Tears
They had arrived just outside the Miller Stadium and had run inside just in time to hear a monstrous agonized wail. When they arrived the Dark Energy along with the now black flames on the Dark Armor had engulfed the poor Turtle and began to transform him as a ball of Inky black lifted up into the sky.
"ORANGE!" Splinter cried out. But he didn't hear him when the orb exploded open. The form of Shredder-Mikey had become larger but elongated and twisted. His limbs looked thin and skeletal with the claws now large and more pronounced three of the Spikes on his back stretched forward into skeletal Dragon heads. The Spikes on the helmet had elongated as well the two on his cheeks had risen upwards to where his temples would be the other two slightly higher with the center being split in two.
His mouth was gaping open in a twisted large creepy frown. The eyes were black save for two tiny red dots glowing from them were large white lines with puffs of smoke that were like tears the creature stood up and let out a horrible eldritch wailing roar.
"Now what do we do!?" Brute muttered from nearby as Shelldon noticed them and snuck closer.
"We will have to find another host." Lieutenant growled.
"Box turtles aren't aquatic and I don't think Draxum ever taught him." Bebop suggested.
"Perfect," Lieutenant said as they rushed into a nearby pickup truck. They drove in front of Mikey who looked at them as they drove off. He roared in anger which sounded worse and began to walk forward. As the Dragons began to whip out and cut through the nearest wall headed south as the things he passed instantly were set on fire or melted.
"Michelangelo…." Splinter muttered tears flowing down his face as he fell to his knees Carol and April rushing to his side. "Why…..Why Didn't I listen to you!?" he sobbed.
"The Flames are twenty-five thousand degrees!" Donnie cried looking at his phone that was tingling on his arm. Then Shelldon rushed back over to the others.
"They're gonna try and drown Mikey! And that's if he's not cooked alive from his own flames! I Think I melted a little getting closer!" Shelldon stated frantically.
"Splinter we have to help him now!" Carol said helping him up as the others were already rushing back to the Turtle Tank that Donnie had summoned. Once inside Donnie immediately circled around what was left of Miller Stadium and headed south towards one of the harbors. It wasn't long before they got closer to him seeing him run like a turtle on all fours after the truck.
"The Target is the Foot Ninja! We gotta smash them off the road!" Raph shouted.
"And what are we supposed to do when we get to that part?" Tiger Claw asked. "How are we supposed to calm Mikey down and how do we even get him out of the armor?!" He asked worriedly.
Raph was stunned at words. He just looked up at his baby brother that was on camera as Donnie put up heat shields. He noticed something about the face.
"It looks like he's cryin'" Raph muttered sadly feeling tears pricking his own eyes. As they raced in closer Donnie started shooting Bowling balls. At them as they rushed at the Truck however before they could Rocksteady landed a punch on a nearby building that caused it to start crashing down.
Raph gasped as he immediately used the turbo gets to get out of the way as they barely avoided the tank being crushed. "NO!" he screamed.
"They're getting away!" Krysta shouted. Donnie immediately had to start finding another route. Unfortunately the fasted one he had took him in a huge U turn around the block. And the Warf wasn't that far away.
"I can fix this! I can fix this!" Donnie said to mostly himself desperately as he immediately went on the Road the group was unaware that someone had used a nearby Ramp to fly over the Rubble and chase after the Foot.
Donnie did everything he could to get there faster using the Turbo rockets jumping onto the sides of buildings to get around he only just saw the Warf in the distance but Mikey was approaching it.
"We're not gonna make it!" April cried. However something zipped in front them familiar blue mask ties flowing in the wind.
"It's Leo!" Krysta called.
"HA! HE'S ALIVE! I TOLD YOU! I WAS RIGHT RAPH!" Donnie said as he immediately tracked down another route and began to rush to get back after the large Mikey and Foot Truck.
Leo was able to weave quickly past Mikey and zip around to where the Foot Ninja were.
"What?!" Lieutenant gasped as Leo pulled out a few Shuriken and launched them at the Tires skillfully.
They instantly popped and crashed into a nearby blockade causing the truck to flip almost completely over as Rocksteady and Bebop were sent flying. Leo used a Raph to get to the top of a shipping crate as Mikey let out a horrible snarl unable to find them.
"MICHELANGELLOOOOOOO!" Leo screamed at the top of his lungs as Mikey's attention was shifted away onto him.
Leo felt Donnie in his brain suddenly mind melding. "Leo he thinks Klunk is dead and that's why he went berserk! We're coming but you've got to calm him down!"
