Best I Will Ever

"Can I watch you practice?" Seiso's resident iceberg already expected it from his girlfriend and who was he to deny such adorable request.

Wearing his rare smile, he doesn't have the heart to decline the lady that makes his day complete, "I'll be practicing at home. Would you like to come?" he offered and his girlfriend hugged him, excited she gets to watch him play another instrument than his beloved violin.

"Nee~ Len-kun... Is that actually yours?" staring at the expensive looking guitar.

With a nod and hum, "Yes, a present from my uncle years ago." Kahoko's eyes sparkled hearing her boyfriend's stories about his uncle.

Len sounded annoyed and let out a sigh, "We better clean up before the bell rings." Kahoko as well pouted, a little disappointed that lunch was just an hour. "I'll fetch you from your class later." Len gave her forehead a kiss.

Seiso's sweetheart never expected that the cold hearted violinist was actually sweet and affectionate as a lover, with a happy hum from her, she picked up her violin case, but Len took it instead and carried it for her while offering his arm.

Students tend to stare at awe as the couple graced the hallway with their presence, especially in such intimate hold.

Len as usual dropped off his lady to her classroom and Kahoko would sheepishly reward him with a kiss. It seems their display never gets old and her female classmates grew louder with their shrieks, the boys on the other hand just teases the hell out of the male violinist.

"Gosh, no one can beat the number-one couple in campus~" sang by the school's favorite gossip mongler as she kept snapping pictures of the couple's-goodbye-for-now-kiss.

Len as usual would glare at her, "Don't worry, I'll send you Kaho-chan's pictures~" she mischievously smirked.

That pleased the young man and nodded, Kahoko pouted at him in response. Len gave a shrug and gave her forehead another kiss, "I'll pick you up, after class." he whispered and left.

"Whew! Who knew that the iceberg would be that romantic?" Nao, one of Kahoko's best friends whistled.

Mio on the other hand grinned, "The question is, do you guys have a date later? It seems Mr. Prodigy is quite eager to get you later?"

Kahoko blushed, "Len-kun and I are just heading to his house later, I wanted to watch him practice."

The girls exchanged looks and flashed her a knowing and teasing looks, "Just watch him practice?" Kahoko was flustered with their jab.

Amou, the journalist raised one of her eyebrows, "You guys often practice here after school, what's new and you guys have to be in his home?" Amou had a playful look, "Are you sure you're just going to watch?" she pressed.

Kahoko getting what she meant, the poor lady flushed redder from head to toe, "I mean we're at that age where we play around with our boyfriends~" Mio laughed.

Kahoko continued to pout, "Mou! I'm just going to watch him practice the guitar!" stomping her leg like a child.

Her friends laughed and assured they were playing with her, "Im just amazed he can play the electric guitar really well!" her eyes sparkled remembering Len giving a bit of demos earlier.

Amou crossed her leg, "Now that I thought about it, Chairman Kira requested the boys to play as a band for the Cultural festival right?" And Kahoko nodded. Amou then decided to cover the band in her internet articles.

Later after class. As promised, Len came and picked up Kahoko, however this time He had his other arm free from holding the guitar case and instead strapped on his back so he can hold his girlfriend's hand.

Plenty of female students especially Len's fans were silently weeping as they watch the young man affectionately kiss his girlfriend's knuckles and walk away hand-in-hand.

Once they arrived home, the Tsukimori family's retainer greeted the couple with a bright smile and took their bags. Len as usual would pull Kahoko to his room for some needed cuddles after a long week. Kahoko graced him with her warm hugs and kisses right after shaking off their uniform jackets, "I thought you're going to practice?" She teased and Len frowned.

The young man huffed, "I just got you and you're pushing me to practice?" Kahoko heartily giggled at his reaction and kissed his nose.

Playfully squeezing his face between her palms and giving his lips a little peck, "I'm kidding, you can practice later, I just got to cuddle you too." And they ended up watching a single episode of the series they liked while scooted closer in bed.

Len was able to practice after dinner, Kahoko dressed in matching pajamas as Len except she was wearing a thin mini shorts. Tightly hugging Len's pillow, she listened to Len play the acoustic guitar, she wasn't expecting that her boyfriend can actually sing. Oblivious, little did they know someone sneaked and snapped a quick picture.

