Time to introduce my OC's. Except Julia, every other character I own. Please enjoy and reviews are appreciated.
Being the manager of Bladebreakers was considered to be a very prestigious job. It meant that you were one of the best personnel in the BBA when it came to your chosen beyblading career. What many people didn't realize, however, that it involved also a lot of work, and not just veneration and fame. Coaching the school of the new trainers, work on strength and weakness of team players, monitor their diet and intake, ensuring their medications and exercise. Assuring the contracts of new rookies, handle budgeting duties…so many much more. And worst part…
There was paperwork. Lots and lots of paperwork. There were inspections and evaluations and unannounced visits from Association officials.
And if that wasn't enough, there were the lengthy meetings.
The purpose of the meetings was to compare notes and examine the current state of all the beybladers in a team. Win to loss ratios were displayed and discussed, along with training techniques, exercises, ideas for the upcoming month, and expectations from the Association. Much too often, however, the meetings ended up becoming a tangled mess of rumors, myths, and "he said she said" scenarios that made the professional conference feel more like a high school homeroom.
No one hated it more than Hilary.
She took her job very seriously, but it didn't seem like anyone else did. As soon as the first hint of silence would emerge in the meetings, the other authorized managers would all start talking at once, and not about tournament related topics.
So, when Hilary arrived for the next meeting, she was fully prepared for another three hours of "did you hear" and "someone told me" and the ever popular, "I know someone's brother's cousin who told me…"
Hilary couldn't stand it. But at least she knew what to expect.
Walking into the conference room, Hilary dejectedly dropped her handbag onto the table and tugged at her aqua blue satin blouse to straighten it out. The last thing she needed, after all, was for someone like Julia to get in her face and begin trash talking her outfit. It was going to be bad enough having to listen to her, and everyone else, go on and on about business that wasn't any of their concern.
"Hey! There she is!"
The brunette sighed and turned around, finding herself face-to-face with none other than Watson and Sergei, the coaches of AAS. Why that team was so hard to find a coach for, Hilary had no idea. But she knew that Sergei was fairly annoying and immature for his age.
In a way, he was like Tyson. But at least Tyson had some redeeming qualities.
"Hey guys," Hilary muttered, turning back to her bag and digging through it, pretending to search for something.
"So…we heard something pretty interesting," Sergei hummed, striding up to Hilary's side.
"Cool," Hilary drawled sarcastically. "Bet I don't care."
"Bet you do," he teased.
Hilary rolled her eyes, but chose not to respond with any actual words.
"We heard you was datin' the winner of the World Championships," Watson continued. "What's his name again?"
"Tyson Granger!" Sergei warbled, causing Hilary to shoot back up to her full height.
"Where did you hear that?" Hilary demanded to know, getting in the two coaches' faces.
"Everyone in the Association is talking about it!" Watson chuckled. "So, tell me, has he grown up at all since his baby days?"
"Is he really as dense as everyone says he is?" Sergei pressed.
"You two are like a couple of teenage girls!" Hilary growled, pushing past the two prying men. "My romantic life really isn't any of your business!"
"We just wanted to know if the rumors were true!" Sergei whined.
"Like hell I'm telling you, romeo," Hilary muttered, leading Sergei to frown and subconsciously touch the strands of his hair.
Before Hilary could even think about catching a break, she was soon faced with two more team mascots: Julia and Ellie. Also known as the worst offenders of the chit chat.
"Oh no," Hilary groaned under her breath.
"Hilary!" Ellie squealed. "You're dating Tyson?!"
"Uh-"
"You couldn't find anyone else? Is he still a lousy loud mouth?" Julia huffed.
"That was years ago, Julia, get over it!" Hilary hissed.
"Well, is he at least any more mature than he was back then?" Julia tried. "I can't imagine it would be much fun to date such a child."
"I never said I was dating him!" Hilary screeched. "But he's not a child anymore."
"So you are dating him!" Julia trilled.
"I never said that!" Hilary repeated angrily. "It is possible for a boy and a girl to just be friends, you know! We're friends! We hang out together, as friends! Quit trying to make some big deal out of nothing!"
"Of course we know that," Ellie sighed. "But you and Tyson certainly seem like a lot more than friends!"
"Don't we have to start the meeting soon?" Hilary pressed, trying to change the subject. "We should all probably sit down and start getting our paperwork in ord-"
"Hilary, you're dating Tyson?!"
The brunette scowled and looked towards the door, where Joseph had just walked through. He had a goofy grin on his face that soon transformed into one of confusion when he saw Hilary's angry glare.
"I thought you were on my side!" Hilary seethed.
"I am!" Joseph cried, holding his hands in front of himself for protection. "I'm just curious is all!"
"Alright, that's it," Hilary bit, pulling out her chair and stepping on it so she could reach the table and clamber up onto the center of it. "Listen up, you nosy psychopaths! I am not dating Tyson Granger! And even if I was, it wouldn't be any of your business! So, how about we all sit down and actually attempt to do our jo-"
"Hilary, you forgot your lunch at my house!"
The people in the room all turned around and stared out into the hallway. Tyson was awkwardly present, holding up a brown bag and shifting his matching eyes between the hoard of stunned managers.
"Well, that didn't work," Hilary muttered to herself, smacking a hand against her forehead.
"And you also left without giving me a kiss!"
"TYSON! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"
