" The father of the family introduced. "Ruben, Ester, Oliver, and Juniper!"

"I prefer June." The daughter of the family explained.

At that moment Molly approached the Chens before she handed each of them a turnip.

"As a token of our friendship, we McGees present the traditional Brighton turnip!"

June then sniffed the turnip before she gagged from how bad it smelled. "They smell like boiled toenails!"

"June, honey. Remember what we said when we receive a gift?" Ester whispered to her daughter.

"Oh, right. Thank you for the gift. How kind of you to think of us. I'm autistic and I guess not everyone can handle my unbridled truth." June explained.

"Honesty is the best policy!" Molly replied.

As he took notice of Darryl, Ruben realized that his daughter might be in the same school as Darryl. This could be a good opportunity for June to make a new friend.

"Hey, June! Looks like Darryl's about your age!" Ruben pointed out. "You'll have a built in friend at school!"

June took one look at Darryl before she gave him an awkward wave.

"Um, hi!"

Darryl waved back. "Hey! So, have you ever got sent to the principle's office before?"

June shook her head. "No, but a lot of my gadgets do get confiscated."

Hearing this got Darryl intrigued. "Tell me more about these gadgets!"

June couldn't help but smile since no one from her previous school was ever interested in the gadgets she invented.

"Sure! There is this one gadget that you might think is pretty cool!"

While Darryl and June started to hang out together, Molly and Libby brought their attention to the son of the family. He was a 14 year old boy, with dark-brown hair and wore a blue jacket over his white shirt, along with a pair of light gray jeans. The boy kept his attention on a couple of pamphlets as he read about his new home.

"City council meeting schedule? Bandshell concert line up? 101 ways to get involved in your community? Yes! Whoever wrote these pamphlets really gets me!" The boy exclaimed.

"Oh, that would be me!" Molly stepped forward. "You can tell that because I used my favorite echo-friendly stickers! Taking care of the environment is important after all!"

"Really? I feel the same way!" The boy replied.

The more Molly talked with the boy the more she realized that she is not so different from him. They both like to help others and made the world a better place. As Molly continued to talk with the boy, Libby started to glare at him. She didn't know who this boy was, but she started to hate how her girlfriend was interacting with him. She didn't know what was so great about him and wished he would stop swooping his hair every five seconds. Scratch soon noticed Libby's expression and couldn't help but let out an amused chuckle seeing Libby this jealous.

"Oh, sorry! We've been talking so much, I didn't properly introduce myself! My name is Oliver, but you can call me Ollie!"

"It's nice to meet you, Ollie! I'm Molly!" Molly introduced.

Letting her jealousy get the better of her, Libby immediately held Molly's hand. "And I'm Libby, MOLLY'S GIRLFRIEND!"

Seeing Libby acting this hostile towards him made Ollie feel slightly awkward about the whole situation. He didn't let it bother him too much as he decided to get back to moving his belongings in the house.

"Well, it was nice meeting you two! I'd better get back helping my family unpack everything." Ollie grabbed onto another box, but was struggling to pick it up.

"Here, let me help you!" Molly offered as she picked up the box as well.

"Thanks, Molly!" Ollie thanked with a grateful smile.

All Libby could do was watch as Molly was helping out Ollie. She looked to her side and was annoyed to see Scratch staring at her with a smug grin.

"Uh, what?" Libby raised a confused eyebrow.

"You're jealous that Molly is spending time with that boy, aren't you?"

"J-Jealous?" Libby stuttered. "Wh-Why would I be jealous? I am perfectly fine! I'm not bothered by the fact that Molly somehow has more in common with Ollie than she ever did with me!"

Once she was done helping out Ollie, Molly decided to meet up with her friends once more.

"I'm starting to like the Chens so far! They are all really friendly!" Molly soon noticed Libby looking worried about something. "Libby, are you okay?" Molly asked, concerned for her girlfriend.

"You're not going to believe this, Molly! Libby is scared that you might leave her for swoopy hair over there!" Scratch laughed.

"Scratch!" Libby yelled, annoyed with her ghost friend.

Surprised by what she heard, Molly approached her girlfriend and asked, "Libby is that true?"

With a defeated sigh, Libby replied, "Maybe a little. It's just that you and Ollie have only just met and you two already have a lot in common. He even has your own version of your word, enhappify and wants to engoodify everything. What if you really do end up choosing him over me?"

At that moment, Molly got so close to Libby to the point where both their eyes met.

"Libby Stein-Torres, I will never ever do anything like that to you! After everything that we have been through together, do you really think I would leave you for some random boy I just met? Our relationship is really special to me, and I would never give it up for anything!" Molly assured before she kissed Libby on the lips.

Feeling reassured, Libby replied. "You're right, Molly. I'm sorry I got jealous. It's just that being in a relationship is so new to me. We have something special that I don't want to lose."

"Hey, it's okay! This is new to me too, but I'm sure we'll be able to figure it out together! Listen, Ollie is great and everything, but I really don't like boys that way, and no offense to Ollie, but he looks as though he could be my cousin!" Molly joked, earning a giggle from Libby.

"Okay! I see your point!" Libby smiled. "I'm glad to have a wonderful girlfriend like you!"

"I feel the same about you, Libby! Now, come on! Let's go get to know our new neighbors better!" Molly said before she met up with her family so they can all interact with the Chens some more.

After Molly left, Libby silently thought about the new neighbors. She didn't know why, but there was something about the Chens that seemed off to her. She just couldn't put her finger on it. Curious with who the Chens really were, Libby decided to put on her Bloodhound of Truth attire and do some investigating.
