Naruto woke up the day after he had to fight Mitsuki, the day that he was tricked into stealing the forbidden scroll, under the lie that it was a special test, only to find out the truth from Iruka, later he fought Mitsuki using a skill he just learned from the scroll, to make four hundred shadow clones, who proceeded to beat Mitsuki's head in.
After all that and all the exhaustion that came from it, he collapsed on the ground, but Iruka was happy to hear that it was just chakra exhaustion, nothing out of the ordinary considering according to him, the boy produced four hundred shadow clones, no matter how large his chakra capacity is, creating a single shadow clone was extremely costly, and thus the doctor was not surprised at all at the level of how exhausted Naruto was.
He began to dream about extremely weird things, things that seemed like he was watching a fictional movie about his own life, about the history of their world, about skills and knowledge he had never seen or heard about before, the bitterness of those memories was practically something he could taste, she sheer anger and hatred of the village, blaming him for things he never had anything to do with, calling him a monster, a demon, thousands of reasons why he should want the village and the entire world to just fucking burn to ashes, but he stood against all that, achieved his dream, happily married, the dream continued until he died tragically trying to save two boys, one his son, and the other a boy he adopted.
Little did he know that all the knowledge and muscle memory of those skills was slowly being written into his mind, wanted to test if this was either a dream, a bad case of food poisoning, or something like a vision, so he closed his eyes and sat on top of the hospital bed in an attempt to meditate. Much like in his dream, he was in the smelly place once again, the pipes on the walls, with this rotten-smelling liquid flowing into the floor of the place, if his dream was true if he kept walking in the direction he was going to, he would eventually arrive at a massive gate.
It felt like he walked for nearly an hour, but he finally made it to the gate, the word seal was written on a piece of paper stuck to the massive rusted gates. It looked like it was keeping the doors of a massive rusted cage shut, as he walked near it, he looked for someone that he saw in his dream, and all he could see was a massive creature with fur that screamed that it was not human at all.
"So it took my container this long to come and pay me a visit, much faster than the previous ones at least this kit is not as pathetic as I once thought he was." The creature glared at Naruto trying his best to be as intimidating as possible, his eyes looking at him menacingly, but in truth thanks to the dream it was more funny than anything else, he literally had to put a stop to this before he ended up falling down and laughing and the water on the floor was not that pleasant to smell, much less take a dip in.
"Will you knock it off, I know who you are, and I know you had no fucking fault in the attack on the village, a person using the Sharingan made you do it, probably that masked asshole, so come on, you are as intimidating as a kitten, but you will not trust me without some proof of what I said is true, so here goes, before me, your container was my mother, and before her it was her mother a woman named Mito who was the wife of the first Hokage, and your name is Kurama, so knock it off brother, we got shit we need to do, and not enough time to waste like this."
He grabs the bars and looks at the fox still ignoring him, "Did Father really place so much hope on one of my brothers who is simply going to sit there and ignore me, cause he doesn't like the things he is listening, come on Kurama, it's me, Ashura, at least getup and come over here and talk to me, I came through all this mock to see you."
That is when the fox moves closer to the bars as a claw is placed against the bar and a loud sigh is heard, "You got a lot of nerve claiming to be Ashura, but you got several things wrong, I have not given up but what can I do when I am trapped inside people that either use me for my chakra, or treat me as a tool, not one of my containers ever bothered talking to me, you are the first, and last but not least, I am female, so I would be your sister, not your brother, never crossed your mind that the reason I was didn't bother looking at you because I was embarrassed?"
Naruto placed his hand on the paw that was on the bar and told Kurama he meant her no harm, She relaxed and stopped moving her paw away, "Fine, I will listen to you, but why did you come here, more than likely demand that I give you my chakra like so many others had done, but if you expect me to believe you are my big brother Ashura, then tell me something about his family nobody knows. For all I know you are just another human trying to trick and use me, like others have done."
He began to think and told her about how much he loved his brother Indra, but it was the entire succession decision that drove them apart, They both dealt with the problem in different ways, one dealt with it with strength in numbers, to deal what they saw as enemies, but he chose to instead talk with all of them and get them to cooperate, sadly this did not end well, and caused a feud that lasted generations, something he wished could have been avoided.