"Say, is your uncle the same as Mama-chan and Papa-san?" Kahoko asked, Len stopped playing and carefully stored away his instrument.

Shaking his head, "No, Hibiki oji-sama is not the same as mother and father. He's more like in the modern side of music. He is with a popular band until now and travel often for tours." Kahoko sounded amazed, Len chuckled and showed his uncle's pictures from online.

Kahoko's jaw dropped, "Wait, that's Echo!" she gasped and turned to her boyfriend dumbfounded. Now that Kahoko noticed, the man in the picture looked identical to Len, except the older man had gray streaks of hair om the side and full well kept beard; if Len cut his hair shorter and style it into one-sided-pompadour they'd be twins. Kahoko was lost imagining an older Len with such looks, she internally squealed.

Len wasn't pleased that Kahoko liked her uncle, "Oi." he poked her side and pulled her for a hug.

Kahoko blushed shaking off her thoughts of 'older and hotter Len,' her boyfriend who wasn't happy kept on glaring, "Oh, stop it... I was just imagining an older you." the poor girl was steaming from embarrassment admitting she was thinking about her man in such way.

Len had a playful smirk and kissed her neck, "Oh really?" Len looked up to his uncle but to the point he'll have to grow the same beard and hairstyle as him is another thing, since Kahoko imagined him to look like his uncle once he age.

"I mean, I now know what you'll look like when we get to that age." Kahoko assured and Len chuckled.

"Well, I'll make sure to be in shape to gain your favor." He stated and his girlfriend pouted.

"Even if you don't, I'll still like and love you." Len was touched with her words and sweetly kissed her.

"And I love you too." Pulling her down to sleep.

The next morning, when the couple headed down to eat for breakfast, they were bombarded with the presence of their friends in their dining. Amou with a wide mischievous grin staring at her bestfriend and certain ice prince in a matching night wear.

"Good morning dearies! I invited your friends today so you can practice!" Hamai Misa announced, "And besides, after I told Hibiki-kun that you will play with a band he was thrilled! He asked me if I can record you and your band mates practicing!"

Len's eyes kept twitching in irritation while poor Kahoko hid behind him. The concourse boys were standing frozen at the sight of their crush being intimate with their rival, "I know you guys are stuck to the hip at school, but knowing that my best friend sleeps and matches with Tsukimori-san is another level." Amou finally spoke.

Poor Kahoko prayed that she be swallowed by the floor from embarrassment, "Stop standing there and have some breakfast!" Hamai broke the awkward situation and allowed the teens to eat, "Once you're done, go and change. Ryou-kun and the others are waiting." The couple ate quickly and made an exit.

But while they were gone, Amou took her time gossiping and asking more information from Misa who gladly shared plenty. "Hamai-san, if I may?" Azuma finally asked.

"What is it dear?" The nice lady accomodated.

He respectfully asked, "Who is Hibiki-san?"

Hamai with a bright smile, "It's my darling Jun's twin brother! Len's uncle!" And she excitedly pulled out albums of little Len with his favorite uncle, "He's the one who gave Lenny his first guitar."

The boys and Amou's eyes were wide to know that the man is actually the famous lead guitarist and vocal from a famous foreign band, "Echo?" Amou squealed and started complimenting how fine the older man is. "Gosh, are you sure he's already forty-eight?" Amou squealed, "I mean look at those specs!" Showing her own pictures from online to Misa.

"Well, he lives in Okinawa and often works out by the beach~ Gosh." Misa sighed dreamily.

Amou joked. The poor boys were lost and felt awkward with all the girl talk. "Don't let Mr. Tsukimori hear you say that~" Mio commented. Finally, Len and Kahoko appeared and they started to set up and did some practice.

Hamai and Amou teamed up to record the boys while Kahoko helped here and there. Of course she was to take plenty of good shots of Len.

Len's mother, instead of recording the same as Amou, she was actually on a live video call with her brother-in-law, the man sat in pride watching his nephew adapt his style-playing the guitar.

After a few weeks of practice, it was finally Seiso's Cultural Festival.

The boys were all prepared, it was nothing special and just came out wearing their usual uniforms. Len just warming up with some few strums but his attention is occupied by his girlfriend. His eyes scanned the crowd and finally found her in front doing her best to cheer on him.

Starting their playlist with the trendy popular song got the audience warmed up on cheers and shrieks and Len was rocking the solos and rifts gaining him more admirers from other schools.

