"This is really nice, Dave," Samira told her date as the two of them entered an elegant restaurant where they were immediately escorted to their table with no waiting. The service was discrete and exceptional, but Samira would expect nothing less from a place like this with chandeliers on the ceiling giving off a soft radiance. It was nice, romantic and elegant. There were white tablecloths made of fine linen on the tables as well as candles already lit.

"Good that was my intent," Dave said, as he opened his menu that had just been handed him. "Order anything you want. Don't worry about the prices."

Samira looked at the menu and noticed that there were no prices listed which usually meant that they were going to be really high.

She was sure this was going to take a huge chunk out of her paycheck Samira thought as she looked at the menu. It never entered her head that this was a date so Dave would be paying. When she went on a date she also usually ended up paying for her portion, because she didn't want to feel obligated to whatever guy she was with to accept a second date, even accepting having sex with whoever her date was.

She managed not to wince in front of Dave and decided she was going to enjoy myself to the hilt no matter what it came to.

She finally ordered the lobster, which promised to be an experience.

Seafood was rather expensive in a place like this, even though they lived was near the ocean since this was Los Angeles. Seafood was always expensive no matter where you went, but it would probably be more expensive here.

Samira would never dream of trying to get a reservation at such a place as this and if she did it would probably take several months at least. Yet Dave had gotten a table without even making a reservation as far as Samira knew.

They had just shown up, bypassed the waiting line and been shown to their table immediately with polite respect. However, David Rossi was a very well-known billionaire and due to that status he would be welcome practically anywhere reservation or not. Samira hadn't heard a single grumble from the others waiting for a table and she wondered if every one in line had known who David Rossi was. She had heard of him of course though she never watched the news or read the business section of the paper so only vaguely know what he had looked like.

That was likely, Samira decided silently, as she studied her date. It was said the wealthy lived differently from normal people like not caring about the cost of things just buying what they wanted. This was a perfect example if you asked her Samira thought looking around at the elegance, of the people dressed in their finest.

This place was definitely for those that were wealthier than her.

"So why don't you tell me about yourself Miss Samira," Dave asked his date with a charming smile.

He already knew all about her family, as he had had his computer expert Penelope look her up once he knew her full name but still he wanted to hear her version.

"Well, I have five sisters and four brothers," Samira began. "I am in the middle with a brother and a sister who are older and the rest are younger.

"So you're the third child born," Dave said, "and you have an older brother and sister, which makes them in their 30s."

"Actually, my sister has only just turned 29 and my brother is 30, while I am 28," Samira said. "I was born only 13 months after my sister."

"So when is your birthday," Dave inquired.

"In August," Samira answered.

"What day?" Dave asked when Samira didn't continue.

Samira didn't say anything and Dave raised his eyebrow.

"I can find that out easily enough if you won't just tell me," Dave told her. "I don't know why you won't tell me actually it's not like it's a secret."

"The 30th," Samira huffed finally.

She was rather annoyed with Dave mostly because she knew he was right.

"See that wasn't so hard now was it?" Dave said with a slight smile.

The two of them enjoyed their dinner chatting to each other and when it came time for dessert Dave ordered the chocolate mousse.

"You should try the mousse it's spectacular here," Dave suggested. "I've rarely had better.

"Oh no, I'm very full," Samira claimed.

She tried not to look longingly at Dave's chocolate mousse once it came so that he wouldn't know she was lying. The bill was going to be bad enough she didn't need to add to the price of dinner by ordering the mousse.

"I insist you get some to take home then," Dave told her. "You don't want to miss out trust me on that."

"That's OK. I don't need the extra calories," Samira answered.

Dave said nothing, but when it came time to pay the bill Dave snatched it up and paid with his credit card Samira not protesting. Dave then said something to the waiter so quietly that Samira didn't hear what it was. Dave had only been given one check and hadn't shown it to her so she had no chance to pay her portion of the bill.

On the other hand, she actually enjoyed her date with Dave a lot more than some of the guys she had dated so she didn't mind so much. If Dave asked her for another date she would say yes and not out of obligation, but because she had enjoyed herself, a rare event. Most guys bored her to tears. She now wished she had gotten some of that mousse, but it was too late now.

Oh well, she had told Dave the truth she didn't really need the extra calories, Samira thought philosophically.

"Ready to go?" Dave asked Samira, as he rose from the two person table.

"Yes," Samira answered and took Dave's offered hand in order to rise from her chair. Samira didn't really need the help but Dave was being a gentleman. So many guys were not gentlemen and never held a chair out for a lady or helped them to rise. Dave left a large tip on the table and then escorted Samira out of the restaurant. The limo that Dave had picked her up in was already waiting along with the driver Jerry. Samira had been amazed when a limo had pulled up and she had been waiting outside for her date to arrive.

The driver had opened the door for her and she had slid inside to find Dave. Samira had been very impressed with the limo and all its amenities. There was a small fridge that had several different kinds of wine as well as soda. There was also a link so business could be done from the back seat of the limo. The limo was roomy and spacious and it was the biggest car Samira had ever seen much less been in. There was room for half a dozen people to travel very comfortably. The seats in the back were also a plush blue velvet.

Jerry stood at attention with the door to the limo already open and Dave gestured for her to go inside first.

"I hope you both had a good dinner," Jerry said, as he climbed behind the wheel once he accepted the bag the waiter handed him.

"It was wonderful," Samira said. "The lobster I had was excellent."

"So was my steak and the service was also exceptional," Dave said.

"In a place like that though, of course it was exceptional," Samira said. "Even I know that and I never go somewhere so fancy."

"That's true," Dave agreed, even as Jerry closed the window that led to the front so the couple could have their privacy for the drive. "As for going anywhere so fancy I suggest you be prepared to go to a lot of fancy places with me. There's a premiere to a new movie that I've been invited to and I'm allowed to bring a plus one. I'd like you to come with me. It's a private showing and only invited guests will be there. It's not for the public."

"And why are you invited. It can't just be because you're very wealthy."

"I have a hand in the movie business and I bank rolled some of the cost," Dave answered honestly. "One of the directors is a friend of mine and he contacted me for help with the funding. It's going to be a major motion picture. This showing next week is just a private showing before it's put into theaters.

"I see," Samira said stunned by what Dave had told her. She had known that he was very wealthy in her head but when he could help bank roll a major motion picture that just brought home to her that he was indeed very rich. She knew that movies took hundreds of thousands of dollars to produce. "I'll be happy to go with you as your plus one. I'll need to buy a new dress as I don't have anything suitable for a movie premiere."

Samira winced, as that was going to cut into her bank account as such dress would be several hundred dollars at least. Luckily, the limo was dark enough that Dave likely didn't see her wince. She certainly couldn't afford the wardrobe she would need if she was going to continue to date David Rossi if he was going to take her to events like private showings of major motion pictures. She couldn't just wear the same outfit to every event as she was sure there would be reporters and photographers and that pictures would be taken.

Samira wasn't aware of it Dave had seen the wince despite the darkness of the backseat and it took him a few moments to figure out why.

She was likely worried about the cost of the wardrobe she would need to go the places he planned to take her as Penelope had done a background check on her and while she made a decent living such a wardrobe would be beyond her range.

He would buy her a new wardrobe he decided. He only hoped that she accepted it and didn't think it was to much. He would send Penelope along with his credit card to help her pick out things for herself. He only hoped that she didn't refuse because if she did he would just have to guess at her size and buy things for her to have them delivered to her apartment.

She would have to accept then, because she wouldn't be able to take the clothes back.

Once they got back at Samira's apartment and Jerry got out of the car and held the door open for Samira too emerge. Once Samira had got out of the car Jerry gave her the bag that the waiter had handed him before they had driven away from the restaurant.

Samira looked inside and practically salivated when she saw the desert in the clear plastic container that she had claimed she didn't want because she was full and also that she didn't need the calories.

Samira now knew what Dave had told the waiter so quietly at the restaurant that she couldn't hear what he said and that was to add an extra dessert to his bill. He had bought it for her to enjoy once she got home.

Dave had somehow known that she really wanted to try the mousse, even though she had denied it, because she didn't want to spend the money if she had ended up paying.