"Indra was manipulated by a parasite, created from the sheer anger and hate of our grandmother, Kaguya, and he is the one that wants to keep the cycle of hatred going, once my father Haguromo told you, that one day a person would come, one that wants for the happiness of all his children which includes all nine of you, well you do not need to wait any longer, for I am here. However the threat of the Otsutsuki is still coming our way, and in this case sister, I need your help in becoming stronger, or we are all doomed. You have been hurt in the past, and you have a right not to trust me, but sister, I am in desperate need of your aid, Please I ask, if not beg you to help me. I wish I could open this thing, but sadly I do not possess the key to open this gate, that is something only the person who made the seal possesses, and he was my father and is long dead."
She began to think for a bit and decided to test how honest he was, and told him that it was technically not true, there was something she could do, and it was in his power to trust her, and if Naruto did as she told him, more of her energy may be available to him, making it easier to treat his injuries and making it possible for him to do more than he currently can do. Naruto asked what he needed to do but he would only do this if it was no danger to her, She laughed and simply told him to grab hold of the piece of paper that was stuck on the gate and tear it up, this would allow him to access her chakra and she could access his chakra and body in return, no danger of harming her at all, but there was a danger of her trying to gain control of his body and claim it for her own, now was he willing to risk that? Did he truly trust her that much?
Without another word he grabbed the paper seal and was ready to tear it apart, showing he trusted Kurama and this caused her to become surprised and happy to see that Naruto actually trusted her, something no other container ever did. As he was about to tear it apart however something came out of the seal and formed an exact copy of what his father Minato would look like, he placed his hands on the seal and took it away, "No Naruto, you must not destroy the seal, this seal was placed to protect you, you must not do something so rash and foolish, do not let the fox manipulate your emotions. Never forget that this fox attacked our village, and is responsible for the death of not just me but also your mother."
Naruto looked at him and began to shake his head, almost feeling like a father scolding a disobedient child, "Father that is not the case at all, and don't call her that, her name is Kurama, she is as much of a victim and everyone that was harmed the day I was born, the only person to blame is an idiot named Obito, and sadly he is still very much alive."
Minato was shocked to hear him say this, and had one question for Naruto, How in the world does he know this or any of this? Naruto explained how one of the instructors of the Ninja Academy planned to betray Konoha, and how he ended up having to beat that person up, which led him to be sent to a hospital, where when he was asleep he had all this strange dream, the dream showed him everything he knows, all the knowledge he came to acquire, his new skills he still needs to master to be able to use, and how he could meet his best friend Kurama, cause if he ever needed the help of a friend, Kurama was his most trusted friend.
"Except most things didn't happen the way I expected, the place is as bleak as I saw, true, but to think Kurama was a vixen was not one of them, In the dream Kurama was a fox, and quite proud of this, I also happen to know who is the current Jinchuriki of the other tailed beasts, most are rather nice, one currently is a bit off, but you can't really blame him, he has not been able to have a good night sleep in years. The Kazekage's youngest son, and most feared person in Suna, he will be known as the ninja who completed a hundred missions without getting a single scratch."
Naruto mentioned that in truth he has two siblings who truly love him, but because Shukaku influences him, he barely notices, he becomes obsessed with proving his worth, making people aware of him, to validating his own existence, but really the problem is the botched job they did when they made the seal on him, Shukaku, or the one-tailed sand raccoon, will manipulate him, making think Shukaku is his mother, and if he ever falls asleep Shukaku takes control, and that raccoon wants nothing more or less than to kill everything around himself, he does not trust anyone or anything, paranoid doesn't begin to describe him, but then again they are talking about a tailed beast, whose container chose to be buried in a gourd and be left in the middle of a desert. Not exactly the picture of mental stability, but Naruto could admit he was a little biased.
"There is a major threat coming, and thanks to that dream I know how bad it is, and all these little wars that have happened and will happen are nothing more than a distraction, to keep us from ever having enough focus to realize this is meant to cloud our vision, and quite frankly I don't have time to deal with political bullshit, red tape, and useless excuses, I know that I need to become stronger, much stronger than in that dream, or everyone and every creature on this world is going to die, and I can't tell anyone because the minute I do, people will think I am fucking more insane than Orochimaru. Add to the fact that the idiots in the village think I am the reincarnation of the beast that attacked them, get treated worse than a third-class citizen, and I can count the people who are nice to me with the fingers of one hand, and what can I tell you, dad, I am not having a nice time here."
