Biography:

J. Jonah Jameson was a hard struggling journalist who climbed his way up from humble beginnings. As a young man, he was attacked by the Ku Klux Klan in the midst of an exposing research, which left him traumatized with a severe bias towards those who would hide behind masks. When young hero Spider-Man debuted in New York City, Jameson at first attacked his reputation mostly as nothing but a quick way to sell papers, but over time, as Spider-Man fought back and humbled Jameson several times, their one sided enmity grew more heated.

While he always thought he had the best interests of everyone in mind, in his zeal he crossed several moral lines, like creating the villainous Scorpion, who turned against him and hounded him for years. However, he also defended noble causes like the rights of mutants and crusaded against the mob.

Bitter rivals for years, Spider-Man and Jonah somewhat buried the hatchet after Jameson learned Spider-Man's secret identity, that of Peter Parker, a freelance photographer for Jameson's own Daily Bugle. Jameson also served a term as the Mayor of New York.

It's generally agreed that Jameson lived to a very old age, despite being a chain smoker. A version of his life story had him still active long after his one hundredth birthday.

In Chaldea, he is the publisher of the local newspaper for Servants, his new version of the Bugle.

Class Skills:

Avenger: C

A Class Skill of the Avenger class, representing the state of an Avenger as one that gathers people's hatreds and grudges onto oneself. It is easier for one to accumulate hatred and resentment. The rate of mana generation becomes higher when receiving damage.

Avenger hates Spider-Man in an irrational way, despite all the times the masked superhero saved his life. Later in life, both men made peace with each other, but the legacy of the years Jameson spent as Spider-Man's public opinion nemesis tainted his Saint Graph, not too unlike the way Salieri's was altered, although not enough to grant the Innocent Monster skill. He also was against Bruce Banner aka the Incredible Hulk, and while he respected Captain America and the Fantastic Four, he was highly distrustful of other superheroes and would attack them in the press at the slightest perceived slip. As an Avenger, despite being a well intentioned person, he deals extra damage to Good oriented Heroic Spirits as a result.

Avengers also deals three times average damage to enemies with a Spider trait, whether they are Good or not. Cooperation with Spider-Man as a Servant is possible in the context of a large campaign, even if Avenger would hate it, but if they are put in the same battlefield at the same time Avenger cannot help hinder Spider-Man's actions, even without realizing it.

If Avenger should see Spider-Man unmasked he'll only think he's dealing with a costumed Peter Parker posing as Spider-Man for some reason, and boss him around. As an Avenger class Servant, his judgement is clouded to Parker and Spider-Man being one and the same, even if the Master tries to explain it. Avenger will stubbornly reject the notion as ridiculous.

Mana Replenishment: C

One's magical energy endlessly surges until their revenge is accomplished. Recovers a minuscule amount of magical energy every turn.

Jameson was relentless, and the more he was antagonized, the more he redoubled his efforts. A stubborn man, he wouldn't back down and once set on an enmity, her wouldn't stop until his enemy was in the gutter. But as a fundamentally good man deep inside, the rank is lowered since he wouldn't sink as a low for his hatred as other Avenger Servants.

Oblivion Correction: A

Another Class Skill of the Avenger class. People are creatures that forget many things, but an Avenger never forgets. The critical effect of Avengers who attack from beyond one's memory is strengthened.

Jameson would never ever forget, not even when he was elder and senile. Having the capacity to store lots of information on his enemies in records for posterity because of his job as a journalist helps the skill notably.

Personal Skills:

Spider Slayer: A

On the battlefield, Jameson wears the suit of armor scientist Spencer Smythe built for him, the prototype Spider Slayer. This armor originally was controlled from a distance, with Jameson sitting at a fair, safe distance from the combat, but as a Heroic Spirit Jameson's core is placed inside of it. Jameson's face shows up at the middle of the mecha's chest. The armor has strenght and endurance to match Spider-Man's, although it was slower thn him. It also has extendable arms with pincer-like hands.

Out of the battlefield, Jameson's human form can exist outside the armor to move freely without being suspected by any mundanes. This also makes the mana consumption much lower. As soon as Avenger is attacked the armor will reform around him so it's nearly impossible to catch him unaware, as this is an automatic defense.

Power of the Press: A+

As a respected publisher and journalist, Jameson had a lot of influence over the mass media and public opinion. After the downfall of printed newspapers he made a successful jump to online journalism and television news, albeit he like 'the old ways' much better personally.