"Yeah I got him away from the edge…hurry!" Leo replied as the monster was breathing at him looking like he would bite Leo in half at any second. He took a breath gathering his courage.
"Mikey…I know you're scared and angry right now! That you've been feeling like a Monster, but you're not! You helped snap Raph out of his savageness. You won the game against the Demon Daves! You help us get the Book to free Mayhem! You helped Keep Donnie's Pumpkin safe and free Tiger Claw! And you even bought us time to heal him! You helped Raph with Franken-Foot. You freed me Donnie and a bunch of trapped fans from JJ's Nerve pinch."
Mikey was listening his mouth and head twitching ever so slightly as the smoke tears seemed to come faster. At this point the two Foot Leaders had arrived. Brute went to attack but Lieutenant held his arm out.
"Wait let this happen, maybe there's a chance…." He said.
"Keep it up Leo he's listening!" Donnie pleaded as the group arrived and watched from a distance unable to get too much closer.
"Leo…" Raph muttered worriedly.
Inside the tank Klunk grunted pulling herself to her feet pain ached through her body. "Have to get to Mikey….have to get to Mikey!" She focused with all her might as she forced herself to move to the open door. She exhaled and landed on her chin before pushing herself up again as she focused, instantly large wings emerged from her back as she took off flying right over their heads.
"Klunk!" Donnie shouted.
"Mikey you gave us the idea for the Mantis-sized mouse, prevented us from getting exposed and saved Run of the Mill Pizza! You've done so much good saving lives even helping to defeat Kitsune and King Komodo. You're also the bravest person I know! For putting up with Drasscum for as long as you did. And still being as kind and good as you are! I could never do that!"
Mikey roared with a powerful wail as if to argue. It looked like it was going to snap at Leo. Leo stood his ground. "I just want you to know. That no matter what happens next, I don't blame you! You're my brother….and I love you!"
The monster's face seemed to soften it stared at him. A voice suddenly desperately called out. "Mikey! MIKEEEEYY I'm here I'm alive!" Klunk shouted trying to keep herself up as Leo rushed over to catch her just barely managing to do so. "I'm here Mikey!" she called as loudly as she could. "You're good! This isn't your fault!"
"She's right!" Leo added. "You won't hurt us!" he promised firmly.
The monster's red dots began to flicker from red to purple rapidly. It was then somewhere a small orange flame emerged before the monster's eyes became large pools of purple acting like a spotlight on the two. The Monster shook its head and roared it was more of a grunt as opposed to the agonized wail it made before.
"Mikey!" Klunk shouted having managed to climb on Leo's shoulder.
"Mikey, Mikey there you are! Come back, come back!" he encouraged making a come motion with his hands for emphasis. Your family is here! We're all here! We're fighting this for you! But you have to do the same for us! We can only do this together!" he instructed as the monster let out a determined roar and focused as hard as he could.
Everyone watched hoping praying. Within minutes the black and silver flames immediately turned a beautiful gold and orange as dark smoke began to leave the monster's body. It then began to change back glowing as it did until it reverted to back to Shredder-Mikey. Leo with Klunk on his shoulder rushed over to get closer to him.
"Leo? Klunk?!" Mikey asked joy in his voice as tears to match poured down his face.
"Mikey!" Leo and Klunk shouted together as Leo began to run forward ready to embrace his little brother hug him tight at let him know it would be alright. However before he could get closer, Lieutenant sprang out of nowhere and pulled something from the back of the helmet.
Pink and black magic exploded from Mikey as he let out a sharp yelp of pain and Leo was blown back. The Man turned smirking holding his old Jupiter Jim figure.
"Yes! I've done it! Now the armor will absorb his soul and power as foretold!" he declared maliciously.
"No, no, no, no!" Mikey whimpered as he held his head. He was bathed in an orange light struggling as it seemed to two forces, were at war inside of him. "GET OUT! STOP IT!" he shrieked screaming in pain as magic crackled around him.
"He's resisting!?" Brute gasped. "But that's impossible."
"How powerful is that Turtle?….fighting the ritual through sheer force of will!" Lieutenant growled.
"Mikey!" Krysta shouted as she rushed forward and grabbed one of the gauntlets on Mikey's arm and pulled with all her might fiercely. It wasn't long before Raph and Donnie were right behind him followed by Tiger Claw, Carol, April, Mayhem and Splinter.
"GET OFF OF MY SON!" Splinter snarled jumping onto Mikey's shoulders and trying to pull the Kuro-Kabuto off. Tiger Claw, Carol and Raph were pulling at the armor over his shell. April was biting it as Donnie tried to use his tech to remove it. Mayhem was jumping on Mikey and teleporting over and over again trying to get the armor off that way but to no avail.
