Chapter 1: Unprepared
Jiro came home from school, opening the door. "Yo, I'm home!" Jiro said. "You stayed after school a little later than usual." replied Ichiro. "Did something happen?" "Oh you know Jiro, Nii-chan, that dumbass is the most popular in his school for some reason." Saburo retorted. Ichiro nudged him. "ow!" "Quit it!" Ichiro scolded.
"Hahahahaha very funny little bro." Jiro laughed sarcastically. "Anyways I got us these." Jiro said as he showed three tickets to his brothers. "Hm? Band Tickets?" The two thought. "where'd ya manage to get those?" Ichiro wondered. "Yeah I got 'em from a friend, he won them from some contest, but he didn't want them so he asked me to pawn them off him so now here we are. I don't know who these guys are but they seem pretty cool." Ichiro examined the tickets closely. "ArgoξOrchestra…" "What kind of music do they play?" Saburo asked. "I dunno actually. I've never listened to them so I probably missed out on something, plus I haven't seen them play here, but I think they're like a Visual Kei band." Jiro said. "Sounds corny. It's basically just the goth version of Japanese Rock. Why would anyone see some guys dressed like vampires in a band?" Saburo said, complaining. "Say what you will, Saburo, but one day you'll learn to appreciate music as an art medium when you're older." Jiro snapped back.
"Quit being a Smartass! You just said you never listened to them!" Saburo said rolling his eyes.
Ichiro bonked both of his brothers on the head.
"OW! Nii-Chan, that hurt~" Jiro said.
"Yeah-" Saburo replied.
"Stop it, you two. Also, this might be good opportunity to bond as brothers. Can't let these tickets go to waste!" Ichiro said cheerfully. The other two brothers glance at each each other, then nodded in agreement. "Yes Ichi-nii!" They both said in agreement. "Ok so this says here the concert be held this friday, but we need to see if they'll be on other days. Saburo do you mind looking up the times and the band?" Ichiro asked.
In Saburo's room, they looked up the concert dates along with ArgoξOrchestra on the band's website. "Hm, well they'll be holding concerts in a few of Ikebukuro's venues, but there's no pictures of any band members oddly enough." Saburo observed. "From the sound of the first one they seem pretty popular. You'd think from the fact that there's no pictures of the members, they're an underground band." Ichiro replied. Even the photo section in the search engine website didn't show any pictures of the members. Weird. "Well when we have time, We'll go to the concert this friday. There's enough tickets for all of us. Again it'll be a chance for us to bond." Ichiro said. "You ever listened to Visual Kei before, Nii-Chan?" Jiro asked the eldest brother. "Hm, not sure. I think I maybe came across it once or twice, probably in an Anime opening or something." "Um, I think this friday will be the last day they'll be playing and it'll be in Ikebukuro Chop." Saburo said, looking at the concert dates. "Hmm, well not much is happening on friday, so it's settled!" Ichiro announced.
"Yeah!" The three brothers said in unison.
A few days later
"I've heard this place has some cool shops! Maybe we could stop at one of them after our show." Jyushi beamed. "I don't know if we'll have enough time. Plus it's our last show here." One of Jyushi's band members said. "Oh right. I'm sorry." the goth apologized. He's heard about the cool shops and cafes at Ikebukuro, and has been wanting to go since it was mentioned that his band was touring there, specifically those anime stores and cafes, but mainly its cool theater stages. "Their concert venues have a nice aesthetic though." Jyushi added, trying to lighten up the mood. "We'll probably stop at some mall if that's what you want, Jyushi." another of his Band members said. "I-it's fine, I'm okay." but the young man felt bit nervous, maybe a bit tense, like he had a...feeling. Not bad or good, but he was having mixed emotions of what will happen at tonight's concert…
Ikebukuro Chop Ticket Booth
"Hi um, we're here to see ArgoξOrchestra. It's me and my brother's first time going to their concert snd we just got these random tickets to their concert tour here a few days ago. Hopefully my brothers here. won't be too much trouble, but I'm sure they'll behave, honest!" Ichiro said to the ticket manager as held out the tickets out. "Oh well, I hope it won't be too loud for the kiddos here!" the manager teased.