The squeals got louder when Len got off the stage and approched Kahoko for his solo and the chosen song seemed to be an open serenade.

It was hilarious when one girl beside Kahoko fainted from all the screaming seeing how sweet the couple. After the song was done, Kahoko rewarded Len with a sweet kiss which caused the crowd to riot.

When they were done and the next performers were already preparing, "Damn, your nephew got some of those razzle dazzle, fam." A familiar man laughed elbowing a famous vocals and lead guitarist.

"He's a Tsukimori, what do you expect?" he laughed, "And congrats, kid! From both playing on stage with those and a gildfriend." he teased.

Len with a cocky smirk, "Thanks, Jii..." Surprising everyone with their fancy handshake. "And this is Hino Kahoko, my significant other." He introduced and his girlfriend blushed.

"Nice to meet you, sir." she sheepishly took the older man's hand.

With a heartily laugh, "Call me uncle from now on. You're my favorite nephew's girl, of course you're family!" he gently patted her.

Noticing that the other performers are having trouble and their drummer is still missing, "Hey, kid why dont we jam at least one song to buy them some time?" Len didn't complain since he wanted to show off a bit more for his girlfriend.

Meanwhile the School Director is fanboying over Len's uncle. Everyone who's familiar and a fan of Echo was already in chaos over the crowd. Len and his uncle huddled and whispered close over the stage with their guitars on, while Hibiki's bandmate took the drums.

They both gave a cool nod and Len started the intro, "I know everyone knows this song, but for those that don't, its called Best I will Ever. My nephew chose this one." Hibiki then winked to Kahoko who blushed.

Len flashed his rare smile at her and followed his uncle's cues, the song kind of those island rock, suddenly Hibiki pushed his nephew to sing, while Len was leading the interlude.

They paused for a bit and then Len strummed successively, "I kind of liked what you said." The Seiso girls this time were going wild, "The kisses that you give... Is the best I will ever have-" Kahoko by this this time bit her lower lip while hugging Len's coat, tie and waistcoat, len on the other hand maintained his eye contact with her.

Amou and her friends were having a field day taking pictures of Kahoko's reaction. Len's uncle on the other hand grew amused at his nephew's sudden appeal to the girl and ignoring the rabid teen ladies that had been in chaos.

Once their song finished, "I guess that song was made for you, kid." Hibiki laughed.

"I told you, fam... That razzle dazzle really runs in your family." the drummer commented. Len oblivious at his uncle's teasing just rushed to hand his precious guitar to his uncle to meet Kahoko who's equally eager. "Young love..." shaking his head.

"And here's my nephew having a girl before me." Hibiki joked and Hamai with Jun appearing to tease her brother-in-law.

Len being sweaty, Kahoko fussed over him ignoring Amou and her friends'jokes and teasing, "Let's get you changed!" concerned.

Holding each other's hand they walked down to the changinh rooms and Kahoko as usual would help him after a good towel wipe.

With fresh new shirt and uniform, they walked around stalls, and because they're part of the 'School's Wonders' as the violin romace couple, some of the students would point at them as part of the 'School's Attractions.'

Used to the treatment, they just ignored it and spent the day together. Meeting his family by a café, "By the way, kid. I'll leave you my place in the summer. Go take your girl there." Hibiki winked and this made Len smirk.

Poor Kahokonwas confused but when Hamai commented, "But be responsible okay? But then again, I want to meet my first grandbaby." Kahoko finally realized and grew flustered at the teasing.

Of course, as what Kahoko's bestfriend said about playing around with their boyfriends, Kahoko had her fair share with Len in both his or her house when their parents are not around, and considering they get to be alone in a house all summer, she was actually thrilled.

With the adults excusing themselves, Len and Kahoko was left to each other's company, "You were great up there." she complimented.

"Is thay only it?" Len asking more.

Kahoko then whispered, "Well, you were cool too... but I now prefer if you only sing for me." biting her lip.

Len chuckled, "Granted." Kissing her knuckles.

Meanwhile, "I need a girlfriend." Hihara cried while the other concourse boys watched the scene.

The OC: Hibiki Tsukimori is actually heavily inspired by the front man and vocalist Franco PH (A band in Philippines and one of my favorite.) as well as the song Best I will Ever (The song is also heavily inspired by Best I Ever) I kind of changed a bit of it.
