Hello, fellow trainers. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. I'm sorry it took me a while to get back to this story and my stories in general, but my new work schedule is sporadic starting out. I'll try to come up with a schedule to make writing more effective.

In the last chapter, we met the Team Galactic Lieutenant: Joey "Jawbreaker" Cross and his Gible: Sand Jaws. We also saw a few cops in Vale killed by Cross and Torchwick while the Team Galactic Grunts stole Dust. This guy may turn out to be a tough customer.

Now, time for some training at Forever Fall!

*Vale. Beacon Academy. Teams RWBY & JNPR. 12:21 pm*

The two teams were enjoying some downtime on the weekend. They'd spent the week studying and training, more so than other students since they had Pokemon. Currently, they were lounging around in Rwby's dorm room, though Jaune was getting the mail. "Whoo! Even with my Thunder Thighs, I'm beat." Nora panted, Thor cuddling up to her.

"You said it, Nora." Yang agreed, softly patting Johnny's head.

"Char…" Johnny yawned, his four teeth showing for a moment.

Just then, Weiss and Nicholas came out of the bathroom, Nicholas with a little pep in his step. "I'm happy you had fun, Nicholas." Weiss scooped him up and hugged him.

"You know? We should go into Vale and have some fun." Ruby suggested.

"Good idea, sis." Yang smiled.

"Unfortunately, remember that Professor Goodwitch told us that she'd take us to Forever Fall ahead of the other students cause of our Pokemon." Blake reminded.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot." Ruby slumped.

"Lilli." Rosebud stood up in her lap and nuzzled her cheek, getting her to smile again.

A knock was heard on the door. "Ah, that must be Jaune." Pyrrha got up and opened the door and there was Jaune as well as Ace perched on his shoulder, but Summer and Glynda were also with them.

"Hey, Mom!" Ruby waved. "What are you doing here?"

"There's been an incident in Vale involving Team Galactic and Roman Torchwick was involved." Summer informed in a somber tone.

"Some cops were killed by being burned alive." Glynda added, shocking the two teams.

Nora, despite being able to eat stacks of pancakes in one day retched, but managed to keep herself from throwing up right then and there, same with Ruby and Weiss. Yang's jaw was on the floor, Blake, Ren, and Pyrrha were wide-eyed. "Why would they kill cops like that?" Ruby asked quietly, still holding her stomach.

"So that they can take whatever they want, sweetie." Summer answered, rubbing her daughter's back.

"Anyway, your mail will have to wait. Let us head to Forever Fall Forest and I'll explain your task when we're there." Glynda motioned. RWBY and the rest of JNPR got up and went with Glynda and Summer to a Bullhead. Seconds later, the Bullhead took off and made its way to Forever Fall Forest.

Once there, the group exited the Bullhead and Glynda brought out a large case while Summer told the pilot to remain on standby. "What's in the case, Ms. Goodwitch?" Weiss asked.

Glynda didn't respond and opened the case, revealing multiple belts of Poke-Balls as well as purple and teal spray bottle-esque items. "There's been a massive influx of Pokemon in this forest as well as everywhere on Remnant. Ozpin, Rowan and I agree that you eight should expand your team."

"A very good idea. We don't know when we'll fight a Pokemon with a type advantage." Weiss voiced. "And those are Potions, right?"

"Very acute, Ms. Schnee." Glynda nodded with a small smile. "These will heal your Pokemon by 20% if they're hurt. You each will get five Poke-Balls and five Potions to start with. You each will be tasked with trying to catch a second Pokemon to add to your teams, though even if you don't catch one, you won't fail as this isn't a legitimate task. This is just so you can be more prepared for the future."

"Yes, Ms. Goodwitch." Teams RWBY and JNPR said. With that, they split up, each heading out on their own.

Ruby and Rosebud were slowly walking around, just enjoying the scenery. With her mother back in her life, her childhood was a lot happier. In fact, aside from being a Huntress and training Pokemon, she had actually picked up a hobby: Baking. She began thinking she could use sap from the trees for a new recipe when she heard rustling.

"Pup." Rosebud growled as she readied into a combat stance. What came out of the bush was a red worm with ten legs, slightly spiky skin, two big yellow spikes sticking out its rear end, a small yellow horn on its head, and two large yellow eyes with black irises.