"He's there, he's right there!" Leo groaned frantically pacing in place trying to figure out what to do. "I need to do something what can I do!" he groaned as something banged on his shell. He remembered he had Tiger Claw's sword.
Words returned to him in that moment as he unsheathed the sword and looked at it.
"Those kinds of Mystic Weapons are more like training wheels. They bring your power up to the surface and copy it while being a conduit for you."
"Don't think about what you want. Feel what you need your powers to do."
"Follow your heart….and the way will open…"
Wordlessly Leo placed Klunk down and focused exhaling praying in his mind for this to work. He lifted the sword rushed forward as fast he could, putting as much focus as he could. Suddenly blue electricity began surging around the tiny orange flame as Leo's markings began to glow brightly. Everyone jumped back in surprise as Leo swung the sword upward and slashed it down runes on the blade that focused on the Dragon and into the sun tip shone brightly as Leo cut down and opened a portal into the armor.
He gasped when he saw it had worked. He put his upper half in. "MIKEY!" he shouted reaching a hand out and screaming inside he could see the little Box turtle struggling in tears against black vein like crystals that he was trying to blast off over and over. He looked up and saw Leo. But it seemed the veins did too.
Because instantly they rushed at him however as a spikey red ring of Power began circling opposite of the lightning Raph emerged into the Portal and power punched them away. "Mikey reach for us! Fight it big man!" he encouraged.
More came but then the tech-bo made its way in shredding them away with the Shredder extension as purple building blocks began circling horizontally of the orang flame. "Mikey, we're here Mikey!" Donnie called as all three reached for him.
Mikey screamed with all of his might managing to start pulling free as an intense burst of Blue, Red, Orange and purple began surging wildly outside the portal everyone watching in horror that slowly turned to awe and hope as they began to overpower the sinister pink and black magic that the armor had been producing earlier.
Then there was an explosion of light as Splinter could make out a familiar insignia over his sons. Could it be?
Blue electricity surged out as Leo was joined by Raph in a left frame and Donnie in the right. Ribbons of some kind erupted over their arms and legs as their belts and Donnie's battle shell seemed to change color as well. They were then covered in a glow of blue, red and purple respectively. And the lights surged out further into the portal blowing away the crystalline veins that were trying to drain Mikey.
"SAVING LIKE A BOOOOOSSSSS!" they shouted reaching in. Mikey screamed pulling his arm free finally and then grabbing on to the now emerald green hand the lights had made with a death grip began pulling the other arm away. His older brothers pulled back.
Outside Shredder Mikey seemed to change as he seemed to transform back into regular armor and the light went from its eyes. "NO!" Lieutenant and Brute shouted together as Mikey came flying out and the trio were sent flying back with an intense light that covered the area before above them was the Hamato clan symbol shining brightly as a mist that had obscured them began to clear.
They hadn't noticed yet but their appearances had changed. They now all had black wrappings on their arms and legs and belts with their panic buttons in their specified places. Mikey even had matching gear of his own. And a new mask and like his brothers the tails of them were longer about as long as Leo's now and were flowing in the wind they had created. He looked at them smiling as his brothers smiled brightly at their success but Mikey instantly jumped into their arms letting out a sob as Raph wrapped them all up in his arms.
"I was so scared! I thought I was gonna die!" Mikey wailed.
"It's okay Mikey we're here! We're right here!" Raph stated.
"All of us Mikey you haven't lost anyone!" Leo added.
"Yeah, what they said. I never felt so much relief in my life! And once again I don't usually feel things!" Donnie added his voice laced with relief as he nuzzled Mikey's head.
Leo felt his little brother in his arms. He was here, he could feel him hear his rapidly beating heart he had heard his voice. Relief stabbed his heart. He nuzzled Mikey tears flowing from his eyes.
"Leo, are you crying?" Raph asked surprised as Leo's eyes snapped open.
"NO!" Leo protested. "It's Liquid pride!" he said as his brothers gave each other side smiles land glances. "Did you see what I did? I portal chopped the Shredder!" he choked trying not to sob his lower lip trembling wildly as he looked at the pile of armor discarded ahead of them and pointed at it. "You've been portal chopped!" he whimpered out his lips still trembling as his brothers hugged him tightly.
"We'll let you think that big brother." Mikey murmured.
Just then….
"DIAMOND HIDE DON'T FAAILLLL ME NOOOOOOWWWWW!" Rocksteady shouted as Bebop screamed desperately clinging to his own brother as Rocksteady in his impervious form crashed into the ground making a large crater they both lay as a ball in before they groaned and climbed out. "What we miss?"