"The fuck?" "Hey!" Jiro and Saburo complained.
"Oi! Listen here! I'm one year away from bein' an adult here!" Jiro added.
BONK!
"OW!" The younger brothers said as their eldest brother bonked them on the head, again. "Now, promise me you too will behave yourselves and act like brothers. Got it?" Ichiro instructed the two. "Yessir…" the other two said, as if they were two kids being scolded by a parent. "Ok, it seems like you three are just at the front row. Right this way!" the ticket manager said. "Thanks." Ichiro said. "Hopefully it's not gonna be crowded…" Jiro sighed as the brothers began walking to their seats.
"Yeah, about that, Jiro." Saburo said, as they opened the doors. The place was jam packed and filled to the brim with what appeared to be people dressed in goth and punk attire. "Oh right, I didn't think they were THIS popular but damn!" Saburo nudged the middle brother slightly. "Yeah no shit! How'd you manage to figure that out?" Saburo said sarcastically. "If anything we clearly aren't the target audience." the youngest brother added. "Ok...we should be at the front which is right over there." Ichiro said, pointing out to the place near the mosh pit. "'Scuse me, coming through, Ah! Sorry!" the eldest said as he slightly hurried his way through the crowd. "Ok, here we go. We should have a good view from here."
"Hopefully the band won't play too loud for you, little guy~" some random audience member with piercings and makeup next to Saburo said. "Excuse me?!" The youngest brother said, taking offense to that. "Yo! for your information, the little guy's old enough to see his first concert!" Jiro said, backing up for his younger brother and defending him. "Yeah!"Saburo added. "Oh I'm sorry, I just usually don't see elementary schoolers come to these kinds of concerts!" the goth laughed. "Elementary schooler? I'll have you know I'm 14!" Saburo said, annoyed. "Oi! You too, it's starting!" Ichiro whispered to his brothers as the lights started to dim.
Backstage
"Is everyone all ready?" Jyushi asked his band members, feeling confident.
"Aight, let's go!"
"Yeah!"
"You guys are on in two minutes!" The stage manager shouted. "O-ok we'll be right there!" Jyushi replied. He briefly did some warm ups with his Chunibyou character so he should be ok for now. The band began to prepare themselves for tonight.
Audience
The atmosphere began to change as smoke began to surround the stage, with gothic dark violet and indigo toned lights embelishing it. The usual organ that plays in the beginning of almost every visual kei song to top it all off, even though it was only an intoduction. "Heh, nice. Kinda reminds me of the beginning of this manga with vampires. Barely any good ones with that kinda stuff tho. I'm exited to see how this'll go." Ichiro said.
As the band was still in the smoke, Jyushi took a deep breath and prepared himself.
"Crows and Ravens of the Night,
On this near full moon, we are here for your entertainment!"
The crowd was cheering at the band's introduction. "That was pretty cringe if I'm being honest." Saburo scoffed. "The show hasn't even started yet, whaddya mean?" Jiro said. "Quiet!" Ichiro said, shushing his brothers.
"Tonight, we will hypnotize you with our haunting melodies on this very night!
We shall bring you music from the brisk air of this darkest night!
As ArgoξOrchestra!"
"Alright, here we go! Lay it on me!" Ichiro said. He didn't have much high hopes, but he was still pumped up and saw they had some potential in his opinion.
The smoke was fading away, revealing the band members of ArgoξOrchestra, but mainly Jyushi doing his usual dramatic unveiling.
Ichiro's smile and exitement slowly faded, turning into confusion as the lead singer slowly unveiled himself from the shadows and onto the stage. For some reason he looked...familar. Long, Raven black hair with blonde streaks, and a fancy looking grey and gold jacket.
"Huh?"
The Goth singer slowly opened his bright blue eyes to his audience, it was still a bit blurry from the smoke, but he was quickly shocked to see a familiar face he'd probably least expect to see his concert. He didn't know for sure, but he looked awfully familiar. Heterochromia, a mole under one of the eyes, Jet black hair, Red attire. Surely it couldn't be who he thought it was, right?
The smoke cleared, but neither of them could believe the other could see each other again so suddenly, and across such a large crowd too.
Nothing could have prepared either of them for this very moment.
Is that...?
