Hello, Trainers and Hunters. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Rwby: Remnant's Trainers! In the last chapter, it was Blake's time to shine with Zorua. Blake found him in the Menagerie Jungle and brought him home where he was quickly scooped up by Kali. Soon, however, Zorua is revealed to be a Pokemon when two Poochyena attack, causing him and Blake to work together to beat them. In the end of the chapter, Zorua is welcomed into the Belladonna Household as part of Blake's family.

Now, it's time for Companion For An Arc!
*Arcadia. Arcadia Woods. 10:10 am*
*Jaune Arc. Age 10*
Jaune and his family were just setting up for a week of camping, though the young Arc was less than happy. Even though his parents agreed to train him, he didn't show much skill, and thus his parents stopped. So now, he was feeling down in the dumps. His sisters tried cheering him up, but it didn't work. Currently, he was gathering firewood so he could be by himself. He saw something move all of a sudden and hesitated in following. However, that changed when said something stared right at him from a distance.
Making a decision right there, Jaune dropped the firewood and ran towards the figure. What he saw surprised him: It was a small eaglet with a blue body with three tail feathers, a yellow beak and legs, thick black talons, a white feather plume covering its head including a single red and white feather in the center just above its eyes which were black with white irises. "Hey, little guy." The eaglet pokemon tried to bite Jaune with its beak.
"Hey, hey, it's okay." Jaune tried to reassure the eaglet which was looking at the young Arc suspiciously.
"Rufflet!" Rufflet squawked.
"So, your name is Rufflet?" Jaune asked, to which the eaglet Pokemon nodded swiftly. "Okay. Are you hungry?"
"Ruff." Rufflet tilted its head to the left slightly until spotting a berry. Flying up to it, Rufflet cracked it open with its talons.
"Never mind. You can take care of yourself pretty good, huh?" Jaune smiled.
"Rufflet!" Rufflet squawked in pride.
Jaune heard his family calling to him. "Sorry, Rufflet. I've got to go." Suddenly, Rufflet flew up to his shoulder and perched itself, slightly hurting the young Arc with its talons. "You wanna come with me?"
"Ruff!" Rufflet began to nuzzle Jaune's cheek softly.
Once Jaune reacquired the firewood, he made his way back to his family, with Rufflet still on his right shoulder.
"Jaune, where were you?!" Jaune's mother, Artoria asked in panic. "What's that on your shoulder?"
"Aww, it's adorable!" One of Jaune's older sisters, Roslyn cooed, but when she tried to touch Rufflet, Rufflet squawked, startling her.
"I believe this creature is what is called a Pokemon." Another of Jaune's older sisters, Lindsay answered.
"A Pokemon? Like those creatures that started popping up three years ago?" Jaune's father, Jonathan asked.
"Then why is this one perched on my little boy's shoulder?" Arotira raised an eyebrow.
"Rufflet took a liking to me." Jaune replied with a small smile.
"Really?" Roslyn had small sparkles in her eyes, hoping their parents would let Rufflet stay with them. Soon however, they heard deep growling. At least four Beowolves walked out of the woods staring at the Arc Family.
"Kids, get inside, now!" Jonathan ordered and the kids went inside the tents while Jon brought out his greatsword. "Come and get some." With that, the four Beowolves charged the Arc Patriarch.
Inside one of the tents, Jaune was trying to contain Rufflet. "Rufflet, I want to help my Dad as much as you do, but there are four Beowolves out there. We wouldn't be much of a match for them." Rufflet wasn't having any of it, though. He spotted Jaune's scroll and lightly pecked at it. The scroll scanned the eaglet pokemon and it shone. Seconds later, Jaune's scroll was yellow. "Whoa!"
Outside, Jonathan had taken done two of the four Beowolves, but obviously, he was distracted by protecting his family and the remaining Grimm present knew it. Suddenly, Jaune ran outside with Rufflet by his side. "Jaune! What the hell are you doing?!" Jonathan shouted.
"Being brave!" Jaune shouted back, Rufflet flying off Jaune's shoulder and actually began scratching out one of the Beowolf's eyes out, shocking the patriarch that a small bird would willingly take on a Bewolf. Said Beowolf howled in pain at having one of it's eyes scratched and clawed at the eaglet pokemon, accidentally hitting the other Beowolf in it's rage. "Rufflet, use Peck attack!" Rufflet did just that and pecked that Beowolf's second eye out, making it bleed.
"Oh, that's something you don't see every day." Jonathan commented as he easily blocked the second Beowolf's attack. Jaune picked up his practice sword and ran toward the blinded Beowolf, despite it swingning it's claws wildly. "Jaune!" What Jonathan didn't expect to see was his son that didn't show much prowess stab the Beowolf in the head, killing it instantly. "My boy..."
"Rufflet! Let's do that Peck attack one more time!" Jaune smiled, and Rufflet pecked another eye out and went to scratch out the other. All the while, Jonathan watched the battle end with a smile. "That was awesome, Rufflet!"
"Rufflet!" Rufflet squawked in pride as it perched itself on Jaune's shoulder again.
"Son... What I just saw was something I didn't think I'd see." Jonathan admitted. "I watched you fight with strategy with that Pokemon, and even kill those two Beowolves without assistance from me or your sisters. I was wrong to deny you training. I'm sorry. Perhaps you'd like to try again?"
"Dad..." Jaune immediately hugged his father.
"Is it over?" Artoria asked.
"Thanks to our son and his new friend." Jonathan beamed with pride.
"Ruff!" Rufflet flew over to the Arc matriarch and nuzzled her cheek.
"Aw... Thank you for helping us." Artoria thanked.
"Can we keep him, please?" Lindsay asked.
Jonathan chuckled. "Yes, Lindsay. Rufflet can stay."
Jaune was certainly feeling better today. He'd found a new friend that helped his family, and got his father to try training him again. He felt Rufflet's wing cover the back of his neck. "Thanks, Rufflet. I promise I'll be the best trainer for you." Rufflet appeared to understand that and nodded. Jaune began thinking that his dream may just work out after all.
Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. This time, it was Jaune who got a Pokemon with Rufflet. Though hesitant, Rufflet perches onto Jaune's shoulder and joins him back to his family. We meet Jaune's mother and father, Artoria and Jonathan respectively, and two of his older sisters: Roslyn and Lindsay. Rufflet actually proves himself to the Arc family by scratching a Beowolf's eye out. Things got a little violent this chapter, courtesy of Rufflet pecking the Beowolves' eyes out.