"Oooh, a new Pokemon!" Ruby's eyes sparkled. She scanned it with her Poke-Scroll and saw it was a Wurmple. "A Wurmple. Alright, Rosebud, let's weaken it."

"Wurm!" The Wurmple unleashed a String Shot with decreased Rosebud's speed.

"Okay, Rosebud! Tackle!" Ruby ordered. Rosebud tackled the Wurmple, bringing its HP down to a tad under half as Ruby's Poke-Scroll displayed its health to be nearly in the red. "Alright, let's do this!" Ruby threw a Poke-Ball at the Wurmple which got sucked into it. It wiggled three times before it stopped. "Yes! We have a new friend!" Rosebud jumped up in happiness. Suddenly, her Poke-Scroll pinged. Checking it out, Ruby saw that Rosebud had learned Bite, a dark-type move. "Way to go, Rosebud!" Ruby crouched and rubbed Rosebud's head while she nuzzled her trainer's hand.

"Now as for you, I think I'll call you… Thorn. Alright, Rosebud. Let's head back." Ruby called the Lillipup back inside her Poke-Ball before using her semblance to speed back to the landing site.

With Weiss, she and Nicholas were not as confident as Nicholas was a water type and there was no doubt there would be various grass types in the forest. Still, the two were up to the task. Suddenly, they stopped when they saw a Wurmple of their own. "Ugh… Not a fan of Bug types, so we'll just train."

"Piplup!" Nicholas got ready for training.

"Alright, Nicholas, use Tackle!" Weiss said. Nicholas ran up to the bug Pokemon and hit it before running back. The Wurmple used Poison Sting, but Nicholas was able to dodge it.

"Hit it with another Tackle!" Nicholas repeated his previous action and knocked out the Wurmple, making it faint.

"Piplup!" Nicholas posed with pride.

"Good job, Nicholas." Weiss smiled. Suddenly, her Poke-Scroll pinged. Checking it, she saw Nicholas had leveled up to level 8, learning the move Bubble in the process. "Nicholas, you've learned a new move, and it's a water type one!" Nicholas raised his flippers up in joy.

Blake and Shadow were taking a stroll, hoping to gain a new teammate when they saw a Ledyba just staring at them, readying for a battle. "Alright, Shadow. Time to train." The Ledyba performed a Swift attack, launching a bunch of stars which hit Shadow. "Shadow! Are you okay?!"

"Zor." Shadow reassured.

"Good. Now, Scratch!" Blake gestured. Shadow scratched the wild Ledyba, causing it to nearly faint in one shot, but it was more resilient than that as it performed another Swift attack, bringing Shadow's health meter to yellow, as displayed on Blake's Poke-Scroll. "Another Scratch should do it." Shadow repeated his action and brought the Ledyba down. "Good job, Shadow." She then cradled him in her arms and brought out a Potion to heal him. "Now, this may sting a bit." Indeed, Shadow winced in pain, but it was for the better as Shadow's HP went back up to full.

Yang and Johnny had all kinds of confidence since Johnny was a fire type. Yang knew they had a clear advantage in Forever Fall. "Why don't we train, Johnny?"

"Char!" Johnny seemed to grin. A few minutes later, the two were just finished fighting a few bug types.

"Mander..." Johnny seemed sad.

Yang noticed this, and crouched down. "What's wrong?"

"Char..." Johnny responded.

"Aw, you wanted a new friend." Yang understood, rubbing her Pokemon's head softly. Johnny leaned into her soft touch. "Don't worry, Johnny. We'll have more friends."

Jaune and Ace were already in the middle of a battle with a couple of wild Spinaraks. Both used Poison Sting at the same time that were evaded by Ace. However, Jaune had a small smirk. "Ace, use Peck!" Ace dove in and since Peck was a flying type move, it proved to be super effective. The first Spinarak was brought down quickly and the second one followed only a couple minutes later. "Nice!"

Ace squawlked in pride. "Ruff!"

"You don't want these bug types as a new companion, do you?" Jaune asked. He got his answer when Ace shook his head. "I understand."

