The confirmation

Jack and Heracles await for the appointment together at the temple of Asclepius, god of cure and health. The god doctor doesn't take too long to appear, with his magic staff.

- Heracles, hero of gods and humans! What an honor to have your presence in my temple!

- my friend, you and all of those who help to cure and take care of the people are the true heros. - Heracles gives the doctor a strong hug.

Jack smiles. His dear god is truly loved by everyone.

- Asclepius, this is my boyfriend, Jack. - Heracles introduces them to each other. - Jack, this is Asclepius, god of health in our pantheon. We've seen him doing miracles! You can feel safe with him.

- my pleasure to meet you, Jack. - says the other god, offering his hand.

- the pleasure is mine, sir. - answers Jack, taking the man's hand and shaking it.

The god doctor guides the couple to a small room, with a desk, three chairs, a bookcase filled with old books and a shelf with a lot of bottles with colorful drinks. "Look like a tea party", Jack thinks.

- very well… - Asclepius starts, sitting down at his desk. - who needs help and how can I help?

Heracles turns to Jack.

Heracles leaves the room and Jack is now alone with Asclepius, who invites him to sit before him.

But something catches his attention immediately. "Exactly what I thought", the god thinks. "Time to give the good news". He opens his eyes and smiles to Jack.

- I have great news, Jack: you're pregnant! I could see a little embryo growing inside your body. Congratulations to you and Heracles.

Jack's legs give in and the ex-killer almost fall on the floor, if Asclepius wasn't fast enough to hold him. The phrase "you're pregnant" repeats inside his head, while his heart races with anxiety.

- Jack?! What's wrong?

- this… This couldn't happen!

- I don't understand… Didn't you ask for a goddess of fertility's blessing to have this baby?

- no! I didn't ask for any blessing! Aphrodite tricked me!

- … Please, Jack, tell me more about it.

Even if he's nervous and not being able to talk straight, Jack can explain what happened since he accepted to drink tea with the greek goddess. Asclepius listens everything carefully e notices that his patient is not really happy in having a child.

- well… But here we are now. - he says, with a sigh. - the child is already there in your body. You know you have a choice. If you do it, if you're sure you don't want this baby, we can resolve this now. Aphrodite gave you a potion to make this child, I can give you one to make it disappear.

- I don't want this child! I'm not a father! I should-

Outside, Heracles was waiting for his boyfriend while looking to the clouds. When he sees Jack coming back, his smile disappears as he notices the sad expression of his beloved. His beautiful eyes are red, which mean he cried. He runs to him.

- Jack! What happened, love?! What's wrong?

- ...

- Jack, please, tell me! If you're terribly sick or something like that, I need to-

- Heracles… We need to talk.

They both sit at the temple's stairs and they talk. Jack explains all the situation with Aphrodite e, with much difficulty, he tells abou the pregnancy. He notices how Heracles paralyzes as he hears the news, his eyes froze looking to the ground, and how his breath becomes erratic.

- Herc?

- …

- Herc, please, say something. Your silence is killing me.

He touches Heracles' arm, but the demigod stands up abruptly.

- Heracles?

- no… It's ok. I'm sorry. It's just… It's just that I need to go home, and think about it.

Jack's eye see Heracles' color changing. The golden color is becoming… Purple. The purple of fear. The very color he used to love to see when he killed his victims. The color he used to find the most beautiful for some good years of his life, the one he was always looking for. But this color in his beloved Heracles… It doesn't give him any pleasure! On the contrary, it makes him desperate! It scares him!

"No! No! This is not your color! No, my love! What happened with your beautiful color?! No, it shouldn't be this way! Heracles, please, don't be this damned color!"

- we talk tomorrow, ok? - that's all Heracles says before leaving Jack alone.

The ex-killer of London can't believe what he just saw. "In our fight, I did everything I could to paint you with this color, and you never gave up. - oh Jack, already back? How was there, with the doctor? - Eve asks.

Both notice that their son doesn't look very well.

- son, what happened? - Adam asks. - Why did you come back alone? Where's Heracles?

Jack falls on his knees on the floor, not being able to bear his heart aching, and allows himself to collapse in front of his new parents. Adam and Eve run to hug him, as he cries heavy tears in their arms. He doesn't say anything, but both parents already know what happened. And they don't say anything too. They don't need to. They just hug him tightly as long as he need.