As a Servant, he can influence the flux of information through popular media, 'killing' news for the sake of the greater good, or altering data to protect innocents or slander a hated enemy. Publishers and influencers will be subconsciously moved to publish or hide what Avenger tells them to. The only boundaries are those set by Avenger's personal ethics. A rival Master can be painted as a public enemy as long as Avenger believes they are deserving of it; if Avenger's own Master is thought to be in the wrong by Avenger, those meassures won't take effect. The skill can be used to help keep a Grail War secret, or to hurt the capacities of a rival to act out in the open.

Golden Rule: C

Avenger has the economic resources of a press mover and shaker, as well as the prestige, fame and wealth achieved from his tenure as a Mayor. The resources cannot compare to those of international magnates, but the Master and their allies will always be well provided.

Noble Phantasm:

Invasion of the Spider Slayers: B

Anti-Army. Up to 500 units at a time.

While these mechanical monsters were the inventions of Smythe's son Allistair, Jameson gained control over them as an Avenger, because of his involvement with several Spider Slayer related crises and because Allistair wasn't well known enough to reach the Throne of Heroes himself.

The Spider Slayers are hundreds of armored scorpion-like metallic creatures, programmed with robotic intelligence to locate, destroy and annihilate enemies. They were originally built to kill Spider-Man, but their programming can be altered so they attack any other adversary Avenger sics them on. They can fly, shoot energy beams from their eyes and tails, and deliver powerful stabbings from their sharp tails.

The effect is that of a fearsome swarm descending upon the enemy lines.

Summon:

"Are you supposed to be the Master? You don't look like a Master! Do you even have what it takes? I doubt it! Servant Avenger, here to whip that lily butt of yours in shape! Avenger? Ugh, now everyone will think I'm one of them!"

Start of Battle:

"Get on with it, you moron!"

(Looks at the enemy. Laughs like a maniac, stops). "You serious?"

"Master, make room for these idiots' obituaries!"

"Let's roll our sleeves up and make some news!"

Attack:

"Heh heh!"

"Feeling lucky, Son?"

"How about that, Sonny Boy?"

"I'm not that old yet!"

Damage:

"Bah! You whippersnapper!"

"Son of a spider!"

"Blah, blah blah!"

"I hardly felt that!"

Damage by Noble Phantasm:

"You won't silence our voices!"

"Stop the presses! We have a new headline! Local hero saves the day!"

"Get me the world's tiniest violin! You want some cheese with that wine?"

"You're fired! Whaddya mean you didn't work for me? I hire you! There, now you're fired!"

"Make sure these pictures do me justice! Get my courageous expression... My determined, fighting stance... My iron fists, clenched and ready!"

Defeat:

"There's an old saying. Enemies can kill you, but only your friends can hurt you."

"It's all his fault!"

"Your name will be in the mud, you hear me?! In the mud!"

"Why are you trying to silence the people!?"

Noble Phantasm Activation:

"Activating the Spider Slayers! Okay, you wall crawling freaks, now you're going to have a good time!"

Extra Dialogue:

"Oh, no! Even here, you costumed creep?! You're sabotaging this place from the inside, aren't you? Well, you ran outta luck! I'll have my eyes on you again from now on!" (When you have Caster Spider-Man).

"Norman. Osborn! What the hell are you doing here, you miserable monster!?" (When you have Rider Green Goblin).

"Another of those freaks! They follow their eight legged ringleader around wherever he goes! Without me, that fat bastard wouldn't be anybody! The Bugle made him a famous name!" (When you have Lancer Doctor Octopus).

"Victor von Doom! That's bad news, alright! And to think I once admired him." (When you have Caster Doctor Doom).

"From one Mayor to another I'll give you free advice, Mr. Macho... Stop associating with costumed clowns! You'll ruin your reputation!" (When you have Lancer Mike Haggar).

"Well, but if it's the Storm boy! Where are Richards and Grimm? Huh? Not here yet? But you made it, why?" (When you have Rider Human Torch).

Birthday: "Happy birthday. What, did you want me to bake you a cake? You're a big kid now! Go do something productive with your time!"

Event: "I smell a huge scoop there!"

Holy Grail: "My wife, my son, that's what I should be saying. But all I can feel now is that damn frustration, that rage..."

Next:
