Misty walked through Haywood on her way to the El Coyote Cojo. Something felt different but she couldn't place her finger on it. However the only thing she could think of is what ever Mamá Welles made for dinner. Every since Jackie died and V talked to her, Misty had been coming over once a week. Nither of them had really gotten over his death but it helps in its weird way. Misty also couldn't believe how Mamá Welles managed to get her to eat meat. However when you have the favorite dish of your deceased lover right in front of you, you kinda have to take a bite for them. But Misty made it clear that's the only time she would do it. Eventually she made it to the bar were she was greeted by Mamá Welles.
"How's Mijita?" Mamá Welles asked giving Misty a hug.
"I'm hanging in there. It's not easy without him, but you know that just as well." Misty replied.
"I know I say this every time you come by, but you bring here makes it feel as if there's a little bit of him still around."
"I know, but we should talk about what is currently happening. How's business?"
"I'm not complaining, off duty Enclave soldiers need to drink like everyone else. Crime is also way down since they took over."
"Same in Watson, though they are not really interested in what I have to sell."
"But, they are mindful of God." A familiar voice says.
"Ah, Padre, so nice to see you." Mama Welles says.
"Likewise. With their takeover, I have decided to focus more on my faith seeing how my other 'talents' are no longer needed. I see this as God answering my prayers in a weird way."
"How so?" Misty asks as they all sit down.
"I prayed that one day the people of this community would go and find God. That there would be a day were the Valintnos no longer took our children from their mothers only for them to end up in a early grave. Now the Enclave's methods may be brutal at the moment, their goal is clear: to make certain crimes unthinkable as so there won't have to be laws against them."
"If only Jackie was here to see this."
"Jackie may not be here, but he knows and is happy that we get to experience it." Pepe says as he brings shots to the table.
"Well, glory to the Enclave then." Misty says before drinking a shot.
"How about I bring out what I made for dinner?" Mamá Welles says before getting up.
