From This Moment On-Ch 4
Reid walked over and sat down at the table beside his wife who leaned in and asked, "are you alright, you were gone for quite a while?", he nodded his head and said, "yeah Jayje, I'm fine, I'm fine", it was only a matter of a few minute before their breakfast was placed on the table in front of them and the entire time that Reid sat eating breakfast he hoped that Penelope's son was going to be alright.
Penelope rushed home and practically flew into Sheila's apartment, the older woman looked up and said, "it's up to 104, I gave him some Motrin a few minutes ago and I've tried stripping him down into nothing but a diaper and tried cool compresses but so far nothing is working", Penelope picked up her son and held him as she walked the floor.
Sheila said, "do you have any ideas?", she shook her head and then said, "no but I know who might", she then pulled her cell from her purse and dialed a familiar number. The team had just finished eating and were getting ready to get up and head to the police station when Reid's cell started ringing.
He pulled it from his belt and said, "hello", Penelope said, "Reid I need to talk to you", he said, "ohhhh yes doctor I can talk to you about my mother" as he stood up and walked away from the table so that the others couldn't hear their conversation.
Reid said, "what's wrong?", Penelope said, "boy wonder I have a son, Derek and I have a son and he's sick, he's running a fever of 104 and we can't get it down". Reid siad, "okay, first, calm down and tell me what has been done for him" and Reid walked back and forth in the parking lot as he listened to Penelope talk.
When she was done Reid said, "put him in a tub of lukewarm water with a little bit of rubbing alcohol in it and keep him in it for a few minutes and see if that helps", a worried Penelope said, "and if that doesn't hellp?", Reid said, "if that doesn't help then you need to take him to the hospital but wait and give the water a chance first".
Penelope blew out a deep breath and said, "thank you boy wonder", Reid grinned and said, "you're welcome, I'll call you later to check on him but if you need anything before I call you just message me and I'll do all I can to help you", Penelope grinned and said, "thanks again, I don't know what I would have done without you".
Reid said, "you're my sister and Hank, Hank is my nephew so I'll always be here to help you and do whatever I can so don't panic okay?", Penelope blew out a deep breath and said, "okay I'll try, I'll try" as the call ended, she then did what Reid said and then put her son into the water and rubbed it all over him hoping that the genius was right and that it would indeed bring her sons temperature down.
JJ walked over to Reid and said, "is your mom okay?", Reid said, "yeah, she's fine he was just wanting to talk about a new medication trial that might be coming out soon that's all", JJ smiled and said, "ohh, okay, good I'm glad that she's alright", she could tell by the look on her husbands face that he had just lied to her, she didn't know why but she would find out, she would get to the bottom of who was on the phone and she would do it soon.