"Those accursed Turtles ruined everything!" Lieutenant snarled as he glared at the boys as Bebop and Rock noticed the pile of Dark Armor in a messy pile jaws dropping.
"Yeah and their little cat too!" Brute added with a growl as Splinter slid up and looked over the pile mockingly.
"Hmmm it seems that the Shredder has been…..wait for it…..SHREDDED!" he declared before bursting into a laugh where he held his gut and threw his head back a bit.
"You claim victory too soon Hamato….Yoshi…."
Instantly the Rat Man's face turned to one of shock and fear as his eyes bugged out and his mouth shut and pursed into a small hole as he looked over and saw the armor was reforming before jumping back in fear.
"No….you didn't take all my power! I know you didn't!" Mikey cried at the verge of tears.
"How?" Leo asked in shock as Brute, Lieutenant, Bebop and Rocksteady all gasped in awe and surprise before they all bowed.
"THE SHREDDER LIIIIIVVVESSSS!" Lieutenant declared with entropy.
"LONG LIVE THE SHREDDER!" Brute added with gusto.
"WE ARE NOT WORTHY!" Bebop and Rocksteady wailed in worship.
The Shredder turned to them and looked down. "At ease…"
"How is so this so Master!? The Ritual was a failure!" Lieutenant bemoaned.
"Yes. But what little I did absorb was Hamato essence! The Key to making me truly all powerful," The Shredder explained turning to the turtles. "It Fractured Karai's seal allowing me to control my body from a distance," He suddenly got right up in Mikey's face as Mikey whimpered in terror and hid in Raph's chest. "Thank you Young Turtle…."
Leo got between them and reached for Tiger Claw's sword. "You stay the Hell away from our brother!" he snarled however instead of grabbing Tiger Claw's sword which was at their side he instead pulled forward two mystic Katanas. "That's new…"
Shredder let out a roar and swiped at the turtles as Donnie and Raph yelped however Leo quickly blocked the blow but was quickly being over powered by such intense strength he had never felt before. He was sweating bullets fortunately Mayhem had teleported to them and then teleported them back to the others as Tiger Claw wordlessly picked up his sword before checking the boys over with Carol and Splinter.
"That was too damn close!" Leo sighed in relief.
"Not over yet!" Krysta muttered as the Shredder had merely walked towards the group looking down on them with amusement.
"Stand strong, the Shredder will show no mercy!" Splinter warned as everyone got into fighting stances as Donnie held his tech-bo tightly and Raph and Mikey noticed their own new weapons. Raph had Sai whereas Mikey had Nun chucks…Draxum had taught him how to use everything but that Kurosai had been with him throughout his life. But in a way it went with an era of his own life coming to an end….The Shredder then spoke again filling his blood with ice as he looked up nervously.
"This is all that remains of the once Mighty Hamato clan?" He asked with contempt before smiling as much as demon armor could and chuckling. "Your Ancestors weep with shame!" He mocked vigorously.
"OHHHH EMOT-IONAL DAMAGE!" Bebop shouted vigorously.
"HE'S A TRIPLE SHREDDING THREAT!" Rocksteady cheered.
Klunk tried to get up from the box Leo had placed her on but couldn't and she no longer had the strength to shapeshift but she was scooped up by Carol who looked nervously at the scene before her. "It's alright…I got you…" She assured.
It was then that a portal opened and Recruit came rushing through it. "SENSEIS!" she shouted running up to them between the Hamato clan and the Foot Clan. "My Fury is unbridled and ready for GAASSSSPPPP!" she despaired when she saw the scene in front of her: "YOU RESSURECTED SHREDDER WITHOUT ME!?"
"Stand back girl, you can witness the destruction of the Hamato Clan at the Hands of Shredder!" he declared.
"I wanna say I'm prepared but my chattering teeth won't let me!" Donnie whimpered.
Tiger Claw however charged without hesitation and struck as hard as he could but his own attack was stopped by the Shredder's hand as he closed around it and whipped Tiger Claw and threw him right back over their heads as he yelled like it was nothing.
Krysta then immediately began unleashing her Icy Fury Gelato kick again zipping around the Shredder trying to leave a potentially heavy ice trial around his limbs but he cut through the ice like butter and buried her in her own attack she almost struck her down as she dug herself out however Leo had teleported her out of the way that only made the Shredder charge at him as he yelped and began dodging swipes from the Shredder he then noticed Shredder stepping on a crack.
"Oh hoho don't you know the saying? Step on a crack break your mothers back?" he joked as he rolled out of the way of an attack. He then stepped on a painted line. "Step on a line and break your father's spine!" Leo fake gasped. "Ohhhh you're terrible son!"
"STOP JOKING!" Tiger Claw and Raph shouted together.
"I NEED TO COOOOPPPE!" Leo whined in response loudly.
Mikey however pulled him away from an attack. "Leo, Meteor bash!" he shouted Leo immediately opened a Portal for him it opened above the Shredder as Mikey came out and began spinning in his shell this time he retracted into his arms while holding the Nun chucks in each hand while spinning that while not doing damage knocked the Shredder off his feet this time the flames had become a gold with orange. Shredder was quick to regain footing only to find he was surrounded by portals and the Box turtle rapidly bashed into him repeatedly before disappearing into one that took him to safety while Leo summoned a large portal to drop and entire shipping crate on him.
Leo had used a portal to gain distance between him as Mikey extended his Nun chuck chain to Raph who grabbed it as Mikey wrapped it around his waist and threw him around with all his might. "Fire Smashing Sai Smash!" Raph shouted as he hit the Shredder who skidded back form the hit. Mikey then jumped up and retracted into his shell and Raph was quick to send him flying with their spicy meet ball attack.
He grinned into the Shredder's gut but he grabbed Mikey and threw him as hard as he could but Donnie was quick to catch him. Shredder roared jumping at him but Mikey quickly tied him up and threw him as the Shredder had almost broke the chains of his Nun chuck. Donnie flew up after him allowing Mikey to ride on a function of his battle Shell like a bike.
As he summoned the Rocket extension of his Tech-Bo and slammed him up wards Mikey detached from Donnie's back flying up. "HOT SOOUUUP!" he shouted ramming into Shredder knocking him back. He tried to fight in the air as the two jumped up grabbing each other's hands and spinning around.
"Vertigo Momentum!" They shouted slamming him towards the ground.
"Blue I need a portal up there!" Splinter shouted to him.
Leo nodded and opened a portal with his swords. He aimed himself towards the Shredder he grabbed the Shredder and used Momentum to spin rapidly.
"HOT SOUUUUUUUPPP!" he shouted throwing Shredder into the ground. Krysta then summoned a bunch of large Icicles to barrage the Shredder with however he sliced through them rendering them useless as he lunged at Krysta who couldn't escape in that moment when she looked around her and saw it was a high drop on all sides.
However Shredder was suddenly hit by a shipping crate and sent a couple feet away allowing Krysta to quickly get off the way she climbed up. "APRILLLLLLL O'NEEEIILLL!" she shouted as she used the crane to throw a couple more at him. He jumped over them effortlessly. However Tiger Claw had knocked him back with a flying kick before grabbing him and slamming him into the ground.
Tiger Claw screamed in pain as his chest had been scratched and was bleeding and he was knocked back. however Krysta was quick to trap him in a burst of intense winter winds that slowed him down.
"We must help the Shredder!" Lieutenant said as the five of them charged however they were immediately caught in a burst of ice and trapped in an ice block.
"I think you five have done enough." Krysta told them bitterly.
"Mikey we need something huge!" Leo shouted.
"I'm on it!" Mikey shouted as he let his Nun chucks orbit him before they stretched out and grabbed a nearby cargo ship with all of his might he threw an entire ship and aimed it for the Shredder.
"That's Amazing Mikey!" Raph cheered.
"GO MIKSTER GO!" Leo shouted wildly.
"Whoaaaaaa!" Donnie muttered in awe as the Shredder was caught underneath with various shipping crates falling around the Hamatos. Shredder however began to slice and through the ship as he was rag-dolled around he cut and ripped with chains he summoned through the hole when he got to the top he burst out of it unaware that one of the Turtles had kept up with him.
"Where do you think you're going!?" Raph growled as he power punched the Shredder who turned around and tried to fight back against the Power Punch Jutsu but was still dragged across the ground from the force as Raph and him ended up near the end of one of the docks. Raph had flipped over and skid to the other side of his Foe. "Come and get it Shredface!" he snarled as he made his Power Punch even bigger than before.
"Gladly!" he snarled charging but Raph managed to be faster.
"POWER PUNCHES AHOY!" Raph shouted as he slammed the large fist into Shredder knocking him on his back. But he managed to push up against it.
"You can't crush the Shredder that easily!" he sneered. With a slash of his mighty claws Raph was sent bouncing across the pier and sent through several shipping crates as his Avatar's arm fell into the ocean nearby.