That did it, Minato needed to see this dream and try to figure out why the hell this was confusing Naruto this badly, he placed his hands on his head, and using his chakra he accessed his memories, and through that, he saw the entire dream, he watched a couple of times before he broke the connection and was breathing pretty hard by the time he was done, the entire experience was shocking to say the least. The neglect of Jiraiya towards Naruto, the way Tsunade abandoned Konoha to drown her sorrows, and the way the villagers treated the very person whom he wished to be treated as a hero were some of the least pleasant things, learning how he was manipulated and the truth that caused the Uchiha Massacre were also painful.
"Alright, I see where some of the problems are coming from, It seems these memories are from an alternate version of our universe, it is similar but there are many small differences that make it a little confusing, Some of the genders of the people in these memories are wrong, just look at Kurama as a key example, and no, I didn't split the nine tails in half, Kurama is the same as when she was placed inside your mother and that is because of the Sage of Six Paths interfering at the last moment but that still left me going into the stomach of the Shikigami and your mother was fully healed and given the ten tails that apparently was locked away allowing her to survive but I don't know why she's not here so let's forget about that right this minute and focus on what we can deal with right now and you might think this place is gross if not outright disgusting, but trust me, this is nicer than how Kushina used to keep Kurama locked. She was not shy about using those chakra chains of hers in some rather painful ways."
Kurama only commented not to remind her, having been held up in the air, by having every limb wrapped painfully in chains, not being able to move, was something she wouldn't wish on her worst enemy, Minato told her not to complain so much, because unlike many of her previous containers, Naruto actually trusts her and treats her as family, so she should have a much better life.
"The main problem I have is that all these skills require a lot of training, and I will not be able to help you, this was set as a way to prevent the destruction of that seal, so much so, that I don't have the key to open it, it actually is with a toad that is a good friend of mine, but like I said once the chakra that fuels this part of the seal runs out, that is it, I am gone." Kurama had enough of the excuse she simply mentioned Since the seal that kept her chakra separate from Naruto's chakra network was gone, she could feed him some chakra to allow him to remain longer and help train Naruto. He could even help him learn to purify the chakra so that the tail beast chakra was no danger to Naruto at all.
If anything the one thing she wanted to request was changing the appearance of this place inside his mindscape, she understood the whole reason it looked like the bottom of a powerplant, since she couldn't get out she had to live there, and even worse thanks to her sensitive nose, she has to suffer no thanks to the awful sickening smells.
After a few minutes that was easily changed to a meadow encircled by trees, the flowers were in bloom, fruits were growing on the branches, and birds, bunnies, deer, and other creatures would come through and frolic, making the entire place feel like it was an extremely serene and peaceful place. In truth he only did so, she could get some exercise while she attempted to hunt down something to eat. He had no inclination or even dreamed about her eating the fruit, that was simply bait.
She was a lot happier about her surroundings, but really they needed to get back to what needed to be done, "So in short, she keeps me powered up with her chakra, so I can remain here long enough, to help you train, not a bad idea if she could also help you make at least a thousand shadow clones, well that could make it possible for us to complete your training in those seven days before the team placement, but sadly I can't help you train in the sage arts, I know them, but only one person I know is proper to train another in the sage arts, and this case would be the most skilled and knowledgeable toad in his clan, but sadly Jiraiya is the one that currently holds the Toad Summon Contract."
He looked at Naruto and couldn't help but smile, "You may have all those memories, but they are distorted, and you will be required to relearn all that, and unfortunately, knowing the summoning technique means next to nothing unless you have signed a summoning contract, from the memories I saw that in those memories you signed the Toad Contract, it is quite easy to see since you also used the Toad Combat Style, a style most Toad sages actively learn and some even prefer. So until we can get to meet with Jiraiya or you do, and get him to let you sign that contract, reverse summoning you to the mountain is next to impossible."
Minato became rather serious, "As for training, don't worry son, I got a secret place where you can train to your heart's content, without having to worry about anyone knowing about it, it's a secret hidden training ground at the Forest of Death, just follow my directions and I will guide you there, it has everything you will ever need, wait till you see it."
Ino was having still trouble dealing with that nightmare she had, She had to spend quite a bit of time going through that dream, organizing it, making sure the entire thing was correctly deciphered, and she didn't like what she was seeing at all. If what the dream said is true, this could be vital information that could save or doom Konoha, She knew that she could not delay this any longer so she did the only thing she could, and she immediately decided to ask to see the Hokage. Ino was certain that at the very least the Hokage would wish to know about this, since using her clan's techniques she managed to prove that everything in the dream was memories and not fabricated illusions, which only served to concern him even more.
Ino also understood that she needed to work on her explanation carefully, on one hand, she could come across as an attention-hungry fool, and on the other side, an insane lunatic whose mind cracked and was having paranoid delusions. Either extreme could lead to disaster, and she needed to avoid that no matter what happened to her own standing within Konoha or her own clan. This was troubling to her as she walked towards the Hokage tower and she continued to think about how to explain her dream to the Hokage, most other people would not even try to consider something as crazy sounding as this, but she knew this was indeed a life or death matter, and in her dream, she saw herself as something she didn't even think as possible, the head of the torture and interrogation department of ANBU.
She saw in the end only one alternative, she would do as she saw herself do in that dream, She would take all her emotions, and lock them aside, letting her mind become cold, calculative, logical, but mostly calm, In this state it took her a few minutes to come up with a decisive explanation of what she had seen in the dream, and even came up with a way to show the Hokage her dream using a means to project her thoughts, so others could see them. It was something her clan had been able to do, but she never figured that she would be able to understand it, especially after just graduating from the academy, The version in her dream was not as young as she was currently.
She walked into the office and immediately asked the Hokage to forgive her for asking to meet her so urgently but the matter she needed to discuss was simply so important, that she could not wait any longer. Tsunade heard this and told her not to worry, she knew exactly what she was there to talk about, she told Ino to take a seat to wait for the others to also come to this particular meeting, Ino immediately asked what she meant other people need to be present for this meeting.
"Ino, I am certain that you are troubled by a dream you had, a dream that showed you memories of things that are yet to happen, or things that you never believed would happen, These dreams are distorted however, they don't seem to be exactly as we remember them, like this is a different version of our own reality, a view through a distorted mirror. If I suspect your dream was about events in your life, as if happens my dream was about events in mine, so I understand why you feel such urgency in wanting to discuss this, but you are not the only one who requested to meet me like you did, as far as I can tell there are five of us, five people that had a dream like that, each based on the life of each individual. I will require you to use your clan techniques and attempt to decipher the memories within each dream, and help me and the others understand what these dreams mean."
As they waited she began to describe some of the things and the many different things she saw in her dreams, She even attempted to project the dream on the surface of the wall, as she explained how she used her clan's techniques to make this as clear as possible, which made sense to her, but she did mention that many of the people she knew were different from what she saw in her dream, many of her friends who were, in fact, women appeared in her dream as men.
Tsunade explained that this was something that she also noticed in her dream, as disturbing as it is, she came to realize these memories more than likely come from a different version of either their timeline or reality, which made sense to Ino seeing how distorted the memory had been when she first saw it, as they discussed this Hinata, Sakura, and Sarada finally made it to the meeting, and upon seeing them they asked why the other were present.
Ino was quiet as Tsunade explained that each of them had a strange dream, almost like a very confusing vision of the future, she needed them to remain calm as she explained that all the women in this meeting had a similar dream, Ino and herself also had this dream, Ino is going to use her clan techniques to clarify and make the dream easier to understand by making the dream much more clear as she used her mind walking abilities.
Some of them were not happy about this, but one by one stood by Ino who did as she had done for her own dream, and after a little bit they began to understand this dream was not a dream at all, it was memories from another reality, a very different reality since Sarada had memories but in those memories, she was a boy named Sasuke. In the end, they all agreed to have Ino project their dreams on the wall, except for Hinata. Ino teased her asking if the reason was because she didn't want to see how Naruto was in bed with her, she blushed and told her that there was a good reason for that.
Tsunade asked for an explanation, one that would justify why she didn't want to show the others her dream, "Look you are right, in that dream, I am married to Naruto, but the thing is, in that dream when we make love was extremely passionate, so much more than I ever imagine any woman could feel making love with her husband, I will not deny that it was a wonderful and pleasurable experience, however, I don't want it to be the death of me, I couldn't handle him all by myself, and so in that dream, I had no other alternative but to form a harem, and much to my embarrassment several of the women present were part of that harem, which is why I didn't want to show you my dream, fearing that you all would find this insulting."
Tsunade had to agree that this was troubling if Naruto was anything like Hinata saw in that dream, it meant he was simply too strong and no single woman would be able to withstand till he was finished making love, this means any woman who tried to sleep with him by herself would either be fucked to death or till that person was so injured they would legally have to be declared disabled, this was not a problem she was expecting when dealing with this strange dream, but the situation had to be resolved, it was quickly decided that if Naruto upon being placed in a team, he is exactly like he appeared in Hinata's dream, there was no other alternative but to immediately enroll him in CORA, or whoever becomes his wife would suffer the consequences.