Nora was hopping around with a smile on her face with Thor on her head. Like most of the others, she didn't feel like catching any Pokemon for now. She was using this time to train with Thor. Now, the two were just lazing around when the valkyrie spotted something in the bushes. "Hm?" She slowly walked up with Magnhild just to be safe. What she saw was a red berry. "Oooh..." She put the berry in a special pouch on her outifit that Ren had given her.

Thor skittered up to her, curious. "

Pyrrha and Achilles were already in a battle with a Spinarak which Achilles quickly beat. Pyrrha rubbed her Bagon's head affectionately. "You're doing good, Achilles."

"Bagon." Achilles seemed to smile. "Ba..."

"What is it?" Pyrrha tilted her head. Achilles made a couple gestures with his tiny hands. "Jaune? Oh, Achilles, I can't until the right time." Achilles seemed to laugh a little at his trainer's slight blush.

Ren and Lotus weren't really interested in catching another Pokemon for now. Training was also secondary More so, they were actually going for a different objective: Ren was on the hunt for berries that he'd recently started reading about and Lotus was helping him as he could search the tree-tops. "Find anything, Lotus?"

"Tree." Lotus shook his head. Ren sighed. He was actually hoping to find some berries to see if they could be used for other purposes besides helping Pokemon. However, something caught the glint of his magenta eyes. He spotted an orange berry in one of the nearby bushes.

"What kind of berry are you?" Ren asked aloud as he picked the berry and put it in a special pouch so it wouldn't get crushed. "Lotus, let's search around some more." His Treecko climbed down the tree and followed him around the forest some more.

An hour and a half later, the two teams returned to Glynda and Summer. "Well, how did you all fare?" Summer asked.

"I caught a Wurmple and named it Thorn!" Ruby cheered.

"Nicholas learned Bubble which will be good against fire, ground, and rock types." Weiss smiled, holding her Piplup.

"Shadow and I trained as well." Blake said simply.

"Same with me and Johnny, though Johnny was hoping we'd get a new companion." Yang answered.

"Ace and I didn't catch a new Pokemon unfortunately, but these bug types just weren't for us." Jaune explained.

"Achilles and I trained as well

"Thor and I mostly trained, but I did find this." Nora said as she carefully took out the berry she found.

"I am the same as Nora." Ren said as he took out his berry.

"Interesting. I had a feeling berries would start growing when the Pokemon began springing up." Glynda mused. "Nora, what you have is a Cheri Berry which can heal your Pokemon from paralysis. Ren, you have a Pecha Berry which can heal Pokemon of poison. You two made good finds. We can finally put these under research."

Ren interrupted her. "Excuse me, Ms. Goodwitch. I have a personal request: I would like to research these berries. I think they have potential to help more than just Pokemon."

Glynda thought over it for a moment. "Before anything is done, Mr. Ren, talk to Professor Peach. Perhaps she can help you get started."

"Thank you." Ren bowed.

"As for the rest of you, not including Ruby. As I said, it's okay if you didn't catch more Pokemon. I have a feeling you all will in the future." Glynda said with a small smile. With that, the two teams and teachers entered the Bullhead and made their way back to Beacon.

*Vale. Team Galactic Hideout. Roman Torchwick. 14:32 pm*

Roman and Joey "Jawbreaker" Cross were discussing the dust shipment at the docks while Team Galactic Grunts were preparing for the operation. "Are you sure everything's prepared?" Joey sneered.

"I've told you five times: Everything is as ready as can be." Roman groaned in frustration.

"Forgive me if I don't believe your words." Joey growled. Sand Jaws growled with his trainer.

"This time, we will be ready for little red and whatever friends she may have now." Roman growled back. He didn't appreciate this Team Galactic Lieutenant constantly talking down to him. He was Roman Torchwick, Remnant's greatest thief and he wouldn't stand for it.

Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Remnant's Trainers. This was mainly a training chapter for Rwby and Jnpr, but we did get a little bit of drama in the beginning with Summer and Glynda informing the two teams. Ruby caught a Wurmple which she names Thorn. None of the others caught a second Pokemon yet. Ren, in particular, has found a Pecha Berry. We'll see what he does with that. Not only that, but Nora found a Cheri Berry as well.

Meanwhile, we get a short scene where Roman Torchwick and "Jawbreaker" Cross discuss the dust shipment at the docks.

As usual, if anyone has any ideas for this story, please let me know in the comments/reviews, or personally PM me.