However Shredder was suddenly blindsided by a sneak attack the Spinning Tech bo then returned to his master who jumped down in front of the Shredder with a determined glaring grin.
"All, of my Tech is standing by and I mean all, of my tech!" Donnie declared as Shredder noticed a bunch of strange devices as the Turtle placed his Tech bo on his shoulders and then a large drill appeared behind him.
"OOOOOOHHHH!" Leo cooed as he oogled the drill from nearby.
"EAT SCIENCE!" he declared pointing his tech-Bo forward as the devices charged.
Shredder chuckled at him and stood still doing nothing as they all hit him and proved useless. Even the drill that he had to exert slight effort against, he sneered at Donnie.
"SAD FACE EMOJI!" Donnie yelped his eyes welling with tears. He immediately turned to flee with the Shredder laughing at him. He screamed as the large monster pulled him back and swung him down hard and then slashed at his battle shell carving away some of it. Donnie screamed but Shredder was suddenly hit with bowling ball after bowling ball.
"GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Shelldon roared as he kept throwing several more that he found a whole shipping crate of. Then another suddenly crashed into the Shredder at full speed and swung him towards another pile of crates.
"Why, would you get a Craning license April? BECAUSE THIS!" she declared remembering what Dale asked her as shipping crates buried the Shredder.
"Sweet Craning April!" Mikey called as she cheered.
"ENOUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!" Shredder snarled unleashing energy obliterating the crates before sending a bunch of blade like waves at them.
"Mikey fire first after that Krysta fire we need to make them brittle!" Tiger Claw instructed. The two did just that as quickly as they could.
"You can jump in at any time!" Krysta yelped nervously.
"Splinter on me!" Tiger Claw shouted as he charged the Rat jumping on his shoulder as they rushed forward and began punching their way through the waves to get to the Shredder who merely replied with a couple of slashes that sent the two back and hitting the ground hard.
"Guys!" Mikey called as they rushed to their sides. Splinter looked nervously at their opponent he was glaring at them.
"The Shredder is done playing with us! He will not hesitate to destroy us." Splinter said warily.
"We're not getting anywhere with him either." Tiger Claw growled.
"Fighting won't work…we need another way…." Mikey muttered wracking his brain until he remembered something. "Hey, the Control collar!"
"That's brilliant! It'll cut off the Soul that's controlling the armor and render his body immobile! Good Job Mikey!" Tiger Claw cheered.
"Mayhem it was last on the Yokai train in the meat locker car!" April instructed. Mayhem instantly disappeared then reappeared with the two pieces in his mouth.
"Okay," Mikey said nervously taking the collar. "I'm going to repair it, cover me!"
"We got your back!" Leo said as they charged forward. Mikey concentrated as hard as he could, Splinter lead the back charging fire into his tail and spinning around and hitting him across the face as Donnie turned his tech bo into a blaster and fired it at the Shredder who dodged it a bit.
"It is Futile Hamatos there is no defeating me in combat!" The Shredder growled as he knocked Leo, Donnie and Raph back with one hit. They tumbled back as Mikey repaired the Collar.
"We don't need to fight you. We just have to stop you." Mikey told him as he held up the collar and tried to get close however he was knocked back effortlessly.
"He's not gonna let us get close!" Splinter muttered.
April suddenly swung another crate at him knocking him down as Mikey rushed again however the Shredder slashed at him making him trip backwards in fright. He then jumped over to the crane slashing through the neck of it before jumping at the main control and snarling at April who screamed.
"Enough of your games girl!" He snarled slashing what little metal and glass protected her from the monster; But Mayhem however quickly teleported in and teleported her out just in time as he destroyed the whole thing.
"Aww man, that was our best bet!" April groaned as Leo, Donnie and Raph got to their feet.
Leo growled but he remembered watching Mikey and Donnie's combination attack the Shredder wasn't able to fight well in the air. He glared and grabbed the collar from Mikey rushing forward with it on his belt as he rushed forward as Splinter and April called his name.
Shredder slashed at him Leo however opened two portals causing the attack to strike the Shredder making him actually yelp in pain from his own attacks as he stumbled back. He attacked again and Leo repeated the action. "Stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself!" he jeered as the process continued and the Shredder glared at Leo.
"You dare Mock the Shredder!?" he snarled charging at Leo.
"I mock, I'm a mocker also makes for a great distraction!" Leo said grinning as he swung his two swords as widely as he could the portal swallowed them both as they sunk in the rest of the group looked around wildly they saw a blue light above them and saw Leo and Shredder now tumbling a hundred and ten feet above them. As Leo dove the Shredder slashed at him wildly and angrily.
Leo yelped as he slashed away blocking every blow with his Katana's.
"What's he doing?!" Raph gasped in shock.
"The Shredder couldn't fight well in the air. He figures he can get the Collar on that way!" Donnie shouted.
"It's not going well!" Krysta muttered as Leo couldn't get closer and they were getting back to the ground.
"Donnie!" Mikey suddenly said. "Can you launch me up there?!" Mikey asked. Donnie grinned arrogantly as he summoned the Turtle tank closer. They rushed to it Mikey pulling out all the bowling balls before retracting into his shell and climbing into the cabinet they were kept in and getting on the belt in his shell.
Donnie was taking aim at the two. Leo was yelping portaling himself up out of the Shredder's claws each time he even swam in the air away from the flailing beast at one point who was furious with him now.
"LAUNCH!" Mikey shouted as Donnie pressed the button and then Mikey was sent flying out of the tank. He spun rapidly fire around him as he aimed for the Shredder's head and slammed past it disorienting him as his head was forced to the side from the attack. He was stunned as Mikey came out of his shell and used his Nun chucks.
"COWABUNGA!" he shouted wrapping the Shredder up in his chains that had grown longer the Shredder tried to break free but Mikey exerted power and focus he wouldn't let him free. "LEO NOW!" he shouted.
"WHOOOAAAAHHH!" Leo shouted aiming himself down and slamming the collar around his neck as the Shredder began to scream wildly. He kicked off of the Shredder's back the eye was blinking green and red. Then finally green as the Shredder's eyes turned to black once again and the now limp armor began to tumble to the ground once Mikey finally let it go.
"YEAH!" the two shouted high-fiving in the air before Leo opened a portal that allowed them to roll safely back to the ground. They could see the Shredder fifty feet above them now.
"Leo, send the armor somewhere no one want to go, somewhere terrible and far away!" Tiger Claw said to him.
"THAT ISN'T NEW JERSEY!" Raph frantically added.
"On it!" Leo growled as both his Katanas shone a bright blue with all his might and focus Leo unleashed a large portal that swallowed the Shredder whole. Just as the foot group had freed themselves and rushed over.
Lieutenant screamed as the armor was swallowed by it. "NO! LORD SHREDDER!" he screamed as loud as his raspy voice would allow. He turned to them with hatred. "You will pay for this!" he snarled activating a portal and running into it.
"Yeah!" Bebop added. "Like the Boss says the road to success is paved with many failures! We'll be back!"
"Yeah you ain't seen the last of us!" Rocksteady added as they rushed in.
"We will find our Master and when we do you will feel the fury of Ten Thousand feet!" Brute growled as he rushed in as well leaving Recruit to erratically glare and point at them.
"You may have won the battle. BUT YOU HAVE NOT WON THE WAR!" she shouted pointing at them before back-flipping into the portal and it closed.
It was just then all was quiet Mikey walked forward a little he let the silence sink in. It was over…his nightmare was finally over….
"Mikey!" a weak but familiar voice called out to him he turned to see Carol coming out of her hiding place with the injured Klunk in her arms. They stared at each other for what felt like eternity before Mikey rushed forward as fast as he could afraid Carol would suddenly float away tears flowing wildly from his face as he rushed over and grabbed Klunk kissing her and buzzling her before he began to sob and wail as Klunk did the same nuzzling his plastron. After a few minutes Leo stepped forward.
"Leo…..Leo!" Mikey sobbed holding an arm open for him and trembling Mikey had believed he was dead this whole time. Leo had wished he had found a way to signal he wasn't maybe this wouldn't have happened if he did. But that was in the past. Leo rushed over and held his little brother in his arms tightly as Mikey sobbed his name over and over.
"I swear to you!" Leo said tearing up again. "No one is ever going to hurt you like that again!" He promised nuzzling Mikey close who's sobs were getting weaker but not because he was calming down. Mikey was getting sick. Leo immediately noticed how hot the Box turtle was against his chest almost like a small fire.
"He's got a fever! Dad where was my concussion treated?!" Leo asked frantically.

With another of the Big Mama portals Splinter had taken them to a twisted looking building. It was an emergency clinic in the hidden city but it was huge enough to be a hospital. They rushed in Raph carrying Mikey and Carol still had Klunk. At the desk was a grizzled old grey cat Yokai with a smooshed face and yellow eyes. She looked. "Oh you two again, you got bigger Kappa." She said looking directly at Leo.
Leo glanced around her eyes didn't change to Raph or Donnie he pointed at himself. "Yes you."
"You remember us?" Splinter asked surprised.