Such a gesture was very thoughtful, but Samira was beginning to learn that David Rossi despite his status was a very kind hearted and thoughtful man.

"Thank Dave for me, would you?" Samira told Jerry who nodded. "This was very thoughtful of him and I really appreciate it."

"I'll let him know Miss," Jerry promised before he got back into the driver's seat of the limo and once Samira was inside a building he drove away.

~~~Dave and Samira~~~
There was a knock at her apartment door at just before 10 the next day after her date with Dave. Samira looked up in surprise as she wasn't expecting anyone.
"Can I help you?" Samira asked the blonde woman on the other side. The woman was on the hefty side and definitely wasn't the skinny model type. She was dressed in expensive brand name jeans and a real silk blouse that Samira knew that she must have some money to buy them.
"My name is Penelope Garcia and I work for Mr. Rossi. Can I come in?"
"Of course," Samira said opening her apartment door wider and stepping out of the way.
"Now what can I do for you Miss Garcia?" Samira asked.
"First you can call me Penny as Miss Garcia is way too formal," Penelope replied. "As for the reason I'm here, it's to take you shopping for an outfit for the movie premiere that Mr. Rossi has already asked you to. Mr. Rossi called me into his office to give me instructions and handed me his credit card. He said everything's on him and since he doesn't know anything about women's fashion he sent me along."
"I cannot accept," Samira said feeling broken hearted when she said the words, but it wasn't right to use Dave's money to buy herself fancy duds. Besides, such generosity usually came with expectations usually sexual in nature and she was nowhere near ready to hop in the bed with him. "It's simply too much. Tell Mr. Rossi I've changed my mind about that premiere. It clear to me that I just don't have the money to keep up with someone like him."
"He told me you might say that," Penelope said looking at Samira appraisingly seeing that she looked broken hearted once the words were said. "He said you might be too proud to accept such an expensive gift from him, so he told me to tell you that if you don't accept then he's just going to buy you a whole new wardrobe and have it delivered here. Things you won't be able to return, because you won't know where they come from."
"He wouldn't!" Samira protested automatically and then thought about what she really knew about David Rossi. One of his traits was that he was generous to a fault. "I suppose he would," Samira admitted finally biting her lip in realization.
"Yes, he would indeed. He's my employer and a nicer man you'll never meet, but he's used to getting his way. He's also very generous with his money and his time. He has instructed me to help you buy an outfit for the premiere and any other place that you go with him," Penelope added. "He doesn't expect anything in return, except your company at wherever he takes you. Considering how wealthy he is he's really unpretentious and undemanding. He pays his employees very generously depending on position and duties."
"So you're telling me he doesn't expect me to sleep with him at least not until I'm ready to," Samira said.
"He told me to tell you that he'll put no pressure on you to sleep with him," Penelope said.
Samira blinked in astonishment as so far David Rossi had proven so different from other men that she had known that it was amazing.
"I can guess what you are thinking and yes, Dave is different from most men," Penelope smiled.
"You called him Dave," Samira immediately noticed, "instead of Mr. Rossi."
"I've worked for him the last six years and he told me to call him Dave not long after I started," Penelope said.
"So what do you do for him?" Samira asked.
"I am his technology expert, especially with computers. Whenever he has a question I'll answer it and also he gives me other little tasks," Penelope shrugged. "You know today is all about technology and it is rare individual who understands it and so can explain it. Most people just accept that it exists not caring about how it works. He certainly manages to keep me busy with all the tasks he gives me to accomplish. Since I'm paid very well for my expertise I certainly don't mind."
This was true so Samira nodded.
She didn't understand most technology, but that didn't mean she didn't know how to operate it if she had to. Technology was just part of every day life and most people didn't really care how it worked just that it did.
"I don't really feel comfortable accepting such an expensive gift," Samira admitted.
"I don't blame you there because most such gifts come with obligations," Penelope said. "You know Dave doesn't expect anything in return."
"I suppose we had better go shopping then," Samira decided.
"Wise decision," Penelope said. "We better get going as this is likely to take all day."
Samira nodded, gathered her purse and made sure she had her link before following Penelope out the door making sure to lock it behind her.