"Yep, not every day a box with Rat arms and feet comes in with a concussed child and the Medical insurance of a dead Nexus Champion. You're certainly one of a kind Lou. Your secrets safe with me," She replied. "What is it this time?"
Raph showed her Mikey who was panting in his arms his face was flushed as his skin went pale and he was sweating. Krysta was trying to keep him cool with her powers. "I see," she whistled instantly some Yokai Doctors came out and gave a stretcher for Mikey that Raph placed him on. There was another one coming over for Klunk.
"Oh! Alright…" She muttered placing Klunk down.
"You too," the cat Yokai said to Leo.
"You know it's weird, despite losing like I don't know; a pint or two of blood. Being thrown out of a train and window on said train; slamming into part of a bridge then running, fighting, screaming and crying with an injured shoulder and sending scrap metal to some form of Hell. I actually don't feel too- Oh there we go!" he slurred eyes rolling in the back of his head.
"LEO!" Raph shouted rushing forward and catching him. Another stretcher came out and Leo was placed on it disappearing into the back.

It had been a few hours before the three stretchers came back out. Klunk's bandages had been changed but they were glowing now. She seemed to be in a lot less pain. Leo had similar bandages around his shoulder. He was starting to wake up. He gasped and looked around. "Mikey!?" he asked he saw the Box Turtle next to him. He looked a bit better his fever looked like it had been dealt with.
"Poor thing was kidnapped," the Cat said having been told everything by Splinter. "That'll screw with anyone's health. But he has Dark Magic in his system and it's some of the nastiest crap I've ever seen. His system is disposing of it hence the fever. I've given him some medicine to help the process and something for his fever." She said handing Splinter the medicine with Mikey's name on it. She then glanced at Leo
"Get this kid and the cat some good food something with lots of Protein and minerals. They'll need to replace the blood they lost." She said.
"Eheh…" Leo laughed nervously as Klunk tilted her head.
"Those bandages keep the pain away. As for the little Slider I've reduced the damage on his shoulder to a minor tear. But it's still going to scar and he'll need the bandages for a few weeks. Change them out every day until he's better. These three are going to be just fine in the long run." she said handing a couple of rolls to Splinter.
"Thank you," Splinter replied gratefully as relief was evident in his features. April held Donnie and Raph's hand as they began to leave. Leo had fallen asleep during that time his exhaustion now replacing any anxiety or worry he had in his heart.

Leo woke up again he was back in the lair in the med bay. A part of himself was relieved to see it again. To be home again, he looked over seeing Mikey asleep with Klunk curled up by his head. Leo got out of his bed and sat beside him holding his hand and leaning on the bed.
"Leo? You should be in bed!" He heard Raph say as he and Donnie came in.
"I'm fine," Leo said quietly. "But I'm worried about Mikey." He took a breath. "Guys, I'm sorry for not understanding."
"What do you mean?" Raph asked with an arched eyebrow.
"I always used to think you guys didn't have faith in me to do anything or handle myself. I know Mikey can handle himself, he's strong and he's not an idiot either! But what I saw what Draxum did to him, what the foot wanted to do. What almost happened to him. What could've happened to the two of you, all I could think about was getting you guys back. Mikey especially I wanted to get him away from that monster so badly! I wanted you guys to be safe! That's when I realized, you didn't tell me no because you didn't believe in me. You both said it because you were scared! Mikey was absolutely terrified throughout that whole ordeal and I was just as scared as he was." Leo finished gripping Mikey's hand before hanging his head.
Raph went forward putting a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, I get it. It's scary to be responsible for the lives you protect. Your team your family but we do it anyway because that's what it means to be a hero!" he hugged Leo. Leo hugged back as Donnie smiled.
"He is so gonna deny ever saying this tomorrow but maybe things will change a little." Donnie said to himself.

Leo felt himself being tugged Raph and Donnie had retreated to their own rooms. He could see that Mikey was trying to pull him into the bed Klunk was pushing him up from his seat. Leo got up and put himself in the bed beside Mikey who snuggled against him.
"Don't strain yourself Miguel." Leo muttered softly.
"srrry," Mikey slurred falling asleep again. Leo saw Klunk looking at him with intense gratitude.
"Leo from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything." she said purring.
Leo smirked. "So you're going to use my actual nick name now?" Klunk smirked back at lightly swatted his nose.
"Lee!" she stated.
Leo let out a small chuckle. "Okay, I'll fight that later," he hummed closing his eyes as Klunk got between them. Mikey was hugging Leo as tight as he could Leo hugged him back as the coolness and silence of the Night rocked them to sleep.
